15 Restaurants To Make You Fall In Love With London Again

"There’s something about a quiet, neighbourhood spot, that you can only get to via narrow back roads, that feels special—and innately London. At Danieru, it’s also impossible for more than eight people to eat inside at one time, but as soon as the sun’s out, you can eat the incredible sushi on the delightful terrace instead. The tableside-grated wasabi is the best we’ve ever tasted, every interaction with the staff is a wholesome one, and people-watching in this pocket of Chelsea is exclusively pups and locals walking them." - daisy meager, jake missing, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, heidi lauth beasley, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak, jake missing, jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, sinead cranna, jake

Danieru Sushi Review - Chelsea - London - The Infatuation

"Danieru, a sushi restaurant by Chelsea Common, is small but serious. You’ll find touches here that you don’t get everywhere else—like grating wasabi tableside to order—and you truly feel taken care of at all times. We’re big fans of the excellent (in taste and value) six-piece salmon and tuna nigiri set, and the crispy tempura-filled, salmon-topped rolls. The generously filled spicy chutoro roll is also a crowd-pleaser, but know that the menu will inevitably make its way back to your table when you realise you absolutely need another round of buttery hotate nigiri. The restriction that comes with dinner here is that it’s impossible to seat more than eight people at a time (unless the weather is good, in which case the terrace is the best place to be). But honestly, this place is better in pairs anyway—more pieces of top-tier sushi for you. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch" - Rianne Shlebak

🍣🎉 Absolutely Outstanding Birthday at Danieru Sushi! 🎉🍣 I celebrated my birthday last night at Danieru Sushi, and it was truly phenomenal. Recommended by The Infatuation (and deservedly recognised with an award!), this tiny gem seats only eight, making the experience incredibly intimate and special.✨ The sushi was among the best I've ever had—the hotate (scallop) was extraordinary, melting in the mouth like butter! 🤤 Every piece showcased incredible craftsmanship and freshness. The authentic Japanese staff provided A* service: attentive, warm, and perfectly paced. 🇯🇵👌🏼 They even surprised me with a lovely gesture at the end of the meal for my birthday, making the night truly unforgettable. 🎂🥳 Our meal was £222 for two, including plenty of incredible sushi—worth every penny. I honestly cannot wait to go back! Highly, highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had the honour of dining with my dearest companion, a steadfast friend since the days of our youth, for an omakase supper of the finest order. Through the years, he has remained ever by my side, a true constant amidst life’s many turns. Fortune smiled upon us, for the evening’s fare was nothing short of splendid—an experience most exquisite and, indeed, worth every farthing expended.

I’m so glad I found this place. Quality food, all the ingredients are so fresh. Really enjoyed the sashimi set, nigiri set and the prawn eel sushi roll. Will definitely come back

Spectacular little place. The food is amazing, fresh, tasty, and presented with great attention to details. The 2 waitresses are gorgeous and so attentive. You have 3 chefs and 2 waitresses for the 8 covers restaurant, it feels like a private chef experience. Me and my gf will be back very often to this little gem.

This place is great! The food is absolutely delicious. They make their own soy sauce and the wasabi is fresh and unlike that boring pasty stuff you typically find in Japanese restaurants. The fish is absolutely fresh and beautifully prepared. We loved the staff as well. The vibe of the interior makes for such an enjoyable evening. If we lived in London, we would make this a regular spot for dining.

Love it! Absolutely incredible sushi - so fresh, bursting with flavour, and top quality! The service was exceptional, with staff who truly looked after us. The atmosphere was authentic and full of charm, we didn’t want to leave! Without a doubt, my favourite sushi spot in London. Highly recommend!

A small but cozy restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. I tried the wagyu tataki, which was the highlight of my meal—absolutely fantastic. I also sampled sashimi and 3-4 different special rolls, all of which were flavorful and made with high-quality ingredients. While the wagyu was excellent, the overall experience felt a bit pricey. Additionally, not being able to pay in cash was inconvenient.

Best sushi in London so far! Small but cozy place with 8 outdoor seating, 8 indoor seating. Inside is a bit tight, that’s why we sat outside. They had heaters and blankets so no issue enjoying the cozy atmosphere in a slightly chilly weather! All special rolls we had (California Mango Roll, Snowcrab Crunch Roll, Salmon Dragon Roll, Salmon Crunch Roll) were very delicious but if you must choose, try California Mango Roll! Incredibly warm staff, very kind and helpful. We didn’t know which sake to order, they helped us choose the perfect fit for us. They also found a solution for my son and served an ice-tea which was not on the menu.
