I’ve been coming to Dannee Thai for close to 7 years, and I have only compliments. I’m moving out and this restaurant is what I’ll miss most not being in this neighborhood anymore. Best of luck and 5/5 forever!

Absolutely one of the best Thai spots in New York! Dannee Thai is an absolute gem — everything from the cozy atmosphere to the rich, authentic flavors makes this place feel like a true taste of Thailand. The staff are always friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about every guest’s experience. I tried the Pad Kee Mao and Green Curry, and both were bursting with fresh herbs, perfect spice, and that comforting homemade flavor you rarely find in the city. The presentation was beautiful, portions were generous, and everything came out hot and flavorful. You can tell the chefs put love into every dish. The place is clean, well-decorated with a touch of Thai charm, and the service is consistently excellent. Whether dining in or taking out, Dannee Thai never disappoints. Highly recommend for anyone who wants real Thai food made with heart — this place deserves all the love and support! 💚🇹🇭

Had green curry lunch with squid. It was enjoyable. A tiny bit spicy that I was mildly sweeting -- maybe also it was just being a hot day 😄 the spring roll wasn't as I had expected though. Was expecting it to be the fresh kind not the fried one. And it was just alright. Service was great. The young woman was always smiling and extra polite, for example, placing extra napkins on the table with both hands and with a light bow. I don't think that's a Thai culture thing, right, and it's just this restaurant? 😄

Cozy little place with reasonably priced menu and lunch specials. The grilled squid was unique and very good. Sauce is spicy with chopped jalapenos. Got the green curry with mock duck, which is probably gluten. The creamy seafood tom yum soup with noodles was also really tasty.

A very lovely restaurant in Brooklyn. The decor here is cool. Decorated with old album covers of vintage jazz and seventies R&B. The green curry was a bit too rich for me but everything else was great. Great prices, great service. They have a huge takeout business as well. Nonstop couriers here.

Incredibly generous portions and amazing flavors, lunch special for $12 + a $1 additional appetizer is unheard of and a must!!! Kind service and quick serving time in a quiet atmosphere, truly a hidden gem!!!!

I ordered mixed seafood drunken noodles. I had to stop eating to write this review. Just wanna say “this is it!!”

Absolutely delicious !! The green curry was so comforting and flavorful. I got takeout so can't speak for the service but would definitely go back and try another dish here again.

We were in need of a last minute 8pm reservation on a Saturday night in NYC, a daunting task, and were able to secure one at Dannee Thai. We were only one of two parties in the restaurant on a Saturday night which is usually a bad sign, but luckily that was far from the case! Service was speedy and attentive. The space itself was well-lit and had natural plant-themed decor. The food was all delicious and flavorful. We started with the papaya salad which was bright, sour, and had many textures to it. Edamame was pretty standard. My main was the chili basil tofu with vegetables which I got with the coconut sticky rice on the side. The dish was bold and just the right spice level. Coconut sticky rice wasn't anything to rave about. Everything was reasonably priced for NYC too. Would return!

Question: When you want to pick up dessert in a specific area but want to eat of course a meal first, do you dine in the area the dessert establishment resides in, or do you go to your favorite restaurant first and then take a second trip to the dessert place? Answer: We'll, that's a tough one.. so I picked the first option. I wanted to visit Fan Fan doughnuts BUT wanted Thai food for lunch. I was set to go to my fave Thai restaurant in Greenpoint then travel to Fan Fan. BUT wanted to try a nearby new Thai spot that I haven't dined at. Dannee Thai won the lottery. First, their $11 Prix Fixe lunch menu served everyday from 12-4 is a great deal. You chose your noodle, then meat, then drink and finally appetizer. There are extra charges for certain drinks and apps. Tao took my order: Pad See- ew with chicken, House salad with peanut dressing and Thai iced tea. Thai iced tea was served first and then app and entree were served together. Here's how it tasted on my palate: Thai Iced tea: how it's prepared varies of course from each restaurant. Their tea was sweet but just a bit too milky. All in all, refreshing and delicious. Pad See-ew with chicken: piping hot, mounds of chicken and just enough spice. Perfect and scrumptious! House Salad: here is the real star of the meal! 2 huge slices of tofu, avocados, grape tomatoes, red onions and carrots. The peanut sauce was just heavenly, I could have had a glass of the sauce. This salad is out of this world! I don't know where they buy their tofu from but it ranks as one of the best I've tasted and not chewy. The ambience is chill and relaxing. Tao is terrific! We talked about travel, Thai food establishments and a lot more. He's so friendly and professional. Dannee is lucky to have him! Thus, when you are faced with life's perplexing questions:" Dessert" " Lunch"? Take 1 train, take 2 trains yada yada yada. Roll the dice, be brave, explore new neighborhoods and LIVE a little! Take G train to Classon Avenue, 3 minute walk to Dekalb Avenue, and BAM you're here! Major plus plus: Fan Fan Doughnuts is a 3 minute walk from Dannee Thai and across the street from G train. See, the best of both worlds do exist! Always in Brooklyn my friends!

Came here while in the area for a concert. Overall, the food was mediocre. I am a big Thai food lover and this restaurant lacked a lot of flavor in the entrees. Although the food wasn't the best, the service was great. Our waiter was extremely attentive and kind. Overall, ok experience but unfortunately don't think I'll be back.

This is one of my favorite delivery go-tos in Brooklyn. The entrees have ample portions, appetizers are very good, and it's budget friendly. Also, they deliver fast!

Let me start by saying do not let the humble and homely atmosphere of this restaurant fool you; this food comes with a PUNCH. My experience from start to finish was nothing short of incredible. My server was perfect and the food was equally excellent. My red curry with shrimp was packed full of flavor and had just a hint a of spice, (next time will be asking for more spice), the perfect dish for a rainy day. The alcoholic beverage I ordered was stunning. My server also filled the glass up to the top, not skimming me at all on this refreshing treat! The freshly peeled lychee this drink was garnished with tasted quite fresh and delicious as well. Now we move onto dessert; The fried banana cheesecake fritters here at Danee Thai are absolutely to die for! I was blown away by how well all the flavors on this plate from the chocolate sauce to the fried ice cream and cherries uplifted the main star of the dish. I live in this neighborhood and I will be returning weekly! PS: I would say the price is great especially when you consider each dish is large enough to be shared if desired.

The location is not the best but it's great for local take out Thai iced tea is standard and yummy! Papaya salad my fave. Green curry ( vegetarian) stand and yummy! 3.5 stars only because it's pretty standard nothing special but still delicious and great for quick take out. I've had phenomenal Thai somewhere else and this doesn't compare

I ordered takeout because they had a five dollar off special. I'd never had it before. It was shockingly, quite delicious. The crab Rangoon actually has crab in it. It was obviously handmade in the restaurant. The noodles were very spicy, which I had asked for and such fresh flavorful ingredients. I'm definitely going to be ordering from this place again and again. what a pleasant surprise !

Another good place for Thai in Crown Heights. Dannee Thai is one of my favorites in these parts. It has a menu of good stuff. Be sure to come at lunch. They have lots of money saving specials. It has specials at lunch. Penny pinchers should check these out. They have meat and vegetarian. It's $10 each. They have a lot to choose from and these come with a drink and sides. I had the Pad Thai for lunch. This came with tofu. Be sure to say you don't want eggs. They can make it vegan. She had the Pad See Ew. This came with tofu. Again be sure to say you don't want eggs. They generally can make many things here vegetarian. Along with the specials is an appetizer. The vegetarian ones include the fried tofu, house salad, and vegetable dumplings among others. Best time to come here is at lunch because you save a lot. It's a lot for what you pay. They have seriously good specials.

This restaurant is fantastic to order takeout from! They were timely, and the meal was delicious! I look forward to enjoying more future meals with Dannee Thai!

Takeout review: pad Thai is really good. I'm very particular but this was perfectly saucy, not too sweet. Lychee iced tea was good but kind of small for the price, but liked that it came with 2 fresh lychee. Fast delivery, good packaging.

I wish I could give this Thai restaurant a full five stars because it is so good. The problem I encountered is that the pad Thai is not up to grade when compared to the rest of the meal, which is odd for a Thai restaurant. A word of advice: arrive early to avoid waiting in line.

I hadn't ordered from this restaurant for YEARS because the food was not that great. I decided to give it another try. After all, maybe they changed their recipes or maybe they have new cooks. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai. A classic dish, right? It was so lacking in flavor. I've eaten in a b'zillion Thai restaurants in NYC and I've never experienced such bland cooking. Luckily, I keep my pantry stocked with things like fish sauce and spices. I had to work to doctor it up enough to eat it. People who are giving it 5 stars must have *never* eaten GREAT Thai food. I think the only reason this places stays in business is that there are absolutely no competing restaurants. Please if any restaurant people are reading this, open an *authentic* Thai restaurant in this neighborhood!!!! Edit in Response to owner: I ordered takeout about 2 weeks ago. I picked it up myself and walked one block home. Tamarind? The dish was devoid of any tamarind flavor. Luckily, I also have tamarind sauce at home. I *do* recognize how hard it is for family restaurants. But here's the thing: You have to see it from both sides. I'm not rich. So when I pay $19 for dinner, I expect to enjoy it and not feel like I've wasted my money -- and definitely not have to work in my own kitchen to try to improve the dish. And this is the only Thai restaurant near me. Otherwise I'd have to go all the way to Myrtle or Fulton.

The service here is always really amazing and the good really good portions. Truly, you never leave this place still hungry and every bite is so flavorful and packed with amazing seasoning.

We live on the same block and love Thai food. Discovering DANNEE was sheer pleasure. They have the best Thai food reasonable fresh yummy and generous servings. We are a regular for the Pro Fix Lunch menu

**For Delivery** When our favorite local Thai place closed down due to COVID, we sought for a new reliable place to deliver. We have been very happy with Dannee Thai. The dishes are affordably priced and very delicious. Most recently, we ordered some red coconut curry, pad see ew, and small dishes - the most surprising treat was the crab rangoon - not just a cream cheese wonton but actual pieces of crab within - very tasty! We also really like the calamari with sweet chili sauce and spring rolls. Very delicious and reliable Thai food! A creamy coconut curry is just what I need after a big snow storm!

What we tried? - tofu and vegetable drunken noodles - I loved the crispy tofu in mine. My Grenadian friend here did not find the noodles spicy enough and the extra sauce not help her either lmao. I on the other hand loved the noodles. mango sticky rice: I think this is one of the better dessert I've had in the area. It was perfectly sweet!! Delivery took a while but the price was great for that much food! Definitely a solid Thai spot .

Decent restaurant with a welcoming staff. Although not the cheapest, the food is nonetheless good considering the location. My meal was the green curry. Despite my preference for a richer sauce, this was quite good. Amazing spring rolls were also provided. Superb tasting; flavors weren't overpowering but weren't lacking either. Overall, if you're craving Thai food, this place is worth checking out and you'll leave fully satiated.

Ordered here through yelp and I'm thoroughly surprised! My go to at Thai spots is always spicy basil fried rice with shrimp. Food was piping hot upon arrival. Super fresh and fragrant. And only $1.40 to add the shrimp! (might be a glitch) very flavorful and spicy with jumbo shrimp. Could use a tad bit of salt, but that's nitpicking. Will definitely be ordering from here again!

Came here the other day for lunch with some co workers! I feel like at this point I'm now on the search for the best pad see-ew in New York! They had great lunch specials here which included a meal an app and a drink! Compared to other Thai places in the area this was by far the biggest appetizer included with a lunch special! My pad see-ew was great! Enough for left overs (even though I are the entire thing). We all ordered something different and there were no complaints. I will be back.

Probably the best Thai I've had in Brooklyn.

I ordered through Grubhub. I live a few blocks away and delivery was fast BUT the food was gross. I have order pad see ew (?) from a lot of places but theirs was really greasy and a small portion (which I guess doesn't matter since I threw it in the trash anyway). I ordered it with tofu. The tofu was flavorless. Even with the sauce, it was just a triangle of sponge. The spring rolls were ok. They only include 3 not 4 like many places do for the same price. What was really annoying was that I wrote in the delivery notes that the delivery person MUST have a mask as my building requires them. The guy showed up with nothing on, and worse had an attitude when I told him masks were required for my building. It is possible that he was not an English speaker and that's ok. But it is the restaurant's responsibility to make sure their delivery staff follows in instructions during a pandemic!

Everything is so sweet I sprout a cavity just now. Food is solid, generous portions and great value and service; cute decor if that matters. Tom Kha was heavy on the coconut milk and the green beans and chicken were kinda tough. The massAman curry was milky creamy sugar soup. Since there's a million Thai places around here, we would make the rounds before coming back. *Ok I had to edit from 3 stars to 2 because the Thai tea is basically milk and sugar. This place is not for anyone looking for authentic Asian food - we don't eat or cook anything with this much milk or sugar.

Best basil fried rice I've ever had in my life. Crab Rangoons were also amazing. The service was top notch and the prices were very modest considering the generous portions and robust flavor. Can't wait to come back!

I never write reviews but I felt compelled to call something great, great. Just ordered Lunch from here and I am impressed. I am so used to being underwhelmed ordering take out but not today. Firstly, the delivery person was very nice which set the stage. He then hands me a eco-friendly bag of take out which as I begin to go through notice 80% of the packaging is bio-degradable. Thats big. Then the food. Wow, I haven't had such an excellent and unique set of flavors in a long time. And a perfect portion for what you're paying. This place nailed it, I hope they don't change a thing because this will be my new lunch spot until further notice. Thanks for putting some love into your food, and attention to packaging.

Dannee NY BK Fort Greene 2pm Tuesday 15th November 2016 Three and Half Stars Update I ordered a seamless order from here in August and it was okay. I wanted to try the actual restaurant. They have an amazing Lunch Special: $10 for a choice of Appetizer, Entree, and Drink. Tiff had veggie dumplings, drunken noodles, and a Thai Ice Tea. I had Tom Yum, Pad Thai and a Thai Ice Tea. The four dumplings were fresh but tied too tightly and thick at the top. but had a decent flavor profile. The Soup was great on this rainy day. It heat, salt, and sour. The bowl was a good portion filled with a variety of veggies. The Noodles were okay. The Pad Thai was a light brown color, no heat, little citrus, and on the sweeter side. The beef tasted old/tough. The Drunken Noodle were better. The Service was good. The place had a great value but not the best food.

Ordered from here for delivery and it took OVER two hours! We tried calling to check on it and after trying to call over and over and getting a busy signal every time we gave up on the food and ordered from a different place... the minute we got our other food the food from Dannee arrived.

Some food from here can be quite good but do not get the prik king. It is nothing as described on their website or as I've had before. I believe it is supposed to be a reduced not saucy curry that is somewhat hot. This was none of those. It was a thin tangy sauce that had nothing to do with curry, along with their precut veggie mix they add to everything. The veggies didn't even match what they say should on their own website. Had I been dining in I would have sent it back and got a normal curry or something because this is not what I wanted or as described. The drunken noodles are OK. I prefer Thai holic overall. The sauces are just a bit more robust and flavorful. But this place is much closer for me and normally is OK.

Pad Thai was horrible. Completely lacked flavor and arrived with noodles mushy and in short pieces. Do not order pad Thai from here. You'll regret it, especially if you were craving it as badly as I was.

We had bad Chinese food from chinatown and went to hang out at our friend place in Brooklyn. Found this authentic thai foods they just made my day! Real spice real ingredients. The service was so nice and the place look real clean since we all have to be more conscious about the cleanliness. Loving it!

This Thai spot is just okay in my book. No frills, just simple Thai food. I've noticed it's more of a order out kind of place than sit down. Many delivery boys run in and out, and the phone is always off the hook. But the service is pretty good, so it doesn't take long to get your order. I typically order the red curry with tofu and a side of fried rice. The flavors are pretty on point. But nothing special. I almost ordered their Thai Ice tea until I watched them make it... it's super basic for the price. I'd skip out. If you're looking for super basic Thai food that delivers, this is a good spot. Not much else to it other than that.

Excellent Thai food destination in the neighborhood! They have a fantastically affordable lunch prix fixe and food that's not too sweet (which is what I dislike about most Thai joints in the US)

I would like to say that the only reason I didn't give the other two stars is because Even though the food is great. The service could really be better. I have gone in and no1 would come out to take my order or to simply say give me a sec. Also I do not know the young mans name but twice now he has given me attitude for no reason. If I come in I expect you to greet me and ask whats my name or order in a nice manner. I literally watched him walked down with one bag said hello (thats it) If I order through the app, which my order said to pick it up at a specific time shouldn't you ask what my order is? So seeing that You didnt ask me to be seated or anything dont expect me to assume the order your carrying wasn't mine. Come to find out after I tipped and rudely was asked my name/order.. The same bag he was walking with was my order! I literally was in there couple days ago and it was a little lady hosting and she was very nice greeted me and ask me if I would like to order. I am very patient person but I do not tolerate unprofessional customer service. He also had the nerve to say something smart like "we have so many orders how would I know" HOW ABOUT ASKING A QUESTION!

We've been ordering from Dannee long before quarantine but they have continued to be an excellent source for dinner and lunch throughout. We have a few Thai places much closer to us but we love the food here too much, it's well worth it. They're our go to. The Kratiem, Drunken Noodles and Fried Rice are our favorites. So good. If you're looking for great food and a usually very quick delivery, you can't go wrong here!

Now one of my future to go-Seamless ordering spots on those lazy weekends spent binge-watching Netflix. I just ordered from Dannee this past weekend for lunch - their $10 lunch specials are a great deal! It comes with an entree, an appetizer and a drink. I ordered the green curry + tom yum + seltzer combo ... and because I am fat I ALSO ordered the drunken noodles + calamari + seltzer. For $20 + tax + tip, this was a great deal! Delivery was also on time, it took about 45 minutes. Now a solid spot of mine when I'm craving Thai :P

Started out really good! The veggie dumplings were some of the best I've had and the grilled pork and sticky rice was excellent. The pork wasn't dried out and was still juicy. Enjoyed my Thai iced tea but I've had better. The main problem was the pad kee mao. The noodles were decent, veggies way to oily but the main problem was the container and lid were cracked in different areas and just broken.

Sooo today is Friday and while everyone is out partying I'm usually in the house watching Netflix and I need some good food . So I decided to order from here through grub hub. I was skeptical at first because I'm very particular about Thai food but I really liked their menu and their reviews . I got the shrimp drunken noodles , shrimp pad Thai , crab Rangoon and spring rolls. The shrimp drunken noodles were delicious and spicy and for 11 bucks they give you a lot of food . The pad Thai was kind of bland and I loved the crab Rangoon . It came with this sauce that was everything !!! The spring rolls were tasty as well . The delivery was quick my food was still steaming . All in all I would def order from here again .

I have ordered the Tom ka (coconut milk) soup with chicken many times for delivery and I absolutely love it! Went with a friend on Sunday. We had crab Rangoon, papaya salad, shrimp roll. All delicious! We had massaman curry and green curry. The portions are quite large. I had my green curry with chicken / tofu. Very yummy! My friend had the mass Ann. Could have been a little bit stronger in taste, but still delicious. I ordered the beef with green veggies (delivery). The pieces of beef were very "flat" and very tough. Could not eat it. Restaurant decor is very pretty, small space but really welcoming. Very nice staff! Highly recommend. Will definitely go back as it is a 10 mn walk from my apartment. Delivery is very fast! Great place in the neighborhood.

Extremely mediocre approximations of Thai dishes. We got roti, papaya salad, basil chicken. The chicken tasted as if it'd been bathed in used dishwater. Bad in an almost remarkable way.

Want some really yummy Thai food? Dannee Thai is it. Try the chicken curry puff with a tasty vinegar dipping sauce, the veggie spring rolls amd the mango salad are some great starters. Want to eat vegetarian? How about pad Thai with tofu, pad see yu with tofu or Thai basil and tofu? Yummy. Of course there is shrimp, chicken etc for your protein choices. But the food is good. Really good.

I live right next door to this amazing place and I was initially tentative to try it. I really like the food here. I have had all the curries and Pad Thai. They never disappoint. Always very good.

So, after a full 24 hours of trying to get a flight back to NYC, I was hungry and in the mood for some good ole Thai food. I took my search to Grub hub for delivery options and Yelp for reviews. I was not disappointed. I ordered the "drunken noodles" without the big flat noodles (I hate them). I noted a special request with my order and when I called they were right on it. I also ordered crab Rangoon and Basil fried rice - ALL delicious! Dannee is my new favorite Thai restaurant in the hood. DELISH!!

I had seen this restaurant on Yelp and other sites and noticed it had really good reviews. I was craving Thai food and decided to check out Dannee for dinner. I arrived at about 8:40 p.m. and the place was not too busy. The restaurant is small and can easily be missed from the street. The decor is minimalistic, yet stylish and modern. The menu is simple and everything looked amazing. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao w/ Beef, made spicy, and a Thai ice tea. The food had a spicy kick to it, and was delicious. It also came out in a reasonable time (10-12 minutes). The restaurant has a lunch special every day from 12-4 p.m. including weekends, where patrons can order a starter, main entree and a non-alcoholic beverage either soda or Thai ice tea for an unbelievable low price of $10. I also got a chance to talk to the owner. She was so nice and told me more about the restaurant. My waiter was really attentive and the experience as a whole was truly awesome!!! I highly recommend this restaurant to Thai food lovers, and anyone who wants to try something new in the Bed Stuy area.

Solid four stars-I'll tell you why. Quite possibly one of the best values per dollar spent in Bklyn. No doubt. The lunch specials are on point. No way can you leave feeling like you didn't get enough food. Many varieties and choices available to mix and match. Adding extras cost only a little bit more. Small, quiet place with great service and tasty fresh food. The highest praise that you can give any establishment is that I'd come back. And I absolutely will.

I didn't realize you guys were closing in 5 minutes when I placed a Yelp delivery or I never would've...needless to say your guy got here 20min earlier than the timeline Yelp gave so thank you whomever you are you angelic bastard! Ordered some food from here on Saturday night around 930 PM. The food came earlier than expected and PIPING hot ! It was very fresh, didn't make me feel sick in the AM, and was sooo flavorful and delicious. Will definitely order from here again!
