Danny Boy’s Pizza (North Olmsted, OH)

It was our first time visiting! Two of my boys split a Honey Bee pizza which was flavorful and unique. They loved it! My youngest son ordered the chicken tenders and they were huge! The breading was light and the chicken was juicy and tender. My husband and I both ordered the Woozie Boss and loved picking our own toppings. The free game shelf in the front is a great idea! We played Jenga and UNO while we waited on our food. We'll definitely be back!

Danny Boy's Pizza in North Olmsted is a total gem for anyone by Lorain Road, especially during the holidays with their "A Very Merry Danny Boys" pop-up turning the place into a festive wonderland. The Christmas decorations are spot-on—twinkling lights, cozy trees, and even fun inflatables that had my 7-year-old son Ares grinning ear-to-ear while we waited for our table after his Roblox session nearby. Our server was perfectly attentive, checking in just enough to keep things smooth without hovering, and the food flew out super quick; my buffalo chicken woogie, Ares' solo kids pizza, and Nana's spaghetti and meatballs hit the table in under 15 minutes, all hot and packed with flavor just like a Northeast Ohio classic should be.The buffalo chicken woogie was spicy perfection with that crispy crust and tangy sauce, Ares devoured his personal pizza without a crumb left, and the meatballs in Nana's spaghetti were huge, tender, and homemade-tasting. They nailed the family vibe too, with that Rat Pack Sinatra atmosphere mixed into the holiday cheer, making it ideal for a casual night out post-Browns game or grabbing bites before Crocker Park. Portions are generous, service is friendly without upsell pressure, and it's right in our backyard as a Rocky River original since '91 now thriving here. Highly recommend for anyone in North Olmsted craving reliable Italian comfort food this season!

Fantastic service! Smiling happy faces that truly show they like helping you. Who doesn't like a place loaded with memorabilia of movies and music with a slant toward Frank Sinatra. Food was great. Chicago style pizza as close to the teal thing as you can get in Ohio. Great place for family night or date night. Stop next time your in the neighborhood

My wife talked this place up a lot and we finally made it to trying the restaurant. Very chilled and oldies style vibe, with an excellent drink selection, and delicious food. Service was great! Our server was nice and helped give thoughts about menu items. Food and menu variety was fantastic! We will be back because we saw so many other food items on the menu we’d want to try. We had breadsticks, Mac and cheese, hot honey pizza, and a pesto pizza. I can’t remember the names but as you can see from the pictures, we couldn’t wait to try them. The breadsticks are so soft and unique compared to other restaurants. Highly recommend for anybody looking for good Italian food.

Danny Boys is one of our favorite restaurants!! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is inviting and fun and the service is excellent!! Highly recommend Danny Boys for a great dining experience! Joanne was attentive, friendly and such a joy!

My daughter and I had a nice, quiet lunch. I grew up in a heavily populated Italian American area. So many nonnas and their homemade sauces… it’s difficult to find pizza joints that don’t taste like they use mass produced sauces. This definitely tasted like some Italian grandma’s recipe sauce, so take that as an endorsement!

Danny Boy's has always been my favorite pizza place. However, this order (Saturday night) will have me re-thinking my selection. I ordered a GF pizza to go, a side meatball, and "Bistro Chicken Salad". I'm doing a lot of holiday prep this weekend so I ordered for last night (pizza) and today's lunch (salad). The order came out at 55 minutes after ordering, but I was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. So I spent 25 minutes waiting in the very crowded restaurant for my order. The pizza was fine (a little cold by the time I got home), the meatball was good, too. However, when I opened my salad today I was surprised to find NO chicken. The price was reasonable for a chicken breast on a nice salad, but not for the greens, cheese, fruit, and nuts alone. I know you were all busy, but please - keep the quality - I don't mind waiting when I can see you're slammed, but you failed me on this order. (Ticket #86 placed at 4:54 PM on Dec. 6th.)

We love to go to Danny Boys and get great pizza. Tonight was great food as always. Our servers were very friendly and fun to talk to. One server took pictures of us with the Danny Boys sign and with the festive Christmas lights. The music is always good, also. It is always a fun atmosphere and it was especially festive tonight with all the Christmas lights up.

Service is GREAT. Everyone is genuinely friendly and helpful no matter what time of day or what day I have visited. The food is delicious. Nice portions, fresh tasting ingredients, nice quality marinara sauce, great side items as well. Not your one dollar sign restaurant. More like two dollar signs, but it IS worth the few extra bucks.

Had a personal cheese pizza with a bunch of add ons and the funnel cake fries. Pizza was super yummy and the perfect size for one person. I used the online ordering system and it was ready when I got there and on time. I was pleasantly surprised how big and nice the inside was so I'll be happy to come back and enjoy my dinner at the bar.

The deep dish pizza is nothing more than a big crust folded over and the pizza is no thicker than any other pizza including their own. With the crust folded over that was that much less area for the toppings. The center pizza was just a normal pizza that did taste good.

This is what I call GOOD PIZZA! It was the best pizza I've had so far out here in OH. I highly recommend this place. I don't even know what else to write because all I will do is talk great about it. If you're thinking about it, just get it.

We did delivery. Delivery happened before estimated. Pizzas were so very hot and fresh out of the oven We will try some other pizza choices as many looked interesting and delicious!

Me and a group of friends are there last week. It was super loud in there, and the waiter got a few of our orders incorrect, probably due to the fact he didn't hear us correctly. We barely could hear each other having conversation.

I've officially had the best pizza in LA and it was right here in DTLA the whole time. How I am just coming to find out about Danny Boys is baffling! I've been trying pizza from different places for a while and no one has been able to blow me away! But Danny boys just ... chefs fucking kiss!!! Absolutely loved it and will be back! I had a slice of the pepperoni and a slice of cheese. 10s across the board!!!!

I ordered the chicken Parmesan and the house salad and soup everything is always fresh and tastes great. Always prompt service. No complaints

Very fun place. Ambiance was clean and comfortable, with Italian pop culture all around. Took my wife & kids while visiting Olmsted Falls and the food was great. I had the deep dish, while my wife with celiac had a bunless burger with salad. We all played trivia from our table and my son even won a round. Our server couldn't have been nicer. She was genuinely nice and attentive. Wish we had a place like this back home because we'd be regulars.

I'd love to discuss the food but I never got to eat. We went on a Thursday night and were pleased to see many open tables. After a surprisingly long 10 minutes we were seated. Unfortunately we sat patiently for another 25 minutes without anyone stopping to even offer us water. At least 4 employees walked by and made eye contact but not one was trained in customer service. We finally asked the hostess if we needed to order at the bar or if it was self service and we thought she was going to get someone but.. after another wait we left. It's a shame that a good staple in the city provides such bad training and service.

Danny Boys just gets better and better! My husband had the chicken salad. It has lettuce, broccoli, bacon, spinach, lettuce and, of course, cheese. And comes with a generous helping of their awesome bread. His only complaint was that you shouldn't have to use a knife to cut up the lettuce. Many pieces were large. I had the peppers and sausage which comes with seasoned pita. OMG. This dish is on the appetizer menu. Don't miss it. The different peppers (sweet and banana) are perfect, the sausage and sauce add a great zing and the cheese just pulls everything together!

The food is amazing!! And this place has the greatest ambiance as you walk in, so festive, the staff is energetic, knowledgeable and amazing!!

This location of Danny's allows dine-in customers. You won't see many people sitting outside eating though. Tried their pizza on the first day of Cleveland's Pizza Week that they opened for. The Danny's located at downtown Cleveland didn't pick up phone calls when we tried calling, so we ended up going on an extra drive to this location. My companion and I had the Honey Bee Pizza. The ten inch size is perfect for allowing two people to be satiated. The pizza itself was great. A generous amount of Ricotta cheese was on top of the pizza. I wish they put more of the honey drizzle that was the main interesting characteristic on the pizza though. Parking is plentiful. There's a good chance that you can find parking in front of Danny's itself.

Excellent pizza, huge salads, and fabulous appetizers. We enjoy the zucchini fries, brussel sprouts, and the knotted garlic bread to start . . . Ohh, and meatball and sauce is excellent as well! We have difficulties in deciding which pizza to enjoy and have not tried their Chicago style pizza yet. The fold over with sausage, pepperoni, and onions is my favorite, while others enjoy the honey-bee pizza. For the first time we've been there, they had a musician playing mostly soft rock hits. It added to already fun and interesting environment. When leaving, we saw other musicians scheduled through April on Thursday nights. Look forward to returning.

The food is amazing ! Let's start there. They add a 3.5% credit card fee to you bill when they present it to you. You have to ask them to remove it if paying cash. The service is horrendous. We went to the Sandusky location on a Saturday around 6:00. So, understandably there was a wait. Also, there was a large party having a birthday party. I understand that. But, once our server took our order, we didn't see her until we were finished eating. Another employee brought our food to the table. We were planning to order a pizza to go when the server checked back with us but, we literally never saw her. When she came to see us at the end of the meal, we told her we were all set and then waited 10 minutes for her to bring out our checks and another 10 minutes for her to come back and take our payment and another 10 to get our change. Seriously, it took us 30 mins to get out of there. Maybe it took so long because she had to recalculate our bill to remove the service charge which we didn't have to pay because we used cash. Here's an idea, factor in the cost of doing business (fixed costs, food, labor, to go boxes, credit card fees, etc) and price your food accordingly instead of dropping an imaginary 3.5% fee on the bill! I love the food, it really is amazing. I think I'll stick to carry out going forward.

Great place to dine with good food and service. Owners have dropped carrying Modelo/Corona for some unknown reason. These are the top selling beers in the country now. This keeps me from rating 5 stars.

Came and I a very busy Friday night but was seated quickly. Waitress was very friendly and fast! We had the Social Clevelander pizza and onion rings and that pizza was perhaps the best we've had!! The atmosphere is awesome! We will be back!!!

We are from out of town and this was our second time here. Both visits "amazing" Service and atmosphere just right. Next time we are in town we will be stopping again.

I came in for a quick dinner one evening - before a drive to Toledo. #TeamMCPc was having it's Cancer fundraiser. So I came by to participate. Sat at the bar and ordered a bowl of the White Chicken Chili. I asked for hot sauce - something besides Tabasco sauce. They have a house made hot wing sauce - the bartender brought me some of that! Outstanding! Mouth watering! I used most of it in the soup! I could take shots of that - it was so good! And of course the White Chicken Chili was tasty - even more so with that amazing, spicy sauce! #DannyBoysPizza

Other than a minor mixup with beverages, our dinners were excellent, the service was prompt and friendly. I will go again and eat Italian (as I should have).

Heard great things about the Ranchero pizza, so wanted to try it out for myself. We placed an order online, and received nothing that we ordered. When requested assistance from the manager to correct the error. She was rude, condescending, and blamed the error on us. The only way to receive what was originally ordered was to reorder, pay, and wait. Safe to say I will never give this place a second thought.

Come on, if you don't think Danny Boys has the best pizza in Cleveland, you are just wrong. Their sauce has a richness that reminds me so much of the sauce I grew up on, it's crazy. The one my mom would make was tomato paste, red wine, herbs and spices. Also they have creative pies that might become your new favorite. The Nashville is my husband's (pickles and all) and I like a traditional pep mush, but sometimes slide forwards the honey bee. I mean, honey and ricotta... don't even get me started on the breadsticks. They are feather light pillows of the best bread stick ever

This is the first time I have been to this place and I was impressed! We got sat very quickly and the service was great. They have great options in their menu- pizzas, pastas, calzones and salads, etc! I went with my family and we each got the house salad and we split 2 small pizzas! They offer a variety of different sizes and styles of pizza!!! (Yes please!) We got the original margarita pizza and the "social" clevelander pizza. SO GOOD :) They also have a draft list &plenty of TVs to watch games. I am so happy this place is in my hometown. Planning on coming back!

We've always wanted to try Danny Boy's, but it was always so crowded. We couldn't get in. So now we know why. We called for delivery, wow the Italian Margarita Pizza and the Brussels sprouts were amazing. Have enough pizza for another meal for the 2 of us. I didn't want to finish it all at one time , it's so good. Delivery was prompt and friendly. A definite repeat is in store.

Absolutely overpriced!!! The pizza is nothing but dough and usually Update: I came back twice, giving you a fair chance! The pirogies were swimming in a pool of oil, not good. That was chance # 1. The pesto angel hair pasta with salmon was overloaded with sauce, even the salmon was soaked in that pesto sauce. I ate only a few bites, told the manager, she made no effort to give me at least a discount, only offered to make it again. It didn't look anything like the photo on the menu. That was chance # 2. I really try to like your food, but nope, it doesn't work.

Getting better. Food overall was good. Shrimp are still weird, same as last time. Tastes like precooked shrimp are being cooked again. Table was very wobbly, fixed with pack of cards that were on the table. Ok. Only major gripe was that I immediately ordered a pizza for my young son and asked that it come out as soon as it was ready, while the rest of us took our time to decide and order. All the food came out together, including his pizza. We'll be back.

I highly doubt that the Covid disclaimer that pops up before you get a chance to leave a review has anything to do with the quality of food. I realize that's something that Yelp most likely has pop up on all reviews. I digress. We ordered a medium pizza which was on the smallish side compared to other pizza places. The pizza was very greasy. And the sweet potato fries were equally as greasy. None of it was appetizing. And I felt bad for the Door Dash person that Danny Boys did not make sure that all items were included with the order. They had to send another Door Dash driver to deliver the 2 liter of pop that was not included. Paid for but not included in delivery. Experience was not the greatest and the food was not appetizing. We wanted to like it... first time ordering from them and looks like the last time.

First time at the North Olmsted location & left a happy customer! Server was very friendly & attentive. Played some cards that were provided at the table until our food came, which was cool - better than staring at our phones! Food came out hot & tasty. I ordered the Woogie Boss with the rib rub tots. We will be back!!

The food is great. But Although they ask for a Contact Phone Number for your delivery order.. The delivery driver(s) did NOT call the number to locate me. This is what happened tonight after making a delivery order at 5:46 PM. I didn't even find out they gave up on my delivery until I called at approximately a 1.5 hours later; nevertheless receive some horrifying attitude from the girl who took my order and then put on the manager(who said she is also the Owner). The Owner/manager began with cutting me off and instantly assuming I'm at fault. Then proceeded to imply I was lying to them about not being called. Pushed to try and redeliver the cold food that's been waiting. And took no responsibility for what happened! To give further details; I am staying at a hotel. In an attempt to elude fault, they pushed that the Front Desk called my room. All in all; I couldve been in any other part of the hotel. In this case I went outside for a 5 min to smoke a cigarette. I was staring at my phone for the whole 1.5 hours waiting for them to call; they never did. I added 3 more Stars because the manager/owner insisted to make my food again and redeliver it all over again. Which they did and it was timely (8:10pm. Took 30minutes) THE FOOD IS GREAT BTW. Plus they threw in some delicious bread sticks for the inconvenience For the record. This is the first time in my life I have ever NOT gotten a phone call to the number I provided for delivery or even a voicemail saying we could not deliver.

I only get Danny Boys a few times a year. It is a treat for me to get the woogie boss. Well on 7/9 around 8pm I phoned in an order for pick up. Well I ordered my favorite a pepperoni mushroom woogie boss. To my dismay they woogie was the worst one I have ever gotten from there. There was no mozzarella or ricotta cheese in it as well as only about 4 pepperoni and 4 mushrooms. I was so upset with it. I don't know if I could ever order one again.

I do LOVE the Chicago Pizza! Yes Anne R, there IS A THIN CRUST option, if only she had READ the menu. Since my husband is a thin crust guy, we go back and forth. If you like thin crust, don't order the Chicago Style. Sit at the bar and it's a great way to meet people and have a chat. Large and fresh salads served with their delicious roll! Thursday is 1/2 price bottled wine night, so that's a huge PLUS. Pricing is fair as there is always enough to take home for lunch!

Tried the pizza today for the first time and I couldn't be more impressed, everything from the chicken chili to the breadsticks was seasoned well. I come from a family of chefs so appreciate great flavors.

The product (pizza) was very good. But, the phone order for carry-out went horribly wrong. My wife placed the initial order and I called back to clarify that I wanted the BBQ Chicken Pie that was priced at $9.99. I was asked if I wanted the small, six cut and I again responded that I wanted the size that was priced at $9.99. Lady responded yes it is the small, six cut. When I arrived, my pie was priced at $13.99. I must say that is an extremely effective method of up sales. But, it is not what the customer wanted or requested. Hence, this poor review. A little more training might be necessary for phone personnel to help the customer accurately complete their orders. I feel like I was taken for an additional $4.00. I would think that if a customer made a second call to check the accuracy of the order that an employee might want to be certain of the information they are providing or price they are quoting. Thanks for your follow-up. It is great to see that owners are looking at their guests reviews and comments. I was definitely frustrated to say the least. My second call to clarify the order is what put me over the edge. Freebies are not necessary. Your concern and follow-up is what I was looking for. Changing two stars* to a four stars* because of this

I am so disappointed by the server today. She was a "know it all" personality and failed at service. We have been coming to Danny Boys regularly and never experienced this ever before...she argued about the appetizer recipe which was differently made this time. When we asked for a to go order, she immediately said you were out of rolls! At 4 in the afternoon..come on. We had to push her to ask the kitchen if we could get a to go order.

I ordered pizza, boneless wings and funnel cake fries! Highly recommend and everything was hot and fresh.

We had a great pizza the other night during a break at the recording studuo, might actully we the best oizza on the westside.

This is such a good place to go for dinner or lunch. All their food is really good not just the pizza. They don't break the bank either, very reasonable which means we can go more often. Service is good too, that's a plus

I had a wonderful dinner. This restaurant is more than a pizza shop. There were smiling servers, happy people, and great looking food everywhere. This place is a good getaway from the chain restaurants. There is even weekly entertainment. I will be back soon with my family.

First time and Danny boy's. Was in the mood for local pizza, was not disappointed. Noe took great care of us. Had the Chicago pizza it was very good. We definitely will return to try the pasta. Great mix of music to enjoy a glass of wine, beer or cocktails.

I have gone to this restaurants for years (both this location and others), but my experience this past Friday with a take out order makes me question whether I ever will go back. I placed the order with UberEats, but about 5 minutes later I received an email telling me it was cancelled. No explanation for the cancellation was given. What's worse, I was told in the email that because the restaurant had started my order, I would still be charged the full price. I submitted an online inquiry with UberEats, and also called Danny Boys. When I called, I was told that my order was cancelled because of flooding on a nearby road -- bear in mind, there are a number of other routes to my place from the restaurant. I was also told that Danny Boys could not refund my money, and that I'd need to contact UberEats to do so. They gave me a number to call UberEats, but when I called it, there was just a voice recording stating that telephone customer service was suspended. I also got an email from Uber saying that I needed to dispute the charge with the restaurant and they could not help. So THEN, I called Danny Boys back again and told them what happened with UberEats. The woman I spoke with did not apologize at all for the inconvenience or promise any refund. She just told me that I'd need to figure things out with Uber and that they were very busy so she did not have time to look into the issue. Apparently, she/this restaurant saw no problem with keeping almost $40 for food they did not deliver, which is basically stealing. I don't care what the arrangement is between Danny Boys and Uber -- they accepted an order and then chose to cancel it, even if they cannot refund my credit card then they should offer to write a check or pay cash to reimburse a customer for food that was never made. I told her that Danny Boys needed to take responsibility for this and address the issue because I should not be charged for these meals. She took my name and phone number and said that she would call me back. No one ever did.

Ok so I needed to go see what the hype was about this place. The food is amazing! The price is why it got 4 stars. Just a bit too much to be honest. So to get to the food. We got a pizza and I got a chicken California sammich. Holy cow was that chicken and food amazing! The pizza was just the right amount of cheese sauce and toppings. The dough wasn't soggy and didn't flop over like some do. The sammich was so good. It had guacamole on it. I didn't get to taste much of the guacamole because the person that ordered for me didn't tell them no lettuce so I had to scrape it off. The chicken wasn't tough and was so moist. We did a to go order which was nice and convenient. I did see the place was clean, enough staff to take care of everyone and the table I sat at to wait was clean and not sticky. Also fluffy people friendly for those that are looking for places to go. Music was nice and not too loud to where you can't have a nice conversation with whom your with. Overall it was a nice experience. I wouldn't mind going back. But I definitely wouldn't go back as a regular because of the prices. EDIT: what u see pictured is what was ordered! Stopped in when my son was at a practice. I had a real good special pizza which had sausage, pepperoni, jalapeños, pizza chees and ricotta with a honey drizzle. It was great. Will be back

I've been going to Danny Boy's since I was a kid when I lived in Rocky River. They have the best pizza and the wings are amazing as well. The service is very welcoming. Family friendly and nice to see people enjoying time together and eating. I'm glad it came to North Olmsted my childhood is my adulthood now!

Myself and wife have been here a couple of times recently, both times the service has been spot on. I have never seen a team of servers , mgmt and all staff, work together as well as these amazing people have demonstrated. Each server and mgmt constantly havw each others back(you scratch my back, I scratch yours). If staff was busy then mgmt stepped up and waited on tables, the bar keep cam out twice, once to deliver our drinks and to make sure that their selection was satisfying for my taste(mixers choice), which happened to be an Old Fashion with bourbon. Truly an amazing staff and mgmt team has been carefully hand picked

Danny boys was amazing today. I got the ranchero buffalo pizza and it was great! My server Sydney was the absolute best and accommodated all of my tables needs. couldn't have had a better experience
