Hungry? Thirsty? Danny’s had it all. From the best fries in town to awesome daily food specials (try the surf n turf!!!) you can definitely find something to satiate your need!! Plus the bartenders are absolute gems <3

I don’t like to throw out 5-stars all willie-nilly but we had a worthy experience today. I went in with a couple coworkers for a late lunch, the first time for each of us to try this mid-cities neighborhood pub. Our server Sylvia was dynamite! The fish and chips were damn good as well, and at $8 on Friday special it’s hard to beat. Smoking is allowed indoors which is wild for us Fort Worthians but it only added to the excellent atmosphere. Excellent batter on the cod although a tad overcooked. Waffle fries instead of true English chips. The slaw was solid but the tarter sauce really stole the show. We’ll return next week! 🍻 UPDATE: Stopped in today and had another great experience. Sylvia's bar was full but she had it completely handled. The waffle fries have been changed to a more traditional-esqe English-style chip which is a big improvement. UPDATE (11/15/2024): These guys killed it again. Sam the bartender was spot on and a pro server. Randy fried up a PERFECT filet. 👍👍

This little gem of a place has been around for a number of years and I've noticed it but never really looked at it because I thought it was just a pub / bar. That's not the case, this place is hiding a lovely kitchen of assorted Irish delights. They do allow kids before a certain time but be aware they are a smoking facility but it does include an outside seating area. The food was surprisingly great with generous portions filled with great flavors. It wasn't too loud so my wife, kids and I were able to have a nice conversation while having dinner and appetizers. The server we had was very polite and engaging while we were there and very prompt with everything. Or drinks didn't go dry and our food came out piping hot. Will definitely suggest it to everyone and will need to go again myself.

A local hidden gem. Excellent food 😋 Everything was fresh and very tasty. Fish and chips were very authentic flavors. The fish was thick, white, and cooked to perfection. Clam chowder was thick creamy with a lot of clams.classic. Buffalo chicken wrap was excellent, with generous pieces of chicken and very fresh and crunchy lettuce. The wrap was toasted. Everything was priced very reasonable. They have a large selection of spirits and beers . Our waiter/bar tender was very nice and attentive. We will definitely come back to try other items from the menu. Don't miss this place! Highly recommended 👌

Amazing and attentive bartenders and good food.

New favorite place!!! Perfect local pub with a great atmosphere and even better food! Big portions, very delicious. The food wasn't overseasoned, or dry in any capacity. I highly recommend the fish and chips. The flavor pairs really well with Guinness. The pour was excellent, the service impeccable. Very human touch, love it!

I would have given five stars except it was very Smokey because there are a lot of people who go there and smoke cigarettes. I love everything else about Danny's. Just know when you go home your hair and clothes are going to smell like cigarette smoke

Great hole in the wall - they make the BEST corned beef and cabbage! Hands down. When I go here it kinda gives you "Cheers" vibes. Oh, and drinks are well priced.

We've been looking for a nice local place to call OUR local hangout with food above your basic bar fare. I think we found it! Nice ambience, not loud to interfere with conversation. None of the annoying party frat/sorority and loud Pick-Me meat market crowds. More than the basic Coors, Bud Light, Miller beer choices. And good inhouse made foods instead of thawed meat patties, wings, cheese fries from an ordinary bar that I could just make myself at half the cost. Yes they allow smoking however, many other places do not. If you don't like smoke, go somewhere else. Don't come here and complain about it. Yes, we left happy and full yet, looking forward to going back to try the other cocktails and foods.

My first impression of this place is "Damn the smell!". I am not a smoker, so I tend to avoid places that allow smoking indoors. I came in with my friends during the storm and the pub was still pretty busy. Turns out there is trivia on Thursdays. We stayed for trivia, lost horribly but had a great time. Michelle was the server on deck this evening and she was fast and got our orders correct! We ordered Mac and cheese, the sheppies(3 pieces), and the seafood basket. The Mac and cheese was a very large meal. It had white cheese and looked really tasty. The sheppies were tasty, mash potatoes,cheese, gravy, and meat. As for the seafood basket, the fish and shrimp sizes were nice, I felt the fish was a little fishy, the fries were meh, the shrimp were tasty. The tartar sauce was unique as it had dill in it.

As an ex-pat Brit, I drive there from Watauga for the the good atmosphere and the British food choices. The pub-like friendly service rounds it off nicely.

It may seem weird to give a little pub on the corner a 5, but we have been here three times now and enjoyed all we ate. The steak Mac and cheese may not look pretty, but every part of it tastes amazing. The potatoes skins are above and beyond the normal. My person favorite is the fish and chips of course. They even will toss it in sauce. I highly recommend the garlic Parmesan. We also once went for our first trivia night and had a great time as well. The service is a tad slow, but with our current world I have no real qualms about it. The place can be loud, it's a pub! And they do allow smoking so be prepared. Go get some fish!

Absolutely LOVE come here, I was looking for something new for my husband for his birthday. We completely enjoyed the atmosphere the staff was friendly. It was clean but it is a smoking establishment so if you don't like smoke this isn't the place for you. The food was delicious I got Mac and Cheese with steak strips which is something I wouldn't normally order but the picture it look delicious an it was. My husband loved his food also (I can't remember what he ordered I think it was seafood. We will definitely be going back I have to try their cottage pie (shepherd pie).

One of my top restaurant experiences! I love black and tans and half and half so the first experience was just a stop for drinks. But the food was delicious and perfectly made. It was always crowded and a bit of a wait but even the bar seating with my daughter was a good experience. It's a very popular place so get there early. Irish Breakfast and scotch bonnets are a must try.

This is smoking establishment so you definitely have to be ok with that, but the food and atmosphere was great! I love seeing the names of regulars on the pub chairs.

Not a smoker - overpowering stench of smoke. Have to admit - we walked in, tried to acclimate, walked back out. Air quality a deal breaker.

Since the last review, we have continued to patronize Danny's bringing the service dog with us. We have had no more issues with the dog. Even with the same waiter our dog has been welcome. Thanks Danny's.

Wish I could give 0 stars. The worst bar I have ever been too. Came on st pattys day with friends and they refused to serve anyone more than 2 drinks when we were completely sober. Bar tenders were smoking cigs and making terrible drinks and did not care about the customers at all.

Replace the grumpy male bartenders and hire back the 2 hot bartenders from a few years ago..I could get a drink anywhere in Bedford so at least act like you appreciate me coming in. Also, if you spend more than 10 minutes inside this bar, even if nobody is smoking, you will leave with the scent of cigarette smoke on your skin and clothes. This place has potential, but I get the impression that the owner just wants to have her own version of Cheers, whether it makes good money or not. I mean, it would be cool to own your own place to hang out every day.

Danny's is a unique place, I will give it that. Tucked away, you almost miss it. Anyone who has read my reviews know that I often use Showdown as a descriptor of a place that is dive-y, yet charming. The kind of place where the smoke smell is tolerable. Here, not so much. I walked in (in my mask) and the place was POPPIN. Like an early Friday night - but on a Wednesday at 5:30. It was like the record skipped. Everyone looked, and some laughed. The bar was packed, with TONS of rowdy (and raunchy) conversation. That was overshadowed by a cigarette smoke smell so strong I was sure that the air freshener had to be "pack of Marlboro" scent. As I waited for my food, I noticed the owner sitting in a single chair in the middle of the dining room smoking cigarettes with a mask in her hand. No one on the staff had one (including the cooks) and the young lady that helped me (seemingly reluctantly) lit a cigarette in the middle of the dining room. I didn't react o that, or the poor service, but she treated me with hostility, but she was also one of the people looking at me crazy with my mask. (Once again - masks are not a political indicator, people). With that - the food was wonderful. I had my doubts, even before I walked in, but it was delicious. My Yelp friend Bradley already knows - FISH AND CHIPS! It was that thick beer batter, crispy but juicy on the inside. It was fresh and served steaming hot. Certainly in my top 10 that I have had. The fries were great too. They had a seasoning that was something else. I can tell, this place is jumping with a mixed crowd, and would be a fun night spot post-pandemic (NOT RIGHT NOW!), but that cigarette smoke is just overwhelming. Additionally, as I walked out a group of guys that were very much "regulars" were kind of heckling, so I am not sure about the overall vibe. I don't know that I will return, but if I do, it will be for a TO-GO order, and I will not wear anything I'm not prepared to have soaked in that cigarette smoke smell. Not even a mask.

DO NOT GO HERE. The food is 1 star at best, and if you drink too much, they call the police so your arrested as soon as you walk out!!

The food was excellent! OMG the management is horrible. If the owner is a drunken old woman, she should probably stay home. The bar was full of drunks, as it should be. I've never been to Ireland but if it's full of drunken a-holes that chain smoke and eat great food, this place is 110% authentic.

My best friend & I went here one day after a long week at work. She is a smoker. I am not. She loved it cause she could smoke, that was my minus 1 star, smelled like an old Smokey dive bar. I must say though they make a mean Bloody Mary & their crab cakes & Mac & cheese are the best we had both had in a really long time. For a bar atmosphere w/great service, but not bar food check this place out!

Excellent service and delicious food! We haven't been here in years (moved) and it was like walking into your best friends home! We ordered the fried fish, Shepis, and the fabulous bowl of mac & cheese! All were delicious! It's clean and there's space outside to sit on such a lovely day. Play some darts have some fun it's a great place to go!

If you don't like smoke and grumpy bartenders don't go here. Also, if you like the truth to be told about you, stay away. If the employees don't like you, they will find a way to get rid of you even if they have to lie, which is one of their specialties.

Stopped in there today and it was amazing! Emerald the bartender was amazing food was great and drinks too. Will be back soon, if your looking for a great place to relax and have a drink and good food this is it.

I did not know there were any restaurants left that allowed smoking. My husband, a friend and her husband, got a coupon for Danny's Celtic Pub and the British dishes they advertised sounded wonderful. We found it without any trouble, and they have what I would call a double entry. These are common up north where you have messy snow winters & want a place out of the storm to stamp your feet and keep the cold wind from getting in to the pub where it could quick chill anyone sitting near the door. Long story short, that was as far as we got. I felt like I had walked into, I don't know what any more. Shelly squinted her eyes and waved the air with her hand and asked what took all the oxygen. I opened the door to the Pub and it was worse. You could see a cloud from the ceiling down to about people's shoulders. Shelly's husband remarked, we're not going in there. Back in the parking lot Shell and myself agreed that just that small entry, our hair smelled of cigarette smoke. Is this really allowed today?

I've been here many times and typically visit when they host team trivia. The food is mediocre at best and if you dont care for smoke, dont go. This is definitely a smoking bar and hard to be there when you're not a smoker. I will say the service (servers) are fabulous. The one positive thing. They have had issues with food quality and the owner seemed to shrug it off. Food for thought...

First time goin in this place and I only stopped in cause I was waitin to be somewhere else. So I decided to go in and have a beer while I wait. Guinness of course! I like the place, it's a neighborhood Irish/Celtic Pub with a lot of what seems to me to be regulars. I didn't try any food but I think I will be goin back to try the food next time I'm back down that way.

This pub is everything a pub should be. It's got a definite local "Cheers bar" feel with old wooden bar stools, classic laminated wooden tables and bar, plenty of regulars, a full menu filled with delicious Irish/UK dishes and beer. It's also more than your regular bar, with a giant projector TV to watch all the sports games, a perfect patio to bring your dog to and they have a Galaga arcade machine in the corner.. which... is my game and I challenge you to beat my score. Also, in true old pub form, this is a SMOKING bar. When I say smoking... you really need to brush your teeth after coming here, it is nearly unbearable if you are not a chain smoker yourself. I myself, do not smoke, but I find the atmosphere endearing, and a true experience and I accept all people's habits/vices. You also get used to it after a while. Service can sometimes be slow if you aren't sitting at the bar and they are understaffed, but everyone is really helpful and they've got great specials. I'm glad you exist, Danny's. Definitely would not recommend this place if you have small children, even though they are open for lunch/during the day. Definitely would recommend this place if you like to have a good time, appreciate the timeless aspects of a good Irish pub and can handle people smoking around you.

The first time we went in we felt right at home. The bar staff and the patrons were welcoming & we finally found a neighborhood pub that fast became our favorite! The food is excellent! The Mac & Cheese is on point, the Scotch eggs are devine, burgers & chicken tenders are outstanding, and the fish and chips...drool. We love that it is a smoking bar with an outdoor space, but mostly we love it because it has become our home pub in just a year!

Found Danny's Celtic Pub by accident while picking up a cake at Moonlight Bakery. Brought our small dog and sat on the patio. We were the only people on the patio but Joe came out with menus had recommendations for drinks. Jane order the Fish & Chips and I had the Seafood Basket to go with the Jameson Green Tea's. Danny's has excellent pub food and great drinks, everything was reasonably priced and the service Joe provided was very good. We will be back.

It's been 4 years since my last review, so ] thought I'd update, especially after having been away at college for a few years and Houston for a year. My rating still stands, mainly because it has the same cheers feel to it and offers grand Irish cuisine. My favorite meals to have here are the Shepherd's Pie, Bangers Mash, and Fish and Chips. Pair Fish and Chips with Harp lager. The bartenders are still friendly and sociable, and they look out for their patrons as well. Now, this place doesn't do karaoke anymore, but they do trivia on Tuesdays and Thursdays; and of course that is amazing fun. I never win, but hey, the fun is in playing. The regulars here are fun to talk to, usually friendly and sociable. My first night back in town, and a regular bought me a drink. The wifi is good as well, which lets me get some work done if need be. Honestly, you can't go wrong here. Friendly atmosphere, good food, good drinks; honestly it's only one of the two bars I go to now and then.

Perfect pub with outdoor patio accomodating both smokers and non-smokers. Corned beef and cabbage on Wednesdays is great and drinks are VERY reasonable.

Place is amazing. The main bar tender is emerald. She is wonderful and she is very attentive to everybody she's always very well dressed sweet and awesome to everybody. I love her she is so respectful to all the older people that come in here. I love her.

I loved the potato skins! Best ever! Seems like a fun place. Do you have to be able to tolerate the smell of cigarette smoke but it was very nice and seem to attract a lot of regulars

I don't know how this place is with a REAL bartender, but when I came (3pm Saturday afternoon 6/20/20) with John the bartender, it was horrible. This dude seriously got overwhelmed with a 1/2 full bar and about 4 tables in the seating area. And don't try to have a conversation while he's sitting there with his arms crossed, he'll just look at you like he hates life and hates his job. Definitely the wrong industry for that dude.

One our favorite places to kick back. Friendly staff and friendlier patrons. Truly a real life "Cheers" where everybody knows your name. Highly recommend when you want a nice casual atmosphere. Good food and reasonably priced cocktails.

I came to Danny's Celtic Pub with a few friends on a Thursday night, and it was pretty poppin' inside! It's a simple bar in a simple, slowly burgeoning spot in Bedford (Twisted Root just opened in the same shopping center). I'm excited to see successful businesses popping up at the intersection of Harwood Road and Central Drive. It's never been the most up-to-date or exciting area, but new spots like Danny's Celtic Pub definitely brighten it up and are drawing much needed attention. Danny's is owned and managed by a husband and wife team who wanted to bring a little Irish authenticity and pride to the area. You'll find a full menu with goodies like fish n' chips, shepherd's pie, bangers n' mash, and scottish eggs, as well as hotdogs, burgers, salads, appetizers, and side dishes galore. Some creatives stand out, like the Irish nachos and mac-n-cheese with fajita meat. It's seriously a huge food menu, and it's all served until 10. Now, the drink menu isn't particularly unique, but it's solid and the pours are generous. There's only one cider option - Angry Orchard - but that's fine by me. Pretty standard bar activities going on in here; dart throwing, jukebox playing, dudes ordering Guinness after Guinness. There's a small stage in the back corner where small bands can play, and there are TV's a plenty for game watching. It's not very dim inside, like most bars tend to be. Danny's is a little too bright with yellow light for my liking, but maybe that's for the best? All in all, I like it here just fine. I'll go back to Danny's for a cider and a baked potato. Or garlic mashed potatoes. Or potato skins. Or shepherd's pie, because... potatoes. There's all kinds of potatoes on this menu, and I intend to eat them all. It's Danny's CELTIC Pub, so I'm expecting super satisfying spuds!

I got a response from my review from a smoker who said there are dozens of places in the HEB influence that don't allow smoking. Well, for those who are stupid enough to continue to suck on a carcinogen, YEAH, I know that. If Danny's had a sign that said, "HEY, we don't have a non-smoking area, they would have saved themselves the grief of someone like me who doesn't tolerate tobacco smoke well. Most places in/around HEB (and DFW for that matter) have well defined separate smoking/non-smoking areas) Since Danny's doesn't (or didn't when we visited) Danny's suck THIS instead.

I want to update this review after a few more visits. They added lights to the dart boards and they are righteous boards now. Music nights are really fun. The house music is via jukebox, I believe that depends on whatever yahoos are there. Friday fish and chips deal is $5.99 for a large filet, fries and slaw. The food here is inconsistent. But the fish is usual consistently superior to other places. The slaw is not worth the effort to chew it. If you are a fan if Shepard's Pie, roll the dice and see if the version of the day is good. It was seriously inedible last visit. I think they overloaded it with beef granuals so it was super salty and just funky. It's then only thing I've had that was bad. Overall, I am sticking with 3 stars because of the food quality across the menu. They have some detail and consistency issues from one shift to the next. I will continue to visit and stick to their kitchen strengths, hope for music night to watch the grannies sing.

The smoking is so awful you can't even walk in the front door without the plunge of second hand smoke.

I have never written a review, but this place was so bad that it required feedback. My wife and I were interested in an Irish Pub closer to our neck of the woods instead of needing to drive to Dallas. That was a mistake. The waitress is was one of the rudest people I've ever been "served" by. She was ticked the moment we sat down, frustrated that we wanted a menu, upset to take our order, and then she and the lady in the kitchen complained loudly to the whole place that people wanted food at 8pm. At that point, I went up to the bar, cancelled our order and left. We won't ever go back. Don't bother with this place.

This place is great!!! The drinks are fantastic the food is equally as good, try as much of the food as you can! There is a framed note from Gordon Ramsey telling you to stay out of Danny's kitchen! I love the fact that I can smoke inside to get out of the heat/cold!!! Lastly, if you go there regularly you become part of a family... Danny's & friends got my back!

Visited for the first time on St. Patrick day. Place was packed and the vibe was great. Sat at the bar and had the corn beef and cabbage. The food was outstanding. We will be back.

Order the three pieces of fish and fish and chips was a huge amount of fish barely was able to finish it and I love fish and chips

I actually managed to find this place by looking for a coupon in the Ad booklet we get in the mail each month. Not to mention I had a major hankering for some fish n chips. So, my husband & I decided to go here. We started with their Sheppies for an appetizer which is basically a mini Shepard's pie on top of a potato skin served with brown gravy to dip in...absolutely phenomenal!! I order what I was craving & once again was NOT disappointed! The fish filets are so big I recommend only getting 1 if you eat the Sheppies first lol I had to get a to-go box so I'll have lunch today! The hubs ordered the Rueben (this is not on their menu but rather a special) he said it was on point! We were so stuffed by the time we left we came home & put on our stretchy pants. Oh & $2.50 wells or domestic draft beer everyday noon-8. With the $15% off coupon we spent 28 bux - I think that is a good deal considering we had an appetizer & each drank 1 beer. Can't forget to mention the exceptional service we got - those chicks were hustling! We will definitely be back to try other menu items!

I've been here quite a few times now. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because of the smoke, but it's their right to allow it and my right to go elsewhere if I choose to do so. But I love this place so I do sit outside on the patio when the weather permits. Service has always been great! Drinks also are on point! The food has always been spot on! We've had the potato skins, chicken strips, fries, chicken fried steak and the burger. Friends that have gone with us love it all too. We stopped by last week and noticed they have new booths - which look very nice! Amazing specials and the service will keep us going back!

Went to Danny's to watch the World Cup final. Drank Guinness and had the bangers and mash which was excellent. My son had mac and cheese which was probably the best I've tried. Great friendly service.
