Came here for dinner on a Saturday night, and it was good! We had a 6pm reservation, and the restaurant didn't really start filling up til 6:30 or 7, so it was a good time to go. The ambiance is trendy, dark, and intimate, great for a date night. I started with the Up in Smoke cocktail, and my husband got the Great Lakes porter on the menu. We both enjoyed our drinks, just know that the beers are not on tap, so no samples! For food, we split the Hawaiian tuna tartare, the foie gras with rum glazed donut, the pork belly with polenta, and the striped bass. The tartare was good, nothing too exciting, the foie gras was okay but the components all together didn't quite make sense, and we both really enjoyed the polenta and the bass. The desserts we got, the ricotta cheesecake and the apple cake, were both just okay.
The food was solid, and our server was super friendly and attentive. Our only gripe was that we specifically told our waiter that we wanted each dish staggered so that we could finish each dish before being served the next one. He assured us they could do that, and we still got served dishes before we'd finished our previous ones, so we just felt rushed. We probably would've ordered another dish and more drinks if we didn't feel so rushed.
Overall, solid meal, pretty good service. And honestly my husband and I are food snobs so I wouldn't take my complaints as a reason not to go, definitely check Dante out, you won't be disappointed!
