"Daphne’s Botanicals, part of the Botanical Bakeshop, offers a variety of plants, many of which are native to the Philippines. The florist shop provides an educational experience about the cultural heritage of these plants, including orchids, Cebu Blue pothos, hoya, and carnivorous pitcher plants. The shop highlights how these plants are integrated into Filipino culture and traditions." - Janey Wong

Wonderful plant shop with both mainstream and more niche types of plants, small and large. They also have lots of gifts, decorative items, books and more. They are really helpful with figuring out what plants will work well in your space. They also have abusiness of renting plants or taking care of Office plants which is super helpful!

Fantastic shop full of gorgeous plants and an attached coffee shop bakery (I think? I only have eyes for plants). The selection of potted plants in this shop is exceptional, definitely a cut above the average grocery store assortment. You'll almost certainly run into a plant you've never seen before, even if you have been keeping tropicals and succulents for many years. I was enraptured by the gorgeous Strieletzia and other large tropical plants on display, and I couldn't resist grabbing a rare Cercestis mirabilis and some supplies. The shop carries high-quality soil and plant keeping accessories. I found a great pair of snippers and some lovely saucers in festive colors, and spent the rest of my day fiddling with my plants!

I highly recommend Daphne's Botanicals! I do not live in the area and am very clueless about plants. Daphne was incredibly helpful and responsive on a tight timeline. The options were all gorgeous and I love what I chose. Daphne followed up after my purchase to check in, too. Great options, amazing service. Awesome gift idea!

I bought so many plants for my new home and fresh air for our new baby. Daphne was a breath of fresh air and really helpful. Load up and enjoy the fresh air.

This is my favorite plant shop in PDX! I go in often and somehow there are always new options for me to add to my insane plant addiction! The owner is awesome and the staff are always kind. They also have several of the more rare options that other shops don’t have. This is my latest addition—pink on pink! 10/10 would recommend, especially if you want an affordable and unique gift!

Love this cute collective store and had a great experience. Today, I was mainly there to peruse Daphne’s Botanicals section. I giddily picked up a Peperomia to add to my collection. I also purchased an organic pest control bottle to care for my houseplant babies which I’m oddly excited for. There is quite a variety to houseplants to choose from and very good quality. They are also reasonably priced. I’m looking forward to their move to SE Woodstock which will be just a hop, skip and a jump away. ☺️

Daphne has been so helpful over the past year I have been frequenting her shop. Out of my 20+ *thriving* houseplants, over half are from Daphne's. She has your standard, affordable staple species as well as curated rare, unique plants. Besides the plant selection, I also appreciate that she carries cost-effective and lightweight compostable nursery pots of all sizes— as well as locally made gifts like candles from All Burn Wax, cute ceramic planters, and seasonal flowers/stems at times. Living in the neighborhood since February 2023, Daphne's has become my go-to local plant shop that I'll keep returning for years to come!

Yelp
First things first, customer service. I messaged a couple of plant shops on Instagram asking whether they do repotting. Daphne's Botanicals was the only one to get back to me at all, and it was a prompt reply AND they followed up via email. They do offer a reporting service! For only five dollars! And they give you 10% off any pots you buy in the store, if you don't want to bring your own. This is a lifesaver for me, as I've learned to keep plants alive but historically repotting has not gone so well. I took in an incredibly long pothos that I got for free. The team at Daphne's Botanicals shared my excitement about the plant, welcomed me into the store, and quickly started on the repotting. I didn't have a pot but they gave a recommendation and I love how it turned out. While there, I browsed their product shelves and plants. It's a pretty small store, but their plants look happy and they've got some really cute planters and what they say is a really excellent plant food. They're also attached to a bakery so you can grab a little bite as well. Highly recommend this woman owned spot!

Yelp
Daphne's is a lovely neighborhood plant shop filled with lots of happy plants. Happy plants? Yes! When plants are happy, they show it in their vibrancy, blooms, and the glossy shine on their leaves. The plants here are very happy! The shop is small but has a fantastic assortment, even some hard to find bromeliad. I always have them in my home - I love the big, single bloom, preferably in orange or yellow. The bloom lasts several months, but when it dies, I keep it for several more months because my bromeliad are happy and they produce 5-6 offspring that need the mother plant. Once I repot the offspring , it takes a year or to to produce a bloom. So I buy two new ones for my kitchen counter. It seems that when I'm in the market to buy a bromeliad, they are not "in season." So when I find one or two, like at Daphnes a while back, I buy them. Love just wandering amongst the plants and finding new foliage, succulents, flowering plants, and the old faithfuls, like snake and philodendron. Daphne's also has nice pots and accessories. The owner is very knowledgable and and freely gives suggestions, which I eagerly absorb. While I don't live in the neighborhood, I drive across town or stop in when in the area.

Yelp
I recently was in charge of providing florals a funeral service where the deceased disliked big floral wreaths intensely and generally preferred live potted flower that could be donated to church or family members could take after service. It seems simple but became challenging in Portland, OR in late fall. I called numerous florist and nurseries and everyone just responded with what they had in inventory. Daphne was the only person who offered to visit the Flower Market and see what was available with no promises. She sent me images from the market, purchased what she thought I might want, then brought them all to the service to again pick and choose. We only had to pay for what we wanted. We decided to keep all she brought mainly because her selection was amazing! Daphne's service, flexibility and just general gracious hospitality was truly appreciated.

Yelp
I've been wanting to pop in to this new neighborhood plant oasis. I live a few blocks away and pass it all the time. I took the plunge today and what a delightful experience! The store is bright and there are so many unique plants, amongst staple plants aplenty! There are new pots, plenty of succulents and moss. The owners have even created a pretty cool cardboard water guide that you stick into the soil and it lets you know when the plant is dry. Im really happy this small business is in my neighborhood. As an avid plant mom, I will definitely be back!!

Yelp
Love the merger with Shop Halo Halo. Great idea except the sweets weren't as great as we were hoping. The line was long which allowed me to find a beautiful snake plant that was worth the money but the Filipino baked goods are nothing spectacular. Sorry guys - go for the plants but don't make a special trip for sweets or you may be disappointed like we were.

Yelp
This was the cutest plant store.. we went during their Rainbow Daydreams event (Queer Asian Night Market & Queer Party). They had a plant-potting station and plants/pots of all sizes. Loved the atmosphere and the staff seemed so friendly. I didn't actually get a chance to buy any plants but I need to go back!

Yelp
This is my favorite plant shop ever. They have the cutest plants, a great selection of gifts and some other cute finds as well. The staff who work here are excellent!

Yelp
This place is so cute! It shares a space with Shop Halo Halo and it really elevates the space. They have a wide variety of houseplants, tools, pots, and materials to take care of plants. Although some things are pricey I'd say it's worth coming here. I'm always willing to support small Asian owned businesses! Also the employees were super nice and kind. I'll definitely be coming here again!

Yelp
Visited Portland recently and got to swing by this awesome shop! Such a great ambience with a beautiful selection of plants and people. Can only imagine how delicious my next visit will be when the baked goods section is all set.
