A New Mediterranean Restaurant Brings Loaded Gyro Fries to Two DFW Locations - Eater Dallas

"In early February, 30-year-old California eatery Daphne’s Mediterranean will debut two outposts in DFW. The fast-casual Mediterranean chain is set to take over Noon Mediterranean’s two existing outposts at 7949 Walnut Hill Lane in Dallas and 8449 North Beltline Road in Irving after acquiring the national Mediterranean chain late last year. It’s part of a national expansion for Daphne’s, which will also assume Noon’s locations in Austin, Houston, Boston, and Philly. Daphne’s parent company Elite Restaurant Group debuted its hamburger-focused eatery Slater’s 50/50 in DFW in 2017." - Alaena Hostetter

Was looking for a healthy quick meal and stumbled unto this place. I got the build your own bowl and got to do two bases half of each. I choose the turkey balls and it was delivious! Highly recommend. If you're not building a bowl I suggest asking if their chosen meals are a bowl or a pita bread meal. My friend order and thought he was getting a bowl dish but ending up being a pita bread dish. He did say it was good though.

I absolutely loved the Cali vibes on the inside. And the Gyros? Being a Chicagoan, Gyros are one of our hometown favs and the Gyros at Daphne's are amazing. Definitely looking forward to trying everything on the menu.

UPDATED REVIEW: still pretty good, but they seem to have less stuff to put on and definitely have fewer spice choices. Also, they charged a buck more than board price for my bowl, which I think was already more than last time.

Fresh, yummy, Mediterranean food. A bit of a fusion, but great prices and kind staff.

Tried out this new place at their Grand Opening. I had the Moroccan Turkey bowl and it was good.

Took a chance on something new and it paid off big! Daphne's basic bowl was awesome. Tender delicious rice and amazingly tasty roasted veggies. I wanted a little more chicken and it was a little dry but I made up for that with my own butter. All told, a very good first impression!

Recently discovered this place on a food delivery service. Was very impressed. In fact I think we ordered it 3 times in a 7 day period. This last time the order was completely wrong, not even close. We politely reported this. We tired to re-order the correct items, but they were closed. Our money was refunded and and we had to make due with another option. Then we tried to order it for a 4th time in a week and our order was rejected! They are mad we sent back the wrong order! I find interesting the restaurant screws up the order, we don't hold it against them, continue to be customers, and they are mad at us! You can tell the best businesses not by how they handle things when everything goes right, but how they handle it when it goes wrong.

Soooo good! The lamb meatball bowl was packed with flavor. Those little fried pieces of pita they give you are so incredibly well seasoned and delicious. I wasn’t expecting much when I went in, but was very satisfied. Will definitely be back!
