Absolutely loved it. Got into our cottage a few towns over and we were struggling to get find a place to eat. Our Airbnb host called up Daphne’s and they took us in with open arms. From Italy to California… the Champs special was undoubtably one of the BEST pizza’s I’ve ever had. The entire experience was phenomenal, from the beautiful town to this cozy pub. Thank you for sharing your kindness and superb pizzas. (We had to take 2 to go…)

Visited here on a Saturday evening, following a recommendation from our holiday let. This is a very different  pizzeria experience to the norm. The staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The food is excellent, with good portions, great quality and very reasonably priced. The service here feels very states side, with table water provided when seated, the servers very knowledgeable on the wines and food. I highly recommend you eat here if visiting the town.

The two of us had just arrived in Presteigne and we found this place as we were exploring the high street. We could smell the delicious scent of pizzas and decided to go in. It has a small menu with some classic pizzas and a seasonal salad and seasonal antipasta. We each chose a pizza and the guest ale. Both the pizza and the beer were perfect. We would definitely recommend and would love to come again.

Wonderful experience! Nested in a beautiful small village this restaurant represents a marvellous incarnation of a couple, him working with huge success on authentic, down-to-earth yet creative and high-quality recipes, while she takes care of the guests.

The pies, wine, and service at Daphne’s are all of the highest quality. Can’t wait to go back next time we’re in town, as pizzas like this don’t just land in front of you every day. Make sure to try the pepperoni. 🍕!

Tasty homemade sourdough pizzas. The burrata starter was inventive and delicious, with melon, blackberries and limequat jam. We also had the special pizza with courgettes and nduja, which was perfectly balanced. The owners were very friendly and guided us towards some tasty low-intervention wine and local ales. A must-do in Presteigne!

We love eating at Daphnes and we do regularly. There are usually 4 different pizzas on the menu. My daughter usually has Naples which is capers and olives (she has it without anchovies), there is always a really interested special - this time it was 3 cheeses including sheep’s cheese ricotta with crunchy mangetout. I am now dairy free and so have the Marinara and ask to add Pepperoni. The salad is delicious with a delicious dressing and crunchy seeds. We also love the burrata which is a type of cheese which they change the toppings each time such as lemon zest and honey and nuts. So good!! They also have homemade cider. Would highly recommend!

We were walk-ins and this place was busy. The nice woman behind the counter was accomodating and gave us a time where we could fit in. Wife was not interested in any other place based just off the smell of sourdough as we walked in. We returned and were promptly sat. The setting is quirky and is packed with historical photos of what the restaurant used to be a long time ago. This is not a large restaurant and it's cosy setting in dimly lit rooms. We had garlic bread and 2 pizzas. All 3 were delicious. The sourdough is the sourest I've ever had and loved it. So if you like sour sourdough then this is the place for you. The menu is simple but extremely effective. The quality shines through. Highly recommend!
