Daphne's Westhampton

Daphne was delicious. a bit of a limited menu with a confusing mix of cuisines, but we loved everything we got! The hummus plate had a beautiful presentation with a VERY light spread of hummus on the plate. The hummus itself was light and lemony, the naan was crispy and the vegetables tasted fresh. The vegetable roll had bell peppers and avocado. The soba noodle salad was refreshing and filling! delicious! The vibes were good and the service was great.

There’s not enough space to recap my complete dining experience. From the lack of overall attention to my table from the start of the appetizer that never came out until we inquired, to the witnessing of no less than 4 other tables turnover while we waited for our meal, (over an hour) to the ultimate disgrace of our food being served to us in a huge TO GO bag…we did not order our steak dinner with wine to go! In trying to right the wrong we were “re-served” our steak nearly raw. Ultimately sad to say the absolute worst dining experience. One complete mishap after another.

Don’t get me wrong, if you are looking for a good cocktail and a nice place to sit. This place will work. But if you are looking for a place to have a nice dinner and service. Keep looking. This is a picture of my steak. It came in seasoned and I asked for medium. They gave me both sides of the spectrum. I don’t even know how they did it. But it was the worst. Our waters were warm the entire time, and our poor server and busser had zero clue what they were doing. They had no hospitality or common knowledge of their food or capabilities. They flat out told me I couldn’t substitute my fries for a salad(me trying to be healthy). Anyway. For what we paid, I was not happy with the experience, and looking at how they acted with other tables, im sure that others can attest to the lack of attention and charisma from the staff.

What a great turnaround from the burger joint. This place is top notch. The crowd, the service, the food, the drinks, the view! All top shelf. The She's Old Fashioned was delightful. The chopped salad was fresh and delicious and surprisingly filling. The Seared Tuna with Soba Noodles was something I'd come back for, amazing! WHB has become a hub for great restaurants over the last few years. If you want a taste of the high end without drifting deep into Hamptons/Montauk territory, WHB is for you. I have a family member that works at one of the restaurants in WHB as well as her friends do too. I also have some friends that live in that area and I had a quick stint at DE Real Estate there. Great people! Tell 'em Barsnobs sent ya!

Last summer this was my favorite spot in WHB. Not anymore, I have celiac and this went from a really exciting place where I could eat all the things I usually can’t to just par for the course. They changed their menu and nothing is labeled anymore. They used to have a dedicated fryer but I guess they decided it was too much of a hassle so even though much of the menu of fried things is gluten free they are all cross contaminated. They have chicken milanese and shrimp tempura which are made without gluten containing ingredients; why they would decide to have so much of their fried food be made with gluten free ingredients but not keep a dedicated gluten free fryer is beyond me.

The service was ridiculously slow. It took over an hour to get our main course. Our dinner did not come out of the kitchen until I inquired about it. The acoustics were less than ideal. I could barely hear the people across the table from me. My husband's lobster sandwich was mediocre. He could barely taste any truffle. It was a celebratory dinner for my daughter's 16 birthday. The chocolate lava cake was minuscule. We were extremely disappointed in the whole experience.

Really pretty restaurant with open floorplan. Really nice bartenders and waitstaff. Sat by the bar, on a Tuesday night, great vibes. Lots of tables outback this beautiful night, lots of tables on the front patio on this beautiful night. Manager (with glasses) front desk was turning people away?! Not sure why I have been here for one hour by the bar and the same tables …back patio and front patio have been empty? I wish he would walk them in to at least have a drink at the bar, or give them a time limit. An hour later, and the tables are all still empty.? Wish they could’ve come in and enjoyed the nice atmosphere and the tasty food. Oh well……

Love Daphne’s! All the staff are attentive and service is excellent. Amanda and her family make you feel like part of their family. The food is always delicious. I’ve eaten there several times and have never been disappointed. Cocktails also don’t disappoint. My favorite is the Lambrusco Spritz. I highly recommend dining at Daphne’s.

I had a spectacular time here at Daphne's! The food was served fresh and hot. The staff cooked it very nicely and served it quickly. The ambiance is super chill and relaxing.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Daphne's. The interior was beautifully decorated and our server was extremely attentive to our table. The presentation of the food on our plates was great and tasted delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Apps - shrimp cocktail and tuna tartare are amazing Dinner - one of the best lobster rolls I've ever had. Also the lamb burger with coffee grinds was mouth watering. We had to wait a few minutes for our table (place was packed) but they were super friendly. Recommend sitting in the outdoor area out front.

Karen , the bartender, very nice and prompt Menu: nothing to eat in there, Spiced fried terrible, burger even worse!! Why to keep open off season if you cannot offer A decent meal to the client? I left the place hungry and went to Flora for a decent meal Sorry for my friend Eugene that was play sone music in there!

Came here with five other women. Was gonna drop $200 here, ended up spending only $70 because of the way I was treated. It's just a cheap place with cheap people especially the receptionist in the front. Know why you're serving me, not the other way around.

They're open now at Rogers beach, but they don't open until 11. Coz no one wants coffee before 11. This was my chicken caesar "wrap". Sad.

Great atmosphere for brunch or night life! I have been a couple times on the weekends and they have had a good DJ and the vibes are great. Good place for a classier going out spot.

Food -- oysters and salad apps were fresh and carefully curated, branzino was tasty and healthy, the lamb burger pays homage to and surpasses the iconic Breslin burger from nyc Cocktails -- easily the best in the Hamptons, clear that there's a real mixologist present. In addition to trying the choices on the menu (Asian Poire was a standout), we also asked them to make us martinis (always a test of a bar's acumen) and they were on point Service -- not your typical clueless Hamptons waiters, ours new how the drinks were served, ideal temperature of the burger and fish, and took great care to be always present without hovering Ambiance -- we went on peak time in Saturday night, sat indoors, place was packed both in and outside, and as other reviewers pointed out it was loud. Not sure what they were expecting when they go out in the Hamptons, but I imagine it's less crowded and not as loud early or on a week day evening. Not cheap but shockingly not crazy expensive either for the quality of food and service, especially given it's the Hamptons.

Love Daphne's!!! Such a great addition to WHB. Have eaten there a few times and have always had great food and service. Yes, it's busy and can be crowded, but I'm happy they are thriving and have brought such a great vibe to the town. Waitstaff is always very attentive. I actually ate there last night when a rainstorm came out of nowhere and I was impressed with how well the staff handled the situation. Also, I have to add that I tried the crab cake for the first time and it's one of the best I have ever had.

Best burger in the Hamptons! Parking was easy, was attentive and the restaurant was PACKED until late. Special call out for the amazing cocktails and wine selection. Easily the best restaurant in Westhampton Beach right now

Best restaurant in the Hamptons!! Great food (one of the best crab cakes in NY), ambience and service. We got a reservation for prime time on Saturday night. Got a great table outside and enjoyed a lovely evening with friends. The staff was great, super quick and knowledgeable, the food was great and came out quickly and the drinks were great (don't forget to try their old Fashioned). As a Southampton resident, this is my new top spot. Congrats to the new Chef and team!

Great good, great service and all in an excellent setting! The seafood platter was phenomenal along with the calamari tempura and Caesar salad. Definitely want to go back to try more!

We really wanted to like Daphne's. But after three tries we will not be back. The food is mediocre, the very sweet waitstaff is inexperienced and it shows in the service, and the management seems uninterested in making customers satisfied. This last time the food arrived after an hour, without explanation. We asked for bread (which they charged us for although it was not on the menu) and they brought a piece of pita bread cut into six pieces. The crab cake was incredibly fishy smelly and tasting. but the piece de resistance-- and this happened the previous visit too -- was charging for ice for our drinks. One time it was a $4 charge for dirty ice, even though we got plain ice. The second time it was for dirty ice for a Manhattan, which would not use dirty ice. When we asked the waiter he said it was actually for stirring the drink. we got the same explanation this last time. They actually charge extra for stirred, shaken, mixed, but it appears on the bill as ice or dirty ice. It's bizarre at best and unheard of in any restaurant we have been to, and we eat out more than we should! We really wanted them to do well, as an anchor in the town. But they need to improve their customer service if they ever want repeat customers.

We called to ma my e reservations for a party of 8 but we're told our party was too big. Q when we arrived we had to wait, and we were seated at two different tables. Ok. We sat down, ordered drinks, then one table was told we're told that they ran out of food and the kitchen was closed. Speaking to staff about this, they seemed totally uncaring. This is no way to run a business. Horrible.

The service is awful and the manager is super disrespectful. Our apps came out after the the main course and the manager did not see anything wrong with that. After we complained the bill was throw at us as if the customer is not always right. Highly do not recommend going.

This place is not for people who want an evening of conversation and good service. Rather, it's so loud you cannot hear your friends. Worse, the service in every way was horrendous. The manager was no where to be found. Finally, the owner came over and made excuses and just about picked a fight with one of us. Strange behavior, indeed. The food, on the other hand, was just ok, French fries, not even cooked and were slimy. Sauces on the fish did not blend. $25 hamburger, only adequate. We only saw our waitress at the beginning of the meal and then not again until the end. The manager assured us that we had the best waitress and we fell into the 2% of people in the whole restaurant who had a bad experience. This restaurant failed all rules of customer service: unprofessional, unprepared and not people-oriented. For those prices, especially, we expected so much more and would never go back.

So impressed by Daphne's! The vibe and decor are very nice and the food was delicious. Had the tuna tartare appetizer and ordered another portion because it was that good. The lobster Cobb salad was great and the Branzino was amazing. I will definitely be back!

So today Sep 24 my family went for brunch and it's absolutely delicious, we got eggs Benedict, French toast, and the eggs sandwich. Big portions, the hash browns are so good. The service too, our server was so kind to us I can't remember his name. Love the colors it's so cozy and warm. Of course we are going back. I do wish they had more options in the menu but it's fine.

This place is a fantastic addition to WHB. Food is superb, vibe is awesome, drinks are top notch. Saturday nights in particular are a blast. We'll be back again soon!

Unfortunately this. new addition to local restaurant seen is a big disappointment. We can excuse the poorly trained inexperienced staff because they have no support and an almost impossible pathway to serve and clean. The big disappointment is the food. The crab cake is filled with low qualify fishy smelly ingredients; inedible. the rest of the food mediocre at best.

this was delicious!!! highly recommend the cold soba noodles. the fries are also fantastic. service was very quick (servers filled up our water glasses so often!!) and the decor was gorgeous.

This was one of the best dining experiences we've had in Westhampton. The food, service, abundance and cocktails put this place above all others in town. The owners themselves are there to welcome diners. It was our anniversary and the entire staff made the night exceptional. The chicken and salmon were outstanding. I highly recommend the roasted cauliflower. There wasn't anything that I saw lacking. Great addition to the town.

Went one time, the seating is arranged very oddly and their is not enough room for workers to move around. Food was actually very good but it was small portion for the price in my opinion. Server was very nice but wasn't very helpful, couldn't answer question about the menu and had to leave to ask and took a very long time to come back. I understand she might be new but basic things like dressings should be easy to relay to a customer. You'd expect more experience or standard for the price of the menu. It was good but seemed like it was pretending to be something it wasn't. Overall if the portions were larger or prices were a little less it would bump up like 1 or 2 stars.
