The 15 Best Vegetarian Restaurants In Philadelphia

"Germantown has exactly one Ethiopian restaurant. But after one trip to Salam Cafe, you’ll know it’s the only option you need. The shop and market has warm and friendly service, lots of tables, and is relaxing enough that you’ll know everyone’s name inside by the end of the meal. Choose from a few Ethiopian stews (our favorite is the spicy stew chicken), baked salmon, tender vegetables, and a dangerously addictive loose leaf tea on your first (or 25th) visit." - candis mclean

Many unique items. Tried the gyro plate and it was very tasty. The tamarind drink was really good too. The chicken shawarma is really good too. They have the good lady fingers for tiramisu as well as other unique items including meats.

Google
Great baklava and delicious chicken platter. It came with homemade hummus, salad with veggies and a fresh herbalicious sauce for the meat. Wrapped some in the pita and threw on the best tatziki sauce ever.

Google
Sooo good. The chicken and gyro was delicious. The whole family cleaned their plates. To top ot off, the baclava was fresh and some of the best I’ve had!

Google
I'm addicted to the fresh tasting gyro sandwiches this place serves. For those of us with kids, the fries and chicken strips are actually quite delicious too. This is the one place in Sioux Falls I hope can make it through this pandemic.

I've always wanted to try this place and finally got to it Nov 26. The warm welcome the owners have is remarkable, then it's the food. This place has the best Mediterranean food in Sioux falls or anything nearby. I've been over seas and this food was authentic as it comes.

These guys have some of the best gyros in town! I only wish they were open later, they close their kitchen at 2:30 pm which is a bit early.

Google
Best Gyro I’ve had in years. The falafel was also excellent.

Google
Absolutely fantastic food. So refreshing and definitely home cooked. Everything was so well prepared. I tried a little bit of everything too. The falafel was delicious. Pita bread tasted like it was just baked. Chicken was super juicy and the seasoning was amazing. Not sure what was in the cucumber tomato salad; but it was excellent. I’ll be coming back for lunch at minimum once a month. Great service. And for $13 out the door; I got sooooo much food. Loved it

Yelp
The gyro was unreal. Easily one of the best I've had and at a super reasonable price. Couldn't put it down once I started eating.

Yelp
I actually pulled into the parking lot planning on eating next door at a Vietnamese restaurant. Have to say that I am pleasantly pleased that I didn't. In front is a Middle Eastern market, in the back is a to go restaurant. I ordered a Gyro and a Spanakopita. The Spanakopita looked so good (and it was) I ate it before I could take a photo. The Gyro was also quite good. Nice amount of Lamb, tomato, onion and yummy Tzatziki sauce. It also had lettuce, diced cucumber and diced pickles. Not that I'm an expert in Gyros, but I've never had those last 3 ingredients on one before. Quite good, especially for $6.99! My only negative comment is that there is no place to sit and eat. All in all a great tasting meal at a very reasonable price. I will be back to try other items on the menu.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! The food is so fresh and everything just tastes better than you expect! Hummus, tsaziki, tahini, taboulah, gyro meat, falafel, all amazing with fresh spices and seasonings and homemade sauces. So delish! It's take out only, so plan for that but for the value of the food, the prices were very reasonable! Platter for $9.99, gyro for $6.99 and 4 amazing falafel for $1.99. I wish we had remembered to take photos but our mouths were watering to try it and we forgot. However, we will definitely be back!

Yelp
The real star of Gyro time is the fresh pita bread and the curly fries are out of this world. The market also has a great selection of snacks. This is my new favorite place to go to when I forget to pack lunch.

Yelp
The best falafel sandwich in town! The bread is nice and chewy, the falafels are scrumptious and I've never been big on falafels. Fresh ingredients and great value! I can't speak for the chicken or lamb shawarmas, because I'm vegetarian, but their business is picking up for sure.

Yelp
Don't order from here. Didn't get my full delivery. Then it's my problem I got my fries and not my platter. Horrible service. Go to nicks
