The 22 Best Restaurants in Marrakech, Morocco | Eater

"Housed in a traditional riad-style building, Dar Moha sits beside the palace Dar el Bacha, once the home of the pasha of Marrakech. The historic neighborhood makes chef Moha Fedal’s modern approach to Moroccan cuisine extra surprising. While his creative work may not satisfy purists, Fedal incorporates Andalusian influences to produce something special. Don’t skip the salad course, composed of 14 rotating salads made with raw and cooked seasonal ingredients. Combined with a few warm appetizers, the salads are enough to constitute a light meal, but if you’d like a heartier main, the sea bass and prawns in chermoula are delicious. We were recommended to try this restaurant, and it exceeded all expectations. The food was the best we’ve had on our trip, and the setting was absolutely stunning. The staff, especially Nabil, were incredibly attentive, taking the time to explain each dish in detail. While some have mentioned the pricing, we found it to be excellent value for the quality and service—if anything, it felt slightly underpriced. The Moroccan wine was outstanding and definitely worth trying. We’ll certainly be returning later this year!

Dashed in for lunch on our last day because the weather was cold and wet. Was a great way to spend a couple of hours - probably the most interesting meal we have had over 5 days - very Moroccan but far more on interesting than most restaurants offer. Excellent value although although not the cheapest . Nabil was an attentive and welcoming head waiter but they were all lovely.

Atmosphere was so beautiful and peaceful, staff were so friendly, and helpful as well- they also provided a charger so I could charge my phone! The food was amazing! We ordered the unmissable tangia and it was one of the best dishes I’ve had! The meat was so tender and the vegetables were made perfectly. The portion sizes were so generous as well and I still daydream of this meal! Will definitely go back to Morocco just for that meal again!

The food was really nice. It tasted amazing and there was no problem getting a vegetarian option. It was beautifully made and very authentic. The waiter was amazing and they were really attentive and welcoming. It's a beautiful atmosphere and there even was life music. Nabil was a really nice waiter and he made us feel very special on this evening. Thank you :)

The ambiance and service were excellent, but having had only a weekend visit , I found that there were other places where I could eat which were considerably less expensive and had an equally good atmosphere and service. I am from Britain and was not very happy that smoking was allowed anywhere in the restaurant. I must confess I am not sure if that is true in the whole of Morocco (because I was there only for a short time) but I am always disinclined to revisit places where smoking is allowed in any places where non-smokers are likely to be located together.

A culinary escape in the heart of Marrakech… Dinner at Dar Moha is more than a meal—it’s a journey through Moroccan flavors, reimagined by the legendary Chef Moha Fedal. From the floral pastilla to the slow-cooked tagines and the iconic tasting of 14 Moroccan salads, every dish tells a story. All set in a historic riad, poolside, with live traditional music—pure magic. In the evening, the restaurant does not offer à la carte options, but a fixed-price menu (excluding drinks). Special shoutout to Nabil for his elegant and attentive service—he truly elevates the entire experience. A small note: the person welcoming guests wore jeans and a t-shirt, which felt a bit out of place. A more traditional outfit would better reflect the spirit and elegance of the house.
