The 22 Best Restaurants in Marrakech, Morocco | Eater

"Housed in a traditional riad-style building, Dar Moha sits beside the palace Dar el Bacha, once the home of the pasha of Marrakech. The historic neighborhood makes chef Moha Fedal’s modern approach to Moroccan cuisine extra surprising. While his creative work may not satisfy purists, Fedal incorporates Andalusian influences to produce something special. Don’t skip the salad course, composed of 14 rotating salads made with raw and cooked seasonal ingredients. Combined with a few warm appetizers, the salads are enough to constitute a light meal, but if you’d like a heartier main, the sea bass and prawns in chermoula are delicious. I feel that the other 1-star reviews don’t do this place justice. If you know what to expect before arriving here, you won’t be disappointed. Being from the US we ate dinner at opening time, but most people arrived around 8-9. There’s live music performed by different groups and the ambiance was superb. Very romantic and elegant vibe. The service was phenomenal—all the service staff were very attentive. Ismael and nabil were our server and they even threw in a little surprise for us at the end for my husband’s birthday. The lamb shank tagine was fall off the bone, no knife required! I would definitely consider coming here if you’re looking for a nice dinner or celebrating a special occasion. We left very full and happy!

A beautiful and serene place in the heart of Marrakech ❤️.We felt relaxed 😌 waiting for the food because of the atmosphere there absolutely love it.Well, it felt kinda touristique because the prices and the vibes over there. Anyways, we took Moroccan beef couscous and chicken tajine with olives 🫒, both dishes were savory and sweet. I highly recommend this place

We were recommended to try this restaurant, and it exceeded all expectations. The food was the best we’ve had on our trip, and the setting was absolutely stunning. The staff, especially Nabil, were incredibly attentive, taking the time to explain each dish in detail. While some have mentioned the pricing, we found it to be excellent value for the quality and service—if anything, it felt slightly underpriced. The Moroccan wine was outstanding and definitely worth trying. We’ll certainly be returning later this year!

Atmosphere was so beautiful and peaceful, staff were so friendly, and helpful as well- they also provided a charger so I could charge my phone! The food was amazing! We ordered the unmissable tangia and it was one of the best dishes I’ve had! The meat was so tender and the vegetables were made perfectly. The portion sizes were so generous as well and I still daydream of this meal! Will definitely go back to Morocco just for that meal again!

Dashed in for lunch on our last day because the weather was cold and wet. Was a great way to spend a couple of hours - probably the most interesting meal we have had over 5 days - very Moroccan but far more on interesting than most restaurants offer. Excellent value although although not the cheapest . Nabil was an attentive and welcoming head waiter but they were all lovely.

The ambiance and service were excellent, but having had only a weekend visit , I found that there were other places where I could eat which were considerably less expensive and had an equally good atmosphere and service. I am from Britain and was not very happy that smoking was allowed anywhere in the restaurant. I must confess I am not sure if that is true in the whole of Morocco (because I was there only for a short time) but I am always disinclined to revisit places where smoking is allowed in any places where non-smokers are likely to be located together.

Absolutely stunning place with define food. You wouldn't be disappointed! We were very well looked by all the staff and in particular Nabil. He made us feel special and was very accommodating around our children.

One of the best food experience! We tasted flavours never tasted before. We loved chicken cinnamon Pastilla and the presentation of the starters. Nabil was very kind with us doing his job with high levels of professionalism
