There Are Now No Restaurants Left in the City’s Broadgate Quarter | Eater London

"A high-end Indian restaurant helmed by chef Abdul Yaseen that operated within the Broadgate Quarter; it closed in May, joining other recent departures from the development's dining lineup." - Adam Coghlan

Hair in the Biryani Absolutely disgusted with my order of chicken biryani. I discovered a long strand of human hair mixed in with the chicken and rice. This is completely unacceptable and a major health and hygiene issue. It ruined my entire meal and made me question the cleanliness of the entire establishment. I immediately lost my appetite and will not be ordering from here again. Avoid at all costs if you value sanitation and a hair-free meal.

Darbar Halal Restaurant Delicious but Overpowering Darbar Halal Restaurant in Sacramento offers a vast menu of Afghani and Pakistani dishes at very reasonable prices. The location is decent, and the facility itself is clean and well-decorated. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb, along with garlic and regular naan. Both dishes were incredibly flavorful, but unfortunately, the abundance of spices was a bit overwhelming. It wasn't necessarily spicy or hot, but the sheer volume of ingredients, including what seemed to be a significant amount of sugar, created a somewhat overpowering taste that might leave some diners with heartburn. Overall: Darbar is a great option for those seeking authentic and flavorful Afghani/Pakistani cuisine at budget-friendly prices. However, the intense spice blend might not appeal to all palates. Recommendations: * Consider milder options: If you're sensitive to strong flavors, inquire about milder alternatives or request the chef to adjust the spice level. * Try the bread: The naan, both garlic and plain, was excellent and a perfect complement to the curries. * Explore the menu: The extensive menu offers a wide variety of dishes, so there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Had a chance to try out Darbar Halal, and it was a pleasant surprise! The paneer tikka masala had a rich, creamy sauce with a good blend of spices, not too overwhelming but with enough kick to keep each spoonful interesting. The paneer itself was soft and absorbed the flavors of the masala well. Alongside it, the naan was perfectly done with a nice chewy texture and some charred bits that gave it that authentic tandoor touch. It was great for scooping up the masala sauce. While I can't speak for the other dishes, the fluffy rice, succulent kebabs, and that flavorful looking fried rice on other tables sure made me want to plan my next visit soon. Darbar Halal offers a cozy spot for anyone looking to enjoy some classic Indian dishes done right. Definitely worth popping by if you find yourself with a craving for some good paneer!

Everything tastes great. Flavorful gravies and biryanis. Big portions enough for leftovers. Especially loved the soft, chewy naan. Friendly service. Pleasant casual dining room.

We found this Halal restaurant recently and it is one of the most reliable, authentic, and worth-every-penny restaurant in the Sacramento area. The menu has various options and the food is excellent with perfect spice levels and flavors according to the dish. Darbar does a great job in satisfying the back-home cravings by recreating those familiar flavors, especially in South Indian dishes. As of now we have tried their Lamb Vindaloo, Garlic Naan, Vijayawada Chicken Biryani, Kabuli Pulao, Chicken Lollipop, and Shrimp Noodles. All the dishes tasted better than our expectations, and came with large portions. The staff are very friendly and polite. Till date, we have only done takeout orders, but we are planning to try out the dine-in option soon. From our experiences, all I can say is that the chances of disappointment in ordering from this restaurant are fairly low.

We ordered goat biryani and noodles. There was hardly any meat in there. We didn't go there to pay $15-20 per dish just for that. Total rip off. . Please, charge more but at the least give people value for their money. Not happy at all. Will not go there again. And will not recommend this place to anyone.

This restaurant is the definition of a hidden gem! The exterior is not very inviting, but once you’re inside you realize that you may have discovered something good. They serve Indian, Chinese and Afghani food. Usually combinations of different food like that is a warning that none of them will be particularly good, but in this case, you’d be wrong. My friend and I tried some of the Indian dishes and one Afghani dish. Everything we ordered was delicious! We had panipuri, garlic & butter naan, chicken pepper masala, and koobideh kebab. Like I said, everything was delicious, but our absolute favorite dish was the chicken pepper masala was amazing!
