Stopped by this place on our way back from palm desert, theu were showing all games i ordered a burger my wife some tacos,a few beers, the service and food were great.

Google
Great scenery, nice location, and the people were really cool there. Plenty of screens for your sports pleasure, and I have the for a three star because we only had a few appetizers. I'm looking forward to going back for sure, and telling friends as well.

Eric R.

Google
We were shortly after they opened at 11 on a Sunday so it was not busy. We got seated right away. There were 4 of us. The food was excellent. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was awesome. Different tv screens showing baseball, golf and a few other things. It would be an excellent place during football season! For this visit, 5 stars!

Google
First time visit, not disappointed at all... The food, service and comradery were great. Bartender Sam was awesome and the head chef "JJ" did his thing with something as simple as a turkey club. It was delicious😋. I will be back to explore other dishes.

Google
This bar is one of the best sports bars around the IE. So many screens! Tons of seating. The staff is generally quick and efficient. This place gets tons of visitors. A nice menu with a variety of things, The prices are pretty good. I’ve been coming here for years and am super happy to support the business. They also broadcast Dodgers and Angels games which is nice. Also located in a great central downtown Redlands location! Cheers

Google
The place had lots t.vs good music very nice service, the food was delicious, full of flavor and the drinks were perfect, definitely coming back to try the rest!! 5 star easily.

I stopped by Darby’s for a quick drink and ended up having a pretty unusual interaction with Tyler, the bartender. He was charming, no doubt about it, and very confident. At one point, he actually kissed me. Just leaned in and did it, right there at the bar. After that, he kept flexing and asking me to feel his biceps like it was part of the service. I’m a little older so I wasn’t exactly offended, and honestly, it was kind of flattering. That said, I could see a lot of people not being okay with it. Definitely not your standard bartender behavior. The drinks were good, the bar itself was fine, but Tyler might be a bit much for some. Three stars for the overall experience. Interesting night, to say the least.

Google
Had the most unpleasant experience at this establishment. We showed up as group and was met with an attitude when we asked to sit outside. Only after asking twice to speak with the manager did we finally get a server to come take our order. When she finally showed up, she greeted us with the ugliest attitude. Instead of being humble, and apologizing for the delay in service, she tried to blame another group for the confusion. No hospitality whatsoever. Our group will never return again.

Yelp
Darbys is best for the good TVs they have inside! Lots around the bar & in the dining room. A great place to watch sports. Vibes are good. Place is clean & they have a decent happy hour. The food is decent, nothing great but not horrible either. Bar food. Service is good but every time I've been, they've needed more.

Yelp
Effy, I'm not sure how I feel about this place. My first impression was terrible. I wanted to sit at the bar high top to watch the game, but we were told that it seats four, and the Bills game had limited TV options. Despite two open tables, we were placed in the back at a table that could fit six or more. The logistics didn't make sense. I ordered and received the wrong drink, but I just dealt with it. The service was mediocre; my husband's chicken sandwich was good, but the buffalo chicken egg rolls were unfortunately drier than the desert. This was our first time here, and it wasn't the best experience. We overheard the table next to us discussing the service and they must have asked multiple times if their food was coming, thinking that the server forgot to add it. That's not a good look. I'm sure there's some good food, and they have the sports package, but if you're looking for a great restaurant, the surrounding areas might be worth exploring.

Yelp
Our experience at Darby's was extremely disappointing. We came in with a large group and waited nearly 30 minutes without a single staff member acknowledging us or offering service. When someone finally came over--a Caucasian female server--she approached us with a noticeably rude and dismissive attitude. Things only got worse when we asked to speak with a manager. We were told, bafflingly, that no one knew who the manager was because they were there as a "third party." That kind of response just shows how disorganized and unprofessional the staff was. We ended up getting our own drinks directly from the bar (which was the only place we received quick service), but ultimately decided to leave due to the unacceptable treatment. Definitely won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend Darby's to anyone expecting even basic hospitality.

Yelp
Been here a few times. Always sit at the bar cause it can be a little packed in here. Today I got the fish tacos and they did not disappoint. Pretty yummy!! The sauce was really good. I'll say, I wish it had more fish on it.

Deanna P.

Yelp
Bartender was cool, but beer is not cold ! Room temp at best . Should have tried a margarita. My neighbors to my right said the gin & tonic was gross . Great for sports, but for the love of God, get a better cooling system for the beers you sell which is a LOT!

Yelp
Duuuuuuuude *facepalm* ***Disappointment ***Inconsistency The only word that continues to come up is so disappointed. And the catch is, last time we were here (Nov10) the burger was so fire. Let me start from the beginning. When we came back in November we ordered the pulled pork and a burger along with drinks and the Irish Nachos. The appetizer was fire, the burger was delicious, literally the patty melting in my mouth. The pulled pork sandwich on the other hand has to be sent back because it was too salty. I think their orange sauce had an error. Like they put salt instead of sugar when they were making it because it was that salty. Other than that everything was fine and I was gonna put 4 stars **** on my review. AMAZING service, great feel, and totally fun atmosphere. We came back this Friday. About a month apart from last time. Since the burgers were so good we thought that was the preferred pick. My husband got the chimi spicy burger and I got the darbinator, our pick from last time. Idk if their product distributor changed, or hasn't arrived and they went to their mystery meat and bread because we were sooooo surprised and NOT in a good way. Bread on BOTH burgers was stale and dry. It literally crumbled and we took a bite. The square meat patties weren't even seasoned. They felt like they had been frozen and microwaved. Let's just say my medium rare was fully cooked, and not on the stove. The only reason they get 2 stars is because the regular nachos we got this time were good, and service keeps being great. Two burgers gone to waste. We literally left all our food. We learned our lesson. Don't come here for dinner. Maybe appetizers and drinks.

Yelp
On my last visit here the security guard asked my age almost apologetically before allowing me entrance, saying he had to ask. He did not seek any written proof of age afterward, probably because my white hair was ample confirmation of adult status. I would have been flattered if the reason for the inquiry had been based on a suspicion that my physical appearance indicated that I might not be 21. But, alas that did not occur. Bacon Wrapped Shrimp was again a superb starter, with really plump and hot shrimps. And, Classic Chili with Kidney Beans was also hot and excellent. Then I moved on to an Ancho Pulled Pork Sandwich wtih Onion Rings that were good and crunchy but varied widely in size. And I only detected a slight barbecue flavor in the pulled pork. Meanwhile, Diane again enjoyed her Orange Street Fish & Chips with French Fries. We received fine service amid a festive atmosphere of happy cantina goers mostly in their 20s. Demographically we looked out of place, but didn't really care. Most important to us here as elsewhere are the quality and variety of food served. And we both really like tavern food done right.

Yelp
Good spot, decent drinks, great atmosphere. It's a nice spot to watch a game or two. I recommend going here to hang out.
google avatar

Gillian S.

Yelp
We came in after work and were seated immediately. They have happy hour specials after 9pm til closing so we took advantage of the $8 menu. For dinner, we ordered the spicy chimi burger with fries and the chicken pesto sandwich with onion rings. Split between two people it was a very filling dinner. The ambiance wasn't too loud on a Sunday night and the service was quick and attentive. Darby's made for a nice cap to our evening.

Robert S.

Yelp
This is my first time at Darby's and I enjoyed the experience thoroughly. It's a sports bar with many screens and decent music playing. The help is friendly and professional. The food came out in a timely manner. I had the patty melt, which was delicious. They added a fried egg and avocado, which added some extra taste to the already flavorful hamburger. I definitely recommend this place and plan on returning soon I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed in the food

The fish and chips were very good and had drinks. Wine was great. The waitress was perfect. Nice atmosphere and clean

Yelp
The food was blan. And the beers were good. That's why I gave it a2 stars. Most are locals that hang out. And probably have never ate out side of here. My pesto sandwich was dry. Had to get a side of pesto. Which was bland no taste and just oil. My coworkers only liked the chicken strips. The nachos were salty and they left hqlf of it. Service was mediocre you only get good service if you are from here or have an eye patch.

Yelp
Great food. Excellent atmosphere. Unique options. Ofcourse since its in downtown Redlands it is a great place to stop with friends or family. The service was good. We were towards the back hidden away. Next time I would like to experience being in thick of restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
I want to give a thank you to Jon for reaching out twice to me regarding my past experiences. We have visited twice since then and things are seeming to improve. Food and drinks are great just wish the late night menu had a few more options! The past two servers we had were very nice. I would only recommend having a hostess in the front, all the time we have gone no one is there. Other than that, thank you Jon!

Yelp
Calm refreshing establishment. Many tvs and a bar so you can watch your favorite sports.Ambiance was 10/10.Waiter was really kind her service was phenomenal.Didnt keep you waiting but also didn't visit too frequent apart from the service food was really good amazing portions fulfilling portions

Yelp
the burger was excellent and cooked the way I asked for it. Was juicy and flavorful! Server was nice and had a great personality. The ambiance was very lively since it was Monday night football it was a packed house
google avatar

Samantha G.

Yelp
Huge drink menu: 40 taps, 100+ whiskeys, solid happy hour deals. Tasty, generously portioned dishes--from sliders, to steak, to ribs. Fun sports-bar atmosphere with TVs everywhere. It can get cramped and noisy when it's packed. Service occasionally slows down on busy nights.

Yelp
I'm on a new kick where I don't review a place until I've visited a few times. I typically come here for lunch and it's nice and quiet. However, I'm writing this review on a Friday during happy hour with a big game on. First things first, GREAT place to watch a game (without sound). So many TV's. Not a seat in the house where you can't see the game. Sound would be nice, but it's fine. Food: I've tried various appetizers and entrees. Everything has been fresh and delicious. No complaints whatsoever about food. Service isn't bad either. I would say it's above average considering it's a bar. Overall a fan of this place. I will continue to come back.

Trinity R.

Yelp
Amazing experience! Immediately as I walked in the hostess was very welcoming and sweet and immediately sat me. Unfortunately I have many food regulations and health requirements so I was very nervous about dining in today, but my waitress Ashtyn made sure I was taken care of all the way !! Knowledgeable of the menu and overall gave me a great experience. Will be returning!

Yelp
Went here last Friday as a group of 10. From the moment we arrived the hostess did not seem like she wanted to help us, when we asked if we could be seated outside, she said "sure" and slammed her pen down with an attitude. You can overlook that she is human, but then we didn't get anyone to take our drink order. Friends went to the bar and came back still nobody checked on us. We were patient until we started seeing other groups being served food already who had arrived and were seated after us. When there was a waitress that came, she only helped one part of the group and never address the rest of us. We asked to speak to management and they sent a waitress who came to our table visibly upset, and waving her hands asking who needed to be served? I asked why she had an attitude, and she said I can get you another sever, I said please do. As she walked away she got into a verbal argument with another person from our group and left. When I went to look for management nobody was able to get someone so we left. I will not come to this establishment again.

Yelp
In the heart of downtown Redlands lies Darbys, a quaint establishment known for its diner-esque charm and vibrant ambiance. Despite its unassuming setting, Darbys never fails to surprise with its culinary offerings. A recent visit left me thoroughly impressed.. particularly by the 8oz steak served alongside creamy mashed potatoes, au jus sauce, and perfectly cooked asparagus. Not your typical steakhouse fare, the quality of the cut and its medium-rare preparation spoke volumes. Their attention to detail in plating, reminiscent of higher-end establishments..... At $28, there is GREAT value for such a satisfying meal. It's safe to say Darbys has earned a loyal patron. Here's to many more delightful experiences !! ( Cheers )

Yelp
This used to be a great food establishment. Our children request this place for their birthday celebration every year. I was sick most of the evening due to this food. Today my husband and I went for lunch. we ordered the Western ranch burger. The bacon was raw. They change the hamburger bun on it. It was literally dry and falling apart. It had no flavor. To top it off the quality and Meet has gone downhill. They change the french fries as well. They are thin and tasteless. I ordered the salted caramel bouzouki and it was tiny. They are charging the same amount of money for less food. Which is fine by me, but the quality of the food is trash. I will not be returning to this place. They lost my business for life. The waitress was very nice and friendly.

Yelp
Love the Micheladas and burgers from this place. The service is also good and all servers have been polite. I would recommend it.
google avatar

Yelp
Darbys is always a good spot to watch a game and grab a beer. Their Irish nachos are really good and they have a good selection of beers and mixed drinks. The service is always good and fast and the ambiance is a chill sports bar with good food. Pop in to grab a beer and watch a couple innings or a quarter.

Yelp
Went to Darby's for my birthday! Dinner was wonderful and our waitress Mya was great she really did make it a special night. We have been back a few times and were excited to see she was our waitress again. If you go to Darby's ask if you can sit in Mya's station it will be well worth it!

Yelp
Made a reservation here 2 weeks prior to hold a fantasy football draft. When we arrived we put the board up on the wall and the "owner rudely came over and demanded we remove the board. The board was a piece of paper rough 4' x 3'. I told him we made a reservation, he rudely DEMANDED we Take it down. I'm not sure if he was racial profiling us because the league consist of me (Hispanic male) my sons, my nephews and my sons friends. Some Hispanic some black, Its wild to think there is an issue with putting up a paper sheet that's 4'x 3' in a bar that plays sports all day. I will never go back and hope that people recognize the actions of this owner. My sons were extremely embarrassed and felt attacked

Yusur F.

Yelp
Ordered the spicy chili burger. It's incredible how they can make a burger that's both dry and oily at the same time. The patty was dry but oozed so much oil. No flavor in the patty. So mid. The pretzel is the only thing I recommend.
google avatar

Stephen A.

Yelp
Great food, great atmosphere! Service was fast and attentive. Beer selection was excellent. I would highly recommend Darby's as a stop if you are looking for great spot in Redlands.
google avatar

Irene N.

Yelp
the food was so delicious i got the bbq ribs with mashed potatoes and coleslaw and it was a 9.5/10 for me. I'm not a bid fan of coleslaw but the one i got tasted so good, mashed potatoes yummm and the ribs just fell off the bone only thing is that i got some hard pieces (from the bone im guessing). Our waiter was so welcoming to us, checked up on our table every time she passed by 10/10 service. The vibe was amazing too, everyone was chill, not loud, good vibes i loved it.

Christina P.

Yelp
It's always a good time here, staff is super friendly. We sat at bar had a few beers and order shrimp tacos but they brought out fish ones. The bartender made it right and let us keep the fish ones to try them out. The fish was good but those shrimp tacos were probably the best shrimp tacos we have ever had!!! Definitely will be getting them again.
google avatar

Richard B.

Yelp
Packed out bar is the first sign this is a popular locals hangout. The service was awesome and the bar food is pretty basic. A solid three stars!
google avatar

Yelp
Service was fine Food, nothing to write home about Wine, not good Hubs had 805 Won't return

Yelp
So this is my wife's favorite spot to visit when we come to Redlands . Great vibe and atmosphere , servers and bartenders are always accommodating and the food is amazingly tasty and well portioned . This is also my diverted spot for lunch as I am in Redlands all week. Thank you for great tasting food and drinks !!!

Denise H.

Yelp
Food is always amazing. Kylie was our server and we couldn't ask for a better server! She was great! We love Darby's!
google avatar

Yelp
First time here and came in for lunch. As we came in we were greeted by a friendly hostess who seated us near the window. Kirsten was our waitress and gave us some great recommendations. My father had the pulled pork and I had the Larry's incredible beef. Both of the dishes were well portioned. Definitely worth the money. My sandwich was delicious, I had a side of onion ring they were cooked nicely. Kirsten was very attentive, and kept our drink full. I drink a lot so that is something that is important to me.
google avatar

Rita B.

Yelp
Came by for dinner last night 3-26-22 for dinner because our first choice had an hour wait. Darby's was able to seat us in about 15, just enough time for us to walk another block of the cute street. The hostess and our waitress were very friendly and efficient, great service. There was a good variety of beer on draft - I went with Racer 5. Everyone else got drinks. The micheladas were not good. The coconut margarita was good, not overwhelming coconut. The caramel apple was sweet and strong, likewise the pomegranate margarita, yummy. The food, however was just meh. My shrimp salad may have been good if it hadn't been drowning in dressing. The patty melt was ok, nothing special. I was surprised how small the chipotle steak burrito was - not sure how any adult gets full from one. It came with a handful of stale chips. Apparently, this is a spot for drinking and hanging out. The music was so loud - and so is the crowd. It was difficult at times to hear each other.

Dan H.

Yelp
This is a great restaurant ! And if you go try their chicken salad sandwich it's off the chart! But all of their food is fantastic
google avatar

Melinda C.

Yelp
Amazing food with a lot of choices! Our first time here, service was prompt and staff was very nice! Will definitely return to try other items on the menu!
google avatar

Sabrina O.

Yelp
Fun place to get a drink with friends! I also ordered their mango habanero wings during their happy hour and they were just okay! I think I would come back for just drinks next time.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
I really enjoy coming to Darby's. The staff are always so friendly when we're there. I also really like the food. The happy hour is also a great time to go!! $5 beers ?! Yes please. They also have so many tvs! Great place to watch sports

Anna B.

Yelp
Everything I've ordered off the menu has been very good. Presentation is always appetizing. The service has always been very good, no complaints at all. It is often hard to carry on a conversation. Don't expect quiet chit-chat - it's a loud and happy place, TV's, sports, beer and fun.
google avatar

Debbie S.

Yelp
Darby's is a great restaurant with great food. It's has seating all around the bar with lots of TV's around the restaurant. The seating surrounds the bar area which is in the middle of the restaurant. They also have an outdoor patio. Great location on State St and Orange St in downtown Redlands. Staff is friendly, I will be back soon.

Dan V.

Yelp
Warm beer. Tyson wings covered in ugly batter. We didn't stay any longer to torture ourselves. Check please!!!
google avatar

Michael T.

Yelp
Downtown Redlands on a Saturday afternoon gets stupid full. My buds wanted to get lunch so I tagged along. Almost every restaurant had a 45 minute wait. Thank goodness that wasn't the case at Darby's since there were openings at the bar. Located at a cherry spot on State St and Orange, I felt like Darby's is a sports bar that happens to serve food. Sports on all the TVs and an out of this world beer selection, this would be a great hangout. The ceilings are high and it's loud. My kind of place. They had Blind Pig by Russian River so I definitely started with that. I ordered the Chipotle Ranch Steak Burrito. It came out pretty quickly and it's definitely on the smaller side of the burrito scale. But the steak was tender and the taste was great. The bartenders were crazy busy but I felt they did a great job of taking care of everyone. There's a lot of options in Downtown Redlands. You could definitely do worse than Darby's. The food was good but the beer selection was better. The atmosphere was fun and if you like sports, this place is definitely for you. Recommended!
google avatar

Quinn C.

Yelp
It wasn't good. We ordered three appetizers and they were all disappointing. The worse one were the Buffalo eggrolls. Seemed like the chicken inside was canned. Second worse thing was the pretzel appetizer. It's served with watery "cheese" sauce and mustard. Veggie quesadilla was alright. My drink tasted like water. I didn't say anything because my husband would be embarrassed. We just probably won't return, even though the vibe is nice.

Yelp
This is my third time coming here now; I wanted to give it a fair chance before giving my review, as many of my friends and colleagues have recommended it to me and really enjoy it. I think the most accurate word to describe the food and the establishment in general would be "Mediocre" in every sense. Our party of 6 was seated immediately and the staff and servers were very friendly and patient, and that was the primary good thing about my experience. I ordered an on-menu whiskey based drink, the Cantina Basil and Rye, and it turned out pretty well but there wasn't much of it left when I ordered it without ice, showing that most of what you pay for with this drink is the ice.. As far as food, I ordered the Aha Ahi (I believe). It was a great concept and had more flavour than I expected though I still felt it was lacking in spice. All in all, I just don't see what others rave about. I think I would only return to this establishment if everything else in the vicinity was closed.
