To get there, step into Grey Witch’s fireplace and slip past the LED flames to a bizarro hunting lodge filled with animal bones, tarot designs, and dried bunches of wildflowers. Cocktails lean on herbaceous flavors and warming spices, which means drinks like the pleasantly spicy Midnight Masala with scotch, tobacco bitters, and golden milk. The drinks play well with the expansive tobacco selection, if you’re into that sort of thing. On your way out, swing by Grey Witch proper for Detroit-style pizza with crackly, caramelized edges. Hidden inside Grey Witch is a small world of mysterious potions and a tobacconist's delight! "Walk through the fire to join us" is not just a metaphor. Dark Arts is unseen and unknown to the naked eye. A wild and demented dimension to an otherwise playfully wicked atmosphere of Grey Witch. The tiny space seats, maybe... 20 guests at a time. I understand why the reservations are "highly recommended". A truly personalized cocktail experience, completely different than the menu of Grey Witch. It's also..... a pipe, pipe tobacco, cigar shop?! Curated by the owner, who is a tobacco pipe enthusiast. There are smoking nights and non-smoking nights to reserve. I visited on Pipe Club night (most Tuesdays) so it was a smoking night. Which for Pipe Club, reservations don't have to be made. It's first come first serve until at capacity. The smoke eaters are casino grade, so the earthy smells were such a vibe, the smoke wasn't an issue. A magical experience, without hesitation.... if you're wanting a creative cocktail and evening experience, visit Dart Arts.
