"Dark Horse Coffee Roasters has opened a new cafe in La Mesa, San Diego. It features a 500-square-foot space with a patio, following its success at North Park, Normal Heights, and Golden Hill locations. The cafe serves single-origin pour overs, cold brew on nitro, specialty drinks, Liege-style waffles, and vegan doughnuts. The company has expanded its roasting capacity with a 35 kilo Loring roaster and has partnered with Joyride Coffee Distributors for wider distribution. Future expansions include a new site in Koloa, Hawaii, and a presence in the SteelCraft food hall in Garden Grove, CA." - Candice Woo

Love their coffee! I’ve had their nitro cold brew a few times, as well as their espresso, cortado, and latte. Everything is always super delicious, well made, and worth checking out. Especially their cool hip courtyard space. Dog friendly too!

Highly suggested coffee destination for locals and tourist. Customer service is phenomenal. The employee was very friendly and kind with my son. Didn’t seem bothered by his questions. The coffee is unique and delicious. The drink selection is one of a kind.

We are son in to specialty coffee and this is one of our favorite little spots to stop… A lot of tables inside and outside for working space and just the coffee is AMAZING. We love flats and cortaditos which are not on the menu…

This place was recommended by a local friend of mine. The breakfast sandwich and donuts were delicious and the coffee - I got a black cold brew - was excellent. The staff was super nice and easy to chat with you and the vibes were super Cali chillin. Would definitely go back!

The Hot Matcha Latte was really good compared to a Starbucks matcha latte.. not really a coffee/tea person though so take that as you want. Access to inside and a lot of outdoor seating. Also access to a restroom.

Good nitro brew. Wish they had single origin coffee when we were there. Staff was a bit rude. Would recommend if you need coffee. Probably won’t be back but good coffee for a good price. They have donuts made daily if you are hungry.

One of the better coffees in San Diego. The coffee is really smooth. I am not a cold brew guy but I hear it is really good. Great staff. Not much seating in the location but there is some seating areas outside as well which is nice most of the year. Parking is s little tight but the coffee is worth it.

I love this shop! Great Doughnuts/treats & great coffee. Also.. amazing MERCH! I will admit that Coffee is always hit or miss, it's either amazing or okay but overall love this place & will always be one of my favorites. Buying Whole beans is always affordable here which is a plus.
