Best Atlanta Bars to Cry at | Eater Atlanta

"A Virginia Highland favorite for over 30 years, Dark Horse Tavern is divey, dark, and hosts live band karaoke; it's the kind of place where someone going through a breakup might hammer a sweet, fruity mixed drink (think Long Island–style) and end up crying and then going home with someone, which sometimes is all you need to snap out of it." - Allison Ramirez

Stopped for late lunch/early dinner on Friday of the Ryder Cup with my daughter and father. Bar was busy with patrons watching the match. Sat outside with my dog at one of the 3 outside tables. Seating was nice, especially with the dog because they have a barrier between the tables and the rest of the sidewalk. Had to go inside to order beer and food at first. Server did bring out the food and drinks after. I had the Prime Steakhouse Burger and the other 2 had the Juciy Lucy burger. All were order medium rare. The server came out and explained the 2 Juciy Lucy burgers needed to be cooked more than med rare to melt the cheese inside. All 3 burger came out on the well side of medium well...but they were great!(that's why I gave 5 stars for the food) Very juciy with awesome flavor. The server and some of the staff were very friendly and had to come out and say high to the dog. Bill came to $106 for the 3 burgers, 4 drafts (60 minute IPAs) and 2 High Noons. Will definitely go again next time I am in town.

Great spot to grab a beer and catch up with friends. There’s a large parking lot in the back, and the location is very accessible. I came here on a weekday for lunch and sat at the bar with a friend. The bartender was great—attentive but not overbearing. There was a solid selection of beers and a good variety on the food menu. I ordered the Juicy Lucy and clearly struggle with reading comprehension, because I completely missed the part where it said stuffed with cheese. I was definitely surprised when I bit into my burger and cheese spilled out the back—but I loved it. Great pub food all around.

We had our 10 year high school reunion at Dark Horse, and it was a great experience! The food is very good, our waitress Morgan was great and attentive, and Genevieve helped us plan the whole event and bartended for us. Genevieve was super responsive and flexible throughout the whole process. The prices for open bar/food are also super reasonable. I recommend Dark Horse to anyone for a larger event.

Held out son’s HS Graduation lunch party & it was perfect! Regina, Anna and Nick did an amazing job hosting our family. 10 out of 10 highly recommend Dark Horse for private events and especially book with Regina, Anna and Nick if you can. They were superb!

This place is a gem. Easily one of the best beer selections I’ve seen in Long Island. The food from IKE’s Burgers which is a food truck located in the back lot was insane. To start We order some chicken empanadas. I’m a sucker for corned beef so when I saw a Reuben I had to order it and it was exactly what I was looking for. We also order a chic-Phil-a with buttermilk fried chicken pickles onions and homemade chic filet sauce. Next level!!!! You could see everything is made fresh to order and homemade. The whole old school tavern vibe and the delicious food makes this a hidden gem. If I lived closer I’d be there multiple times a week

First time here, only because we had a gift card. We walked in & there was 1 waitress/bartender & legit not a soul in there. It was about 2:40-45. She nicely tells us they’re still serving breakfast but if we really want lunch she can try to “convince” the chef to start the lunch menu. Unless they were expecting an influx of patrons at 2:59 who want pancakes, I think it was safe to start serving lunch…we at least look at the brunch menu (on Instagram because we’re informed the menus didn’t print in time for the holiday weekend) & it’s pure breakfast food so she hands us the late night snack menu. We order mozzarella sticks & wait for 3:00 to order lunch. I got the California wrap but asked for the dressing on the side. My husband got the Santa Fe sandwich. Mine comes with dressing on it, of course, so I give it a try anyway but it’s spicy as hell, I couldn’t even eat it. My husband wasn’t enjoying his sandwich too much but we swapped anyway and it was a mess. The fries were so salty & soggy they were inedible. I almost wanted to send it back but I was afraid of the chef to be honest since for a measly 15 minutes we couldn’t order lunch. We took the half a wrap home but the to-go Tupperware we got didn’t even fit. I didn’t bother the waitress because through no fault of hers she was getting busy with people at the bar. When we left there was 1 other couple at another table. We knew we weren’t going to get a 5 star meal but still, a little pride in your food wouldn’t hurt. Won’t be going back.

Attended a 30th birthday party last weekend. Had a private room with our own bartender. Alex. He was amazing. Drinks were great and never kept us waiting. Super nice guy. The cocktail food we had was delicious. Genn, the manager, was the best. From the planning to the execution, she was on top of everything. Everyone had a great time. Would definitely be back for future parties.

Yelp
Came back from work to unwind n got charged $4 for a piece of fridge ice cube. (Not chiseled one). A total of $8 for 2 Jamesons on the rocks and they never said it would be an UPCHARGE for having ice (go figure). I had to ask if I'm seeing it right and they confirmed it. One and done experience and didn't even stay to order main dishes. By the way their fried pickles r saltier than the sea water!

Yelp
My husband and I went last night for drinks and they did not disappoint! I had the Fall Sangria (I switched out the cabernet for pinot noir and it was delicious) and my husband had the Flannel shirt cocktail. We both enjoyed our drinks and will definitely be back!

Yelp
Went out with my friends and my sister tonight. One of my friends went to talk to a woman in the bar, and a security guard who was apparently to in a relationship with the woman threatened to "beat the shit out of him" and kick him out of the bar. I understand if they are in a relationship, but we aren't in HS. Completely inappropriate in my opinion. Will not be visiting this bar again.

Yelp
We decided to hang out here after getting out of work in Melville, we all work pretty late hours so we arrived around midnight on a Thursday night. It was suprisingly pretty busy for a Thursday. The crowd I'm guessing were college kids looking to hang out. They had a great variety of beer options on tap as well as a cocktail menu. My friend got the summer in Brooklyn beer, and I asked the bartender to make me a mocktail. He gave ne some options, but I wasnt familiar with the drink names. So he just fixed me up whatever he thought would be good. It was amazing. I think it was like a lime mojito kind of drink. I noticed you could also still order food around 1am, I'm not sure when they close their kitchen. We also noticed they have a jukebox which we could connect to through an app on our phone. We had lots of fun with that. Around 2:30pm they started to close their main dining room. So they told us to kindly move to a different location within the bar. They had a larger area in the back outside to accommodate us, as well as the main bar area. I was tired and went home around 3am. They are open until 4am, so it's a great late night spot to hang out!

Yelp
My friend and I ordered food from Dark Horse Tavern while we were at Lithology Brewing Co. They are 0.1 mile away from each other, so not far at all. We shared the fried pickles, cornmeal batter, and I had the tavern burger. It was 8oz Sirloin, Cheddar, Dark Horse Special Sauce, English Muffin. I liked how it came on an English muffin instead of a regular bun and that you can choose it to come with tater tots. The burger was juicy and a good portion. The tater tots were crispy. Definitely filling and good food.

Yelp
Southern fried chicken smothered with some kind of gook was shockingly terrible. The smashed potatoes were just as bad. How I wish I had gone to KFC. I won't be back

Yelp
I'm disappointed in myself for not taking photos of the food. My wife and I met up with my best friend and my brother and we decided to have lunch here and in all honesty we were not disappointed the sample platter shareable plate was delicious and our burgers were great but could have been slightly more proportioned to the bun.

Yelp
I do not recommend that anyone go to this establishment because this place has a serious customer relations problem. On Wednesday, March 17, 2021 I went to the Dark Horse with my housemate, where an incident occurred with one of the bouncers on duty. This bouncer was very aggressive, condescending, and rude. I was humiliated and embarrassed in front of forty other customers in this room. Because I found the incident to be incredibly unprofessional, I wrote the following email to the establishment as soon as I got home that night. I have attached the March 17, 2021 email as a photo to this post. I did not hear a response. On Friday March 19, 2021, I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager on duty. I told him there was an incident with the bouncer and asked whether they read the email I sent. The manager denied ever reading the email and said all email correspondences would go to his co-manager. I left my name and my telephone number. They said that someone would get back to me. No one ever called me or followed up. On Wednesday, March 24, 2021, I sent a final courtesy email to the establishment. I wanted to discuss this matter in private, I asked for an investigation into the bouncer's conduct and wanted an update from the restaurant by Friday, March 26, 2021 the end of business. I have attached the March 24, 2021 courtesy email to this posting. I never heard from the restaurant. No one ever responded to either of my emails or my March 19, 2021 phone call. Through its silence and its inaction, what this tells me is that the restaurant believes it is acceptable for their staff to emotionally abuse its customers. The restaurant believes it is acceptable for its bouncers to abuse their authority towards its customers. The restaurant believes it is acceptable for its bouncers to bully others. This is not acceptable conduct whatsoever for any business. This place used to be my favorite spot in Farmingdale. I never cry, but on March 25, 2021, over one week after I attended the restaurant, I broke down in tears as I recalled how I was humiliated and embarrassed by this bouncer and how my complaints were completely ignored by management. I went to the Dark Horse many times in the past, but because management completely ignored a legitimate complaint, because management did not feel it necessary to respond to me at all and because of the way I was treated while at the establishment, I will never return. They don't care whatsoever about their customers. There are plenty of other places in Farmingdale and on Long Island. I do not recommend this place. Please avoid it so you don't have the same awful, nightmarish experience I did.

Yelp
I work locally and have had lunch a number of times @ Dark Horse Farmingdale. The dark atmosphere fits the name well and the autographed George R. R. Martin photograph seems perfectly placed above the Irish Whisky selection to the left of the bar. The signature pub menu doesn't disappoint & the Guinness pours and tastes right on every time. P.S. Like Tator Tots? Order a side of the Cajun tots. You won't be disappointed. 7 blessings.

Yelp
Dark Horse has been around almost a decade and is a favorite for many to visit. I've been there many times. The food is fantastic and the bar is well decorated. The bartenders are very friendly and nice. Lots of room. Being a popular bar in a college town comes with some cons tho. It can get very overcrowded late at night. Sometimes the bar is too full, and too drunk, creating a somewhat uneasy environment where people get too rowdy, and bouncers and security are often on edge. On the worst nights, I've seen a person dragged out aggressively by security. Because of this I would be mindful of the time you choose to visit. It kind of has the reputation as "that bar" if you want to go get wasted.

Yelp
Came here with my friends for Monday night trivia night. It was very fun and the guy running the place was probably why the night was entertaining. You could tell he really loved his job. We split the Proper Nachos and honestly it was pretty subpar. Nothing too crazy to rave about, it was your basic nachos with a bunch of soggy chips at the bottom. For drinks we got the vodka lemonades and it came in two flavors, i think they were raspberry and blueberry. They were very sweet. All in all, we enjoyed our evening. If we come here again, I would probably order a different appetizer to split.

Yelp
I usually frequent this bar at night. I love coming here in the evenings for nightlife so my boyfriend and I decided to grab lunch one afternoon. The bartender took our order and let us sit outside by the back bar. I drank the ACE pumpkin cider. I also ordered the medium wings and the fries. Everything was delicious and the bartender was really nice. Totally down to try more food next time! Update: Every time I come here for food I am pleasantly impressed, hands down. If you're looking for a quick casual bite to eat this is the place to go.

Yelp
Best late night drinking spot in rvc. Lots of drinks, fun crowd, give it a shot! Plenty of food for late night drinking munchies.

Yelp
Un Fucking believable, I ask and John delivers. Every. Time. He don't miss. Egg white drink extra fluffy? No problem when Johns behind the bar. John for president!

Yelp
The place was clean and the drinks were okay. Only thing for me was there was a horrid smell when we walked in and the best way to describe it would be that it smelled like a toilet exploded. The bartender was nice as well but the smell really threw us off so we left as soon as we could.

Yelp
Terrible food, terrible service!! My husband and I walked on Main St looking for a good hangout for Friday evening. This place looked decent and so we walked in. There were a few tables filled, but not enough for the waiters to be busy enough to not greet the people coming in. Once we sat ourselves at the bar, we had to ask for the menu, tissues, and what's special, zero input or effort from the staff to make you feel at home. The waiter/waitresses were gathered in a group laughing and having a good ole time amongst themselves and their regular customers. The food was terrible, wings tasted like they were cooked from frozen, shrimp was too sour and the burger my husband had was tasteless. Avoid this place as there are enough better choices a few steps away!!

Yelp
I recently visited the Dark Horse Taverns location in Massapequa and came away with a totally different experience than my first encounter. The bartender was 100% on her game as was the food. In fact their 10 ounce sirloin burger was the best I have had at any eatery in this world or the next! Also, their Taco Tuesday $1 taco cannot be beat! This has become a regular weekly stop for me and my posse. Check it out, you won't be sorry!

Yelp
I can't speak to the staff, facilities etc as we've only done delivery, but the food here at dark horse has been nothing short of top notch every time. Steak tidbits, pulled pork sammy, juicy lucy & bulleit burger have all been super tasty, everything has been well put together and fresh on arrival. Also don't miss the onion rings, truly outstanding. Looking forward to many more meals from these guys & hoping to drop in real soon

Yelp
I've been here several times over the years !! The Burgers are amazing !! The Bar Tenders are extremely attentive as to what I like in a Beer and I live in Scottsdale AZ now LOL Can't say enough about this place !! A+

Yelp
What a great bar! Was such a fun pleasure to be able to explore this area and stumble on a cool spot. Service was friendly. Drinks were reasonably priced. Also great craft menu items. I like when bars put their own twist on simple menu items. They had a decent beer selection, bottles and draft. Open late daily which was helpful. Seemed like many of the bars in the area close a bit early on week nights.

Yelp
Surprisingly good! Honestly, we were planning to head to The Library Cafe... but at 4:30ish, the bar was already packed. Wandered across the street and found a couple of seats at the less than packed bar. Ordered a couple of Brooklyn Unfiltered Pilsners and checked out the menu. Decided on the brie stuffed pretzels as an appetizer. Yum! The fig dipping sauce was also delicious. Great start! If it's my first time at a tavern, I'm gonna judge it by the burger. I ordered my tavern burger medium-rare - and it arrived that way! On a english muffin... yum! The Mrs. got a grilled cheese with extra cheese. She loved it. We both got tater tots. Crispy... and not at all greasy. Perfect. Fancy? Far from it. Will we go again? Hell yea!

Yelp
Not a bad spot but the bouncers always look at you and give you a attitude like they think there so tough and shit

Brandon S.

Yelp
Was there last night not sure the name of our server but she went above and beyond to accommodate us. We happen to come from being at the beach and we had our dog so we ate outside. She was exceptionally on it. We had a bigger crew with most of them being kids but she took care of us and even made sure when one of the kids tried ordering a soda to check with mom if it was ok. Offered my dog a bowl of water and all. Give her raise for her pleasant and kindness and professionalism!! Food was great nice and hot with great flavor but all in all it was the server who made it simple and easy to enjoy a nice meal out side. Thanks again!

Yelp
First stop of the evening while in Farmingdale. The front bar area didn't have any seats but there was other seating tables available but then Jay. O spotted a back area with a bar area that was empty. The place was a lot bigger than I thought. I had a beer and it was on to next place. They have a food menu which I didn't take a look at. I definitely will be back. After making so many stops we parked near this place and at 3 a.m. as we headed back to the car to head to the villager this place was jammed packed!!!

Yelp
I've been to Dark Horse a number of times and have always been happy with the environment and service. On Sunday, 10/8, I had a completely different experience. I was with two other people and the bar was not crowded when we arrived. We quickly found seats and ordered drinks. The Moscow mule I ordered was missing the candied ginger they typically garnish the drink with and was really sweet. Hey, it happens. Each bartender adds his/her flair. I guess the other half a dozen times I've been to the bar, I've had bartenders who took pride in their craft. I didn't say anything, but I decided to switch to beer. I tasted a pumpkin beer and didn't care for it. I ordered the Shipyard pumpkin beer, and the bartender simply gave me what I tried and didn't like. It was obvious he couldn't be bothered. No big deal, my friend drinks that type, so he took mine, and I ordered the Shipyard. I was about three sips into my Shipyard when a loud voice shouted from behind me. "You gotta move down. Make room to accommodate other patrons." I was taken back, and I moved over as much I could. There were people sitting next to us who had left their drinks (perhaps in the bathroom or smoking). There wasn't much we could really move. It's not a big space. I looked at my friends, incredulous. It was the bartender who had come from behind the bar to yell at us to move over from behind us. So strange. It was at this point, we decided to close out. The vibe felt hostile. Little did we know, it was about to get worse. The bartender who had come from around the bar didn't like the tone in which we asked to close out. I believe we said "we're done here. That was uncalled for." He decided to pour out my friend's full beer. He said, "And you're going to pay for it." My friend was obviously agitated. To calm him, I reminded him that the pen is mightier than the sword. The bartender said, "You can go ahead and Yelp me." I asked for his name. He said it was Rob M. (I will not publish his last name in case he gave me someone else's). He was laughing and even making fun of us to other patrons. However, I guess my request for his name was enough of a reason for Rob to call the bouncer-- despite the fact that we paid the check and tipped (in case they pool their tips). The bouncer, I wish I had gotten his name, was a true gentleman. He was perplexed as to what was going on, but had a job to do. We are all professionals older than the college crowd. We know how the world works and what's important. We left because quite simply, we know it's never worth fighting with the Robs of the world. We also know how things typically work in the service industry. The patrons who were next to us could have asked us to move. Rob, standing from behind the bar, could have asked us to move. Neither of those things would have been unusual. It is clear after reading some of these other reviews where patrons were mistreated by a person fitting Rob's description, that something is amiss. It is only a matter of time before Rob picks a fight with a crew happy to oblige him. I just hope the owner/manager works to retrain his/her staff before that happens. Bottom line: The Dark Horse is a great bar if the right staff is on duty. If you decide to go, just be aware.

Yelp
8.6.17. Dark Horse Tavern. Main Street, Farmingdale, NY. Hi Everyone and thank you for reading my review. I stopped Into the Dark Horse Tavern yesterday, as I have had this location Yelp book marked. At 5 p.m. Saturday afternoon the place was nearly empty, but that's okay. There were a couple of other patrons at the bar and a nice couple at the table with their dog. I was really happy to find one of my favorite Brews, Shock Top on tap here. Shock Top on tap is a plus for me. The glasses were frosted cold and went great with the tap beer. I decided to take advantage of their incredibly well-priced special of the Big Pub burger and a beer for just 10 bucks. I asked my barmaid, who was very lovely about some of the appetizer specials and followed her recommendations. The habanero Wings could have been a little bit more well done and could have had more flavor. The shrimp was good but I don't really like that infused mayonnaise sauce on the top, that all the fusion places use these days. The "Best" was the cheddar stuffed Pub burger with cheese on the inside made me so full couldn't finish it. I wanted dessert even though I was full but they don't offer any desserts, here not even a one. I guess that's what Vespa across the street is for! From what I am understanding this bar is frequented by a younger rowdy bunch patrons at night. I will stop back again at night and keep you folks posted. In all I had a very pleasant experience in the afternoon here on Sunny Main Street in Farmingdale. JIM D.

Yelp
I've walked by the Dark Horse in Rockville Centre *many* times. So, wouldn't it figure the first one I enter is 30 minutes away in Farmingdale. We stopped in here after dinner one night. It was nice. There wasn't a long wait at the bar for a drink and the bartenders were friendly. It wasn't terribly crowded for a Saturday night (despite being somewhat on the smaller side). In sum, the atmosphere was lively, fun, and we enjoyed ourselves. I saw there were a few table tops for food, but we weren't going to be sampling any fare during this visit. Our stay was pretty brief, but this seems like a nice spot to grab a beer and watch the game - which seems to be pretty common for this area in Farmingdale.

David R.

Yelp
Food is good considering how late they serve (kitchen is open until 2am most nights). Bartenders are friendly and might even give you a free shot if they like you - lol.

Yelp
Offends my olfactory. Delouse or look to mass pk location on how aromatic the possibilities are.

Yelp
Here's what's impressive about this place: on a Tuesday night, the bar was packed - not a seat to be had, lots of bodies enjoying themselves, so major props to the team at Dark Horse for bringing out a crowd on an off night. I have to say, however, in pure constructive criticism, that the bar smelled like a pet shop - you know the smell I mean, I really don't want to go into detail, it was unfortunate and honestly so foul we only stayed for one round. I am shocked no one else picked up on it aside from our group of 8 friends. In addition, it took quite a while to be acknowledged by the bartender - I understand things get busy sometimes, but at least look up at who is at your bar, and let them know you see them and will be with them shortly - when a group of 8 has to wait for 10 minutes just to make eye contact with a bartender, there's an issue. Now perhaps the size of the crowd caught dark horse off guard, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, and I'll give them another try in the future, let's hope the place gets aerated before then.

Yelp
Been here a billion times I work in the area and it's my fav place to go afterwork. Staff cool as hell, food good, women good, mad TVs, nice smoke section, patio wit the benches fire, beer good, and the women good..wait... nvm. Now I'm just sayin this cause I think this is funny.. the ONE time I consciously note that imma take a pic of my food and review the horse right... I ask my guy behind the bar for a burger wit loaded fries he's like "loaded fries wit the cheese right?" I go "and bacon". We proceed to head Nod each other and drift back into our seperate existences. 10-15 mins or so later, he brings the burger over to me and after he walks away.. I realize my fries have JUST bacon on em . How in the hell lol. I'm assuming he thought I said just bacon (it was pretty loud). But son, crumpled up bacon on a fry don't work, it'll just fall off. (Stay wit me here) You know like them floatation devices ppl use in pools shaped like a big noodle? And when a person puts that noodle on their crotch in the pool so the ends of said noodle stick up? Now Imagine that person is a bacon bit, and that floatation device is a fry...THATS how I was tryna pick my sh** up to get some bacon in the equation lmao. 5 horses doe

Yelp
I will NEVER eat their food again. $29.00 for an order of 12 wings and one All day Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a roll. Enough said!

Yelp
Following my pre Sunday game ritual at the MetLife Stadium, I needed to take my brother out to eat. I've heard plenty of good things about "Dark Horse Tavern" so I definitely had to check it out. When I got there I noticed it was a small tight knit community the bar was around. It's a corner location and is easy to find because of the dark outer exterior. It was a perfect day to come and see the bar alive with both roll up garage gates open. Once inside I noticed a small crowd inside. Giving the place a look over I loved the hard wood floors, the many TV's for football and the brick back wall. The waitress showed us to our seats and was very cheery. She got us water and placed them on the table, but her level of attentiveness wasn't what I expected. She made a few small mistakes and spilled a drink on a neighboring patron 10 minutes into my visit. I was impressed because it didn't faze her. She quickly cleaned it up and kept going. I had to get her attention a few times to place my order, but It's not a big place so it wasn't such a hassle. Once the food was ordered it came out quick. I loved the coconut shrimp. The wings were good, but not amazing. I also loved the Cajun Tots. The crown jewel of the place was the Chicago burger. It was a special of the day so I was curious. Two sausages with a burger right between them, could that spell manic? The answer, Yes! It was outstanding. It was a true masterpiece, I can't express that anymore. This place deserves 5 stars, but I can't ignore spotty service. I will be back definitely, The food won my heart. I only hope the Giants can do the same tomorrow.....

Yelp
Went here last night for thursday happy hour.... Service was awesome! Ordered the nachos and the wings...wings were amazing....I usually like crispy wings but these wings were falling off the bone soft (not soggy, white chicken) and the waitress went over all the sauces w us.....Nachos were decent.....many beers on that....definetly less expensive than croxleys.......my favorite part was the mini beer garden w the outside bar.....Modern jukebox is a super bonus..definetly will be a regular here

Yelp
We dropped in for a couple of beers and went the bar in the back. They place is cool and the bar keeps are friendly. They had a DJ and the crowd was vibrant. I will be back to try some of the grub.

Yelp
Food wasn't bad it was your typical bar food. But the tacos came out cold. Service wasn't great, they tried to pull together a conversation but seemed like they didn't want any part of it.

Yelp
Dark Horse has quickly made a great reputation in my mind, and a nice imprint on the Farmingdale bar scene. It is never super crowded for some reason, which I will not question. There's always space to breathe and enjoy Dark Horse's house beer, which I definitely recommend if you've never tried it. They always have a good selection of other craft and major brewery beers that rotates pretty frequently. The backyard patio area is always warm and nice, and it has a separate bar. The outdoor area is my favorite place to be there. It's small but effective. They have an awning and a heater and that's all you need.

Yelp
Always been a to go to until this new security guard started to work about not more than a year ago The old buff guy always been very nice always understood a new guy in his early 30's started working there he always been an asshole my friend that been going there for years one day he forgot his ID (when he Always ID everyone one and he was stupid enough to let me in with my fake) and said no you can't go in. Today I was there with my sister and my girlfriend and she accidentally touch someone she said sorry and he said it's okay and than his drunk girlfriend tried to fight my sister I asked what was going on her gay friend stated to yelled at me I started to yell back and someone out of no where pushed me and they pushed my sister I tried to get up but security was already dragging me out the bar they threw me out and the young guy punched me in the face and ripped my eyebrow apart the called the police and he was scared I was going to say something that's when the short buff guy told him don't worry this happens always the time just tell them they were to drunk and they started everything just to cover them self just had a worse night at this place with security. Never coming back to this place even though they were nice enough to let me go in with my fake ID for more than two years...

Yelp
The bartenders Joe and Ryan were great!!! Busy night cinco de Mayo but they were so attentive, quick and so friendly!! The sangria Joe made was terrific. He checked on us to make sure we were happy and they both chatted when they had a minute. Highly recommend this bar. Great friendly and safe atmosphere. Highly recommend. Will be back soon.

Yelp
Horrible service.. we ordered drinks and food.. waited over an hour and a half for food.. approached the server .. re-entered our food order .. another hour later still no food... left without any food. Will not be returning . Save your self time and energy - go to Croxley up the street . Much better service and atmosphere .

Yelp
Food is okay and they're open late but the security is absolutely ridiculous and makes it not worth going. I was there with my girlfriend and there was a fire alarm so they made us go out the back. When it came time to go back in they let everyone else in the back except us. We had to walk around 2 blocks in the rain. When we tried to go in the FRONT to settle our bill the pudgy bouncer in the front said we couldn't come in because they were closed. We showed him our copper cup from the restaurant and he still didn't believe we were in there. Mind you, we were just trying to settle our bill. I tried to explain that they wouldn't let us in the back and he said "they let everyone back in the back". I said "why would we lie about something like that" and he said "I'll smack the shit out of you". It was completely unprovoked and extremely unprofessional. I will not be back.

Yelp
The food here is really good and the waitresses are super friendly. We go as a family during the week and have always had a great meal that tastes great. They have daily specials too. We love the Irish nachos and and tacos here.

Yelp
service at the bar was awfulllll here i went to 4 different bars last night and was served a drink within 10-15 minutes max and this place literally took almost a half hour to get my order they didn't even get an order from me because at that point i was very annoyed so i left and went to nutty and i got a drink immediately when i got there so anyway.... it's kinda cool tho because there's a girl that looks like lady gaga that worked at the bar last night and she said i was like the 6th person who told her that lol

Yelp
Would have had a decent experience if it weren't for the arrogant, self absorbed security staff. I have never encountered such rude people in my entire life and I hope to never have to encounter that ever again. Will not be coming back to this establishment and will let everyone know not to come to this bar until their"security" is trained in some manners

Yelp
I've been to this bar multiple times to eat and drink. My previous visits were subpar, the food isn't good but its a good spot to watch the games on. My experience was ruined yesterday and I won't be going back. Yesterday was the music on main event and since it started to rain me and a bunch of my friends decided to go in the bar. At around 8pm after a couple of drinks we called an uber and headed to the front to wait for it since it was downpouring out. One of the bouncers, who has a severe power trip and apparent roid rage, screamed at me and my girlfriend saying we weren't allowed to stand near the door waiting. I moved to the side and told him he didn't have to yell. That hit a nerve with him, he came over and physically grabbed me and tossed me outside in the pouring rain and told me to get the f--- out and to have fun waiting in the rain as he walked back to his bouncer buddies laughing. It's unnecessary stuff like that that gives this place a bad name. For a bar competing for business with the other bars on main street, you would think they would want it to be a more welcoming spot, instead of one that where you have to feel threatened by the employees. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Yelp
I come in and ask if they have a table available or I can put my name down, and the guy says let me find out. He was aware that I had 3 coming but I went in alone. He leaves and an ugly short man with his mask down comes and says they are clearing a table, and tells the other people behind me that they are at capacity. I tell him ok I have three coming, they are 5 min away let me text them. Then he starts SCREAMING at me telling me he just turned away a table, and runs out to find the other people and give them my table. I can't believe someone can be so bad at their job and rude to people. I hope he goes to anger management or finds god or something. I've been to the rvc location too and it sucked. DO NOT COME HERE.
