Yummy food, perfect lunch portion. They were kind enough to substitute edamame out for more of the other items since I have an allergy. Cute outdoor seating area for people watching and good music :)

Went on a Sunday evening around 6pm. Sawtelle area was busy so took a bit to find parking. I placed my order at the Kiosk (easy to use). I ordered the Bento Box. Served with Karaage fried chicken, Japanese potato salad, edamame, tamago (sweet egg omelet) and I chose the Lemon Salmon Roll. It was flavorful and I enjoyed it. Would definitely stop by again to try their other items.

Delicious crab roll. I got the bento box perfect amount for 1 person. I would come back and recommend to friends.

Hidden gem in Sawtelle. I got the bento box and the sushi roll was a standout, I loved the combination of eel and crab (a must try), and one of the better ones I’ve had in sawtelle area and that’s saying a lot. The egg thing was sweet and soft. The kids loved the fried chicken, crispy outside and juicy inside. My wife also got the bento and loved it too. The owner is like a third gen restaurant owner from Japan or something, and you can tell by the quality of the food. Highly recommend.

Easy 5 star. $14 for a spicy tuna roll bento with karaage? Amazing. Great quality, too!!

A new venture by the owners of Anzu and Menya Tigre, this spot specializes in sushi roll bentos. It's in the same spot that Anzu was (I believe Anzu is currently operating out of Menya Tigre), which is a little takeout window and two counters and chairs on a corner next to Sawtelle. You order off a tablet, and they bring your order out to you after it's done. I opted the spicy tuna roll bento, which comes with 8 pieces of the roll, potato salad, a piece of tamago, edamame, some karaage, and a bit of salad. The first thing I must say is, the sushi roll is pretty packed with the actual tuna. I was surprised when I picked one up and it was actually a big layer of tuna instead of a bit of tuna surrounded by veggies. It's very high quality too, definitely one of the better rolls I've had. In fact, everything in the bento was just very high quality, especially the karaage (of course, thanks Anzu) and the potato salad was also delicious. At $14, it's hard to beat this in terms of quality for price. Solid spot for a quick casual lunch, dine-in or to go.

The sushi is fresh and good for a casual take-out restaurant. Order online or on the tablet outside. There are a few seats outside for bar seating, but it's primarily a take-out joint. I got the Daruma bento box - starts at $14 (additional fee depending on the sushi roll that you select). Comes with 3 pieces of karaage, small green salad, potato salad, edamame, tamago, and shishito peppers. I picked the lemon salmon roll (extra $4.50) for my roll. The lemon salmon roll was delicious! I would probably skip the bento and just get the roll next time. Hubby got the eel bowl ($16.50), which he liked. Good amount of food. We walked up and ordered on the tablet, and there was a bit of a wait for our order, ~20min, and it wasn't busy. I'd recommend ordering ahead so you don't have to wait. Small free parking in the back.

Best sushi value in LA period. Prices are reasonable, with their flagship Lemon Salmon Roll being 12.50 in 2025, reasonable price while being extremely delicious. The crab roll is fresh too. This is my goto for any sushi craving and with the prices there's no guilt for ordering frequently. However, This is a literal hole in the wall. Despite amazing sushi it's not really a place to dine in, there's no service. It's strictly pick up and go. But goddamn the quality of sushi here beats the myriad of dine-in places. 5/5 S+

Located in a Sawtelle, a bit on the edge of all the restaurants. It's on Sawtelle Blvd & La Grange. It's more of a fast causal or takeout spot and there's limited seating with about eight stools. My friend and I both got the bento which comes with a roll of your choice, little bit of salad salad, edamame, shishito peppers, kaarage chicken, and Japanese mashed potatoes. Decently priced and fair portions, especially if you want a little bit of it all. They have a variety of roll selections, I tried the lemon salmon roll which was fresh and yummy. We also got one order of the crispy tuna rice which was tasty. The staff are quite friendly and our food came out fairly quickly! There is small parking lot in the back which is convenient but if not there's also street meter parking options.

This place is located on Sawtelle boulevard and I think is a MUCH better spot than any other sushi spot on this busy street. It's also a great alternative to Nijiya if you want something a bit fresher for not too much of a price difference. Sushi was made fresh (so be prepared for a 15ish minute wait). Karaage was flavorful and juicy. The bento had so much: roll, karaage, salad, edamame, shishito peppers, and Japanese mashed potatoes. My albacore bento was $18, and our snow crab bento was $15. This is a fast casual spot. There is about 8 seats outside.

My friend and I ordered in from Daruma last night and WOW. Truly some of the best sushi delivery I've had! We ordered a bunch of the hand rolls, the albacore roll, the spicy tuna crispy rice, and the spicy edamame. Everything was seriously amazing, but I especially loved the shrimp tempura hand roll and the salmon hand roll. The way the food comes is also soooo well done. The hand rolls come in a little wrapper so that the seaweed is not touching the inside of the roll. You remove the wrapper yourself and wrap the filling. It makes it so the roll isn't soggy and is super fresh! The albacore roll was also delicious and had such yummy crispy onions on top. Can't wait this a staple!!!

TBH, it's some of the best sushi you can get for its price in Sawtelle. I've eaten here several times since they first opened, but I keep forgetting to take photos for a review because I want to eat !! Highly recommend their rolls, but their other options like karaage or the poke bowl are delicious. Everything seems to be made with great care.

I ordered pick up and got the lemon salmon roll, the tuna fire roll and the sunomono. Overall for the price I think this place is a solid value! The fish was fresh and the flavor balance was good. The portion of fish was slightly less than what I've gotten at other sushi places but it balances out price wise imo.

I was looking for a quick and delicious spot for my work break. Tried this bento and sushi roll spot for lunch. The spot is at the old Anzu location in Sawtelle. I ordered the spicy tuna roll bento box, which came with edamame, spicy mashed potatoes, shishito peppers, chicken karaage, and salad. While the portions for the sides were on the smaller side, the roll itself had 8 pieces and was delicious. Everything was packed with flavor, the shishito peppers had a nice kick and great taste, the chicken karaage was juicy and well-seasoned, and the roll was fresh and satisfying. You can definitely tell they use quality ingredients. I ate my meal in their cozy patio area. A great spot for a flavorful and well-balanced meal.

This place is a great place for a quick kind of sushi bento box. They have a decent selection of rolls and hand rolls to pair with their karaage and potato salad that came in a combo. Also, had to try the spicy tuna rice cakes and they got an A in my book.. This is more of a takeout kind of place than sit down. So if you're looking for a a nice sushi box to eat at home in front of your favorite show or movie try this place out.

The food was sooo good and service was very friendly! We ordered the bento box, crispy rice w/ spicy tuna, and the poke bowl + peach oolong tea and everything was delicious!! Pretty sure they're a new small business so definitely coming back to try something else :) Good prices too!

The food at Liv My Pome is consistently the best! I make a point to have a poke bowl from here every week. Delicious! And I hear some customers calling it the best in town

Quick, easy pickup for a nice little meal! Got the unagi roll bento and it came with delicious karaage and a bit of salad, mashed potato, tamago, and edamame. Perfect portion size for dinner if you're not too hungry or getting dessert after.

Lovely little spot away from all the hustle and bustle of Sawtelle. The food is high quality for a good price. The staff were also incredibly nice.

Amazing place! Great service, extremely friendly and nice staff, food was so good I can't believe how cheap it is and quality. I was almost skeptical of the price because it's 12-14 dollars for a really good roll. The salmon lemon and the tuna fire were my favorite. Spicy tuna on crispy rice was really solid too. 100% coming back

This is my favorite place in sawtelle now! The food is very high quality for the price. I tried the bento box and some of the rolls and they tasted soooo good! The bento especially was arranged so nicely and had a lot of side dishes. Loved the attention to detail. Not exaggerating when I say this place should get Michelin stars
