Sanjh in DFW’s New Executive Chef | Eater Dallas

"An award-winning restaurant in India whose original location is purported to be the place that invented butter chicken; the chef worked there earlier in his career and credits that background with shaping his approach to butter chicken and other classic dishes, favoring a coarser, less sweet preparation and foundational techniques carried into his current kitchen." - Courtney E. Smith

The food was amazing. Ive been living in qatar and never have i tasted such good version of the Buttered Chicken! I apreciate the spices used because it was so subtle and is blending with the Nan. Overall. I can say this indeed was the best part of my Trip to new Delhi.

Very nice place with tasty food, but I don’t think this is the best butter chicken I’ve had or will have. Don’t get me wrong, the food is outstanding and flavourful, but I feel like this place now lives on from it’s name rather than how good the food actually is. Nevertheless the service is excellent, very friendly waiters and you know you’ll consistently get good quality food if you come here.

I visited the new branch of Daryaganj Restaurant in Connaught Place recently, and I must say it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I had heard a lot about their original restaurant, so I was really excited to try this new location. But from the moment we entered, things started going downhill. First of all, the staff was completely unprofessional. We had to wait for almost 15 minutes before someone even came to take our order. When we asked for water, they ignored us for a long time and didn’t seem interested in helping. The service was extremely slow and careless. No one smiled, no one checked on our table, and we felt completely ignored throughout the meal. Now coming to the food – it was just pathetic. We ordered a few North Indian dishes and some starters, and nothing tasted good. The dal was too salty, the starters were cold and oily, and the naan was hard like rubber. It honestly felt like the food had been reheated instead of freshly prepared. There was no flavour, no freshness, and nothing worth remembering. Even the presentation was poor. The plates were dirty, and the food looked unappetizing. We had changed glasses of water thrice to get a clean glass For the prices they are charging, the quality was absolutely unacceptable. The ambience was also loud and chaotic. It didn’t feel like a premium dining experience at all. We left the restaurant feeling cheated and completely unsatisfied. I had expected much better from such a well-known brand, but this new branch in Connaught Place is a big letdown. I will not be visiting again, and I do not recommend it to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere else where they actually care about food and customers.

The butter chicken was good. The mocktails are also yummy. But the place is too tiny, and often has a wait of about 30-45 mins. Get ready to feel cramped.

Onions peels in salad, half cooked breads, inconsistent taste and unclean washroom. The Daryaganj experience I had. Never coming back.

It was just okay okay experience there. Food was fine, I have tried better dal makhani. Butter chicken was good and the quantity is enough for 2 people. Butter Naan and thandai were very good. Service was very slow but they charge a big amount as service charges and wait time to get a table is around 1 hour at lunch time.

Great place to have some authentic non veg. Simply loved it. Seating might be bit issue, you might need to wait. Loved the chicken pakora and butter chicken. Service is prompt. Best part food is good in taste and not that spicy, you won’t feel bulky after eating. Overall a great experience, they have valet parking too.
