"Built in 1856, this charming timber house with three dining areas is a really pleasant alternative to the other restaurants run by the Bolkart-Fetz family in Oberstdorf. Only ingredients sourced from within Germany – and preferably from the region – go into the dishes on the traditional menu, including some excellent game options. As well as the three- or four-course "Prinzregentenmenü", there is a range of à la carte dishes to choose from. Very nice selection of wines. Head for the lovely beer garden shaded by chestnut trees." - Michelin Inspector

The food was delicious; the side dishes were also thought through, when you combine everything in your mouth, the result was satisfiying. Since you are here, I would recommend the deer. The service was very friendly. The dishes were expensive then usual but it was woth it.

The restaurant proposes regional food, and we focussed our choices on the game menu. The deer ragout and deer medallions were delicious, and so was the roe. The service was friendly, fast and efficient. One of the best food experiences in Obertsdorf.

Great food in a great atmosphere. The prices might seem a bit high, but the portions are generous and the quality is outstanding. Only German ingredients are used, so expect some unusual flavours - to be honest though, I've never had a better schnitzel than the one I had here!

Delicious food and great service. Our family enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant and the exceptionally friendly staff. The beer was wonderful and the medallions were cooked beautifully. Our kids really liked the schnitzel. Highly recommend.
