"This small restaurant comprising six tables is housed in what used to be a coffee house – the sign outside simply reads "K". They serve a six-course set menu made using seasonal ingredients, into which chef Daniel Horner (previously sous-chef at Japanese restaurant Mochi) cleverly incorporates the odd subtle Asian flavour. Sommelier Vanessa Schober will be happy to recommend Austrian wines to accompany your meal. Non-alcoholic tea accompaniment is also possible. The chic and modern interior successfully combines a certain industrial style with a dash of retro flair. There is a pavement terrace in summer. You can also take in temporary art exhibitions here – the proprietor owns a gallery." - Michelin Inspector

This was easily one of the best culinary experiences of my life. The restaurant has everything you could want: outstanding food, a beautiful ambiance, and genuinely warm service. They offer a 3- or 6-course menu that changes every six weeks, and each dish somehow managed to top the last. Chefs Daniel and Lucas personally presented the courses at our table, adding a special touch to the experience. Vanessa, our host, made us feel completely at home — attentive, welcoming, and full of energy. The dishes are not only delicious but also stunningly presented (just look at the pictures). Absolutely a must-visit — my highest recommendation. Ps. Ice cubes are so pretty 😍

We ate at das kraus for our first-ever meal in Vienna on Friday, May 23rd, and could not have had a better experience. The food was outstanding, the drinks were outstanding, and the chef was a super cool guy who came out and explained every dish. Some highlights: • The trout crudo on toast • The homemade bread with whipped butter and shaved lard • The pickled kohlrabi salad • Beef w/ rhubarb & radicchio The best part of the meal, however, was that the chef made us palatschinken – an Austrian apricot pancake not even on the menu – to ensure we were properly welcomed to his country with a local classic, and it was one of the best desserts we've ever had. More than that, it was just such a thoughtful and loving gesture that we were blown away by. We look forward to visiting again on a return trip!

In all honesty, this is by far the best food I have ever had the pleasure of eating. The service is on a different level, just beyond any other experience in Vienna or anywhere else. Price may at first seem high, but considering the level of detail and quality, it is more than fair! Can not wait to eat here again!

Excellent restaurant! We luckily found this place on New Year’s Eve, and the staff accommodated us as we arrived mid through the tasting menu. The team obviously have a great understanding of fine cuisine and are super welcoming. The two waiter and waitress made the evening even more special with their knowledge and personality. Highly recommend this place - hidden gem!

Had the pleasure of eating and drinking at Kraus on a Friday evening with my partner. The place has a great atmosphere with a mix of bar, lounge, table seats and a comfortable bench row (where we sat). The staff was super friendly and the tapas style food was tasty, fun and innovative. Their drink (wine, beer, cocktails) menu is extensive, but we stayed mostly in the (super well made) cocktail section, no regrets. I'd highly recommend going to Kraus if you are looking for a nice evening in a comfortable atmosphere where it doesn't feel like you are being rushed through a menu, but you can take it slow, enjoy the food, the people, the space and the drinks.

This is a gourmet place. It combines the sophistication of cuisine, the inspiration of an art gallery and the laconicism of design. I highly recommend it to true connoisseurs. ...When dishes can also be art...
