We always have an outstanding meal when we go here. The service is very friendly and the food comes out very quickly. We have had many different dishes here and everything has been fantastic. We can recommend this place enough.

Julian Martinez Garcia

Google
The food is so good and the presentation is beautiful! All the staff are very friendly and attentive as well. Will definitely be back soon!

Google
Amazing food, service and experience! Really quick and tasty, served a group of 8 at very short notice too.

Debora Goncalves

Google
We love Dash! Delicious sushi and other Japanese food, always fresh and tasty. Friendly service, reasonable prices, relatively easy parking.

Google
Had a wonderful meal at this place. I love their take on Japanese food! They have a fantastic combination of fun small bytes and classic sushi rolls. We lived everything we tried, and are super happy that this restaurant is in the neighborhood!

Google
Local joint... But the pork ramen is a must. It just has this heartier flavor, that I feel is even better than some ramen-only parlors. The menu has a myriad of options, some being traditional Japanese while others dishes draw influence from other types of cultures. I try to go every week, but I can go overboard on the sake ha!

Google
Really yummy sushi and nice people! I was really surprised as I came here on a whim, I want to go back to try more of their sushi. Def worth a try!

Sejo “Jose” Jahić

Google
Excellent food! Sake and beer selection quite extensive and the sevice very comfortable. My personal routine here is: Miso soup, 5 pcs. Omakase sashimi, Suntory draft, green tea cheesecake. Dinner perfection. For what it’s worth, Suntory Pilsner is by far my favorite beer of all times. Except for maybe Prague’s Branícka Desítka.

Yelp
My friend and I went here on a rainy weekday night. We were seated immediately in a cozy booth-like area that was enclosed by a wooden fence. The restaurant was half full, and the service was quick in allowing us to order, serving us food, and bring us the check. We ordered the Stuffed Mushroom, the Wagyu Carpaccio, the Dash Special Roll, and Chicken Karaage. The mushrooms were rich and flavorful, the carpaccio had a good blend of salty and sweet, the dash special roll incorporated popcorn shrimp nicely, and the chicken karaage was quite crunchy! Overall, I enjoyed trying some of their tapas and would love to come back to try more!

Yelp
Great addition to the neighborhood with sushi and ramen-adjacent options. In my opinion, getting ramen at a sushi restaurant (or any restaurant that doesn't focus solely on ramen) never works out. It almost always feels like an afterthought. I would say that it ALMOST doesn't feel that way here. And although that doesn't sound like it, it's pretty high praise from me. I would still focus on the sushi and small plates here but the ramen is a good alternative for people in the party who aren't into the raw fish thing. Great service and well designed restaurant, with space for families and mellow date nights alike.

Yelp
Chirashi bowl 5/5 - this was really good and only $34! There was a decent amount of fish and a good variety. All the fish tasted fresh. Fish to rice ratio was also really good. We also tried some of the appetizers and fish cake soup which I thought was okay. But I would definitely come back for their chirashi bowl! It was pretty busy on a Saturday night but I don't think there was a wait. We had a big party and got seated right away.

Yelp
Delicious food and sushi but with a spin. The small plates allow you to try every delicious selection or share with others. Flavors are spot on, very friendly staff. Comfy interiors with plenty of seating, even to accommodate large groups. We will be back and recommend.

Yelp
A quiet sushi place located in Noe Valley! They have a wide variety of options and have an Izakaya vibe with some fusion items. My friend and I split: - Rising Sun ($17) - 3/5 I liked the tuna freshness but it was balanced out by the soggy/old fried crab in the middle - 49ers ($16) - 3/5 Simple California roll with salmon and lemon slices on top; just an average roll. - Wagyu Carpaccio ($15) - 2/5 I was kind of confused with this one because I expected it to be raw. The pieces were chewy but I also expected more flavor. - Hamachi Carpaccio ($15) - 4/5 My favorite thing that we got! I love me some good hamachi. For the rolls, they were tightly packed; love this because some places got rice falling everywhere. Service was good! The servers were nice. Overall, just another sushi place; nothing bad but also nothing amazing.

Yelp
took a little long to get our order in but the food came out quick. rolls were good and I'd recommend the hand rolls as well. nice sushi spot.

Yelp
The service was very good and it's a nice looking space on Diamond/24th. The menu has some interesting options as well as everything else you would expect from a Japanese restaurant. For me, the taste just wasn't there tonight for most of the choices that we made. The miso soup in my opinion was too complex and heavy. The salmon tacos were served with salsa and deep-fried, tempura seaweed cups. The only thing I could taste was the salsa. My chicken teriyaki was just ok, again the flavors were off. The chicken wasn't seasoned very well, and the teriyaki sauce I requested on the side was very thick and too sweet. The lamb chops were the best choice that we made for dinner.

Yelp
Loved this place and so happy it's in my neighborhood. I was a bit surprised by some of the more critical reviews since I thought the three things I got were excellent (maybe I just ordered well haha). - Top Secret - the crispy rice is cooked to perfection and the spicy tuna goes so nicely with it. Comes in four pieces so a great sharing dish though I devoured them all myself (5/5) - dash taco - nice and cold which is nicely complements the hot crispy rice dish. I love a tempura battered seaweed shell (4.5/5) - I waited too long before eating the second one and it got a touch soggy so eat it when it arrives - daily special - I got the o-toro nigiri. This was divine and the first thing I ate. LOVED (5/5) Lastly - I thoroughly appreciate a restaurant open on Mondays bc you know, many places aren't open (ugh SF!). And as solo diner walking in at 5:30pm I didn't have to wait

Yelp
Great sushi spot in Noe Valley! We came here with a few friends close to closing and they were very accommodating, quick service, and offered a friend environment, especially from "Aunt Mimi". All the food was delicious. Can't wait to come back again!
google avatar

Thien H.

Yelp
It's okay. I like the unagi fried rice dish and the "Top Secret" pan fried crispy rice topped w/spicy tuna & jalapeño (4pcs) the most. I'm not sure why NorCal places don't make this appetizer more often. SoCal and the rest of the southwest sushi joints have crispy rice spicy tuna everywhere and I miss it so much. I'll be back for these two dishes mainly.

Yelp
It is such a treat to come to Dash for the tapas, as I follow the best reviews here. These dishes are unique, tasty, fresh, with lots of flavors! We had the Dash Tacos: one bite introduces this restaurant's ability to create deliciousness! Wagyu carpaccio: tender & tasty; Tuna Salmon Tower: fresh fun to scoop on top of a crispy chip drizzled with their sauce; and Top Secret: no photos to keep it a secret! Service was friendly, attentive and efficient. Nice clean cozy restaurant for dates and families in Noe Valley. You can also treat yourself and come alone! Will return to try their sashimi.

Yelp
Tasty food plus great service. It has a nice mix of traditional Japanese izakaya food plus some interesting and tasty fusion choices as well. The only dish that was sub-par was the chicken Karaage but I would order everything else again. It's also very kid friendly if that's important to you.

Yelp
We stumbled on this place and what a nice surprise! It's a lovely restaurant that has nice vibes, it's actually quite bigger than it seems. We got the Sakura roll, dragon roll, and unagi fried rice. The rolls were pretty standard. We really liked the rice. It was super unique from other Japanese restaurants we'd been to, and the portion was good. I loved the crispy salmon skin and the textures in this rice. The highlight of the meal.

Yelp
Came here for a weeknight dinner and everything was so delicious! Ordered a bunch of nigiri and everything came out pretty fast.

Yelp
An absolute gem! Rarely do I love all the items I order, but Dash managed to pull it off. From the drinks to the sushi to the tapas, each and every dish was a delight. For drinks, I'd highly recommend trying the sparkling sake with jelly. One of the most unique drinks I've had, and both the yuzu and peach flavors were super tasty. Food-wise, our group of 3 ordered 7 dishes (ootoro, hamachi crudo, mentaiko udon, fried oysters, top secret, agedashi tofu, and eryngi mushrooms) and thought it was a satiating amount of food. I'm still dreaming about the perfect garlic butter sauce in the mushrooms, but once again, everything was delicious and you can't go wrong! Vibes were great- would make an excellent date spot, and as an added bonus, they played lofi hip hop the whole time! Service was very prompt and food came out quickly, although this may result from our choice to dine on a Monday night.
google avatar

Dina G.

Yelp
We've gotten takeout from here a few times and it's always excellent. Service is friendly, too, and they have unusual pieces. Try the salmon skin roll -- it's great! (We prefer it without shiso leaves.)

Yelp
I really wanted to like Dash-- but every aspect of it made me question why I'd been wanting to come here forever. This is a no photo review because I somehow was not motivated to take pictures. The restaurant is decently sized and is clean, with ample seating for larger groups. We were seated immediately and offered menus. The service however was so slow that it too them 20 mins to come back with water, an additional 10 to take our order, yet the food came out all at once -- I.e., the fried rice and unagi came out before the miso soup, and our appetisers came 20 mins after. It was disorienting. The food also did not taste flavorful or fresh. The fried rice was 100% burned, and the unagi was cooked to a crisp. The karaage, butter mushrooms, and crispy tuna rice were average at best, being either overcrowded, or soggy. The item that I did like was the salted edamame, but I cannot bring this to redeem everything else -- especially since it came to the table 45 mins into the meal. Dash, maybe something went wrong during our visit: which is fine. I would just expect more from a restaurant rated this highly. Overall was shocked and would not go out of my way to go back here.

Yelp
this place is great: consistently good service and sushi, we go here a lot and it's reliable; not super fancy but still super tasty and satisfying, no frills, it is what it is and it always delivers - (i always splurge for the lamb chops)
google avatar

Rachel L.

Yelp
We just had dinner at Dash, and boy do they live up to their name! Our delicious sushi, soup, gyoza and sashimi arrived quickly at our table. We very much enjoyed our Friday night feast. The miso soup was very flavorful, and my 49er roll had the most refreshing little slivers of lemon on top and my California roll was joyful. Very tasty. Our salmon sashimi was very fresh, and they gyoza were cooked to perfection and slightly crisped. We have been to Dash a number of times and always enjoy the ambiance and friendly waitstaff. We highly recommend.

Yelp
We love this place! Food, drinks, service, - everything is marvelous. Our kids love it too.

Yelp
I've now ordered Dash's Tonkotsu Ramen 6 times, and each bowl has been excellent! The pork is not the typical fatty-to-very fatty slices, but thick, lean and seared. Most ramen broths are so over-salted, but Dash's is full of flavor and lightly salted. I'll be back for sure, and have to dive into their sushi menu (been cold lately!). So happy Dash is nearby (Noe Valley location).
google avatar

Minh-Uyen N.

Yelp
Dash was a very nice hole-in-the-wall sushi restaurant for date night. The food tasted really fresh. All 3 rolls that we got were very unique and we definitely left feeling full. My favorite was probably the 49er. They didn't have oysters when we came which was kind of disappointing. The service was a bit slow but overall a good experience.

Yelp
Went around 7pm on a Tuesday and there wasn't too many people so we got seated right away. Started off with Top Secret and the Hamachi Carpaccio which was super yummy - especially the carpaccio! I got the Yaki Udon as my main which was also super delicious - the garnish was honestly what made it super yummy. I will say the dishes are not necessary the most affordable and since the portions are smaller it's easier to go over $100+ with two people. Great for just appetizers though! The service was great - our server was super kind and got our food to us quick and was always refilling our water. Overall - 8/10 since it's a little $$$ for the portions, but I did like the unique-ness of some of the dishes!

Yelp
I was so excited to try this place as Noe Valley is in need of more food restaurant and this place did not let us down! Between the quick service to the delicious food, we'll be coming back! I got the oyster shooter, which was probably one of my favorite ones that I've had! I also got the oysters with Uni, which weren't my cup of tea, but still happy that I got to try something different! My husband got the fried chicken, and a few days later he's still talking about how he wants more chicken nuggets. Next time he'll have to try the katsu. The creamy scallop roll, gyoza, and rice ball were all delightful as welll. Seems like you can't go wrong with all from dash!
google avatar

Lisa T.

Yelp
4/5 service 4/5 food I came on a Friday night and it wasn't busy at all. I'm not sure if that's a good thing for a Japanese restaurant. The street parking was easy. The Omakase was decent. I loved the plum wine, dragon roll and unagi fried rice. I would say the overall experience was ok, but it wasn't memorable to the point of where I would come back given all the amazing Japanese restaurants in the city.
google avatar

Alex N.

Yelp
The food is fresh, delicious and good customers service... especially fresh scallops..the best Japanese restaurant in SF

Mahsa K.

Yelp
Great Japanese food! Enjoyed the nigiri pieces we got. Service was great and the ambiance was nice. Great date night restaurant

Yelp
Attentive service, beautiful natural ambiance, yummy food. Come check it out for yourself.

Yelp
My partner and I went to Dash last night. It's in our neighborhood, and we'd been wanting to go there for quite some time. We glad we finally did. The menu has a broad variety, and everything we ordered was fresh and well prepared. I especially loved the sweet shrimp nigiri that was sourced from Japan. Our server was also gracious, so was the restaurant manager. We will go back again soon, for sure.
google avatar

Yenn T.

Yelp
Brand-new sushi restaurant in the in the area. This is their second location, they also have one in San Mateo. It's more of a tapas place where dishes have tiny portions and can be shared. Fish is fresh and delicious. Dishes are flavorful and unique. All the dishes were delicious except for the o-toro nigiri and stuffed mushroom which I thought was just OK. Mushroom was undercooked in the middle. My favorite is the spicy tuna on crispy rice. Service was friendly and checked on us from time to time.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Their nigiri is good but there I better places out there... The tapas are the most interesting thing here thought. Some lovely combination of flavors. Great little local joint for a bite and some sake

Carlos K.

Yelp
Melanie gave us excellent service! She brought everything quickly and was very kind. She checked in with us often and accommodated my vegan dietary restriction. She was very busy with many tables but still did a great job. It's so hard to find great service nowadays so I really appreciate it. The food was excellent too and the service just made the experience perfect. Thank you, Melanie!

Chi F.

Yelp
My favorite sushi restaurant. So much choice that caters for everyone's tastes. Service is polite, friendly, and attentive. Pleasant and small restaurant with an intimate setting. We love the Dash tacos, veggie udon, lamb chops, and maki rolls but everything is good on the menu!

Yelp
We came in on a Monday night after looking at rave Yelp reviews. Order was 1. Miso Chicken ramen ($18) 2. Hamachi Sashimi ($25), Lamb Chops ( $16), baby scallops ($13). Ramen - came with pork instead of chicken. Serves 2 people admirably as an appetizer or 1 as a main course. Not a large portion but average. Taste profile is Good but price toooo high for a medium portion -3 stars Hamachi - way too expensive for five little bitty pieces of sashimi. It was so small I double check with the waitress to make sure that there was not a mistake. This amount of fish should've cost no more than $15. Indeed I had bluefin tuna sashimi that was MUCH better tasting the previous evening for 14.95. Taste was a terrible disappointment as it liked any depth OR any real flavor. 1 star. LAMB Chops - small and overpriced. Noticing a pattern here? In addition, although the waitress told me, this was season with garlic salt, we found the flavor profile to be lacking and sold absent appropriately cooked, medium rare, the lamb taste felt fairly flat. Perhaps it was frozen and the frosting as the waitress told me it came from Australia.1 star. Baby Scallops - u get 2!!! Two little bitty, baby ( farmed not wild) scallops, and no I'm not kidding for $13. Tasty with their sauce, but hardly even an appetizer given the portion size. For this price, I expect wild, caught scallops, and at least four. .5 stars. Atmosphere- is OK at trendy Japanese want to be in Noe Valley. Music is instrumental so you can carry on a conversation, but perhaps include occasional Japanese music to better set the atmosphere. 3 stars. Service- waitress did not inquire about the satisfaction of the cuisine. Nor did she ask if we'd like anything else to eat, but summarily presented the bill. Value - miserable failure given the way over priced cuisine with just average quality ingredients. I can get farmed seafood anywhere, and a much better price, portion size and value. We cannot understand what the hype is about on yelp, and will not be back as there is much better food in a much better. Price point is much better service, many places in the city.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went to Dash this weekend. The service was amazing, very attentive. The food was also very good. We ordered - top secret appetizer - 10/10!! Our favorite part of the meal - sashimi dinner - 9/10 good price for 12 pieces of sashimi, miso soup, and rice. We ended up getting 4 kinds of fish on it (salmon, tuna, shiro maguro, and I forget the fourth... maybe hamachi). Pretty basic but thick slices - spicy tuna roll - classic roll - spicy hamachi roll - loved this one. Similar to spicy tuna but had chunks of hamachi inside - rainbow roll - 8.5/10 Highly recommend. We will be going back.

Yelp
10/10! I'm usually a bit picky when it comes to sushi so when I tried all the food here, I immediately loved everything about this restaurant. Clean, authentic environment, great service, even greater food. I highly recommend Dash for an amazing Japanese cuisine and sushi experience!
google avatar

Chelsea L.

Yelp
Such a great addition to the neighborhood! Great quality food, wonderful service, and a lovely environment that is relaxing and not pretentious, but still nice. They also have quite an extensive menu, which for most places isn't usually a good thing but there is no sacrificing of quality here! I enjoyed the o toro nigiri, top secret tapa (almost didn't order this but so glad we did!), wagyu carpaccio, and 49ers roll. (The matcha cheesecake was just ok.) Highly recommend!
google avatar

Nathan D.

Yelp
Brand new sushi place in Noe Valley. Fresh fish and quick/friendly service. Definitely better than the other 2 sushi places down the street. Bad part is that it's next to a church but still recommended.
google avatar

Calvin L.

Yelp
I live in the neighborhood, and wow, I feel so lucky that Dash opened up (fairly recently, I believe). The menu has a really wide range of options - if you want sushi, they've got really delicious, fresh fish. If you want tapas/cooked foods, they've got plenty of options. Even if you want ramen or udon, which usually I don't expect to be good from any sushi place, theirs is good! So I hit it up all the time even when I'm in the mood for different things. I mostly get takeout but have eaten there too. The ambiance is great, it's new and clean, with great service. I really don't write a lot of (or any reviews) but I want this place to do well because it's one of if not my favorite restaurant in Noe Valley, and one of if not my favorite Japanese restaurant in San Francisco. Big recommend - enjoy!

Jasmine G.

Yelp
Restaurant seems to be very busy and the overall setting is pretty, but the food is very mediocre. We got the sashimi and the cuts appeared extremely dry and dull. The omakase was the worst thing we ordered. All the fish tasted bland and lacked any sort of shine. They were super tiny compared to what other sushi restaurants offer and had no special flavor. Very forgettable and bland meal for the price.
google avatar

Calvin Y.

Yelp
Whenever I eat sushi at a restaurant or order sushi takeout, it tastes about the same and does not surprise me much. Dash, however, offers a variety of appetizers and sushis that showcase their unique individual taste, color, and presentation. In particular, I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the Sake (salmon) and Hamachi (yellowtail) sashimi, both of which have a smooth and filling flavor. You can tell how carefully and thoughtfully the chefs created and plated each dish to maximize the dining experience for customers through looks and tastes. Moreover, the staff service was excellent and attentive, as well as the comfortable dining environment that made my sushi experience enjoyable. I would totally come back here again with my friends and family and share this pleasant experience with them!
google avatar

Sarah R.

Yelp
Very fast service! Went for a birthday and it was a little cramped but fun overall. They have a very wide range of appetizers and meals to choose from.
google avatar

Yelp
Everything was delicious! Uni lover! Perfectly fit, I would come again for sure! !

Yelp
Came here during soft opening and I was impressed by the decor and lovely staffs. Restaurant clean and big plus how attentive their staff were. My family and I ordered so much food because everything sounds good and taste even better than it sounds! Highly recommend this new place because of the cleanliness, great staffs, affordable price and more importantly, FRESH FRESH FISH!
google avatar

Ashley N.

Yelp
Waitstaff is so attentive and kind! Food is delicious! Lots of variety, so happy to have them in the neighborhood!

Yelp
Love this new spot in Noe! Great food and service - especially loved the top secret and hamachi poke roll. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Kate L.

Yelp
Food was great, fish was very fresh. Service was excellent! Great new spot in the neighborhood.

Cindy H.

Yelp
Really great new place in Noe Valley for a casual bite to eat! The service is super fast, we literally got all the dishes we ordered within 15 minutes. Best dish was definitely the mentaiko yaki udon, super flavorful without being too oily or salty. The hamachi carpaccio, peach shirome, and baked mushrooms were also standouts. The tempura was decently crispy but the batter is on the thicker side, and the portion sizing for the scallop uni dish is really small. The omakase was definitely good, a good variety of fresh fish, but it is kinda pricey, and I think the different tapas are more interesting.
google avatar

Sheila S.

Yelp
Great sushi, interesting Japanese and fusion tapas, and warm casual ambience. Good for a date night or family dinner.
