I think this is one of my favourite restaurants I went to during my trip! Service was exceptional, the waiters were clear professionals and were super kind to us. The food was well presented and absolutely delicious. I loved every single dish from starters to dessert! I also loved how they gave us traditional italian desserts to taste at the end of our lunch. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a wonderful dining experience!

I was too skeptical when my sister insisted in going to this place (I mean we were gonna break the bank cuz it was a five start hotel restaurant). We decided to try out the breakfast instead of dinner (after rescheduling for the 3rd time, the staff was very accommodating). The price tag may seem high but it was so worth for me. We got eggs, toast and some pastries. The presentation and pastry selection met the expectation. We laughed so hard when more pastries just kept coming. The hot chocolate was good. Coffee latte was decent. They even served bread with butter and jams on the side for breakfast which was insane. Service 10/10. Very attentive and supportive. I did not regret having brunch there.

I didn't see if DaV has any Michelin stars, but they should. Great service with table-side presentations. The meal started with a delicious amuse bouche from the chef (ours was a little pie-like pastry filled with a shrimp mousse and some pesto). For my meal I had the pasta with pesto, and for dessert I had strawberry ice cream with fresh strawberries and pineapple, both dishes were delicious. At the end of the meal the pastry chef came around with a cart and filled complementary little sugar cones with a vanilla creme and presented those and various sweet petit fours for us to enjoy. A top-notch meal with top-notch service.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Man, what a night at DaV Mare in Portofino! This place is something else. The food was out-of-this-world good—seriously, the best we’ve had in ages. Every bite was like a little party in your mouth. And the wine? That €500 bottle was pure heaven, totally worth it. Only thing, the staff was a bit *too* eager to keep the plates coming. Those portions are huge! We were stuffed after the starter and told our waiter we were good, but the main course rolled out anyway. No stress, though—they sorted it out fast, took it off the bill, and we finished with some awesome dessert. Honestly, DaV Mare nailed it. Food, wine, service—all fantastic. Can’t wait to go back, maybe with stretchier pants! 🍝🍷

We recently visited Dav Mare in and had their bar menu. Overall, it was an average experience. The fried calamari was unfortunately too salty for our taste, which was disappointing. As for the pizza, it was more like a soggy piece of bread with warm sauce rather than what we expected. However, the burrata was quite nice, both in taste and presentation. On a positive note, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which made our visit more pleasant. Additionally, the bathroom was very clean, which is always appreciated. While some aspects of our meal could be improved, the welcoming atmosphere and cleanliness were definite highlights.

This restaurant is truly mind-blowing. The food was amazing. For starters, we had the seafood mix which was very tasty and then for the main course we had the “Homemade Green Tagliolini”, the “Pacchero alla Vittorio Dav” (which was the best pasta in the menu in my opinion), 2 portions of the “Gran Fritto Misto” and for dessert we had 2 portions of the “Tiramisu” (one of the best I have ever eaten). They were all just amazing. The waiters were also very nice, presenting to us every detail of what we ordered and recommended us certain wines. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing as the music and the scenery around us was very beautiful. They gave us 2 complimentary appetizers and 3 complimentary desserts, which I thought was so nice. The one I liked most was the “Pannetone” at the end. It was so flavourful. Although it was expensive, the food is definitely worth it. I’d say this restaurant is a must-try here in Portofino!
