Dave & Buster's Tempe

Our server was super nice, the place was clean and everything was perfect. We all enjoyed our food and apps and played for a little bit before it closed. Only complaint was the fish was a little chewy, but honestly whatever it’s likely just frozen mass distributed fish. Was still 10/10 service and I’d go back again and eat the same things.

This location is at Tempe Marketplace. Surrounded by shopping and dining. Target. Best Buy. And so much more. Near ASU and Tempe Town Lake. Always visit when in town. Bring all my business partners and associates and they definitely enjoy D&B as well.

My family and I recently visited Dave & Busters in Tempe, AZ and we had a fantastic experience from start to finish. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. Our waiter, Mike C, immediately stood out with his friendly demeanor and excellent customer service skills. He took the time to explain the drinks and menu options to us without any hesitation, making our dining experience seamless and enjoyable. Mike's positive attitude and constant smile made us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout our visit. It was clear that he genuinely cared about providing top-notch service to his customers. The food at Dave & Busters was also outstanding - delicious and satisfying with no complaints from our group. We were so impressed with Mike's exceptional service that we feel compelled to commend him to the management. He is truly an asset to the restaurant and we will definitely be returning to Dave & Busters because of him. Overall, our dining experience at Dave & Busters in Tempe, AZ was fantastic and we highly recommend it to others looking for great food and outstanding customer service.

Go and enjoy their 5 dlls special, lots of domestic drafts to choose from, and they also have 5 dlls appetizers like flatbreads, fried pickles, nachos, and more. Obviously, there are lots of games, and they offer bachata and dance classes per 5 dlls en their top roof

Great spot to beat the heat! Games are currently half price on Wednesdays too, which gives a great bang for your buck. Food was delicious. Check it out!

Went to dave and busters to get away from the summer heat and have something to do over the weekend. We ended up getting the kids pizza which was sooooo good! My favorite for me and my toddler. My husband got the chicken strips meal and those chicken strips are the best we have had in a long time! They were juicy, non greasy, great crunch with every bite also! Our server was very friendly and attentive also. Only complaint I have is the disappointment on how most of the games where out of order so that's always no fun. Hoping next time the games are functioning since we look forward to visit again soon since we enjoyed the food

This Dave & Buster location was great. The employee was really nice. If you had a problem with any of the games, the employees would help you and give you credits. There were a couple of games closed and some that just didn't work at all but overall a great place with very nice staff. My favorite day to go is Wednesday. All the games are half off, and it's such a great deal!

We brought the kids here for some fun and games. We had some fun of our own. Great place for a Saturday family outing. Food is mediocre but it's kinda expected considering the place and atmosphere. We will definitely be back for some fun with the crew.

I contemplated leaving this review but I think it's important to provide an honest take on the state of restaurants right now and how my experience at Dave & Busters last night was the perfect example. At present, eating out at casual dining places has become as equal a luxury as dining out at a fine restaurant. And not due to quality but solely based on cost. An order of appetizer wings at this location was $18.99 and you only receive seven wings. The wings weren't particular delicious and the atmosphere wasn't particularly vibrant. For a Monday night in October you would think D&B would attempt to attract customers through food and drink specials while they watch Monday Night Football or the Major League Baseball playoffs. There was none of that. Just really overpriced cafeteria quality bar food. The place was half empty and the service was okay. I have 1-star for timeliness of service and the cleanliness of the facility. But there was absolutely nothing about that experience that warranted spending $20 after taxes on seven pieces of chicken wings. We left before the game we came to watch ended. As we walked through Tempe Marketplace on our way to our car we passed much livelier bars that were full of patrons. We peaked at their menus and were seriously regretting our decision. If you find yourself in Tempe Marketplace and are looking to watch a sporting event while enjoying delicious food, I do not recommend D&B. Places where you'll have a better time without regretting the money you spent are within walking distance: The Thirsty Lion, Bar Louie, and Twin Peaks. For this Dave & Busters, come for the arcade games but go somewhere else for food and drinks.

I went to this Dave & Buster's location last Saturday with a pretty large group. We made reservations ahead of time, and the food area was not very busy when we arrived. Service was really terrible. They brought over the wrong food several times, took it back, then brought it to other tables. They also brought multiple of the same item, as they didn't know we already received items. It seemed really disorganized. The food was mid at best, but I honestly didn't expect much. We also ordered a mini keg for the table, that was supposed to have 64oz beer, which would be 4 glasses. We got three and a tiny bit of a 4th. The game area was packed but had a great variety of games: skill, luck, athleticism, etc. Definitely something for everyone! I appreciated that staff were frequently wiping down tables by the games where people set drinks. On the other hand, the floor was really gross and sticky.

Wings and football with background noise. You can never go wrong with Dave and buster if you have lots of energy to burn

The food just isn't good enough to justify the price. Also I got such a little amount of food in my chicken bowl, I was still very hungry when we left. I feel like this place use to have better food and lower prices. The one cool thing is that you can earn tickets playing the arcade games and redeem them for food from the restaurant. So much better than getting a stuffed animal or junky plastic doo dad. You're better off just avoiding this place.

Dave and busters is fun for adults and kiddos. We come at least twice a month. We just come to play games but haven't dined in for a while. It's a lot more games than main event !

Fun place to hang out and play some games. This Dave & Buster's is located at Tempe Marketplace. They have food and a sport's bar area to watch local games. I come here from time to time whenever a group of friends want to hang out or for occasional family birthday parties. Food menu has a variety of pizzas, burgers, pastas and salads. Dave & Buster's has all sorts of games. I like the interactive ones like basketball, skee ball and the sit-down motorcycle or shooting games. I was a big arcade junkie back in high school and still enjoy some of the classic games. You have to purchase a power card to play and can redeem prizes with your tickets from redemption games. Salsa nights on the rooftop are really popular here and they offer free lessons if you arrive early.

As the name implies, Dave and Buster...2 things that go together for success... that means food and games. On this trip we only came for Food. Everyone was undecided, so we thought we'd just grab something to eat. I think the only way to really enjoy is to do both and not just one. Food was just average across the board and the price point didn't match. Make sure you take advantage of the food and game combos to get the most out of the experience. $150 for what I would describe as reheated/frozen dinner items for 4 people with only 1 cocktail... looked good, but bland... in short, it just didn't add up & we walked out scratching our heads over sub-average meal experience.

Great place to take kids for dinner and games , something for everyone here, food was all great , service was attentive and fast. Many items to choose from and well priced . Very many games all reasonable priced , 500% better than the competitors , namely Bowlero . I haven't been here in a while , lost a star for not having a dining room with less noise

The worst Sunday football you will ever go to. No football sound a DJ so loud you can't talk. The place is empty guess why. Right across the way at Twin Peaks. It was a two hour wait to get in real football real football Sundays. I remember Dave & Buster's used to be such a great place to come watch football. Total buster is a fact ! Don't come here for sports.

3 stars because the service and atmosphere were awesome. My friends and I love getting to play the games while we hang out. However the food is just extremely overpriced and my burger was really not all that great.

Wandered over after meeting elsewhere. The ladies were hungry again. Unfortunately, it was after most of the other establishments had shut down for the night. When I walked in, I was very confused as they've made so many changes in the past 12 years since I'd late been in LOL We came in here, they ordered drinks and the reverse happy hour cheeseburger sliders. I heard them say the drinks were strong, the bun was so fluffy and after eating a few I heard them say "these are so good". I didn't partake as I was only there for moral support. Mark who likes dj ing was our server. He was pleasant and attentive for the brief time we were there. We did not play games so this was solely based on the food and food area. When I went to use the washroom, I thought how cool it was and who knows maybe I'd come check out some games. I just remember it being incredibly expensive but who knows, maybe they've figured out how to make it less expensive to the patrons (unlikely). It was cool, the reverse happy thing was definitely the coolest part.

I visited Dave & Buster's on Wednesday, 11/23/22 for the 1/2 off games. Experience: This location was very awesome! All of the game machines were working and functioning properly. My favorite games to play were Pac-Man, Monopoly, and Minecraft Dungeons. I won a lot of tickets! On top of that, the staff members were truly nice and the Ladies' restroom was clean. Thumbs up for this location!

Fun place to take your teenager. Food was okay but nothing really to write home about. However, it's continent that you can eat and play.

Look at your receipt!!! I had no idea they automatically include the tip and force you to subtract or increase it. This is a deceptive practice. I didn't realize it until it was too late.

Fun place to take the grandkids.. great food and the ambiance awesome..they have great games.. and service is just wonderful..

My girlfriend and I went here to compare it to the D&B from Queen Creek. Only did the gaming as we had eaten prior, however, a decent portion of the games were out of order. We still had fun with the games we could play. The main reason I'm writing this review is because when it was time to checkout, we selected our prizes and brought them to the counter. The man at the checkout, Enzo, scans all our items and then he placed a bag of gummy bears and a candy burger with our selected items. My girlfriend and I assumed he was handing them out for free as he hadn't said a word about them and we didn't ask for them. Come to find out the morning after, the receipt showed us he charged us for them. At no point did we even ask for or desire candy so I'm not sure if he did it intentionally but come on, do better.

I was there on a Sunday night and trying to have some fun with my family from out of town we went up stairs in a 21 and older area and some complications with a out of town I'd and best decided that a passport would be a better form of identification and proceeded with that the two older white mangers still denied us entry and threaten to call the cops after seeing our Latin heritage and told us next time to come back with a green card if your a minority don't come here.

The food is just overpriced 2 avocados sandwiches with 2 drinks 41.03 and they still want tip even thought you don't want to leave a tip on the machine I payed cash but no I don't think I wouldn't go back to eat there so overpriced the food and still didn't get full at all.

This was my first time here and at first I was having a great time with friends. I got to meet the DJ and got to dance. ..but then I was treated horribly by a person named sky. She started yelling at me because I sat on a chair that was supposedly" her chair" She started yelling at me and I was i shocked as everyone was as well. I told her she could be nicer and she got so mad and started saying I was banned from d&b for a month and so on and on and kept on yelling at me for no reason at all. So I just walked out because I was not getting down to her lower level. I am not goin go confront a crazy person. I am very disappointed. Everything was fun, until this person randomly attacked me.

The grilled salmon is outstanding. The service is great! The drinks are spot on, and right on time. The energy during sports games is fun and you will have a good view no matter where you are. The cobb salad was not what I expected; mixed salad greens is chopped romain with a lot of the heart, the corn has a sweet, cream base, so even with dressing and cheese on the side, it's coming "wet." It was still delicious and had a nice crunch. (But next time, I'll just order the salmon entree.) Overall, it's a great dining experience and well worth the price.

It's the NBA playoffs season and I had never been to a Dave & Buster's. Why not? The Good: Several large screen TVs that make watching sports in the bar/dining area easy regardless of where you're sitting. Having said that, I did have to negotiate with staff to actually change the channel when the Phoenix Suns game came on which seemed bizarre since nearly every guest at the bar was there to watch the game. Decent Happy Hour specials that last till 7:00 pm. Well-made cocktails. The Vanilla Old Fashioned is exceptional and packs a punch! Despite the chaos/noise of the arcade area, you're insulated from it when sitting at the bar. Food is of average quality, akin to an Applebee's. Other guests sitting at the bar were friendly and chatty. Mix of locals and travelers. The Bad: Some of the food items are way overpriced. I ordered the crispy chicken tenders with chipotle BBQ sauce. They were priced at nearly $12. What I was served was four small tenders. I actually thought that the order had been placed wrong or I was being served a special Happy Hour course of a smaller portion. I know food costs are skyrocketing but it would probably be better to just take this item off the menu. I can't imagine I'm the only disappointed guest. To be fair, the nachos were a much larger portion. The Ugly: With the exception of Adam, the bartender who waited on me, the rest of the staff has a "That's not my job mentality." And when they actually say, "That's not my job," it is pointed. Again, staffing shortages are a huge problem now, but plenty of other places are still managing to deliver exceptional service. In the end, would I ever return to Dave & Buster's? Probably not. There are tons of other establishments that offer this same concept at a better value. I totally understand the brand appeal of Dave & Buster's for families. It offers something for everyone. The kids can play games, Mom can drink a bottle of Chardonnay, Dad can watch the game while kicking back a brew. It is convenient, albeit not cheap. Similarly, the food on offer is not something you would come here for. I ordered the grilled steak salad that was OK but was marred by the tons of dressing slathered on (note to kitchens: ALWAYS put the dressing on the side!). For the Tempe Marketplace location in particular, there's just too many other good options around.

My first experience at this location: I've been to the Dave & Busters in Tempe and QC, and I haven't had an experience this bad ever. I stopped at the restroom and found it to be in bad condition. The air everywhere felt thick and humid. We went upstairs since no one was at the front. I needed help with a players card and was not able to do it at a kiosk. So instead of dealing with the hassle of finding an employee, I purchased a new card. I like to play the coin pushing games and each game I tried I had to call over a technician. The game technician that helped us was visibly annoyed. In the first game, the coins ran out so more needed to be added into the dispenser. After he "fixed" the game, he unnecessarily moved the prizes back where it was more difficult to get. This game tech had glasses and short brown hair, his attitude toward guests was a bit hostile and he was not very attentive(a lot more happened with this employee).

This racist ass place is terrible! The regular workers are ok but the managers are a nightmare! Especially the guy who wears a mask, he makes me uncomfortable just to interact with. And the manager with the dreadlocks talks to you like you're an idiot and she's better than you.

Great place for the family! I love it here! The games and sport watching brings a complete experience. I love D&B

We had a small birthday party with about 15 people, both kids and adults. Saudia took care of us from the time we got there until we left. She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Her customer service was top tier and she deserves to get recognized.

We went here today for lunch and a play games. The fish was good french fries very cold if it wasn't for Ashley, who took pictures of us and was very nice and the DJ his music was amazing I probably would've not stayed. Our server never came and checked on us about our food so I ended up not eating my french fries

We had a really nice waiter named Tom and it was fine then we went to get chips to play games and after spending $106 they kicked us out for not being 18 or 21 and didn't offer refund they just milked us of money before kicking us out. We got kicked out by a short bald man who touched my friend to get our attention and we just felt really uncomfortable and mad about it

First of all.thw food was great. The bad part is I was double charged. If I had noticed while I was there I could've possibly gitten it taken care of then. But it wasn't till the next that i saw my bank account i live 3 hours away so im not able to go back to the restaurant. Ive been dealing with the refund issue for about 3 weeks now. Started to feel they are giving me the run around. Im sorry being double charged is one thing.. but 77 dollars is alot of money.

Came to visit Tempe Marketplace (since I constantly see the bright lights when landing at PHX airport) and capped off our night with a visit to D&B since it's been a while. We came here primarily to play the games and we were able to have an hour plus fun on a $35 card. Overall, the game selections were modern and new though this D&B felt smaller than other ones I've visited in California. There wasn't too long of a wait for the more popular games, but my biggest gripe was their DDR-clone. A group of DDR fanboys decided to setup shop at the arcade and pretty much block anyone else from playing. I get that there's always that one group of people crowding DDR, but come on, knowing the popularity I feel like there should be way more of these machines than just 1.

Our waiter Tom is just outstanding. We ordered the flatbread Food is usually pretty good not so much today but that's ok. Not done eating but I was anxious to review Tom's service. Very impressed.

DandB seems like a great place to watch a game. Plenty of huge TVs everywhere. We never ate hear, just came for the kids to play games. It is very frustrating when you swipe your card and you're charged for the game...but you dont get to play the game. This happened multiple times. I kept having to track down the same poor kid to credit my card and dissect the arcade game to fix the issue. Another thing is the place was pretty gross including the bathroom.

Don't come here unless you want to be robbed of $400 of d&b cards and told by the manager "sorry" never coming back here or to another Dave and busters again. Will also be sharing this with everyone I know. Screw my $300 of tickets that someone else just gets to redeem, makes complete sense that me, a customer of YEARS will be screwed out of $300+ however much I've spent since 2021 because I left my card for a split second at a game? Don't come here

Great staff, great atmosphere and lots of games. Can't wait to go back. Didn't try the food was just there to be a kid.

I never in a million years thought I would ask my friends can we meet up at Dave & Busters to have a drink but I'm now that guy I mean Gal haha I ate so much and enjoyed my perfectly prepared cocktail I added them to my I'll be back a lot list!! We took my nephew and to my SURPRISE everything we ordered was GREAT!! I ate more then my share but I was able to go play a few games and I had a very nice time. This is a place you can be as grown as you want and let the kid in you come out and play!! Until we meet again Watermelon cocktail and Shark game...

My hand is forced to post the rating. So disappointed. Someone dropped the ball and no one is stepping up. Service: great! Our server had a huge area filled, every table, every seat and SRO. Food: nope. Never again. Side salad, prepared hours or days in advance. Not fresh. No dressings available that were not cream based. Are a dry salad. Not even pepper or hot sauce available. Experience. Poor, worse than poor. In deficit. Ordered side salad, my partner ordered the Parmesan truffle fries at 1:30.... At 3:00 his fries were delivered. No mention of salad status. Finally at 3:30, I took a walkabout to find a manager. Good to hear he was working the line. BUT if you are working the line wouldn't you see a ticket not fulfilled for 2 hours. 20 minutes later salad arrives. They are out of any non-dairy dressing. Ok, I get it. Asked for pepper, hot sauce...nothing ever arrived. Finally just ate it dry. Listen, I get it- short staffed, we're kot e petting the Raider fan base to show up like they did, it was a busy first Football Sunday. But 2 hours for a side salad? No accountability? Serve my partner and not me? Wasn't able to fulfill the order (no salad dressing available). None of this is on our server. Again she was amazing. Symptoms of poor leadership. By the way. the bill came. I never expect or want a discount. But someone took care of the salad. Guess what. $3.99 pints advertised...charged $6.99. Wonder how many others were overcharged.

Ordered fish and chips and there was 2 pieces of fish no tarter sauce and I received lemon aïoli dressing the nachos portion was so small and the pizza plate was all so small and the burger was cold I spend over $50 and was not satisfied please stay away from this location Food

Dave and Busters is always a fun place for a date night! When I had Wednesday's off for work my boyfriend and I liked going for half price game night mamy times. The awesome thing too, is that you can now redeem tickets for a select few appetizers and desserts which change after a period of time. I really liked it when they had their lettuce wraps included in that. My boyfriend and I come for some game nights as well as fights and we've never had a problem. Kyle is such a wonderful server and always takes care of us. Tonight we had Jordan and his service was on point too. Definitely go and get either of these 2! Excellent, excellent employees! I love getting the pepperoni pizza pull aparts and then for dessert, the triple layer chocolate cake!

Came here for Tuesday Trivia and games. It was so fun. It was Jack's Trivia if I remember correctly. I am not a drinker so I opted for some food for the event. I got a side of Mac and a side of guac and chips. Both were really really good. I highly recommend both options as both seemed freshly made. The Mac was creamy and was made with cavatappi noodles. The guac seemed to be made fresh but if not, they fooled me. It was chunky and had all of the right mix ins like onion and tomato. The games were super fun as well. The scary 3D game may leave your with nightmares but it's well worth it.

Our time at Dave & Busters was very good until we had to sit and eat we asked politely twice for a booth and he denied a booth which was open and said that there was not a booth open and then we asked the waiter and it was up to our host Roberto for a booth which he didn't give and gave to another family game is 5 stars but at the restaurant is very not inconsiderate. We came here for my sisters birthday when she asked for the booth and he completely didn't let us have the booth that was open.

In town for the weekend and came here with 4 friends trying to watch the last 30 minutes of the D Backs game. 30+ TVs and not one TV has a local sports game on. I asked the lady to put on the game and she said they didn't have it. If you want to watch Chive TV and Barney this is a great spot for that: Absolute joke at the bar.

Always a great time here and a fun spot to hangout at. Tom always takes great care of my friends and I when we come in. He is super friendly and very attentive to make sure we're taken care. The late night bites are great especially the margherita flatbread. Thank you for always making us feel welcome!

Tonight we were at Dave and busters, playing games and drinking at the bar. Kylie was our bartender and she was absolutely amazing! We ordered food pretty late and she still had the best attitude(which most servers or bartenders would find annoying)! But she was awesome and kept it nice!

My favorite place to play games and hang out. Service is always on point. But food always takes forever :( Our server today, Hannah, was amazing. So friendly, on top of everything. She noticed she started to wonder where our food was instantly and ran to the kitchen to find out without us having to actually ask. Like whaaat. Very knowledgeable too. Anyways, very clean facility, love love love the staff everytime i come here, but im sorry, food needs to come out faster. Our pepperoni pizza bite took way too long for what it is. 3 stars just because the service was amazing!

5 stars simply for the service and atmosphere! We've been to this D&B probably 20 times. But last night our great experience started with Evan at the guest services desk handling all our questions and making us laugh. Through a great night of games, Ryan and the bar staff keep drinks coming fast. And when we finally sat down for dinner, Vicky went above and beyond in helping our party of 6. And an unnamed manager was super kind for even letting us use a free app and dessert from a coupon / voucher from 2017 that my wife just found lol. Food was good as usual and the boys loved their burgers, fish & chips and my wife really liked her chicken tenders dinner. What stole the show was the queso dip!!!! Have that if you are there. Thank you to the entire staff for making our family celebration last night such a wonderful experience.

Games were a blast. Brand new equipment made it a pretty fun time. Unfortunately the entire experience was dampened by slow service and ridiculous pricing for the food given. Example: $11 for 4 TINY chicken tenders... couldn't feed a toddler let alone a grown man (pictured) Go here for the games, eat before hand, and get your drinks from the bar.

I've been taking my 16 yr. old Niece to Dave and Busters for and she always enjoys herself. She rarely leaves the house, Due to her having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), so she uses noise cancelling headphones. Right after purchasing a game card with cash, she had an ASD episode (panic attack) so the card went unused. The manager offered neither empathy nor a refund and stated that his system did not allow for a refund. It was disappointing for such a large company to not accept those with special needs/disabilities/or the mentally ill when life is tough enough for these KIDS. Attn: Dave and busters: Please educate ALL of your employees regarding Autism and ASD aka Autism Spectrum Disorder.

It is a small Dave & Buster's. It has a lot of game options but feels very cramped. The thermostat was broken or cranked up really high when I was there and it was very hot in there.
