I bought hot dogs today for myself and my son. The cashier was very nice and friendly — she even gave my son some play-dough and candy as a gift. It was such a pleasant surprise! The hot dogs were fresh and delicious, great prices and good selection. Thank you so much!❤️🙏

The ladies that work here are always kind. The place is super cheap. $7 for 2 dogs, chip, pickle, and drink. Always tastes good and the tootsie roll they put in each bag is just an extra special touch. 10/10 recommend.

The variety of items to get on your hot dog is vast! The dog's taste takes me back to when I was a kid! The toppings are fresh and the dogs are top notch! Thanks

This place is great! Tried it for lunch. It's cheap, quick, and easy. All beef dogs, too. Pictured are the original coney and a dog with chow chow and cheese. The lunch special was $7 - two dogs, drink, chips, pickle spear, and a couple tootsie rolls. Service was great.

Amazing choice of hot dogs to choose from or build your own with whatever you desire. You will not find more reasonably priced hotdogs anywhere else you go to in Knoxville. The servers work at a fast pace to get the food out to you in a timely manner and made how you order it. Daily specials that are prepared fresh, hot, and most importantly, at a price you can be happy with.

I'm not going to lie, I have passed this place several times on a daily basis. I've seen it, but never paid much attention. But today while in Powell, my other half was looking for a place to eat and mentioned here. I was like, "sure let's try it!" And I am glad we did. The lady is super nice and wonderful. It didn't take long to get our order and boy was it worth it. (Which was cheap by far) the food was amazing. From the food to the customer service was beyond 5 ⭐. Will definitely have to come here again. Feeding 2 people with the daily special for only $12. Best deal around. I look forward to the next visit. And if you've never tried this place. Definitely someone to try. Locals and tourists alike. Come here and try it.

I’ve been here a few times and today I finally got some nachos with chili and I got a massive portion for five dollars. Customer service was great the woman behind the counter was very polite very attentive. It’s a small little place but just good food and good service and good portions. I’ll pay double the price almost and get a third of that at the movies lol but I got a huge plate and she didn’t just pour cheese and chili on top she layered it so every nacho had chili and cheese on it.

Being from Chicago , i have been on the hunt for a good hot dog. Unfortunately this does not make the cut. It's a glorified home kitchen setting with hot dogs being cooked stovetop. Literally on a kitchen stove. The chilli was out of a can. No fries , bagged chips , canned soda. Save your money and get hot dogs from the store and cook yourself.

Very good and cheap. I got the daily special, two mustard and kraut dogs , chips, pickle and can of soda. I wanted to try the banana pudding but they ran out. Next time.

I have lived in Knoxville for 10 years and drove by this place on a daily basis... Had a family member in town who loves hotdogs and decided to give it a try. Gotta say, I now like hotdogs! People who run it are extremely nice and I was super happy to see that their health rating was 100! I had the lunch special with the Buffalo Blue and the Nuclear Dog - both were excellent and I can't wait to try some of their other varieties! Support a local business and give them a try!

Just a small brick shack. Amazing dogs. Got the daily special which is 2 dogs(Classic Coney and a Chicago dog), chips, drink (12oz can) and a pickle spear for less than $8.00. Taste is amazing. The chili on the Coney was pretty good. Will be back. Not bad for a quick lunch spot on the go.

Yum yum yum!! If you are not counting calories, you are not going to complain about BP and Cardiac issues then order up! This place has some good old fashion hot dogs! You can't beat the two dog, pickle, chips and a drink deal ($6.42 plus tax). I got chili, mustard and onions for my toppings. It was mouthwatering and just pure heaven. You can't eat it everyday but boy is it worth the wait when you do go and get some dogs! The dogs are cooked perfectly, the buns are fresh and you can eat it in your car!!

The Daily Special is a great deal...everything for $6 (tax included)! I am so glad I finally stopped here for a hot dog. I was craving a Chicago dog, but I learned Sonic discontinued their's, so I had to find a new place. Forget Sonic, this will be me new hot dog stand! I came craving a Chicago, but I think the Wayne's dog was better. It has chili, pimento cheese, onions, and celery salt...I added sauerkraut, ketchup, and mustard. Great service and food!

Dave's NEVER disappoints! Best value. Great health score. Great tasting food. And the staff and service is always top notch! It's a little place with a walk up window only. We always get it and take it to the park, or somewhere and have a picnic of some sort. We love it!

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!! I have been looking for a long time now for a really good place to get a great chili dog. I came here today because of all the good reviews. I got the Dave's special. 2 hot dogs, chips, a pickle and a drink for $7 tax included. This is a walk up business no dine in eating. The staff (2 ladies) were very friendly. The prices were very reasonable. But... That's where it ended for me. The chili for the hot dogs was very tasteless in my personal opinion and I don't know how that's possible but it was!! I mean like no flavor and I couldn't taste any spices at all in the sauce. How do you do that?!! I hate that too cause I was so looking forward to a great chili dog with flavor!! Next time I'll go to D&B's hot dogs over on Oak Ridge pike. They were much much better in my opinion. I gave them a try about a month ago and you can actually taste the flavor and seasoning in their sauce. They have a huge menu and ice cream desserts too!! Definitely worth the trip to D&B's!! Again this is just my personal opinion from some one who really loves a great chili dog!

Would definitely go back the only mistake I made was not ordering enough hotdogs. Two people where able to eat for $14 where can you do that in 2024.

Great hot dog stand at very affordable prices. We got the daily special which is two hot dogs (any way you want in the $2.00 price range which is on the left side of menu), chips, pickle and a drink all for just $5.49. Can't beat that. We opened our bags to find tootsie roll candy too....nice touch! Dave's also has chili, cole slaw, nachos and homemade potato salad I look forward to trying next time.

I really like this little hole in the wall hot dog place. Located in the same parking lot as the laundromat you can easily pass it up so make sure to drive slow and look closely. I crave a hot dog more often than not and this place definitely delivers a tasty dog (all beef too). Everything is fresh, and they are boiled hot dogs, FYI. I would love to find a place that actually grills the hot dogs. I seem to always go for the coney dog (chili, mustard & onions). I love the special - 2 dogs w/ chips & a drink for $4.99. If you find yourself having a craving and are in the area, go check this place out and meet the super nice owner, Dave - he'll fix ya up one mean dog! I'm a fan and hope you will be too! Wow! Drink, two dogs (any style), bag of chips, and a pickle for $7-great deal and delicious! Got my dogs coney style (my favourite) this time around, but I'm excited to try other styles!

If you're looking for a good old fashioned dog this is the place I got 2 original Coney Island dogs with cheese....excellent... 2 dogs for under 5 bucks you can't beat it

The BEST hotdog in Knox county. Had the Chicago dog, added sauerkraut and wasabi mustard. yes. Seeing stars and mind blown. It was amazing. The lunch special is insane. Two dogs ANY way you want it, chips, and a drink for $5.49. You can't make this hotdog at home without buying $40 worth of condiments. Also! This is critical, the Tamale is packed full of meat!!! It is amazing!! (Good golly tamale, come eat here and learn what a real tamale is like) There you have it! Knox County's BEST hot dawg and BEST Tamale. I'm bringing the whole entire family here next time. Thank you Dave's Dog House for being in my life now!

Not really sure what else you could want! Super fresh hot dogs - I got the special $6.00 even but of course leave a tip! I got chili cheese dogs, coke, and chips super yummy! Wish I had stopped by sooner - this is a gem!

HOT DOG!!!! Driving west on middle brook pike and I see this place and need to try it like now lol Best Dog in town funny what you can find if you just look. But look close this is a small location but worth the stop. HOT DOG!!!!!!!I will return .

OMG! The best hotdogs around! The choices are WOW! A hotdog with blue cheese crumbles, onion rings and hot sauce?!! Their menu is huge for such a little place. I also got a 'have a blessed day' when I left. THAT IS WONDERFUL. We need that

Best hot dogs in Knoxville!! I highly recommend stopping by and grabbing a couple! I have tried every one over the last year and they are all fantastic. Last time I went the hot dogs were not as hot though. Maybe it had to do with the toppings cooling it down.

Had two dogs (the Tex Amex, and the Jimmy G) and both would be in the top 5 best dogs I have ever ate. There is no skimping on ingredients or toppings, and at a very good price!

My wife and I had just finished up some shopping at Sam's, and I felt myself craving a hot dog. I searched for hot dogs on Yelp and we decided to go to the first place we found. Man, am I glad we did! The hot dogs at Dave's are GLORIOUS. I felt my soul transcending to another plane with each bite. My mouth wrote a love song for each morsel. Now I find myself longing, sitting outside in the rain remembering a better time, a sweeter time. Oh Dave's Doghouse, I long for you.

Congratulations on being the first place to score off the charts with me!! I wasn't expecting much from a little dog stand on the side of the road but dear god man you did magic. We were going thru town on vacation and wanted a small bite to eat. You left us feeling welcomed, were very informative and when we forgot something you walked it over to us. You'll forever be on our foodie map. Cudos and best of luck. We had the conies and they reminded me of the old schools you can't find anymore. For 3 dogs loaded down and nachos with 2 drinks under $10 you can't go wrong. I'll hit you up before I leave town again.

The sausage dog is great. When they have it, the Amish chow chow adds a tasty kick. Otherwise, a dill pickle spear is a nice addition. Lots of tasty choices and a daily special. If you are looking for a good dog, stop in. If you crave ambiance, maybe not. But hey, it's convenient if you need to do laundry while you enjoy that dog!

One of the best little hot dog places in Knoxville. My kids love it. We go there whenever we are in the area.

Some of the previous reviews make this place sound like a life changer. Well, it is not. It is a little hotdog stand that sells boiled hotdogs, with a ton of free toppings available. The hot dogs are good, but nothing special. I think I like grilled convenience store hotdogs better. I had two hotdogs, a bag of chips, a pickle, and a drink for five dollars, which isn't a bad price. It took about 20 minutes of standing in line to get it, and then I had to eat it in my car because there is no place to sit and eat. I would probably go back, if I was in the area and in the mood for a hotdog, but I wouldn't make a special trip for it.

I have eaten there more than 10 times. Make it point to stop by every time I work in the area. I can say I have never been disappointed .

The hotdogs are delicious and the prices are great. The Chicago dog is my fav. It's a must try!

Had the Coney yesterday and the "Tex-Mex" today. Very good. They use real onions not those dehydrated slop. Everything taste fresh.
