Dave's Hot Chicken

We came to Dave’s Hot Chicken in MD📍 We ordered the chicken slider with fries and a slushy drink. Our Chicken Slider was Thick like the a Chicken Sandwich, Juicy and made with Flavor with the Signature Dave Sauce. We did not get the other ingredients that were included on the slider sandwich. Staff customer service was welcoming patient and friendly. This restaurant has a vibrant atmosphere and was clean. Plenty of parking space at this location.

This is my 2nd visit to a Dave’s and the experience was similar both times. First off, the food tastes great. A couple sliders and fries with a 20oz beverage fills you up. The chicken is crispy on the edges and juicy inside and for me the medium sauce hits the spot with a lot of flavor and a good mild heat. The downside and the reason for the ding on the stars… #1 is the speed of delivery. On a Sunday night I walked in the door and directly to the counter with no line and my receipt says I ordered at 8:37 with my food given to me at 8:52 (though it says 8:47 on the box). There was very little action in the dine in area and about 6 orders ahead of me from various online platforms. 15 mins is not fast food or even fast casual… previous experience was also about 15 mins to get food. This is not a place to go if you are in a rush. #2 is that they ask you if you want sauce or ketchup but then they are stingy with what they give. 3 ketchup packs don’t cut it and if you ask for more it’s like you are putting them out. At $19 for a meal Just put some napkins and ketchup in the bag and know you are going to have better customer satisfaction rather than annoyance. Total cost was $19.04 for #2 meal with cheese added to the sandwiches and a bottle of soda I’ll also 2nd the person who said the music was loud at this location too in the dining area The food Is good but not sure the wait is worth the hassle.

Fresh and delicious. The inside is very cute, and you have a lot of seating options to choose from. I got a slider with cheese fries. The slider was juicy and flavorful, and the cheese fries with Dave’s sauce tasted PHENOMENAL! Additionally, there is very convenient parking close by at Tivoli Square, only spent around $5 for 2 hours. I will definitely be back!!

First time going there. First of all the customer service was top notch. She was friendly, smiling, helpful and patient. I went Sunday evening and there was a group of kids inside so it was a bit loud at times during ordering. But, I’m not complaining about the kids. Young adults will go where the food and cost are good. Chicken I got was on the mild side. Moist chicken, not one tender was overcooked. The fries are amazing and crispy. Order was paged quickly. I waited in my car for the pager to go off. I also got the frozen Hi-C. By far my favorite! Will definitely be back!

The food is absolutely delicious. The portion size is incredibly large. The fries are super crispy instead of soggy waffle fries from a local competitor. The cauliflower bites were the best I've ever had. The staff were friendly and helpful. They were always smiling while being very busy. I cannot return here because the atmosphere is absolutely abysmal. The acoustics of this restaurant amplifies the noise and it becomes deafening. You literally scream to the clerk your order. You scream to anyone in your party when trying to communicate. I do not want to have carry out so I can eat cold chicken at home. If you are fine with my caveat, it's easily the best chicken joint in Montgomery county. Personally, I cannot deal with the atmosphere regardless of how great the food is. *Update 08/2025* Still delicious. Still extremely loud. No more cauliflower bites :(

If you haven’t tried Dave’s Hot Chicken yet, you’re seriously missing out! Their food is absolutely amazing, and I can’t get enough of it. My personal favorite is the single cauliflower tender. It’s perfectly crispy on the outside while staying tender and juicy on the inside a total game changer for a plant-based option! Another must-try is the Dave’s #2 combo, which comes with two mouthwatering sliders. Whether you pair it with fries or their creamy mac and cheese, you can’t go wrong. Every bite is packed with flavor, and it’s all made even better by their incredible customer service. The staff is super friendly, and the service is fast, ensuring you’ll keep coming back for more. One of the best parts? You can customize the spice level, ranging from not spicy to super spicy so hot that you might find yourself signing a waiver! 😆 I find myself going to Dave’s Hot Chicken at least once a week it’s just that good!

Enthusiastic and friendly server was a great introduction to our first experience at this chain. The chicken tenders were larger than we had expected. Good flavor and the meat was good quality

Me and the wife’s First time trying Dave’s and man it was soooo good. Would definitely give it a 10/10 I’m not even a big spice or heat person because I just cannot handle it but it was just so good to not try. Jason was great he was chill had great customer service. Definitely will be coming back.

The only downsides to Dave's hot chicken is the wait is long if you order dine in and the food gives me heart burn lol Otherwise I think it's a great chicken joint to add to the chicken sandwich economy around here. Some days I prefer basic chix sandwiches (chick fil a) some days prefer Nashville style (hangry joes) when I want something seasoned over the top, I come here. I like how everything is seasoned like crazy (it's called flavor yall) the fries are seasoned as well which makes them great on their own without the sauce. Also, the sandwiches are fairly priced in my opinion, in today's day and age anything under $10 is a win.

For one thing, I'm a little upset that it took so long for me to try this place. They were trending all over Tik Tok with people raving over the chicken and various customizations. So of course I had to try. You mean that levels of spice actually match the description? The medium is actually a medium? I've been waiting for this. The chicken is always perfectly cooked, juicy, and hot. The buns are soft and complement the meal just the way they're supposed to. I enjoy slaw and pickles, and that you can easily remove them while ordering via app. The fries are...inconsistent. Sometimes they're crunchy and flavorful and exactly what you want. Other times they're a sloppy mess that could be turned into a frittata the next day. The cauliflower bites...wow oh wow oh wow! Much better than expected, and taste great with Dave's sauce. I could eat them every day. The staff is friendly, the establishment is clean, and service is fairly quick. A solid choice if you happen to be in the area :) *update: the cauliflower bites taste great cold.-*

Visited this location and the customer service was absolutely fantastic. I was greeted by a member of staff upon arrival. The store was clean and organized. I ordered the 1 tender, 1 slider and fries combo with regular drink on the side. The chicken was crispy, well cooked and flavorful-i ordered extra hot and it was exactly that. Absolutely love the Dave's sauce which paired well with the meal. Cant wait to come back and try more food options.

This just opened up the street from me. I had the chicken slider with fries. Everything was seasoned so well and the one slider was plenty for lunch! Will be back again!

Went for the first time the other day & it was not busy at all around 2pm. Had a 6-minute wait after ordering. The only issue that was the music was so loud I could barely hear the guy taking my order. I had got the mild 2 tenders which was sweet but spicy. The guy at the front did help and was such a sweetheart, he was very informative about what sauces they have. I wish they could let you dry the flavors ahead of ordering to know which one is better or even a wet sauce instead of all of it being a dry rub. I must say the fries were perfectly crunchy & had a seasoning on them - they are a must with the Daves sauce YUM. I personally didn't like flavor of the chicken and would much rather go to CFA for my chicken. It's worth trying out once to see what the hype is about, but definitely probably wouldn't go back.

I recently stopped in to try this new spot in the white oak town center. It was not the best. I got a 10 piece with fries, and it came with pickles and bread. The medium had a nasty flavor , but the fries and pickles were ok. The place was fairly clean. And the service was fast! Everyone was friendly. Didn't enjoy my food.

This is my new spot now. I feel like I am at Good Burger! It's all about the sauce. The staff are very friendly and efficient as well.

Portions are big and seasoning is perfect. I enjoyed both hot and medium. I ordered once for pickup and at the restaurant.

Don't get me wrong the service was good and the workers were on top of their game, but the food was just about as expected. Nothing too crazy compared to any other fried chicken fast food joint.

Service was great. Ambiance is nice, place is well decorated. But the food was flavorless. First of all, I was expecting a chicken sandwich not tenders on a hamburger bun with some weird slimy slaw and disgusting sauce. And why is it called a slider, was very confusing, just call it a sandwich. The fries tasted like ones I make at home in the air fryer. I've been wanting to try Dave's for so long and was excited when it opened nearby but totally disappointed and will not be returning. Hangry Joes is 100% better!

Trash food. For a place that does one thing they don't even do it well. Chicken was over fried, rubbery and completely overcoated in spices and breading. They were even heavy handed on the spices they put on the fries. I think the point is to over spice everything so your tastebuds are overwhelmed with heat and take your mind off the fact that this is just crap food. Plus there was something resembling a hair or fabric strand on one of the pickles in my order. It says something when you can't even best Chik-Fil-A. No way am I ever coming back here.

Underwhelming, overpriced! Don't understand the hype on this place. The seasoning is reminiscent of industrial cleanser. Hard pass!

I really wanted to like this but I couldn't. The chicken was juicy and well cooked and the service was great despite the place being newly opened and jammed packed but the flavor was a no for me. It was overly sweet even with the spices. It was overpoweringly full of brown sugar even with the medium and hot level of spice. And it's on the fries too so there's nowhere in your meal to go to balance out the sweet. Just not my jam for flavor unfortunately so won't be back. But if that's your thing then Dave's is your place.

Amazing experience! Love the food, Jason was absolutely committed to great service and friendly. props to him!! The atmosphere was great. i definitely liked everything. food and customer service. Keep up the work! Definitely recommend! i'll for sure be coming back soon again!

Amazing restaurant/environment, great food, top-teir customer service!! I've been here 3 times since they have opened and everytime has been wonderful. I've had good experiences with Gabriella at the front, lots of energy and ready to take my order. Also great times with Yaovi, Jason, Bryan, Saifan as servers and just helping me out as I eat, they were eager to help out whenever needed. 10/10 and don't eat the reaper spicing, it's bad lol
