Dave's Hot Chicken

This food is really good! The quality of everything was on point, the portions were great for the value and I love the combo deals that allow you to try move options. I tried the tender and sandwich combo with mac n cheese and my girlfriend and I share the load fries and everything was so delicious. I lived in Nashville for a few years and one thing I missed was the hot chicken, but no more! Great spot!

I’m blown away by the level of service I received at the beginning of the lunch rush today. Chase was an extremely pleasant and professional young man! You don’t see that level of respect in the fast food industry anymore. I hade to share my gratitude with not only Chase but Nick as well. He was running a well oiled machine very efficiently. You could see the support and joy on his teams face in the kitchen as well. Overall a very positive experience and I haven’t even tore into this juicy Daves#3. My man Chase hooked me up with a great recommendation for lunch with my wife. What a blessing 10-outa-10!!! We will be back!

Everything was perfect the staff were extremely welcoming and had a great vibe the food was amazing I can’t express how good the sliders are I never leave reviews but this specific DHC left a great impression came twice this week will be a returning costumer from now on

I had to run and try Dave’s Hot Chicken again and once again it’s still delicious and the same delicious flavorful chicken that I look forward to. Positive experience again keep up the good work! I had been wanting to try Dave’s for awhile now and I finally got around to it. This place didn’t disappoint! The menu was simple and easy to choose from. I got the chicken slider with 1 side tender. It was well presented and up to par! Also tasted really good with the pickles, the sauce and the seasoning they include. It’s a little pricey, and I kind of wish a drink was included with the combo, but overall it was still a good experience and I would come back again! Good job! 😎

Honestly the only downfall was the parking. It was so busy but it was also near lunch time so it made sense. Otherwise, food was amazing and surely lives up to the hype. Everything was fresh and flavorful.

Wow, didn’t know what to expect at all but was delighted. Fun, friendly atmosphere, fast service, and terrific chicken sandwich (aka slider). The slaw, pickles, bun and spicy chicken go really well together - so tasty! The fries were really tasty and crunchy, but I question the crinkly fries approach. I guess they hold the spice better and are maybe viewed as fun, but fries are taken more seriously when they’re freshly cut and deep fried. Just my personal preference, but again, really tasty. Highly recommend and will definitely come back.

This was my 1st time ever eating here. I came in 30 minutes before closing (which I didn't know:) but the cashier Syria & the manager Nick were awesome!! They did not rush me while I was asking questions & trying to figure out what I wanted, even though there was 7 people in line behind me & let me reiterate it a 30 minutes before closing:) The atmosphere was happy & energetic by the whole staff! Santos went above and beyond to help me out! He quickly got my order started at the Charlotte location and made the entire experience stress-free. His stellar customer service truly stood out and was the highlight of my visit. The food is always fantastic, and because of this great customer service, I’ll definitely keep coming back. We've been in Charlotte for a couple years now but never tried Dave's Hot Chicken until now. It did NOT disappoint. The service was stellar from when we walked in the door. The food was absolutely amazing and made to order so came out hot and fresh! The chicken was perfectly breaded and it was spicy! (I ordered the hot). The fries were perfect as well and their house sauce was fantastic. Will absolutely be back again!

First time here and we were helped by Syria. She helped us with the menu and suggested items to order. What spicy level to order. We got medium and hot tenders and sliders. Their Hot is truly hot. If you can't handle spicy food, suggest sticking with medium and lower spicy levels. There was cool graffiti around the restaurant and plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Would definitely go back and recommend anyone to try them out!

Tenders (4/5): Big pieces of chicken that were lightly breaded and full of seasoning. I wish there was a little more crunchiness, but at the same time I'm glad they weren't over breaded. The spice blend was good (I'm right in between medium and hot) and I liked the dipping sauce (pretty typical thousand island type sauce).  Sliders (4/5): The slider is just a tender on a bun with some sauce and slaw on it. The bun is very mediocre, and since the tenders come with white bread, I didn't think there was much of a difference between getting tenders and sliders (besides the slaw which wasn't anything special). Cheese is also optional. Fries (4/5): Nice crinkle cut fries with a good amount of crispiness. Well seasoned too.  RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

Had my first visit to Dave's today for a late lunch. Was a little put off by the prices when I ordered a slider. Took a few minutes to get my food--they were pretty busy--but man, was it good. Their "slider" is the same size as everyone else's "sandwich." The pricing makes more sense when you realize that. I got mine "medium" but will take it up a couple notches next visit. My chicken was moist and hot and cooked well. I will certainly return for more!

I don't get the hype surrounding this place at all. It's Drake's chicken shop so I guess that's it. The food is gross and stomach ache worthy. The flavor of the seasoning is not even good. There's so much of this flavorless powder caked on and it is not good, dude. Crinkle cut fries? JAIL.There's way better fried chicken and chicken tenders at all the locally owned eateries.

I think I've found my new favorite chicken spot. The chicken was so good and crispy. The chicken was so well seasoned/marinated as well. I got medium spiciness which isn't spicy at all if you're a fan of spicy foods. The sauce reminds me of Raising Cane's (which is one of my favorite chicken sauces). The fries were thick cut but somehow still very crispy. The customer service is unbelievable too. Everyone I talked to was extremely nice and happy to help. They went out of their way to go above and beyond to make sure I had a good experience. I wish we had a location closer Greensboro.

The server was so nice and helpful!! It's quick service, so you go up and order and they call your number out. The menu is different variations of chicken and a couple sides, nothing too out of the box. They do have shakes as well. The food was good!! It's huge portions too so I had some to take home. I got the medium sauce and it really wasn't too spicy but the person I went with said the hot is really hot. They do let you mix and match flavors!!

These are definitely the best chicken tenders I've ever had! They were so crispy and had so much flavor. I got mild heat so it wasn't spicy but still had so much flavor since they were seasoned well. The sauce was delicious and the employees were happy to give extra sauce if you asked. The fries were really good and crispy too, and I love how you can add cheese sauce to them. The inside has a good amount of seats and the customer service is great. It was our first time ordering so the cashier took his time explaining the menu to us and giving us recommendations.

Since I was going to be in the neighborhood, I planned on getting lunch from here to bring home. I've heard good things about this chain and my hubby and I have been missing good quality, spicy chicken. We were not disappointed. I arrived soon after it opened but there were already people there. After ordering, I turned around and the line was out the door. Wow! The place was very clean and both Doug and the young lady behind the counter were pleasant and helpful. (Sorry I forgot her name.) I ordered two #2s: 2 sliders with fries. I had no idea the size, so two sliders sounded reasonable. Let me tell you, that might be a slider bun, but the "tender" inside is huge! (One slider would be enough for me.) I ordered it as it came, with the addition of American cheese. Medium spice too. Let me say, this is high quality chicken. Thick, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Medium spice was perfect for me, enjoyable but not killer. (Hubby wants to try the hot next.) Just enough toppings without overkill, and super soft bun. The pickles were nice and savory, not sweet. The fries had a nice seasoning. There was a sign that said free milkshake for checking in on Yelp, so I took advantage of that. Really good chocolate milkshake. Dave's Hot Chicken is definitely a place you should try. Looking forward to coming back!

Mmmm mmmm good. I chose the slider and tender combo with fries and I wouldn't change a thing. This is a full meal and more than a lunch portion. The slider is bigger than what I would expect for "slider-sized" - it's a full size sandwich. Service was friendly and my food didn't take too long. Though considering the menu has three main things - sliders, tenders, fries - I'm surprised it took as long as it did. The food was hot and it was fresh. My "medium" still had some kick to it and a lot of flavor The restaurant is mostly clean. There's a side of the seating area that they can't see from the register so when a customer failed to bus their own table, it wasn't cleaned for 10+ minutes until someone walked around. I lived in Nashville for 11 year's, and Dave's is some of the best hot chicken I've ever had! If you like spicy, I recommend the extra hot, because the hot was more like medium to the 3 of us who had lunch there. I would have given this a 5, but the Mac and cheese was terrible, to the point where after two bites the both of us who ordered it had to stop. It didn't look it, but it smelled and tasted like burnt ash. But all you need is the chicken and the fries. I will be back!

Dave's hit the spot after a hot day of yard work! I just wish there was something between the medium and the hot. Medium was very mild this time, not much spice at all. The hot is teetering on the edge of too spicy. I love the crunchy chicken, delicious sauce, buttery bun and crunchy pickles. I wish ya'll would open a location in South Charlotte ASAP!

I tried the new cauliflower bites and omg they are delicious! I felt kinda oily in my stomach after eating all this fried food so I may have to prepare better next time because I can't stop eating here, it's too good! I love the medium spice, it's just enough to enjoy the flavor without burning your mouth. It's easy to share the 2 pack sliders with a friend if you're not super hungry. Don't forget about the quick outside pick up window!

I had been wanting to try this place for a while but honestly didn't know where it was. We happened to stumble upon it and I'm so glad we did. The cashier Naomi was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Both of us got Dave's #3 which comes with 1 tender (slice of bread) + 1 slider and fries. We added cheese and also ordered a milkshake. Everything we ordered was really flavorful and cooked to perfection. The tenders has a nice crisp but we're juicy. The description of the heat index was spot on! I went with the "hot" and hubby went with medium. Our number was called quickly and they even have the speaker set up so you can hear when your foods ready from the outside seating. Friendly staff, clean sitting read and food that didn't disappoint = We'll be back!

Dave's is a good spot when you want a tasty meal, but somewhere between fast food and table service (wait staff). The location is in a popular area of Plaza Midwood so it's very walkable to bars and shops once you park in their lot. Indoor decor is spray painted murals and floor to ceiling windows let in a lot of sunlight. The milkshakes are perfect. Very underrated and I could go just for that. Fries are awesome too. The chicken sandwich spice levels are fun to test your limits, however the chicken is good but not great. That's why it's only 4 stars. I also tried the Dave's NOT chicken aka cauliflower and it was good but shouldn't be more expensive than chicken in my opinion. Lastly, if you like the rapper Drake, he has ownership in this franchise.

Everything is just, okay to below average, except the size of the tenders. Dave's is solidly in overrated territory. Meaty tenders - check, well cooked, but the chicken alone really doesn't have much flavor. Not Meat - love the cauliflower, crispy, juicy, and a great chicken alternative...but $2 extra...for a veggie substitute is a consumer crime. Sauce - meh Fries - mid Slaw - mid Mac - please someone get them a new corporate chef. Spice-level - As hot as you want it. I have tried them all, and hot is about the best flavor/heat combo for me personally. None of their heat levels provide outstanding flavor. Anything below Medium is just not good flavor wise. Ghost is tear-inducing (among other things). After several tries at this, I have come to the conclusion that I'd rather have basic buffalo tenders than not-Nashville hot chicken. Every time I go, I feel MEH about it... and after I eat it, I feel MEH about it.

I was ecstatic when I heard we were getting a Dave's in Charlotte. Frankly, it hasn't disappointed. I've been here a few times and every experience has been 5 ! Ordering is very simple. The menu is easy and they also have a app which makes it even easier. I get a tender and a slider with fries. I've tried all flavors except reaper. I get the tender hot usually and the slider extra hot. I think it is accurately flavored by the description so just know that when you order. The amount of food you get and the quality of the food is spot on. The service is always good. Everyone who works there is friendly and very patient when you aren't sure what you want. They do make everything to order so it's always hot when you get it. There aren't a lot of seats in the restaurant but they do have outdoor seating. The restaurant is in a parking center that is a little tight but completely manageable. If you haven't been, you need to go and experience the hotness

If you ate looking for boring pasture-raised, low-sodium, organic food, this is not your place! This is THE place for good old delicious fried street food! BANG! This fast-food restaurant chain offers tasty fried chicken burgers with delicious and crispy french fries. There are choices of four meals and quite a few options of hot sauce levels. The ambiance is colorful, fun and common areas and restrooms are clean. Staff is corteus and friendly. It's centrally located and easy to find in a plaza with other restaurants. The shared free parking lot has a few spots, but it gets crazy full during busy hours. Overall, a fun and delicious choice to cheat on your healthy and fat-free diet. Good stuff!

Go to Dave's now!! I have been a few times and really enjoy it. I had been following Dave's on Instagram for some time and was excited to see that a Charlotte location was coming. I have attended the grand opening, Drake's birthday (he is an investor), and Dave's birthday events - all had promos for a free slider! Event days are busy, so I'd suggest going right when they open. I go here about once a month and usually choose to dine in. The food comes out quickly! The chicken is juicy and the bread is soft - great quality. I like hot chicken so order the hot or extra hot. I haven't dared to try the reaper yet. You can see in my pictures that the sliders are pretty big, so one is enough for me (especially if you add a side)! The only negative here is that the parking lot can fill up quickly. Bonus points for their friendly and efficient service and for having Cherry Coke and good ice at the soda fountain. It's kept clean here, which can be hard to do for busy, fast casual places. The decor is awesome and every time I go, I see something "new!"

Please stop hyping food up that isn't good. Chicken is waaayyy over seasoned. We all go the medium spice. It's seasoned to the point where it's just dry seasoning that you taste.. Taste like I took a bite of a small piece of chicken with 2tbsp of dry seasoning. Is the chicken crispy, yes it is. But the dry mix isn't good.. The sauce that came with it is bland, the slaw is useless. The best thing was the pickles and fries. Way overhyped for nothing. Hate I brought the whole family to try it. Service was ok. Place was empty but clean. Tea was just ok. All 5 of us agreed it wasn't worth the trip, time or Money. Also fyi milkshakes should not be watery.

Stopped by a few weeks ago with my husband and it was definitely busy! Took around 35-ish minutes to get our food after ordering. Order numbers are loudly called out which is a bit annoying as it is really loud plus the music. It was hard to have a conversation even while ordering. Customer service: it was okay, set up like a fast food restaurant. Food: they have different levels of spicy-ness. I got the mild and my husband got a spicier option. Surprisedly it wasn't really that spicy for him despite it being near the top of the chart. Overall, food was decent - not amazing but also not bad. Husband rates it a 4 it's more like a 3.5 for me

It's finally safe to go without there being a line out the door 24/7. My most recent trip was on a Sunday around 12pm and there was no line. The ordering process is quick and it took about 7 minutes for my food to be prepared. I usually try the hot or extra hot which are both good. I do want to try the reaper since it's only one level up from extra hot. The food is always hot and fresh and prepared to order since you get to decide your spice level. It can get a little crowded in the waiting area since the line/waiting/dining area are all located in the same area. They have online ordering available so you have people constantly coming in just to grab and go. The online ordering seems very efficient and effective for those who don't want to wait for their food to be prepared right after ordering.

Finally made it across town to Dave's because I was craving a chicken sandwich. I know. Weirder things have happened in my life. First things first: the chicken is really flavorful. For sure. It IS very good. I had mine seasoned to hot but it wasn't as spicy as the medium heat Buffalo wings I get at most places. My husband, with a much higher heat tolerance, got the hottest (reaper) and said it was too hot to enjoy the flavor. I therefore look with a little trepidation at extra hot. Is it a big step up from hot, or a big step down from reaper?! I suppose we shall see. Anyway, the size of sandwich is interesting. The name "slider" is misleading because it's bigger than what you'd expect one of those to be (so don't order the two-slider meal thinking it's two small things; it's not) but it's not quite the size of a regular sandwich. I mean like maybe 5% smaller? The bun's shape is really what makes it seem like an oddity and feels like a little smaller than the average sandwich roll...which is fine. I think the contents are properly sized. The fries, by the way, are crinkle cut and quite tasty. I tried some plain before slathering them in cheese, which of course makes all things better. Except sushi. So why a four-star and not a five-star review for what is obviously a very good chicken sandwich and fries? Hmm. It's very good. But it's not "drive across town and stand in line for an hour" great. It's "I'm hungry; is there much of a line?" good. Probably the second-best chicken sandwich in the city. Very solid entry. Worth a wait. Worth a drive. But reasonable ones. :)

Food tasted very ordinary. There is nothing special or amazing about this chicken. I could microwave frozen nuggets and fries that would taste better than this. The Mac n cheese tasted like body odor and smelled like the restaurant did inside. I would say that you should save your money and not get this chicken because it is not worth it at all. They also do not have ranch and their Dave's Hot Chicken sauce tastes like body odor as well. The smell of the restaurant and food lingers everywhere. Save your nostrils, taste buds, money and gas.

Fantastic service from the moment I walked in, as I was greeted with a welcome and a smile from the enthusiastic young lady behind the counter. When I informed her it was my first time, she excitedly explained the concept and provided personal recommendations as well (I got the 2 sliders - one hot and one medium w/ a side of fries). They called my order number after a short wait and offered me a cup to take advantage of the free water, which is always nice. The food was plentiful, flavorful and the sliders had just the right amount of spice on each, while the fries were hot and crispy. Enjoyed every bite and had no problem cleaning my plate as this was one instance where reality lived up to the hype. As I was walking out, the young lady at the register asked if I liked her recommendations and thanked me for giving them a shot. Customer service seems to be a lost art at times, but Dave's Hot Chicken found it and then some, as they truly demonstrated excellence of execution from start to finish. Welcome to the five star club, very well deserved!

So, I finally got to check out Dave's Hot Chicken last night and it was just okay to me. Nothing bad happened, the service was great, the interior was dope with all the wall art and the UFO on the ceiling. The lovely young lady at the register was super helpful and told us it was only her 2nd day!!!! Couldn't believe that because she was great! Wish I remembered her name, but thanks so much to her! I'm not a spicy food person so I didn't try the spicy chicken. I had the no spice (boring I know lol) and it was just okay. I'm all for a fried chicken sandwich but this one seems to be missing something. And maybe it's the spice lol. Maybe a bone spicy chicken sandwich just doesn't work here so I'm not knocking Dave for that at all. It wasn't bad by any means just not very flavorful and nothing stood out when I would take a bite. So, with that said, I'm assuming the hot chicken is the best bet. Get that lol. Seems like a cool spot for all you spice lovers but for me and my baby spice buds...we shall not be returning.

Sooo of course I've been hearing all the buzz. When my neighbor's son quit his job at a grocery store to work here I was like wait just a minute, I MUST try this chicken. Coming from Harrisburg, a nice little drive. It's right across the street from Harris Teeter on The Plaza. Cute decor. Parking was fine when we got there but I also went on off hours intentionally (2:30). No wait but it took us some time to figure out what we wanted and understand the menu. Thanks to Quita it all worked out. I really should have read the reviews first, it would have saved me a lot of money! I was ordering for 6 people. If you've never been here, READ THIS REVIEW. There are 4 meals you can order. A mixture of sliders and tenders. Trust me when I say the slider is as filling as a chicken sandwich. The tenders are HUGE. I could have split a meal with my daughter and been good. Not a lot of space to eat inside the restaurant. There is outdoor seating. Our order was mixed up but Quita went above and beyond to correct. We'll be back!

I really enjoy Dave's ultimately because the food is great and it comes at a reasonable value. I have been here twice and each time I have gotten the slider meal which comes with two sliders (you can have each slider a different level of spicy! Perfect for sharing). The meal includes crinkle fries as well. The total is $14. The sliders are actually pretty large and I was satisfied after 1. I love the soft bun they come on. I have gotten my sliders as a mild spicy which has been perfect for me.. mild indeed. I have also had bites of the medium spicy sandwich which wasn't too hot, luckily, I don't think the spicy scale has huge jumps in spiciness. The portion of chicken on the sandwich is definitely satisfying, much more than just a chicken tender. Again, the slider meal is perfect for sharing as these sandwiches are heavy! Service has been quick and friendly each time,

Dave's Hot Chicken hit all the marks for us - awesome location, cool vibe, friendly & fast service, and PHENOMENAL food. My husband described it as "a trendy Zaxby's" (in a good way), and I couldn't agree more. The menu is very simple - chicken tenders and/or sliders, fries, and a few shakes/sides. Just what you want in a place like this. I ordered the #4 slider & fries (medium spice level) - the chicken was crispy and juicy (I think I could have even gone up to hot - it wasn't quite as hot to me as the staff member said it would be), the bun was buttery and soft, the kale slaw and pickles added a wonderful crunch/acidity, the sauce was addicting, and the fries were better than average for crinkle-cut (had some good seasoning on them). All in all, great spot for a quick, comfort-food lunch or dinner in the heart of Plaza Midwood. We will definitely be back!

Dave's Hot Chicken So my sister picked me up some Dave's Hot Chicken and brought it to work for me. I ordered the #3 the slider and tender combo medium. When she got the combo to me the fries still had a little crunch to them. They were well seasoned. I ate the slider cold a couple hours later. The flavor was good. It was just the right amount of spice for me. I loved the cool crisp cole slaw and the pickles. They really enhance the slider. I also added honey!!! Delicious!!! Now for the tender. It was on top of white bread. By the time I ate it at home the bread was soggy. I added the pickles and popped it in the air fryer to reheat. I added the Dave's sauce and honey and it too was yummy. Hot chicken possibilities! Flavor profiles include Reaper, Extra Hot, Hot, Medium , Mild, Light Mild, and No Sauce. Menu offers just enough options to keep things simple quick and easy. The staff are pleasant and helpful if you just can't decide. We ordered a Hot chicken slider with 1 no sauce tender and fries. I would consider the slider to be on the extra large side. The heat was just enough anymore would require several cups of water. The No sauce tender was fried but a bit bland to me so a flavor may be needed. There is a small amount of indoor seating but ample additional outdoor seating. Perfect spot to grab a fast hot and tasty lunch.

I've been so excited for Dave's to come to Charlotte! I went a few days after the opening and it was great! From the time I walked in, to the time I got my food was half an hour. I expected it to be longer but they were really quick! Service was great and I love that they have a lot of outdoor seating. I ordered the Dave's #2 meal which comes with 2 sliders and fries. The sliders are really big, bugger than some chicken sandwiches at other restaurants. I got the medium spice level and it had a nice little kick. Next time I will try the hot! The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The sauce is amazing! The fries were very tasty and well seasoned. It also comes with a lot of pickles, which I loved!

YUM. This is how you do hot chicken. I ordered the slider with fries, mild. I decided to play it safe because you never know how a restaurants heat level will be. I definitely think the mild chicken is less hot than I expected, but that's not a bad thing. It was delicious. I will just order the hot next time. Our food came out quick, it was perfection. I can't wait to come back. This is as close to Nashville hot chicken as you can get around here. Also, it's dog friendly on the patio!

Halal chicken for the win The food was really good I ordered the two sliders meal with two different spice levels. My favorite was the mild. I loved the crispiness slaw and the sauce. The fries were excellent too. The customer service was great! The place was packed both times I ordered from there one on a weekday the other on a weekend.

Finally someplace in Charlotte that serves Nashville hot chicken. Having had Nashville, hot chicken and other cities I could say that Dave's is the best that I have had even though I have not been to Nashville. This is in the heart of Plaza Midwood, and has parking, I know some of y'all like it already. It's kind of pricey, but isn't everything else now? At least it's very tasty and the service is prompt. Try their milkshakes as well. They are very tasty. I recommend sitting outside if the weather is nice because inside is very loud and echoing, and can be very overwhelming.

This was my second time here and it was good! The first time it was way too long because the restaurant recently opened and I went during dinner time so the line was long. Food was delicious both times. I recommend getting the sliders and tenders if you are hungry. I got mild and hot the second time. Still wasn't hot enough. My friends got their hottest level and said it was not hot. The Mac and cheese was good. Service was faster the second time. Ambiance was nice. Overall, I didn't have a high expectation going into this place but it exceeded my expectations for a hot chicken restaurant.

It was good, but did not meet the expectations that were set by others who have visited the establishment in the past. I thought it had great flavor and was quite tasty. The portions were a very generous size. I had the chicken finger slider meal and had to take half home. The wait staff was excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. Big smile greeted everyone and they were all professional. I was impressed with the way they dealt with the customers. I would definitely eat here again.

This was my first time having this restaurant on the east coast, as I initially tried it out in Las Vegas while visiting the area. I was happy to see that the vibe of the restaurant and the amazing food were still the same whether in Vegas or Charlotte! It's a small and busy restaurant but staff was friendly and quick to get out orders. They were also patient and helpful to other guests who were visiting for the first time, providing suggestions and answers any questions. I liked how upbeat the restaurant felt even though we came to eat closer to closing time. The chicken is very spicy but also juicy, pairing really well with the fresh and well seasoned fries! I am glad Dave's has expanded out to this area and hope to see more of them! I recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes spicy chicken and modern vibe!

Staff was friendly and would come around to EVERY table outside to make sure you were okay. Even the manager Dave came by and was super nice and friendly. Now lets talk about this food...FRICKEN AMAZING. I had a tender left over and ate it cold to ultimate satisfaction. I will ALWAYS stop by and grab a plate from this clean, fast, and friendly establishment. They should have 15 's because they would still deserve 25.

We got two of the #2's- ordered them hot. Flavor was awesome. I love spicy food and the hot was just right. You could go hotter but it's not necessary. Flavor was explosive- just so many different spices that were used and worked so well together. Me and my mom both enjoyed the chicken and the special sauce they use. I also liked that the included extra pickles and sauce. The slaw on the sandwich is delicious- I would have bought extra if I had thought of it. My daughter got the strawberry shake- I would use a straw for a little one. I've been to Joella's in Lexington which is also a hot chicken spot and I love them- Joelle's and Dave's- equally and for different reasons. Anytime I'm in Charlotte I'll be lucky if I get the chance to stop in again. Also staff was super friendly and even helped my mom carry our food to the table because I had run out to the car for a second to get my daughter a jacket. Great food and great experience!

Cluck me that was good. Dave knows how to make some damn good hot chicken. That sandwich covered all the bases to make good chicken. It was crunchy, juicy, and a ton of flavor. The pickles and sauce have my mouth watering. The service was quick and friendly and they push out orders quickly. The art in the restaurant really pops out on you. The restaurant had a good ambiance with the neon lights and chicken/ hornet. Only things I'd critique was the fries & the Mac and cheese. Mac & cheese was a bit bland and crinkle fries aren't my favorite personally. Lastly, please put some blinds up. The sun was blasting half the restaurant. I'll be back soon, don't you worry.

Great spot. Super nice staff. Tasty food and a fun atmosphere. Very small dining area with good music and fun decor. Very clean and tidy. Bathrooms are gender neutral and clean with baby changing stations. Hot was plenty hot enough for me. Will definitely go back.

Loved the pick up window! Super convenient for quick online order and pickup system. I ordered 2 medium tenders with fries, and my husband ordered 2 medium sliders. I'm more sensitive to spice and thought mine was relatively spicy, he did not think his was spicy at all. Overall good food but pretty expensive!

Hot and good tasting food, fun ambiance and excellent service. Very good consistency with their food.
