Dave's Hot Chicken

My first time at this (Fairfax) Dave's HC. The Dave's Bites had very little flavor, but I did ask for no spice, perfect for kids. As for my Chicken Slider, this sandwich was amazing; chicken was juicy, soon the saltiness and the spices hit my tongue, with a hint of curry, followed by a little heat. The crinkle fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the center, very satisfying. Our plates also came with stacks of crunchy pickle slices and a dipping sauce.

Had seen a short on them on a FB group- and then my daughter wanted to try them. We ordered take away and after our 35 min commute home, the food was still good!! Very impressed! 🇦🇲

The chicken was perfectly crispy, super juicy, and packed with flavor. 🤤🔥 The sliders were loaded and delicious, and the tenders were huge and cooked perfectly. The service was quick, the staff was super friendly, and the whole vibe of the place was great for hanging out with friends. 🙌😄 Definitely one of the best chicken spots around. We’ll 100% be coming back! 🔥🍟🥤

Good ambiance, very good staff, neat and clean place to have your lunch or dinner. The chicken in my slider was probably overcooked or something as it was very dry, unlike Dave’s. But still we had a good time there.

Unfortunately there were multiple short strands of hair in my food and I had to throw it away... I’m not sure if workers wear hairnets. I didn’t see it until I had a few bites I’m grossed out that I may have eaten some. Reached out to management but haven’t heard back yet about any refund.

They are very kind and respectful and the food is very good and it now my favorite food spot and I will be going again and again

I bought two meals here at Daves Hot Chicken in Fairfax. I also bought two milkshakes and it's safe to say that both were so fulfilling and they definitely lived up to my high expectations. To add, the dining area, food, customer service, and ambience were all amazing. Not to mention, a worker there, (I believe his name was Ikram) did an amazing job in educating me on the menu and what is right for me. Props to him for that and props to Daves Hot Chicken for their amazing work. I will defiantly be coming back and this is 100% an 11/10 restaurant.

These chicken are put on the fryer as soon as your order is put in. They're fresh, sizzling hot, and savory. Full of flavor and juicy chicken. Ask for honey, and it will make your experience so much better!

I have an amazing experience every time I come in. I'm always welcomed as soon as I come through the door. I had an amazing experience today when i had this friendly worker his name was Danny and he made my experience 10x more enjoyable. My food tasted great and was perfect.

I love hot chicken and Dave's is one of the better in the DMV. The chicken is cooked perfectly- the inside is cooked through and juicy. I tried the medium and hot (I'm bad at spicy food)- medium was boring but still well seasoned. Hot had a nice heat. French fries hold up well and don't get soggy fast. Kale slaw was bland (not tangy and a little sweet) but added a nice crunch and balance to the sandwiches. Restaurant is big with lots of seating. Ambiance is fun and casual- walls are painted boldly. Service was excellent. The cashier even gave me her name and said to let her know if I need anything. Will come back again!

Flavorful juicy and tender pieces of chicken. We often don't eat fast foods but we thought we would give this place a try. We tried the sliders and the tenders. When you think of sliders you assume it's a small size. It's not! So glad we ordered 1 each and the tenders. It was still filling. The tenders are still pretty big as well. You have your choice of heat. We opted for the medium sliders and hot tenders. I was ok with it but not my husband. We would definitely return but next time come hungry. It's a lot of food. Service is so friendly and helpful too!

I finally tried this place. It's tucked in the corner next to Kokee Tea. It's super bright and colorful inside. Very inviting. For the price, I think it's a great deal. Two sliders and fries comes out to 16.49. We shared this order and thought it was a good deal to have customization on the spice level and extra sauce to try with the fries. It's not overly greasy. The people working here at the time I was were very helpful when I asked about the spice levels. This was my first time so I had a good bit of questions. Satisfied with my visit here.

Fries were crispy and the chicken sandwich was a decent size! I ordered the medium spice but honestly I couldn't tell that it was spicy (sad) however I enjoyed the Dave's sauce paired! Overall a decent place for chicken sandwich meal. Service was friendly + indoor seating.

The food was absolutely 10/10. I will be back for sure! It was my first time trying Dave's Hot Chicken, and I'm absolutely blown away. The crunch, the spices used were perfection. The Dave's sauce was okay, I would give it a 8/10. It's nothing too special however, it was good. I think it needed citrus to elevate it even further. The service was great! We walked in and the served us right away. The ambience was very creative, loved the graffiti walls and funky atmosphere they had going on. It is a very popular location. For the price point in this area, it's not bad! Go check em out!

My son always to try this place and glad we did! The service was fast and friendly. We ordered sliders and tenders and it was delicious! The food was prepared fresh and the portions were generous! I opted for the "hot" spice level and it was perfect. I love spicy food, but it definitely hit the spot. Parking was pentiful as it is shared with the other businesses in the center. Overall, a great experience and my son is already asking to return. Enjoy!

Very tasty hot chicken sandwich. I got mild, which was perfect for me. The chicken was very tender and flavorful. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. (One note: check your receipt. They were having some problems with how their register calculates the tip)

Customer service is very friendly. Was immediately greeted upon entering the store. Got the tenders extra hot and the slider was regular hot. The extra hot tenders definitely had a slow building kick due to the spicy dry rub. The heat definitely lingers but it is not unbearable. The hot slider was a much more approachable level of heat. Both entrees come with their house sauce and pickles and they also offer hot sauce and honey. I will be back to try their reaper spice,...eventually.

Delicious and juicy chicken! I wish it was crispier, but the overall slider was tasty. The fried chicken was huge, and the combination of a soft potato bun, chicken, pickles and Dave's sauce was amazing. Sadly, the slaw was bland. The other disappointment was the mac and cheese. It tasted like a frozen mac and cheese. Not great. The fries were decent. I also tried their tenders and they were massive, but not as juicy as the slider, and not crispy. The ambiance was fine, but the music was kind of loud. The service was nice. I would come back, but only for the slider!

i was going to give 2 but the service was nice so i'll give 3. we were thrown off by the shouting "hi welcome to dave's".. the guy kept shouting that as more and more customers came through the door and it was overwhelming + not pleasant. we were just trying to order and he would cut off his sentences to say welcome i ordered the tenders in mild and replaced the fries for mac and cheese. my partner ordered a sandwich in hot. we both thought it wasn't worth the hype since it tasted like they threw a bunch of seasoning and sugar on the chicken. the fries and mac were the best part of our meal which says a lot. it's a nice place with modern decor. i think they're mural was spray painted. the place is very clean. the same guy who shouted welcome repeatedly, kept the place very neat and tidy. we noticed he was wiping tables down and checking bathrooms which most fast chains we don't see often. overall, it was alright..

First time giving them a try and the food was pretty good. The seasoning is a little weird but over all good once you add some dipping sauce. I ordered my chicken medium spicy and it was hardly even spicy. The fries were very good as well. The staff was very nice and helpful with explaining things. The place is very cute and the walls are very loud. Over all a good experience

My husband's coworker told him about this place and do we decided to try it since we were in the area. It's inside of a strip mall so parking can get tricky. Upon entering we were not acknowledged. That's usually a red flag for me. I work in the customer service industry and greeting folks sets the tone for any successful business. There wasn't a line and the dining room was busy on a Saturday afternoon. The menu was large and easy to understand. The interior was cute and decorated in graffiti like decor. Very colorful! We decided on the 2 sliders and fries. The prices were reasonable $12-15 per person. The sliders were huge. I felt kind of greedy eating both. They look like a regular chicken sandwich. I'm a light weight so I got lite mild and my husband got . The fries were hot and crispy, the sandwich was tender, hot temperature wise, but did not wow me with flavor. It lacked seasoning, despite me getting lite mild in spice. The sandwiches were topped with a slaw and some kind of orange sauce. The food was good, and I would probably try it again.

i was very excited to try Dave's Hot Chicken because many of my friends love it. I loved how clean and inviting it was in there. we really wanted to sit and eat there and it was the perfect environment to do so. The cashier was also very nice and made recommendations on what to get. i ended up getting the tenders in Medium heat with fries and a drink. It was pretty good, but there was an almost bitterness to the spice. it was strange. it was less spicy and more bitter to me. i want to try the sliders before deciding if i like it or not. i might get the hot next time.

I had the pleasure of trying at Dave's Hot Chicken in Fairfax, and I have to say, it was a dope experience! The chicken sliders were absolutely fantastic - great flavor, perfectly cooked, and incredibly filling. They truly hit the spot! The service was fast but not to fast which makes me think they really make things fresh and the staff's hospitality made me feel right at home. It's clear that they take pride in ensuring every guest has a top-notch experience. The place itself has a unique and vibrant decor that really stands out. It's the perfect spot to enjoy some good chicken with friends or family. The best part is when they mean spicy they mean spicy. Once you get close the reaper they don't play games haha. Highly recommend!

During my most recent visit to Northern Virginia, I decided to check out this spot based on the buzz. I ordered two chicken strips with French fries. First of all these aren't really tenders. They're boneless fried chicken breast cooked to perfection. The chicken isn't sitting around under a heat lamp. It's made to order, so you have to wait about 10 minutes, which is not a problem. I was disappointed to discover that the seasoning used for the chicken includes brown sugar. I don't like sugar, so this isn't for me, but to be fair, the chicken was moist and succulent. I've never had anything quite like these "tenders." After eating two, I was completely filled. The fries are good. The pickles are fantastic if you like pickles, and their sauce is fantastic. The sauce combined with the chicken is a nice blend as the chicken spice includes cumin. I ordered a medium and it had a nice little kick. The place is spacious and clean. This is a young crowd spot. If I was a teenager, I could see coming here on a date. The menu is basically limited to chicken and fries. They also have a cauliflower substitute for chicken. There's parking in the front, along with a huge lot along the strip mall. If not for the sugar, I'd come back.

Welcome to Fairfax City. Tasty and delicious chicken sandwiches. Depending on how crazy you are, you get to pick the heat scale desired. The younger me likes that, the current one is mild. Even then lots of flavor, and a little bit of tasty spices. Fries work well too. How's the service? Extremely good! Thank you to the nice folks here. They certainly make you feel welcome, and are very efficient. This is for a new restaurant location, very organized and past the beta testing ground. If you have a good appetite, this will work for you. It's at Fair City Mall, and plenty of parking spots close by.

If you're a fan of crispy and spicy fried chicken, look no further than Dave's! My wife and I swung through for a post-gym gym treat, and Dave's Hot Chicken did not disappoint. I ordered the double slider with fries option, one Medium and one Hot to get a feel for the spice levels. Hot had an initial kick that mellowed out after the first few bites, so if you're borderline, it might be time to take a risk and give that spice a shot! The medium spice level was delightfully warming, allowing the fully flavors of the spices to come through right from the get-go. The chicken itself was surprisingly juicy, which complemented the subtle smoldering introduced by the Hot slider. Additionally, both sandwiches were topped with their delightful sauce (which also came on the side for dipping) and a sprinkling of kale slaw. Overall a definite order-again. My wife ordered the tenders, which were the same cuts as the sandwich but without the toppings. Honestly just go for sliders, they came with slices of regular bread anyway but not sauce or kale slaw. Slaw as a side was refreshing but a bit overpriced, and the fries were very crispy. Lastly, service was great; very friendly atmosphere and a fun vibe with all the graffiti and wall art! Loved seeing Fairfax incorporated in that.

Hot chicken sandwiches seem to be the new thing. I have a bit of a love hate relationship with this sandwich. The sandwich itself was good with lots of flavor and a good sauce. My hate part comes from the chicken that stuck out from the sandwich. It is so coated with chili powder that it was almost like eating a teaspoon of seasonings with every bite. Once you got to the bread and sauce it was a great sandwich. Service was fast and the art on the walls makes this a unique place. Looking for your dream hot chicken sandwich? Give this a try.

Decided to give this place a shot regardless of what I've heard, and I definitely went against my better judgement. Placed a couple of orders to go, as I'm getting to office, excited as a little kid, indulge into my first bite, and the chicken is undercooked, try to work around it, and it seemed as tho edges were ok, but the center was not. Proceed in calling store only to speak w/ an unprofessional individual, who claims to be the manager (Jose) and was extremely disappointed in what took place after the fact. Needless to say, I will not be stepping foot into this location again, and i will always bring up the horrendous experience of refusing to remedy the situation as well as their own negligence in not making sure Chicken is thoroughly cooked. Stay away unless you're willing to risk getting Salmonella given their "care" of said food.

Nasty nasty nasty nasty good luck using the bathroom all night. I'm good on that, but hey you like to use the bathroom all night go for it.

We picked up our order to take to my son's school for a picnic lunch. Order was missing labels for the tenders spice level and all essentials like napkins and utensils, and most importantly sauces.

Wow, wow and WOW! Walked in and was immediately met with a cheerful greeting. The ambience was flamboyantly brilliant. New favorite hot chicken place check (except fries could use a little bit Improvement, hence the four stars). Side note the chipotle chips down the street were perfect tangy.

I've been reading about this place on social media due to sponsorships so I decided to give this place a try. I wasn't disappointed at all. I went ahead and ordered the wings with the spiciest sauce called the 'reaper' and one of the cashiers had a wild reaction telling his colleagues that I was ordering that. The taste was similar to the blazing hot wings you would order from buffalo wild wings. Nonetheless the food was very tasty and delicious not to mention the wait time was rather quick and all the cashiers were extremely nice and kind. Hope to come back here again.

Chicken was good. Nothing special. The issue was the "loaded" fries I got were missing cheese and fry sauce. Guess the person making food today wasn't really paying attention. I'll try again at some point to give them another shot, but overall disappointing.

great customer service, the shakes are impeccable and Tyler was super sweet and helpful. 10/10 recommend.
