Dave's Hot Chicken

The customer service was on point. We went when the restaurant was still quiet and not busy. My son wanted to go so we had to check it off of our list.😁 The food was good and the spicy was spicing. When we go back we will try just the plain chicken so we can taste it and just feel the heat.

Slow serving time but everything comes out fresh. I like the fried chicken . It's has layers of different flavors taking to your taste buds. Crunchy and not too greasy. Only thing is they really taking their time and I would almost not consider it fast food..

first time coming to dave’s hot chicken my family said they should’ve just stayed curious the food was pretty mid wouldn’t come back for food. shakes is good if you like really sweet stuff and there slushy is like icy syrup. my brother started having stomach problems and i felt like throwing up.

This was my first time going here and I ordered the strawberry shake fully loaded(lucky charms cereal topping) Dave's bites and 2 Dave's sliders. The shake was decent but I wouldn't order it again. The food was alright but it's not worth the hype.

Friendly staff. The spice is similar to canned chili sauce. Sticky floors and surfaces. Front day staff loves to communicate by yelling to the customer from across the floor. Price points are high. I'll be skipping this one next time. This meal for two was $40. Two sliders were just okay but the frys were great!

Ordered medium spicy chicken tenders. Chicken is very well seasoned, salty with strong hints of cumin and cinnamon. If you are used to simple seasonings from places like Raising Canes, you might now like Dave’s chicken due to the strong tastes. Also, medium spicy tastes like mild. If you’re spicy eater, you might need to crank up the spice level. Service is great. We were greeted by a very friendly older lady. She does almost everything from taking order, to making drink and cleaning up. Kudos to her.

10/10 highly recommend Dave’s Hot Chicken. I Love Dave’s hot chicken, you can choose how hot you want your flavor to be or no flavor at all. It’s always very clean & spotless-looking clean, even the bathrooms every time I go in & I’ve been about 20 times so far. It’s like a “Raising Canes” how it’s chicken tenders with their own named “Dave’s sauce” just like how Raising Canes has their own “Canes sauce”. They offer chicken tender options, chicken sandwich options, or if you want a sandwich & a tender options! They now offer chicken & waffles which I haven’t tried yet.

I’ve been to Dave’s before and had decent experiences but today was a mess. I ordered a single slider and fries (#4) from the drive through. $10.81. Okay. Pull up to the window and the worker asks for twenty something dollars. I quickly retracted my credit card and said… ummm no. That’s not right. She asked what I ordered and I reiterated my order. “Oh okay, $10.81”. Okay. I pay, and get my bag, and I have to ask for a receipt just to make sure they charged me correctly. Okay. Looks right. After driving home, I open the box and… of course it’s not the right order. Shame on me for not being skeptical there in the drive through. At this point it’s 10:10pm and I’m not going to drive back. The food is…fine. But I can’t help but feel like no one is bothering to check if the right order was taken or was going out… with so many good chicken places within a 2 mile radius, I don’t know why I’d come back… Cookshack on Kuykendahl is just going to be the much better choice. At this point, I think I’d rather go to Popeyes. Like I said, the food is fine. But with so many good options, it’s stuff like this that makes the difference between a repeat customer and a “yeah I tried it.”

Ok - after a slow start with some service issues...I was routinely conflicted bc I wanted hot chicken but the service was bad. I went to DHC today...absolutely knocked it out of the park. Food was superb! Service was even better! The only thing I can say is that it's so good that I want to eat it all the time but I know that is not the best way to approach my life - just kidding / kind of. So happy that DHC has addressed the service issues. They are rocking!!!!!

Very, very disappointed with the quality of the chicken, the price of the food, and the service. The chicken was dry and the only flavor was the powder coating. No real crunch, no real crust, just a heavy coating of powder which almost made it uneatable. Way too many options with better service and better prices.

Best chicken sandwhiches ever! Also the workers are so sweet. Definitely will come here again !

I got it delivered by door dash or Uber eats. I can't remember. They are serving up some really tasty hot chicken. However I would suggest eating there or picking it up yourself. Via door dash it showed up Cold lol but I know exactly how it supposed to be so they get 5 stars as I've eaten here before. Good: the sliders are top notch. I went with mild or medium because their hot is actually really hot. This is coming from someone who really likes hot food too. Definitely stop in and give them a try.

This was my first try at Dave's Hot Chicken. Since there isn't one in my state I knew I had to try it. I arrived and went through the drive thru & the speed of service was great. I ordered a slider & tender combo, my slider was Hot while my tender was medium. The medium tender didn't have that great of flavor, however the slider was the star of the show. The heat was there but not overbearing, also there was 10x more flavor on the chicken slider than the tender. I had a great experience with visiting so Id definitely come back.

I've never tried this place so thought I'd give it a try and went through the drive thru. The first thing I was struck by are the high prices, but hoped it was worth it. I ordered a single slider (medium) and a small drink. I paid $9.61 which is a little high for something the size of a regular cheeseburger. The chicken has a good crispness but it was not spicy AT ALL! I tried the Dave's sauce which is too sweet so I set that aside. The customer service was good and very friendly. But due to pricing and food was quality I wouldn't return.

Why is it so expensive? You can eat a steak at Texas Roadhouse for about the same price. I mean really why is it so costly? Is it imported from Spain? Is it soaked in caviar? Is there gold in them nuggets?

Absolutely delicious chicken sandwiches. Crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside! My level is the hot, just the right amount of spice and heat!

Foods delicious and always good but the service is so slow. Without fail, I end up waiting in the drive thru line for 10-20 mins every single time. Super frustrating and a waste of time.

Food is good no doubt about that but don't bother going after 8 pm and expect great service. I enjoy eating my sliders with honey and ask for extra but I can't seem to get the employees to give me any. However in a way it's my fault for not checking my bad but after asking I hoped they listened. Otherwise this place is great!

All food are made to order so you may have to wait a minimum of maybe 5 minutes or less. The place is very clean and aesthetically pleasing and customer service is excellent. I definitely recommend

This is just ridiculous. Tiny chicken tender on a small bun and they call this a chicken sandwich. Just this and the fries is $12 without a drink. It's a hit or miss with this place and it's very frustrating.

Food is good. Always crispy and flavorful. However, the last 2 times I came (tonight being one), I waited 30 minutes in drive thru for food to come out. Pricing is also very high when compared to others. $28 for two meals (with no drink). I may pass next time.

My husband was excited to try the Reaper and it did not disappoint! I liked my sandwich, the fries were good but they would be better without the seasoning. Although my husband liked the seasoning. The girls taking our order were super helpful and made good suggestions! Super clean and inviting with comfy seats along the wall.

I had a great experience at Dave's Hot Chicken! The location was convenient and the environment was comfortable and inviting. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service throughout my visit. Even the napkins were cool! As someone who loves spicy food, I was excited to try Dave's Hot Chicken. The cashier was helpful in recommending the mild spice level so that I could still" taste the flavors without overwhelming my taste buds". While I appreciate the recommendation, I have to say that I was a bit disappointed with the flavor of the spice itself. Although the chicken was good, I found the mild spice level to be too tame for my liking, and the spice seemed as if it had some taco seasoning in the mix, which is what overpowered everything in my opinion. I personally love tacos but hate the seasoning mix. That being said, I appreciate the thinking about me the customer, and about gradually building up the spice level for those who are new to Dave's Hot Chicken. Needless to say, I still enjoyed my experience and would recommend giving it a try if you're in the mood for some tasty fried chicken. I'll be back and when I come back Im getting something spicy, and I'll add to this review when that happens. Also, the chicken is pretty hefty, so whatever combo I got is actually enough for two people who aren't greedy

The service was amazing food came out fast the cashier working was ashley she was very kind and helpful to telling me what's good especially that i don't have the highest spice tolerance the food tasted great n even better when you load it up wit dave's sauce and honey

Update: I've been a few more times since my original 5 star review. Taking away 2 stars because the quality and service go down at night. Will only return during the day shift!

Ever since the Dave's NOT Chicken was released ("Chicken" Sandwich made with battered cauliflower), I have been a frequent customer. The seasoning of the cauliflower and fries compliment the entree. I am also fond of the sauce (similar to Cane's) and slaw that comes on the sandwich. Service is fickle, and at times the seating is a bit packed but I still come back. Overall, a nice option for plant-based consumers who are craving fast food.

The food is always great but the person at the window today 10/20 @11:20 their customer service was amazing. Not only were they very attentive, but he upsold items, and made sure to double check if I wanted any other condiment. I've been here several times and service is always great but this time definitely stood out for sure!

Absolutely Incredible!!! Service was so nice, smiled and were very welcoming, made great recommendations and added to the overall exercise. The Food was beyond incredible. I have been to Prince's as Haddie B's in Nashville and I must say Dave's not only can hang with them but may even be the best. The food is incredibly flavorful with the perfect amount of heat and lots of heat levels to choose from. The fries have some great seasoning and the prices and portion are great. I love Dave's and most definitely will be back. Thanks to Everyone on Staff and Keep Slangin That Incredible Chicken. I see why you guys have so many locations and are expanding, you have a golden product and a loyal fan.

Never heard of this place. Was actually looking for skylotzkies when I was like oh I'll try it.. 2 piece chicken tender mean us $17! That was the first red flag, after paying was waiting on my food she a friend said huge mistake it's nasty as hell.. upon taking the the first bite I knew said friend was 110% correct... For me u travel all over the country and I'm a foodie, I have determined this is the worst chicken place I've ever had... literally a spicy chili powder rub on it. Such a terrible funny taste. I couldn't suffer through it. Save your money and taste buds and go anywhere else

Great new spot near me with the most friendly cast I've experienced in weeks. Tacoria (Taco) was exceptionally awesome not only to my group but the entire restaurants. First off we were greeted with a smile and a "Welcome," from MaKayla T. She gave some suggestions as it was my first visit. The food took about 10 minutes to come, but it was nice, warm, and fresh. I purchased the Dave #3 basket (hot) that comes with a tender, slider, and fries. It was very filling and tasty. The sauce was similar to Raising Cane's, but I actually preferred this one. My son, who's a big eater, ordered the 10 pc Dave's Bites (mild) with fries basket. He was barely able to finish it. He also generally doesn't like sauces but he enjoyed this one. With a $2 tip I paid $27.42, which is a little on the pricy end, but is equitable to Cane's. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming. We came in when it was fairly empty, but by the time we left it was pretty full. Overall a great experience. Compared to Cane's, I'd prefer this place as it has more variety. I will be returning with my son in the future.

Probably the best chicken in a 30 mile radius of creekside the woodlands We keep going back every week.

1st time here & my fiancé loved it. We were super excited to try it & it did not disappoint. Rayyan was super nice & helpful. Great customer service & good food. 10/10!

We have only been to Dave's Hot Chicken a couple times. We love the ambiance, the food and the staff. We are excited that there will be one closer to us soon. Lori was at the register today and was very knowledgeable about the options and helped guide us on our spice level. She greeted us with a smile and great customer service. Would definitely recommend! Ask for Lori!

Food was amazing!! The fries with cheese as BOMB!! Customer service is also great! The restaurant is as very clean and the temperature was just right.

Fortunately there were no idiots when I ate here. Just great food and free shake for dessert after I gave my 1st review. Fantastic potato bread bun. Tasty chicken. Fries a bit over salted, but crisp and tasty. Great music and vibe. Fantastic shake. So thick, you have to really suck to get it out. I'll def be back for more chickening here.

I was so excited to see this restaurant being added to my area and couldn't wait for it to open . My husband and I finally stopped by to check out what all the hype was about . We decided to order through the drive -thru during lunch time . We ordered the #3 , which included one chicken slider & one chicken tender . I ordered the fries and "hot" level for my flavor . I would say it was worth it. Me and my husband shared the meal which was plenty for just something for us to grab quickly on the road. Just a little disappointed that for the price you pay, you do not get a drink included, but that was not a big deal. My only complaint would be that the drive-through service time did take quite a while, but that is expected for a new restaurant getting into the swing of things. We loved it so much that we decided to return the following day. This time we went inside and placed our order. I ordered the two slider combo and hot and this time it was absolutely perfect even better than the first time the chicken was juicy flavorful the fries are fresh and the timing was quicker than the drive-through service time . This for definitely replace my normal chicken restaurant, such as pot pies in canes chicken, who have just drastically gone down in quality .

I've been going there for some time. My usual, a #5 Extra Hot (#5 is not on the menu). Have been there so many times, the staff greets me by name, an asks me how I'm doing. Get one extra Dave's sauce, for chicken and fries.

Friendly staff. Lots of people in the kitchen working on orders. Minimal wait time. I ordered "HOT" and it was just right for me. After producing his ID to verify he was 18 or older my son was allowed to order his tenders "REAPER" level hot. He said it was hot but totally eatable. I ordered a strawberry milkshake also. It was cold, very thick, and certainly strawberry. Pictured below is the #1 slider order.

First time few weeks ago with the family. If you like spicy food definitely try! The chicken is cooked perfectly! Fries are good too. Wish the milkshake machine was working though. Just opened so shouldn't be broken, but hopefully we can get one next time! Craving it already! The Hot is Hot, but oh so delicious!!

Extra hot was perfect. Good breading with good spice. Very Enjoyable. Now why the F%#^ did I decide to go back to the counter and try 1 tender of the "reaper" level where i had to sign a waiver. Straight up uncomfortably hot. Not enjoyable besides the first 3 seconds. Not mentally prepared for the liquid molten lava that will flow from my asshole tomorrow. Stupid.

Loves the crinkle cut french fries and dave sauce. The chicken has its own taste, cant say i can compare to any other chicken to it!

Service was fast and friendly, place could be a tad bit cleaner specifically the restrooms! Food was BOMB AF!! The best fries ive ever had I wish I took a pic but the food was to yummy to even stop and snap a pic lol I got the medium heat ones and they are perfect spice level! Not many drink options besides pop!

The service was good, lady behind the counter was really nice. Loved the unique motifs of the dining area and the choice of music. I bought 4 meals for kids and myself. Honestly there was nothing wrong with the food but it was just not for us. The portions were big pieces and fries were plentiful.

Pretty good chicken. Tried bot the sliders and tenders. They are very serious about HOT, I like spicy food and enjoyed the hot tenders but I don't think either of the hotter levels would leave much left to taste the chicken at all.

First time eating at Dave's Hot Chicken and it certainly won't be my last. Food was amazing, fresh and quick to deliver order. To my surprise a "slider" was the size of a full sized chicken sandwich so I didn't quite need the extra tender ordered but it didn't go to waste as my boyfriend ate it. While, this restaurant is the type of place where you pick up after yourself, I would like to see the tables wiped down for the next guests once patrons leave.
