Dave's Hot Chicken

First of all the food is PERFECT! The chicken is juicy and crispy, the coleslaw is amazing (and I’m a #1 coleslaw hater) and the Dave’s sauce is so yummy. The best fried chicken in my entire life and I stand on that, not overhyped or anything. The management and staff are so kind and patient, they were extremely helpful whenever I had an issue and I couldn’t be happier with the service. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also fantastic. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

We had dinner here around 4:30 on 5/10. We were warmly welcomed as we approached the counter, and we were asked if this was our first time. It was. We received more than enough info to make our order, and we were very happy with what we got. I got the top loaded fries, which at a large was more than enough to feed two people. It was delicious and had just about everything on the menu included except for the Mac and cheese, which we ordered separately. The Mac was creamy and cheesy and the noodles were well cooked and not mushy. All of our chicken was juicy and seasoned wonderfully. The coleslaw was delightful, the fries were crispy and seasoned as well, and the pickles were scrumptious. We will definitely be back to have another good time.

My first time at Dave's,I had me the #1 meal two gigantic chicken stripes French fries which were better than I've had anywhere else in town. Some pickles which were awesome to also some mac and cheese plus our drinks. I very highly recommend this place if you have not tried it already. It was oh so good. I will be going there every chance I get. Do yourself a favor and try it you will not be disappointed I kid you not.

My friends and I absolutely adore coming to this new location for lunch and making an entire day out of it. At my most recent visit, I got a #3 with a medium slider and hot tender, and it was absolutely PERFECT. The hot by itself was too much for me, but the medium just bored my taste buds, and so both flavors together was definitely the solution. Will always enjoy it here, and will keep coming!!

We came into Lubbock for a football game (Go Lakeview) and our son found this place. What a great find! The service was magnificent only matched by the flavor of the chicken! The atmosphere was amazing and again.. That chicken!!!!! We will be back again!!! "Rise and Brine!"

My husband and I went to try it out for the first time ever and it was the best decision ever it was super yummy we got the extra hot two sliders with fries meal and wow it was sooooooooooooo spicy I felt like I was on the show Hot Ones but it was worth it the drive through guy was nice and he gave us a run down on what sauce to use the honey makes the spicy cool down make sure you ask for 5 honey packs due to the sliders being super spicy 🤗😋🤤🔥☄️ will be back for round two!!!!

The food was really good! I got three sliders: a hot, an extra hot, and a reaper. All three were very good, and none of them were crazy hot. My favorite was the hot. Luckily, I didn't have to wait very long in the drive-thru. I will be back! 👌🏽

We have tried Daves hot chicken in Las Vegas and when Lubbock opened one we were excited. We keep coming back to this one in Lubbock. I ordered the #1 in mild level and my son ordered the hot level. Tenders are huge and the sauce so good. Everything is just so good when you eat here at Dave's hot chicken. Highly recommended.

Shit smacked as expected. What was unexpected though was my cashier giving me too much food when I saw the total I thought something was off, but I proceeded anyways once I ate what i could, i requested a togo box which I did not regret 2 1/2 days later here I am air fryer coleslaw pickle all that. We going crazy

10/10 good service super clean, was kinda sad about the no ranch BUT the signature sauce made up for that! Asked for a 2 Tenders and they gave me THREEEE

First time trying it's good. The different heat levels gives you different experiences. When they say hot they mean hot. The tenders are very juicy they have a lot of seasonings on them it will get all over your fingers. Even the fries are seasoned too. The sandwichs come with slaw cheese and Dave's sauce which is just incredible. The staff was very nice, polite, helpful and welcoming.

I was in the first wave of customers on opening day and the service was very courteous and polite. It was pretty busy and people didnt stop filing in the entire time I was there. It did take a bit (15 minutes) for my food to finally come out but it was well worth the wait. I ordered the number 2 and the regular top loaded fries. My first "slider" was delicious. Much larger than I was expecting. I won't be ordering 2 of these next time. The hot is the perfect heat for me. The extra hot...too hot for me. Everything was delicious and I'm excited to return! The ambience looks like a train car rolling down the highway. I don't get it but whatever. As long as the food stays delicious I don't really care.

I do love the chicken but the problem I have is with their over priced shakes. I ordered a medium size and it was too small for the price of 7.00! I was shocked about that. I could go to the custard or ice cream place and get more for my money and they're not cheap either! Chicken is but the shakes are

I got the number 2 and substituted Mac and cheese instead of fries. Now for the slider. I got one hot and one medium. Who would have dreamed of paying 13.99 for two single chicken strips sandwiches. Apparently, I ate the hot one first. That was a bit too hot for me. The other one was medium, but I couldn't detect much heat. I wish there was an in between. I would rate this as a rebuy, but I don't think the chick-fil-a across the street will be going out of business. This is worth a try

Food was very heavy. Tasted like it had been cooked in oil that was old. Flavor wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about. Also found it odd that when you order a "combo" that it doesn't come with a drink? Made the meal pretty expensive for what you get.

If you like going to your pantry and downing raw spices then you will love this chicken. I was surprised how they were able accomplish the combination of the amount of spices used and still managed to provide chicken with a lack of flavor. How is this possible?

The food is delicious. Be careful about spice. Make sure you order to your liking. The heat heats up quickly. We love this place and order often.

The whole experience deserves 5 stars. I always wanted to bring Helen's hot chicken or princes or Hattie bs here to Lubbock but you beat me to it. It's its own unique variety though with a focus on tenders. I think a big part of the magic in Nashville is the huge wings and culture of spices. This brings me there even the line reminds me of being there. Best chicken in lbk quick and excellent service.

The spice on slider I ordered (medium) was horrible! Tasted like straight comino to me! Didn't even finish it! Fries were ok but nothing special! Definitely the first and last time I eat Dave's Hot Chicken!

Got the medium heat for the chicken. It smells like it's mainly cayenne. I really liked the flavor of the slider with everything combined, but if you like to feel spicy/heat, then this medium is a mild in Texas. If you eat the tender on its own then you might feel some heat, but not much. The service was fast and courteous.

I understand the store just opened up, but after I waited in the drive through for 40 minutes, I got home and there was hair COOKED INTO my food. I love Dave's, but this is disgusting and something that shouldn't happen.

Food is good I reckon it especially if you want to try something different for the price of canes you can get yourself some of Dave's hot chicken . If you want spice I recommend any spice above mild as mild isn't spicy in the slightest

Got the mild chicken, was very seasoned. The house sauce is good and the fries are probably the best part. Friendly staff. Would eat here again.

Honest review: We went to Dave's Hot Chicken today. Prices are out there, considering they don't include drinks with their combo meals. Almost $50 for four people and no drinks. While the chicken was hot and fresh, the hot chicken isn't hot in flavor and the no spice has no seasoning. Their fries taste pretty good, they're seasoned fries. I will say that their sauce is really flavorful, way better than Cane's. However you shouldn't need the sauce for flavor because the chicken is bland. The portion sizes were also inconsistent, one slider meal had half a dinosaur breast and the other slide meal had a regular sized chicken tender yet the chicken tender meal had bigger, meatier pieces. Consistency would be great. The mach and cheese was runny with no cheesy flavor. All in all, it was an experience that I'd rather not repeat again. You can spend the same at the Lord's Chicken House with smaller chicken pieces and your food is more flavorful and it comes with a drink. I guess it's give and take. We honestly don't see what all the hype was about. ‍

I got in the drive through and when I was next in line to get to the speaker, a manager came out and put cones behind the car in front of me, blocking my way forward, he then chatted with that car for a second and left never saying a word to me. Extremely rude service, I get that this place is just opening, but at least come up to my window and say something, don't block the way and pretend like I didn't just waste 25 minutes of my life waiting for something.
