Dave’s Hot Chicken

Very great first time experience! Tyler was awesome at the counter and helped us out with what we wanted to order. I got the slider by itself (extra hot) my husband and daughter got the #1, 2 tenders with fries (mild). My daughter also ordered a mountain berry blast slushie and it was very good and refreshing. They also offer a variety of canned beers. I ordered the Art Car IPA. We will be back!

First time trying Dave's hot chicken. After constantly seeing it throughout social media. The service from the employees was great fast and simple. The food visually looked great! But after trying it for the first time, it definitely has a unique taste to it, i assume, because of the seasoning/spices they put into it. But i wasn't really a fan. It's okay for the most part, but it's not great. The mac and cheese and oreo milk shake were good, though! 🔥 Nonetheless, this will be a one and done experience for me. There are better chicken places out there, in my opinion. But feel free to give a try yourself.

Consistently get orders wrong, run late on pick up times. The worst part is, they never answer the phone to take responsibility for anything. This was no pickles, with slaw on the side.

I ordered the #1 and got RAW CHICKEN. I noticed after I had already eaten half of it and when Dave’s Hot Chicken was notified I was told that they were following all the right procedures and all they could do was refund my meal.

Don’t come here hungry or wanting to eat within the next hour. This is the slowest service I have ever experienced. It doesn’t matter if you’re in the drive-through or in the lobby you are waiting at least 25 minutes. The food is like warm when it finally gets to you and they’ll leave it sitting in the window for 5-10 minutes before bringing it to you. Very disappointing experiences the last several times. Won’t be coming anymore due to long service times. I waited 38 minutes for two sliders TOGO. Insane

Went in for lunch with an open mind, seeing as this was my first time. It's very clean inside and the art on the walls is cool. It wasn't busy, so my food came out quick and fresh. I chose the hot flavor profile but didn't get much of a kick. The flavor was ok. I think it's worth another try as my experience was good. Cashiers were friendly also.

Extremely overpriced for what you get. Food is mediocre. Staff acted as though they didn’t understand much when it came to their app with savings. So I missed out on my rewards. The store decorations were awesome!

Food is great and the staff is always super nice. Will return to enjoy more of the food.

This place is amazing! The food is sooo good, the workers are so sweet, and the environment is really cool. The murals and art on the walls are fun to look at. 10/10 would recommend coming here to eat.

Waited 25 minutes just to be told they got no CHEESE!!!!!!!! Bruhhhh you guys killing me. They tried to make it up wit a slushy which is cool but na that was un called for a simple "yo we don't got cheese ready you want to cancel this" would've sufficed but no communication and had me waiting there? People in line left waiting for me. I had people honking at me thinking I probably ordered the whole freaking menu.

Nice, clean restaurant. Yocelyn had great customer service, and helped us out with the menu. Food was pretty good. Not the best hot chicken I've had, but it was good. I got the Dave's single, Extra Hot, and I didn't think it was that hot, will try the Reaper next time. Got the Dave's Bites for my kids and it was enough for them to share, about 10 bites, and they enjoyed them!

Sooooo delicious!!! Y'all I don't even have photos because I eat it soo fast. I order via Uber Eats and it was fantastic! I love the Nashville hot and the mild! The pickles are on point. The spiciness, seasoning, crispness and sauce are fantastic!! Run to Dave's Hot Chicken!!

This chicken is solid. We tried the three lowest levels of spice, because, yea well, I'm a chicken. They were all good. The sliders were delicious, as were the smaller bites and the strips. The fries and cheese fries were great. I like the pickles included with the meal. The vanilla shake was spot on.

Besides the AMAZING friendly service, this place knows how to do HOT Chirken!!! YUM-O!! These kids are awesome and are so welcoming and quick to serve up your order. It is always fresh and HOT and the most crispy chirken and fries!! I do wish the side mac n cheese was a larger size for what you pay but otherwise have no complaints. And really, is that a complaint or wishful thinking? Lol Thanks y'all. See you next date night!

HOT!! We ordered two Dave's #4 1 Slider "hot" , kale slaw, pickles and Dave's sauce with Fries. This was the perfect temperature of spicy for me. Spicy but not so much that it was burning my mouth. Chicken was super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Pickles we fresh and had a snap to them. Slaw was good. I would have liked more. The fries were fresh, hot and crispy too. Great service. Clean restroom. I would definitely recommend, especially if you love a good sandwich.

Presentation was good. Mac and cheese was watery cheesy. Chicken overall was tasty but dry. And the milkshake was 10/10 my favorite thing. The pickles were also very very good. Price was a little steep. $38 for 2 meals and a side with 2 drinks. Service was okay. The girl in the front didn't seem to have patience and we were the only people there.

Very engaged team. Which I appreciate these days where most places you go the apathetic behavior runs rampant. I ordered medium hot and it was good. Brought out allergen chart (nice to see) but couldn't tell me if MSG was in chicken or condiments. But they cared. Chicken was good. I was just nervous about ingredients. Mac & Cheese was good. Do the bread thing like Tumble 22 which doesn't use msg

The place was clean, and the staff was super friendly. The food was fresh, delicious, and cooked to perfection. I had the hot spice chicken slider and it was delicious !!! Great flavor with just a little kick.

Great flavor and sliders are huge!!! Honey is a must and Hot is the perfect amount of heat but go for extra hot if you're feeling adventurous. The strawberry shake is pretty good. Service is always with smile!

My first time experiencing Dave's Hot Chicken wasn't that bad...the place was really clean and very well organized...the service was ok...but only because it appeared that all the employees were teenagers...and they were more interested in talking to each other...but I was young once so I understand...but let's talk about the chicken...I think I got a #2...which is a slider and a chicken strip...I got it at medium heat...which was more than enough for me...the flavor of the coating was good...but the actual chicken was lacking in that department...but it was juicy...I often drive by this location...and the only reason I stopped was because of the commercial...so good job on getting me in...all in all...I will be back...good job

Wish this place had more dipping sauce options. The heat from the chicken is a bit dry. Kinda like a dry rub with a lot of butter. Dipping sauce is a thick mayo base that leaves you wanting something creamier. Cheese fries were really good. The service was fast and friendly. The art is cool and the place is clean with plenty of space. They do not have fresh brewed iced tea. That is another knock for me. It is not hard to brew fresh tea! My hubby and kids enjoy this place and they will continue to support. As for me, I can live without this one. Sorry

I am from out of town but when I come to New Caney to visit family I always stop at Dave's Hot Chicken. Well this time I was very disappointed because the chicken strips were much thinner! What happened? I don't know if it's worth the price anymore...

This place is horrible! If you go through drive thru window expect it to take at least 20 minutes and then you receive cold food and usually the wrong food. I have been 3 times, every time gets worse! Other locations are great; this one horrible and don't plan on returning!!!

The best I could give is 3 stars. Food was just over bland, fries were good though. Dave's sauce was pretty good. I won't have to visit another Dave's again now that I've tried it. Service was friendly and quick at the drive through

I asked 3 times for no pickles on my slider...wait, I asked 4 times if you include the affirmation as it was handed to me. I got home and...PICKLES!

The food was awesome we had the two slider meal they made one extra hot and one medium clearly marked each slider . The service was excellent. Just be careful extra hot is hot and the meals are perfect for sharing

Had a #1 meal. Single tender with Extra hot. They said I had to sign a waiver for reaper, so I skipped it. It was pretty tasty. It was hot but also had good flavor. Fries were good and crispy, just the way I like them. I got it to go and I think they forgot the Dave's sauce, so.... There's that. I think it was good, for the occasional stop in. Service was good. The young girl could not wait to talk to her brother in the parking lot though. I guess I was taking to long for a first timer. Also a signed said check in for free milkshake, I am still waiting for that. 4 stars.

Great service, when I crave hot chicken I usually come here for the good food. The atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable. Will continue to recommend.

Was good and spicy nicely done. Fries crunchy and seasoning was on point. They just do tenders and sliders with those tenders. Simple but good

Very good! Me and my husband loved it. We both ordered the extra hot chicken slider and fries, and a order of the Mac and cheese to try out. The food was very flavorful and delicious. The service is so great everyone is so friendly and inviting. One of the store leads went around to check on everyone to make sure everything was good which was nice she was very friendly. We will definitely be coming back soon!

The first time going here, the food was very over seasoned. The chicken was a little bit undercooked the service was not so great also. The workers are kind of rude and the atmospheres just ehh for me. Definitely don't recommend going here. Hopefully they see this review and things change.

pure dry chicken no flavor AT ALL! Customer service was awful the tenders Aren't even spicy on top of that its overpriced and low quality chicken i would rather eat chicken shit instead of this garbage! Never going again Dave's hot chicken will never change and will flop it gets worse every new establishment they make it gets worse take my warning don't spend your money on this chicken its horrible and low quality for the price to Don't recommend at all Save your money people! p.s the only reason u find it flavorful and juicy is because your white! due to ur lack of seasoning

This is a new storefront that pooped in valley ranch. Not bad, at 48 I should know better than to try the hot tenders. However, I did, anyways, very tasty and hot I don't think I'll try the next two level. We will go back to try the level below.

Pulled up at 2:18 pm did not get food until 2:40 pm only 3 customers inside. Be prepared to wait !!

I visited for the first time and ordered the Single Tender combo. I also added a tender thinking one would not be enough. However, one tender was definitely enough for me. I loved the fries but wasn't impressed with the tender. It was juicy but the medium heat just seemed to have a lot of seasoning as opposed to spice (heat). Reaper is the hottest option for heat and I was told you have to sign a waiver for it, so I was expecting at least a little kick from the medium. On my next visit, I'll go with the regular tender so I can fully enjoy the meal.

The chicken is well seasoned and very juicy. The cheese fries are really good too. They put cheese all over the fries not just the top. The food is very expensive it's crazy. Id probably come once or twice a year because of the prices. But I will say that the food is constant with taste and portion sizes.It looks really nice inside and the employees are cool too.

I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this time I think it was well deserved. Tuesday evening (12-26-2023)we ordered in the drive through and we waited for at least 45 minutes. Finally we got to the window and the service was just horrible. We got to the window cause all the other cars left with no food. There was nobody tending to the window. I get it if they were short staffed but at least acknowledge us at the window, we could have waited longer to get the food. She just wouldn't come to the window to take our payment. Horrible experience

Food was hot and service was what you can expect these days (kids standing around behind the counter). It happens now and again Dave's hot chicken is just not my thing.

Great food, the place is always clean, and service is always good. The price is kinda up there but there's no other places making actually spicey chicken.

Tried few times, for some reason chicken was always extra oily and chicken size is a Toss up! You never know what you will get. One small piece with a regular size piece. Paying $14 for 2 tenders for a meal and not able serve the proper size is cheating the customer. Inflation got everyone spooked!!! Revised 07/21/23 Tried again, Combo #4, served perfect!! Taste was awesome, sides were generous, Tenders were big enough for an Adult :). I am back with 5 Stars.

The chicken is delicious!! The "hot" level was hot but not too hot- just right! Medium was delicious too. My mom and I split the slider/tender meal and couldn't finish it. Super generous portions. Elijah provided great service- super nice young man! Cute decor too.

Food used to be phenomenal, but now the chicken is too greasy and has a lot of fatty parts in it.

Good place to eat but needs better employees! Was there before 11:30 & 2 girls were in the back just chilling we pulled up to the drive through they said only the inside is open . As we go around to go inside they turned the lights off & locked ! We also called no answer ! Unprofessional if you tell me .

The food is horrible. The spice pallet is garbage. It's not cheap food but it's low quality. I do not recommend.

This place is great! My only thing is the temperatures are not extremely consistent, so I shoot for Hot. Either way this is a must go place for chicken. Dave's sauce is awesome so get extra.

It was my first time to try Dave's hot chicken. My grandson suggested it. We just got out of the Deadpool movie. It was eight minutes after 10 Saturday night. I knew where it was, but it looked like it was closed most of the interior lights were darkened, and you could see the chairs upturned all around the inside. When I drove around to the drive-through the light was out along with the sign/menu. There were two cars ahead of us so I figured they had just closed. Then someone spoke on the microphone and took our order. It looks like the employees are trying to make it look like they are closed so they don't have to work. I asked what time they close the lobby. And employee with a hoodie up over his head told me that they close the lobby at 10. It made me suspicious though. When I drove by, I could see some of the chairs were not turned over. What's up with this? The food was good, But of course the fries were soggy because we couldn't eat it there. We had to drive home with it. I guess I'll give it another chance but it will be have to be before 10 PM.
