Dave's Hot Chicken

Dave’s Hot Chicken was a major disappointment—and not because of the food. The biggest issue is the restroom placement. The bathrooms are located directly in the center of the dining area, which makes absolutely no logistical sense. If there’s any issue in the restroom, the entire dining room is immediately affected. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened during our visit. On our first visit, the dining area smelled strongly of sewage. The restroom itself smelled horrible, and the odor was so overwhelming that it completely ruined the experience. We could not eat our food inside the restaurant and had no choice but to leave the dining area altogether. Cleanliness and basic sanitation are non-negotiable when it comes to food service. Regardless of how popular the brand may be, an environment like this is unacceptable.

This was good, fast food. It didn’t take too long to receive our food and everything was hot. The service was amazing. Love the art work both inside and outside the restaurant was fun!

I stopped by on a Thursday afternoon around 3:30–4 PM. There were only 3–4 cars ahead of me in the drive-thru, but it still took about 30 minutes to get through. One thing I thought was a little odd was that the cashier held onto my card until I got my food, but maybe that’s just their process. The food was pretty good! I’ve had it once before when they first opened, and I remember it being a bit more flavorful back then. Still, the portions are super filling, so you definitely get your money’s worth.

This is a small establishment and the wail time was longer than what I'm used to for a fast food restaurant but is it really considered a fast food restaurant? Anyways, I had the #3, 1 tender with a slice of bread and a tender slider with kale salad, spice level medium, and fries. I love love the tenders. The fries were krispy and seasoned perfectly. I ate the fries up before I was able to get a photo. All I can say is, I'LL BE GOING BACK!

My husband wanted to try this place for a while. 10/10 I do recommend! The service is great the restaurant is clean and the chicken is freshly made! I love the slaw and the pickles bring a much needed touch! Stop in! It was so good I got some minis for the kids to try!

My first time at Dave’s Hot Chicken was even better than I expected! The food was incredible—perfectly crispy, juicy chicken with just the right kick of heat. The sides were fresh, the flavors were bold, and everything came out hot and fast. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the outstanding service. The front worker, JENTRY, was extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in. Since it was our first visit, she took the time to explain the menu, offered great recommendations, and made sure we felt welcome. It’s rare to see someone go above and beyond like that, and she definitely made our visit memorable. Great food, great service, and a great first impression. We’ll definitely be coming back! 🐔🔥

Visited a couple of times since it’s about 1.5 hours from me. The first time we visited on a Saturday night. It was chaotic to say the least. Overcrowded, loud and just a hectic atmosphere. There was a hair on one of our sandwiches. The tables were not clean because it was so busy. The staff were barely keeping up. The food was so good that I decided to visit on a weekday. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We got one Reaper tender, and had to sign a waiver. It was nothing but heat, no flavor. We do not recommend at all. We spent $91 that visit. Did not take pictures of the food that time. Again, it was hectic & chaotic. We visited two weeks later on a Monday mid-day. The drive-through was so long. The restaurant was crowded, but not quite as chaotic or hectic as a Saturday night. The staff was mostly friendly this go round. Our food was delicious as always. The only thing I did not care for was the mac & cheese. I won’t get that again. But the chicken is phenomenal. I get the medium it’s the perfect heat for me. We’ve also gotten the extra hot, but those are way too spicy for me. Their sauce is decent, but the pickles are so good. You must try their kale coleslaw, so delicious. Perfect touch on their chicken sandwiches. I wish this place was closer to me and bigger. Like they know they are popular but they construct a tiny building! Needless to say, one of the best fried chicken places in GA in my humble opinion. Will definitely be back in the near future. They need more GA locations and soon.

Delicious food! The tenders were amazing and full of flavor. Fries were very good and the you must get the slaw and extra Dave’s sauce. Loved the mural outside as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will be back for sure.

Dave's Hot Chicken Located at 1447 Hwy 138 SE Conyers, GA 30012 Health Score 82 = B on 10/1/25 We tried the Dave's Mini Sliders w/ Fries and Dave's Tenders with fries. The food was very delicious. If spicy food is your thing then this is the spot for you. The food is really spicy but goooooood.... The customer service was great and prompt. We didn't wait for our order very long 1960's R&B Music Pumping through the speakers giving you that deep down soul vibe. I'd definitely recommend Dave's Hot Chicken for that spicy flavor in your life. It was the mini sliders with coleslaw for me. Mouthwatering.

My son wanted to try this because he is a chicken tender connoisseur. Be prepared to wait, this is not fast food and each time we have gone there has been a line both inside and in the drive thru. The loaded fries are a 8.5/10 the milkshake I would skip as mine was watery so I give that a 2/10. We will go back because each time we say our spice level wasn't that hot. I have only made it up to Mild.

As a L.A. resident I wasn't new to Dave's. I was visiting family in Conyers recently and after a late night of drinking I opted to pick up some Dave's since it was otw home. First things first if you're coming by late I recommend you Uber eats because they get busy. After about a 10 min wait my food finally came out. I got a 2 sandwich combo. The food was fresh and came out piping hot. The chicken itself had great flavor and the knockoff Zaxbys sauce hits. I picked up my food to go but the inside of the restaurant looked spacious and vibrant, I appreciate a good decor. Im kinda over the hot chicken craze but this is actually a good fast food alternative for burgers.

We did drive through service. Had about an average wait time. Person taking our order was pleasant and skilled at working the drive through. Explained the menu and took our order correctly the first time. Building was clean and well presented on the outside. We ordered the Sliders with fries and the slider had kale salad and pickles. The bun was good and warm. The chicken strip on the slider was more crust than chicken. I would say please pay more attention to the star of the show, the "CHICKEN". Dave's hot CHICKEN.

Food was good but def not fast food. Wait time was a little ridiculous at over 30 min.

The food here is great: make no mistake. But the star of my drive-thru trip was definitely the customer service. The young lady who took my order was so pleasant, and she really cared about the work she was doing. I would drive out of my way to come back. P.S: I consider myself pretty spice tolerant, so I just went with hot. Do not be deceived! Hot is still very hot

Finally made it here to try, was not going to go when they first opened and the lines were super long. Chicken was good, not good enough to wait in a 30+ minutes but good enough to recommend and I will return. I do think they put way too many pickles on their items. I don't like pickles at all but my bf's sandwiches had pickles and even he said it was too much. The chicken itself was nice, crispy and juicy. The hot had only a slight kick but I wanted to ease my way into something hotter. I really like the mini sliders which apparently are new and are actually sliders. Not sure why they call a regularly sized sandwich a slider. Fries were also good. I love a crinkle fry. In all I would return but again only when they're not super busy and I will always order to go.

Let's start with the downside, so we can get that out of the way. The biggest issue with this location is the drive-through. It's often wrapped around the entire building, and at times, it blocks several parking spaces, making it harder for additional customers to park and enter the restaurant. If they could find a better way to manage or redesign the drive-through, it would improve the overall experience and encourage more people to come inside instead of being forced to use the drive-through. Now, with that said, let's talk about what makes Dave's Hot Chicken exceptional. This is one of the best hot chicken chains in the United States. The restaurant is always clean, even though it's consistently packed. I've been to this location multiple times. Sometimes, it was so crowded that I left without ordering, but honestly, that's not necessarily a bad thing--it just shows how much people love this place. Other times, I've come alone or with my partner, and the food has always been fantastic. I've tried hot chicken in other states, and while it's good elsewhere, Dave's Hot Chicken stands out. The food here is amazing: always cooked perfectly with a great range of spice levels to suit different tastes. Personally, I wish they offered a few more side options, but what they do have is consistently excellent. My go-to order is the chicken tenders with cheese fries, and occasionally I'll get the sliders. The coleslaw on the sliders is a perfect complement to the flavors. If you're planning to visit, here's my advice: if you have kids, consider getting your order to go. If you're alone or have time to spare, it's worth the wait--though I recommend avoiding the drive-through if possible. Park and head inside, assuming you can find a spot. Overall, this location has its challenges with crowding and parking, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. If you've never tried Dave's Hot Chicken--whether it's at this location or another--you absolutely should. The food is worth the wait and delivers every time.

The price for what you get is insane. $14.00 for 2 chicken tenders, 2 slices of old bread and some warm fries. Then I asked for the mildest of the mild but the spice was too intense. I was in a rush and didn't have time to take it back so I gave the food away. The inside looks like it belongs in a throwback movie. It definitely needs to be cleaned up.

It's been almost a year Dave's, and now you're in Atlanta ! One of my favorites from LA is hereeee!! We stopped by here on the way to Covington - about an hour drive for us. It was definitely busyyy, but we were there during peak lunch time. Both the drive through and inside were very busy, but we did find a table inside and chose to dine in. The wait was pretty long, but definitely worth it. We got a light mild and medium- they didn't feel spicy at first but definitely have a kick to it. I might be brave enough to try a hot. Flavors were soooo good and their sauce is amazing. Of course it's halal :) It's a bit of a drive but hope to be back soon!!

Let's start with the location, the parking is limited. Since it's the first location in GA and Halal, it stays fairly busy. If you end up going during a busy hour you might not find parking. They do have a drive thru. The place itself since very busy seems hard to be kept clean. The food itself was a solid 7/10. The portion was pretty good. The hot sliders were cold upon getting it which was disappointing. The fries were a little crispy. The Dave's sauce is just sweet Chick-fil-A sauce. They do not have any other condiments besides honey, Dave's sauce, and ketchup. The Mac & cheese was okay, nothing exceptional. Overall, a pretty good spot to have in town especially for those that want a little kick with their chicken. Check them out on a slower day ofc for a better experience!

Me and my sister drove 40 minutes for this meal and it was well worth every minute no lie. This is the 1st location in Georgia and it's still fairly new so please keep that in mind when going to visit. There is a constant flow of people inside and drive through (even though that was super crazy) just be patient. Customer service was really good my server/cashier Corey was very helpful and thorough. I appreciate all his help! My food was delicious yes it was a little wait but it was worth it. My slider was so good and the sauce is amazing especially if you mix it with the honey. Tenders were really good too I wil try a hotter flavor next time. The slider was the deal breaker for me tho!! and the cheese fries were yummy, for this to be considered "fast food" I was very pleased! Can't wait to visit again. Nice lil scenery and I like the graffiti on the walls We ordered #4 1 slider + fries Chicken bites #3 1 tender, 1 sliders + fries (I added another tenders) 2 strawberry slushies....10/10

Service: Keke the girl who took our order outside in the drive thru line was very patient, mannerable, informative, and had awesome customer service. The food: I got two # 3's and a # 1 My niece devoured her plate, my son said the red sauce/seasoning on the tender taste like Ramen noodle seasoning, and my opinion is this personally it looks very good, as far as taste goes it lacks flavor the fries were good and were seasoned but the tenders are just that. And we got medium and mild it was no type of kick to it spice or nothing. I'm going to say go try it for yourself it may be different for you and your taste buds.

TIP: Go inside instead of using the drive thru. The line to order inside seemed to go much faster than the drive thru line. Pack your patience! Please, pack your patience!! A friend and I decided to try this spot because the location had opened in Conyers. I knew Usher had opened a location here but I assumed it was in the Atlanta area so when I saw it was in Conyers, I had to try it. We got to the area and saw there was a line of cars down the block. We committed that if we got in line, we would stay in the line no matter how long it took. We got in the line at 4:44pm on Labor Day and got our order at 8:48pm. 4 hours!!! I have never sat that long for food before but so glad I had company and can say it was an experience. We had the Dave Chicken bites medium heat, a tender and slider hot, and fries and a drink. I wanted to order an Oreo top loaded shake but it was no longer available. I asked the worker at the window if it was like that everyday (long lines) and she said YES! I love spicy foods but the tender and slider was too hot for me. The chicken bites with medium heat were more tolerable for me and had a great flavor. The macaroni and cheese tasted like the macaroni and cheese from KFC or some other chicken fast food restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was great. Was it worth the four hour wait delicious? No, but I will definitely be back once the hype calms down more.

If you got it bad for Hot Chicken. R&B Superstar Usher is Co- owner of the first Dave's Hot Chicken in Conyers, GA With 8 more locations to come to the ATL area. Luckily, I was in the area so I decided to give them a try. The chicken slider was okay nothing special. The spice level was perfect I ordered mine hot it was just enough heat without it being too much. The wait time was 30 minutes and that was for the drive thru. The inside was busy as well. Customer service was friendly. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area, but I wouldn't drive out of my way to try it.

I've ordered through DoorDash while at work and hubby and daughter have brought home for me, and every time was a hit. I saved the chicken & waffles for the next day twice and they reheated in the air fryer as if they were just ordered. I've never had fast food that reheated so well. Also the bread is always so soft and even though I love my food piping hot, I can eat Dave's lukewarm and still enjoy it. I've had the cauliflower bites, mini sliders, chicken & waffles and all were good enough to go back. Dave's my guilty pleasure!

I have seen this place on Tiktok, and decided to pay it a visit. Wow! It was incredible! I got the medium chicken and fries. Staff was very kind and helpful, I can tell they have a really good work environment. Ambiance is terrific! Bathroom was also very clean.

I don't get the hype about hot chicken... ordered a sandwich and fries and I enjoyed the sandwich with the kale slaw and the pickles, the chicken was dry. Service-NA, I did DoorDash Ambience- NA

Passed by this place one Saturday afternoon. The line was out the door so I wanted to see what the hype was all about. I waited over an hour for the food. I ordered the 2 tenders and fries plate but received one tender and a slider. The fries were hot and crispy! The best thing on the plate. I was not a fan of the chicken. The seasoning they used have a sweet taste and I don't like sweet chicken. I would not recommend this place.

wow customer service at this location is the best we live closer to the Buford location but JENTRY MAKES ARE VISIT WORTH THE DRIVE always inviting remembered my grandson from are previous visit and always steps out to say hey she deserves a promotion

Once the new restaurant hype has worn down, we decided to give Dave's Hot Chicken a go. The ordering was fairly easy and the customer service was amazing. The restaurants ambience is good as well. Now on to the chicken...lol. I had the mild Dave's bites and a strawberry lemonade. The Mrs' had the slider and tender combo, mild as well. The tenders were juicy and the seasoning on the bites, tender and slider was ok. Something ever comparable is Hattie B's Hot Chicken, which does it better than Dave's. For a quick bite to eat, it was reasonable and should fair well on the 138 corridor here in Conyers. If you want better tasting tenders Huey Magoo's is the best tenders bar none! Dave's is an ok spot the frozen drinks are the best tho!!!

I tried it Hot. I liked it. It was a good heat and the fries were okay. The Slushee is like any other Slushee & good if you like those. I didn't try a milkshake or anything else. I enjoyed my meal. It's as good as Hattie B's is. The only difference is they offer strips instead of chicken. Instead of that good peach cobbler from Hattie B's. They have Sluhsee's. Hopefully this is the start of locations around GA.

Went to Dave's during their opening weekend. We waited like an hour for the food after ordering inside. The food is good we ordered the sliders, bites, Oreo milkshake and slushie. I ordered mild but I expected a little bit more spice. There was none. I plan to go back and try to go up on the spice level. Sliders were delicious they come with pickles, Dave sauce and you can add cheese. The combo adds slaw, fries and drink. My husband ordered the "blue" slushie. He said it just a slushie I got the Oreo top loaded milkshake. It's a Oreo top loaded milk shake, sweet custard like. Overall it was good, nothing special. I would come back when the wait isn't so long and I wanted something different.

After waiting for 35 minutes, I didn't enjoy it as I hoped I would. The flavor was confusing because I really did taste anything besides hot meat. It was a big slab of chicken on a bun that was ill-fitting to the sandwich. I had high expectations for this experience being my first for Dave's. Now, I have absolutely no expectations. I would like a refund and would gladly return these two meals if I could get that.

Wtf. I've been sitting in line for half an hour. Are you kidding me? I wish I could get my money back and leave. This is ridiculous. For a drive through to take half an hour is obscene. Don't come here.

Terrible service.... I walk in at 9:40 pm the guy told us the system was down and he can't take our order but told us we could order on line it would take 30 mins ,,,,,, must be they don't like to take out the trash and cleaning the dining room people eating here before 10pm ......WTF went to the drive through and people was ordering and the line was moving after sitting in line 20 mins 3 cars in front of me got my food $35 dollars can I get a discount for this terrible customer service .. Someone needs to fired this manager and staff trained your team better ..... I hope the right manager contacts me back .... I think we all know lazy people want more money but don't want to do their job .......

The Spot is nice and clean. The Chicken pieces were delayed due to them being freshly cooked to order. Workers were nice. The Honey and the Sauce!!!!! IS A MUST!!! Delicious!

Wish I could give them Five Stars but because of the long wait (hour and half) can't. It's probably because their Chicken is Good and Juicy but it's Really for Chicken Lovers That Love Very Spicy Chicken...need a bigger place too!!!

I heard about the hype for this restaurant and couldn't wait to try it. Of course the line was wrapped around the building and then some, but I was determined to try the infamous hot chicken. The food was fresh and the service was great. I will say the spicy chicken is actually spicy so if you are not a fan of spice steer clear. The fries were awesome. The bread was awesome. Everything was highly recommend.

So I've been hearing about Dave's hot chicken and decided to give it a go. I ordered a two-piece chicken tender combo with macaroni instead of fries and a side of kale slaw. One tender. I ordered hot and the second I ordered extra hot. Both flavors were very good and I was able to manage the extra hot. This cambo cost $14. At first I was skeptical because of the price but realize that the tenders were a pretty decent size. I also ordered a frozen minute maid strawberry lemonade but instead I got a blue flavored slushie which was still good. Nonetheless. I ordered off of doordash so I didn't get to see the establishment but I believe it's in a food truck area within Conyers. Georgia not too far for me. The delivery was pretty quick and the food was fresh. I also enjoyed the kale salad. In the pic of the kale salad I added salt and cayenne pepper which is the seasonings that you see in the picture. However, it does not come with those seasonings. Next time I'm going to try their tender bites and a different sauce as well. Well. Other than that, the service was great and the food was great and I am overall satisfied.

We have been twice for take out. The wait time varies, but we happened to find a sweet spot in the day which is the only reason we stopped. Everyone inside was friendly and helpful. The medium and mild chicken had very little heat. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The pickles were ok. Fries are good and so is the sauce.

Everything was delicious and worth the wait and price. We had the FRIED cauliflower it became our new favorite side dish. The SLIDERS was a WOW me moment.

Welcome to the area!! Waited for the hype to die down a little to give this place a try. Walked in no line, but seating was full. The cashier was the worst! I said we should leave just because of her attitude but we didn't. Ordered 3 sliders, a tender and 2 orders of fries. $40 plus can't remember exact price but if you are looking for a cheap meal this is not your place. Waited 30 min or so and received warm chicken and fries, disappointing! I gave the cashier a layup! I said it's my first visit and she literally stared at me like and? Train your staff this is where you gain loyal customers. Now the food quality wasn't better than the service so I could have excused the young lady attitude if the food was awesome but not even close. I think they did a nice job converting the Krystal's, need to tighten up the cleaning, not easy I'm sure but possible. Might try again one day!

I visited initially on opening weekend for this location. It was a long wait time, but it was expected given it just opened. At that time, the service from the young lady taking the orders and the young man giving out the orders was great. However, the food itself was just okay- nothing spectacular. Certainly not worth the social media hype IMO. But, I wanted to give it another chance. So, I went back yesterday, 10/27/24. This time I ordered in the drive-thru. The food I received this time tasted much better than before- hotter and fresher. However, the young lady at the drive-thru window seemed to be irritated when I asked for extra Dave's Sauce and honey. If there was an extra charge for it, all she had to do was state that. But for whatever reason, she seemed bothered. Her customer service was not good at all. Overall, I would revisit if I am in the area again. Hopefully, the food quality will continue to improve and the customer service skills of SOME of their workers will be better as well.

Usher recently opened a Dave's Hot Chicken in Conyers that had a line of cars that would rope around the building for months and I was just waiting on my chance to finally try the hype ! So I went one day after church. I was displeased with how many items they were out of as well as the health score of an 86 after officially opening 8/30/24. Overall the slider was tasty and fries seasoned and hot but instead of Usher feeding cherries he needs to be more hands on at this restaurant if it wants longevity! Come on now.

They had good customer service and food was amazing. The only thing wrong was I seen a worker from the back come to the front to fight a worker.

Omg!!!!Alexis the #3 combo did not disappoint I could not stop eating the fresh hot fries and then the tender was delicious even down to the pickles...im so full I will have to finish the sandwich for dinner...Shout out to this shift for the fresh hot amazing food!!!!I will be back had to wait to try until the crowds died down im glad I came through today

First time trying this place. The food was very tasty. There was nothing wrong with it. This is the only location in Georgia currently. Good thing I'm here on a church assignment. Lol. If you are in the area, I encourage you to check this joint out.

The counter service was friendly. I enjoyed seeing so many young people with pleasant demeanors working there. They all wore gloves, another plus. I ordered medium hot chicken and slaw. Nothing tasted good. The chicken seems like frozen, breaded pieces that were smothered in paprika or some other spice that gives it the red color. It was salty and tasteless. The fries and bread seemed old. The slaw tasted okay but nothing makesme want to go back for more.

Waited for the crowding to die down but after a few weeks it's still there. Best way to order is through the app and then pick it up. The food itself was ok, neither good nor bad. Had a slider with fries with mild heat. Not much flavor but the fries were good. Will try again with more heat but I hope they don't sacrifice flavor for heat. We will see

Service was fairly quick considering the crowd. The food was hot (temperature) and fresh. Services were pleasant. Spiciness of food was on target.

This place has the worst customer service. They ignore customers and won't service them.

We got there early around 1045 am since we were coming from Henry county and there was already a line of cars before it. Honestly if I was one of the workers I would probably cry to see such a long before my shift even started but the young girl who took my order didn't look stressed and was very polite and friendly. We ordered the Dave's #2 (spicy) and Dave's #3 (extra spicy and spicy). It was really really good. The chicken was perfectly spicy. I could have handled some more spice but that's just me as an Indian who regularly eats spicy foods. The chicken was juicy, the fries perfectly crisp and seasoned. I'll definitely go back again for sure. Loved it!!

Okay I never really heard of Dave's Hot Chicken people, or maybe I wasn't paying attention but my best friend was grilling me going here in since it's in conyers and oh. My. GOODNESS! That chicken was absolutely amazing. It's a new establish and obviously popular because we waited 45 minutes for our food and the music was obnoxiously loud BUT THAT FOOD WAS SO GOOD! It was amazing, staff was quick and kind. Amazing. Can't wait to go again. The chicken was so juicy and delicious. Pickles AMAZING. Got the Hot flavor and it wasn't toooo spicy it was enjoyable.

Saw this pop up on social media and thought it would be neat to try. There's not one close to us but we were at a softball tournament and stumbled upon one! Place was packed inside and out. Really good food. Huge portions. Staff was super nice. We had no idea what to order or what sauces to choose. They were very helpful and steered us in the right direction.

I didn't even go for myself I picked up a order for someone. The order was wrong she requested sliders they gave her a chicken sandwich. The fries were bland. The chicken slick tasted like chic-fil-a . The chicken on the bun was very small it didn't even cover the entire or come close to covering the bun. I happened to look in the back I saw the fry guy with no gloves on. If you want hot chicken just take a drive to Atlanta to Hattie b's. They should have kept Krystal's open

Great to have something new in the area, but i'm not feeling the food. It does get a lot of service as a new place. It's a different design restaurant, which will stand out when you're on the highway looking for something to eat.
