Dave's Hot Chicken

We were very hungry, so we decided to try Dave’s. The food was a bit expensive, but it’s halal, and the workers were very friendly. Unfortunately, our food came out cold, although the mac and cheese was nice and hot. When I mentioned this to one of the workers, he immediately apologized and offered to remake our food. I politely refused, but his kindness and professionalism really touched my heart. That’s why I’m giving them a good rating — not just for the food, but for their great customer service.

The tenders are really good! You can choose your hotness level. I found extra hot to be really good both flavour wise and the spice level. The place looks cool and relaxed. Tenders are priced at $6 and I think you would need 2 tenders for filling meal. Do keep a glass of water while you have this.

Just opened, so gave them a try today. Really outstanding across the board. Friendly staff, the manager greeting everyone personally, and a fun, upbeat atmosphere. The chicken was very good - juicy and well seasoned. I tried both the sliders and the tenders. For me, the slider was the winner - the slaw, pickles, sauce and bun were a perfect balance to the tender, spicy chicken. It all worked really well together. I tried medium, hot, and extra hot. I'm one who likes things on the hotter/spicier side in general. I found the medium had GREAT flavor, and a touch of heat. Hot maintained the same great flavor, with a little more kick. Extra hot, surprisingly, was basically just heat - I lost the flavor profile. I can't imagine the REAPER level! I will definitely be back. It's an authentic Nashville hot chicken experience.

Despite the fact that they don't have the cauliflower menu items at this store like the other locations did, I still had a pretty good experience at this location. Staff were very nice and responsive to customer's needs (water cup request, ketchup/honey packets, etc). Although the fries could use some more seasoning, the slider was cravable like always. Kudos for the opening of the Cottle location.

The food was great, I got exactly what I was looking for, they gave me all of the pickles, honey, and sauce I wanted. The service was also outstanding, a Kevin Nguyen greeted me and accommodated my requests for extra sauce and honey.

Total disappointment! I waited in line for 25 minutes with my little son for the free slider, and then they said the code didn’t work. Such a bad experience — after waiting that long, hearing “sorry, the system isn’t working” was really unprofessional. Never coming back again!

#2 combo, 2 sliders w/ fries for almost $19. Sandwiches are good and tasteful but the fries were half full; kinda disappointed when i open box. Just skip the fries and get the sandwiches only for the value. *Thank u for reply, i"ll swing by to try the fry combo*

Lots of parking available at this location. Would highly recommend ordering online ahead of time. Definitely asked for a honey and extra sauce. The slushes and the vanilla milkshake are always delicious.

The food was pretty good but the service not so much. Staff were not friendly, not rude, just seemed like they didn't want to be there and don't care about customer service. We ordered the chicken sandwich and mac and cheese. If you like spice, go medium or above. Anything below that has no spice. The chicken was really good, crunchy and moist. The coleslaw they use is really good but they don't put enough in the sandwich for my taste. The fries are delicious. They are seasoned pretty well so if you like plain fries, these are not for you. I also like their sauce. I say skip the mac and cheese. It was watery and lacked flavor. Meals don't come with drink which is weird. Overall the food is good.

Had a great time eating here with a friend! It's a great new addition to the cottle plaza, adding a new flavor to the many restaurants around the area. It replaced the Blaze Pizza, and it has lots of personality with its vivid wall murals, spacious indoor/outdoor seating. We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon around 3:30 pm and no wait since it was a lull period with some diners already there. I got their chicken sliders combo of two chicken tender sliders and fries. I got the mild and it arrived after 7-10 minutes. It was massive! It definitely beat my expectations in terms of portion, flavor, and texture. It was so crispy and flavorful, so juicy and tender as well. The fries were seasoned perfectly, especially with the Cajun spices. Great dining experience!

Might be a hot take, but the sides here are better than the chicken itself LOL I love how perfectly crispy the crinkle cut fries are. They are well seasoned and have the best mashed potato filling texture. The mac & cheese is also so scrumptious! Cheesy and smooth. A lot of rich flavor. The chicken tenders itself are heavy on the salty side, but definitely seasoned. A little greasy, but has the guilty fried chicken texture I like. Overall, it's decent and the sauce is yummy!

Finally, I had the much hyped Dave's Hot Chicken and the hype is not real. Full disclosure, I ordered this off of Door Dash. I got the 2 Tenders at medium heat with fries. Medium heat was not hot at all, but had good spice. I thought that heat level was perfect. The flavor was simply just ok. I have had much better tasting chicken at other hot chicken spots. The tenders were huge, so I will give them a star on that. The French fries were tasty. Dave's sauce was also lacking in flavor as well. I will definitely give Dave's Hot Chicken another try in the future, probably when I get a chance to heat in the restaurant. When it comes to taste and price, Chikin Drip is a much better in my opinion.

I finally stopped at the new Dave's Hot Chicken in the neighborhood. I had been to other places a couple of times, but this time I thought it was really good. The service was nice and friendly. The food was really good. The chicken was hot and crispy with a nice balance of flavor on the sliders. The fries were good though just warm. I thought the medium spice level was closer to mild than medium but that's fine. I'll just go up to hot next time.

We decided to stop by a new location for Dave's Hot chicken. It was really nice and big inside and busy. We placed our order at the front register. I noticed they didn't have any kiosks to order from, like some of the other locations. We were given a little remote buzzer and found a table. There is a lot of seating inside. It's probably one of the largest Dave's I've ever been to. Our buzzer went off and we got our food. The chicken was hot and juicy. It was perfectly cooked. We were both impressed with how well they executed our meal. I also want to mention that it is very clean inside and they have excellent customer service. A great experience all around.

YAY. They opened a location soo close to home! It's located in Village Oaks shopping center, same as Five Below and Marshall's, right next door to Chipotle off Cottle Road. Getting close parking kinda sucks during lunch and dinner hours. Parking spots are kinda narrow too. My husband and I came around 12:20pm on a Friday and they were busyyyy. There was a bunch of staff welcoming and directing people where to order. We placed our order with the cashier and we were given a buzzer for when our food is ready. We found out that we actually came grand opening day and we were given a 2 chicken pins and a shrilling chicken toy. Lol The restaurant had high ceilings and walls covered in graffiti. They offer indoor and outdoor seating but we opted to sit indoors since the outdoor area was not shaded and it was a hot day. It took about 10 minutes to get our food. We ordered.. DAVES #2 $17.49 -2 sliders with fries. Served with kale slaw, pickles and dave's sauce. We got this "medium" hot. The crinkle fries were amazing as always! They perfected the crispy exterior to the soft potato-y interior. They were perfectly seasoned too. The sliders were pretty good. Good ratio of slaw, pickles and bun but the chicken tender was a bit dry. "Medium" hot felt more like "mild," so I didn't get that kick. Definitely needed that dave's sauce and I also added a drizzle of honey. 4/5* SINGLE TENDER $5.99 -we got this "medium" hot. The tender came on piece of white bread. It also came with a few slices of cool crunchy pickles and dave's sauce. The chicken tender wasn't juicy enough for me and I definitely needed to dip it into dave's sauce for some flavor. I also added some honey for that sweetness too. Altogether it was good. 4/5* MAC N CHEESE $4.99 -the macaroni was cooked well, not mushy. The cheese sauce was more on the soupy side. Pretty good, just not my preference. 3/5* All the workers were very friendly. They checked up on all the tables and provided togo boxes, wet wipes or napkins, if needed. Even bussed a few tables too. I like how they open until midnight, so I can get a late night snack if I'm craving! Can't wait to go back and try their "hot" and possibly "extra hot."

Dave's hot chicken just opened up. I tried the combo with 2 tenders. For the spice level, I ordered mild and lite mild. I was surprised that it was a dry rub seasoning. The mild tender was not spicy at all. The chicken was crispy and juicy. The fries were decent with some seasoning on it. The combo came with 2 sandwich bread slices and slices of pickles. Overall, service was good here. There are plenty of tables inside, too.

4/5 Tried Dave's Hot Chicken for takeout for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised! * The fries stayed pretty crispy even after the drive home -- always a plus for takeout. * The chicken was on point: juicy, flavorful, and not dry at all. * I also liked the packaging -- neat and kept everything warm. Overall, solid experience and definitely worth a return visit.

The chicken is great. Moist not dried out and chewy like most fried chicken places. The varying degree of spiciness is interesting. Be careful. It gets ridiculously hot. Even the basic was too hot for me at first. And I usually like spicy things. But this place can go away over the top with heat. Go slow and you'll be fine. I love the free refills on the drinks, however. You're going to need them.

I came in for some chicken tenders but ended up ordering loaded fries. Oh my, the spices are addicting the fries are topped with nacho cheese, pickles, and juicy chicken bites. It's the perfect savory combo, fried goodness, spiced, creamy, and pickles for that tarty finish. I think the slushies are new on the menu, I ordered a punch I thought it was the perfect compliment to the fried chicken. They have fried cauliflower at other locations, I wish they add that to the menu at this location.

Start by saying I love Dave's hot chicken. I regularly go to the one in Saratoga and on Brokaw and never had any issues. I was very excited when they opened the Dave's hot chicken so close to where I live. I've now ordered from this place three times and all three times I've had quality issues. First time I ordered mac & cheese and they gave me fries instead I didn't realize till I got home cause I shouldn't have to check my order. They should get it right. The second time they barely put any coleslaw on my sandwich which quite frankly makes the sandwich. This time I asked the manager to confirm that there was enough coleslaw on it and rather than check my order she decided to give me a lecture on how much coleslaw comes with it being a regular customer of Dave's hot chicken. I am very familiar with how much coleslaw come on my sandwich. This will be the last time I go to this location

I'm a big fan of Dave's Hot Chicken but this place is off. The seasoning and heat level of "Hot" is like mild here and the medium is like no spice at all. The chicken also feels very "thin" compared to other locations. I was afraid this would happen when they grow too fast and expand everywhere. Quality is just not the same, off day or not that is a disappointment when a chain does not have consistency.

I am not sure what I was expecting but this was not it at all. I am familiar with the location but did not expect to walk into a totally psychedelic box. And I'm from that ear but still it was overwhelming. Then not all that familiar with the concept I expected obviously the hot chicken but all they had was chicken, fries, and a kale salad. They had more choices of drinks than food. No onion rings. No tater tots. So too limited for my taste. The chicken was good just a bit "powdery" for me. And the pickles were spot on. Pretty shire I won't be heading back here again.

Chicken is tasty and the service is good. Been there twice already because my kids really enjoyed it. On the second time they got my order wrong. I subbed in slaw for the fries, and the attached receipt even reflected that, but I still got fries and no slaw. Still, I'm sure this was just them being new and they'll work it out.

We ordered saucy nuggets, extra saucy. We look inside, it's completely dry, maybe a speck of sauce got in there. I'm not sure how it happened since it clearly says in the ticket that it's supposed to be EXTRA saucy--that's literally the food itself as well. Almost $20 for this. We only checked after we got home, super disappointed since it's far from where we live. The cashiers were kind though but not sure why food is like this.

DELICIOUS!!! I love hot sauce. Normally, nobody sells "too hot for me", but their Hot level (2 steps below the highest) is right for me. At first, I'm fine but a couple of tenders in and I have to take a break. Tenders are delicious, sliders are delicious, their fries are solid.

The Food is Good better than most spots. The service is great to they always greet you and welcome you . The location to this place is great as well closer to home

Food was delicious and service friendly and very neat store and kind. They also help me to decide on what to eat

So they responded to my complaint and made it right. Ill be honest its good chicken but I just dont see the hype. Its basically one flavor just different levels of spice. The sauce isn't anything special raising canes is way better. They have big strips and good customer service. But the food itself is expensive and underwhelming for price. I might stop by randomly just can't see me eating here regularly.

Food was perfectly cooked, customer service was top quality they try their best to be their best, the soda machine area super clean tables are clean floors are clean, over all they have great management the manager has the workers and everything under control they are very polite and helpful. Thank you for great customer service!!

Food was great, went during the free sliders promo and still got our food relatively quick. Employees were very nice and helpful, offered to take our trays when we were done.

Delicious! Juicy and tender chicken with a great crispy exterior. The spicy coating had a solid kick (I ordered "hot") but was not overwhelming. Fries were crispy on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside. The "Dave's sauce" is killer - exceptionally good. Counter service was quick and friendly. Ambiance is consistent with the brand and other restaurants in the area.

i went in today the people working were nice and the food was a lil cold but everything else was good

came here 30 minutes before closing, workers still took their time to make sure my order was correct and were super friendly and welcoming!. Food was delicious too, will definitely be eating here again.
