I was very pleased with my first experience here. The servers were nice and the chicken 🍗 was delicious, though I wish there was a bit more distinction between the different spice 🌶️ levels. The portion sizes were pretty big and I was full after the meal. Prices 💰 were also reasonable, which is hard to find in this day and age!

Some of the best food I have had. The tenders, the sandwich, the fries the sauce all so well seasoned, juicy and fresh. The food was actually spicy. Price was amazing for the quality and service was good. Place was clean good air conditioned and good seatings. All and all a must go place with delicious food. Make sure you put the honey!

Everything was really good from start to finish. The food so good!!! What really stood out was the night staff they were absolutely amazing. Everyone was friendly, patient, and made sure everything was right, even during late hours. Their positive attitude and great customer service truly made the experience better. You can tell they take pride in their work. I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

The chicken was delicious — crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with a perfectly balanced batter. Above all, the staff were friendly and explained everything clearly, which made the experience feel warm and comfortable.

If you're looking for an amazing friend chicken sandwich, this ain't the place - go to Roaming Rooster about 4 mins drive from here. The dry spice rub is mediocre compared to others I've bhad in the area. Not visiting this place again. The loaded fries were the saving grace though sans chicken on it.

The staff are super friendly and attentive! A nice greeting is given to welcome you into the store. The food was very good, tender and juicy chicken as always, and it came out hot and fresh. Pictured is the #3 combo: One Tender and One Slider with fries. I definitely recommend using the provided honey to add to the chicken.

Food was fantastic and spicy. Not over fried and over breaded but just right. Tiffani was great in answering my questions and suggesting I try the tender and slider combo. This is not a normal slider but basically a sandwich and the tender was large so great value for food, great service, and great taste!

Amazing chicken one of the best in the tysons area. I dont know how they make it but it is top tier for all other chicken restraunts. Spectacular food.

My friend urged us to try what he claims is the best chicken sandwich out there, so we took the 20 minute drive and it did NOT disappoint. Dave's Hot Chicken is amazingly tender and heavenly seasoned, and despite the name you can choose your heat level. I'm decently okay with spice and got a Dave's number 2 sandwich at the medium heat level, which isn't that spicy. After taking my first bite, I agreed with my friend. I think this takes the number one spot for chicken sandwiches. And to top it all off, the fries are perfectly crispy and seasoned AND ON TOP OF THAT they have these HI-C slushes that are so good (i'd recommend the orange). The crowd here is pretty young and the place can get a little rowdy, but it's only because the food is good and the portions are pretty good for the price. The workers are nice and the space can fit a good amount of people. Outdoor seating is available too.

What I really love about this place is that they have a vegetarian option (the cauliflower) and it's spiiiicy! Their fries are also good. This is definitely a fast food place (but more expensive than a fast food), still, I love it. Note to the franchisees though, add more veggie options like a beyond chicken tenders or something and you'll see even further market growth. I'll be coming back though! I tried Dave's for the first time today - had the tender and slider combo, both extra hot. They were both very good - hot and fresh, crispy, and a nice level of heat (for extra hot). The French fries were also seasoned well and nice and crispy.

I want to start off by saying that this place is very affordable and the pricing is amazing for the size of the portions. They got so many great deals and combos. Personally, the taste was a little off for me. I felt like my chicken was heavily coated with spices. It tasted very powdery in my mouth. The fries were delicious though! The staff was quick and they were helpful when ordering and getting supplies. This location is a little small but they still have plenty of seating and everything was clean and organised.

This is a nice spot in the Tyson's area that exclusively offers "hot" chicken. The reason for the air quotes is because the dry rub and flavors aren't hot at all. We even ordered the spiciest option and that was probably the level 2 or 3 at most places that offer 5 levels of spicy. So just manage your expectations if you are looking hot and spicy. The chicken itself is freshly breaded and fried so every bite is extra crispy! Aside from that, the service is incredibly friendly and efficient. The entire ordering and receiving process took less than 5 mins. The store has a fun and open vibe so definitely a place you could hang with friends and enjoy a decent meal.

Great customer service. Everyone was nice and helpful. The chicken sliders were amazing. I got the medium spice level. The orange hi c slush with strawberry popping bubbles was so refreshing and delicious. They had indoor and outdoor tables.

Absolutely delish. They call their sandwiches "sliders" but they're not small at all. I ordered one slider and one chicken tender with fries. The chicken was crispy and juicy, not dried out at all. Did not order a beverage. They have different degrees of heat available from very mild to extra spicy. Milkshakes are available as well. Open pretty late. Nice, colorful art murals on the walls. I would equate this place to Five Guys, but for chicken sandwiches rather than burgers. I think this place is much better than Hangry Joes Hot Chicken, in my opinion. Highly recommend.

You could say Dave's Hot Chicken is egg-cellent for a casual bite! I ordered Dave's #1, which came with two tenders, toast, pickles, and french fries. The chicken was very fresh and juicy, and I really enjoyed that aspect of it. The tenders were only two pieces, but they were quite large, so it felt like a good portion. I also appreciated that they offer varying spice levels--I ordered a medium, which had a nice kick but wasn't too spicy at all. However, I found the coating on the tenders a bit too powdery--it lingered in my mouth and gave a strange texture at times. The french fries, on the other hand, were excellent--hot, crisp, and just what you'd hope for in a side. The atmosphere was busy and bustling, and it seems to attract a younger crowd, which adds to the lively vibe. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try if you're in the mood for some fresh, flavorful chicken and good fries, but be aware of the coating texture if that's something you're picky about!

I had a great meal here at Dave's Hot Chicken. It's a fast food chain that opened within the last year in the Tyson's Corner location. The set up is like any regular fast food restaurant-- you order at the the counter and given a number and wait until your number gets called to collect your food. The food didn't take long either. I ordered the Dave's #4 which is 1 chicken slider, fries and a drink. They call it a slider but the sandwich was on the bigger size. The sandwich had pickles, coleslaw, a type of sauce and the most tender on the inside and crispy on the outside piece of chicken i have had in awhile. SOOOO GOOD. You can also choose from mild to extra spicy. You get extra pickles on the side too which i was happy about as a pickle lover. The fries were cripsy but i prefer it with less seasoning. I will definitely be back!

5 stars as always. This store has never been a miss yet, only a hit. I always get hot fresh and tasty food when I order here. And the customer service is outstanding as well.

Been to Dave's Hot Chicken many times. First review as I finally around to it. First, sign up for their rewards program as you will be going time aftet time. In terms of quality of food, it's very high quality although it's not consistent. I have had on some instances where the chicken wasn't hot and fresh & some of the fries were also not hot & crispy. But this evening, everything was perfect. It did take a while as it was extremely busy and its made to order. My son usually gets the medium and I usually get the hot. It's not super spicy but leaves a little tingle in your mouth. The Dave's dipping sauce is a type of mayo/ketchup based sauce with spices. The fries are crinkle cut, seasoned and of smallest size. When cooked hot & fresh, the chicken is extremely moist & juicy. The outer coating is crispy and generously dusted with your order level of spiciness. I've tried the Kale slaw and although it's really good, the serving size is small & does not justify the price. I would say it's a dollar too expensive. The service is good. The music played is classic rock and rock in general & loud. They serve coca cola fountain drinks and gold peak ice tea with various flavors. The down side is that the prices are on the moderate side but is kinda justified by the quality of chicken. Oh and with any fried foods, it's best consumed at the location and not as good delivered or carry out.

Perfect for an easy Friday night bite! As someone who doesn't have a high spicy tolerance the 'Mild' was perfect. My partner got 'Hot' and said it was very good. The sauce is amazing!! Also, the staff is very helpful if it's your first time they'll explain the spice levels to you. The food was fresh and the milkshake was very good. Will definitely come again!

FOOD We ordered a regular hot box (hot and extra hot) and a hot box roulette of tenders. They each came with a container of pickles and sauce as well as sliced bread, and we asked for extra sauce packets and honey when picking up. The tenders were well-breaded, seasoned, and definitely packed a punch. The spiciness of the reaper lingers for about 10-15 minutes but quickly resolves afterwards. The others are the same but at a lesser level. Definitely a great place to stop by if looking for a fun meal! SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly. You have to ask when picking up for utensils, napkins, and sauces as they are located behind the register. AMBIANCE Ample seating is available both indoors and outdoors. We went on a Thursday night, and it was relatively packed with people both inside and out. PARKING A good amount of parking is available at the side of the store.

This is one of the better hot chicken places in DMV. Very easy to order and the food comes out quickly. The only reason why it is not a 5 star is that the size of the chicken is inconsistent. Some days, it is a big piece and other times it is smaller. It also different sizes between a slider or tenders. I would say for regular person, the chicken is spicy enough at Hot level. I backed off to just medium. I like to enjoy my food. It is also nice to be able to eat outdoor at night with the weather warming up.

Dave's vs Joe's - Dave's won for us as far as chicken tenders go. We got the 10 piece for $40, great value IMO bc we got 3 meals out of it essentially. The tenders were huge and flavorful. The mild was not spicy at all but the hot was pretty spicy so I'll go for medium next time.

This food has to be the WORST I have ever put in my body. No clue how this is even edible. Around 8:30 pm on Friday night, I decided to stop at Dave's Hot Chicken. Boy, do I regret doing this. Around 8:40 pm, I finally received my order of Dave's Hot Chicken. I was thrilled. However, I did notice it looked like it had a very thick coat of breading and seasoning. Despite this, I decided to have two bites of the Dave's Hot Chicken that looks like it sat in the deep fryer for 3 days (or perhaps 3 minutes because I was food poisoned). Next thing you know, I found myself in their parking lot needing medical attention. I was Vomiting and experiencing the most severe Acid Reflux, it felt like I ate a piece of dave's hot chicken sent from hell. After an hour of puking and fighting for my life, I finally felt ok to drive home. However, when I got home i had another flare up puking and throwing up Dave's Hot Chicken once again. When throwing up 3 hours, I was still able to feel and taste the Dave's Hot Chicken. Around 11:30 pm, I was hospitalized with severe Acid Reflux as the pain was unbearable. Food poisoning. At this point in time they drew blood and had injected 7 different medications and 2 IV's to keep me in stable medical condition. Finally, at 4:30 am I was discharged still feeling like crap. Slept through the night and when I woke up, round 2 began at around 12 pm the next day. I would not put whatever you call this into your body. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Dave's Hot Chicken. What a horrible experience.

Been twice and it hit the spot both times. Chicken tenders are a good size and were piping hot with just the right amount of spice, friendly service in a clean comfortable environment. Great value.

I am a huge fan of Dave's Hot Chicken. First had it in 2021 and have been loving it since. I was so happy when this location opened last year because it's only 20 mins away now! My gf and I go here somewhat often and the quality is always amazing. The chicken always is juicy and tender no matter how busy or slow it is. We've even left it out for a couple of hours before and ate it and it was still juicy and delicious. The meals are also served with fries but that's just a nice addition. The service here is usually pretty quick. They can stay busy (due in part to the great marketing they have) so it's nice that you typically don't have to wait long. The ambiance is always the cool thing to me. Each store is painted by a local artist and makes for a cool experience. We've been to Dave's in Vegas, Kentucky, NYC, DC, and NoVa and each feels familiar but has its own art. I highly recommend Dave's to any hot chicken lover. They also have no spice chicken or mild if you aren't as much of a fan of heat.

Pretty solid chicken spot. Been to a few different ones in the area but they generally offer the same items with similar prices. Service was friendly, especially from Jackie who took my order. Wait time wasn't too too long but also wasn't blazing fast. I ordered the hot spice level tenders and it was too much heat for me. The sauces they give you are a bit small so you have to go up and ask for more. Fries were hot and crispy and easy to much on to deal with the heat. Overall, another good chicken.

Ok! Be careful! Don't joke with the Reaper! I made fun of the waiver, and now I know why! Lol, stay away from the reaper! I'm a spicy food lover and couldn't handle it! Luckily, they had milk shake! The place is nice and has nice outdoor seats! Amazing sandwiches , not so many options in toppings, but honestly, the only topping I really feel I need is lettuce ! I love it that they have cheese! There are so many of those chicken sandwich places that don't offer cheese like Hot Lola's, and I hate that! Thank you, Dave! I like that you can get different levels for spicy. I really liked the extra hot but shouldn't at all get the reaper! It's unnecessary! Lol The team was nice and courteous enough to give me a replacement sandwich for the reaper even though it was my fault and my bad choice! I'll definitely go there again

I'm probably the biggest fan of Dave's Hot Chicken so when I visited this location for my birthday I was expecting nothing but the best. The location is small and all the tables get taken quickly. We were able to catch someone right as they got up. A few minutes after we ordered a family of 15+ people walked in. There was clearly not enough room for them, so they had to arrange tables to eventually get all sat together. In the meantime, they kind of hovered over people. I knocked the review down a star because one of the guys in the large family ended up getting into a verbal altercation with another table, likely over seating issues. It was about to turn violent, but the other table de-escalated the situation. No one from the restaurant intervened in any way. Overall, the food is a 5/5 but this location is a little rough around the edges. I would recommend doing carry out from here as the staff is very kind and responsive.

Better than other hot chicken places like Hangry Joe's in my opinion! The seasoning is very delicious- I recommend getting the honey and smearing that all over the sandwich as it adds flavor. The price is also fair which is a plus.

If you like turmeric, you will like Dave's hot chicken. I'm not the biggest fan of this place because I'm not a big fan of turmeric. Solid, price point for the quality of chicken you get. Fries and drink options can make you want more. Parking sucks since it's a busy corner. Waiting for your food while everyone else is trying to grab it makes the entire scenario uneasy. Overall solid but not my cup of tumeric.

My customer service person Tiki or Tickle was amazeballs!! He was so kind and kinda cute, hehe :3 I wasn't sure which chicken to get so he gave me a recommendation. So helpful!

Sometimes you just have to say "let's do this." Am happy this chain is now in the area. They are one of my favorites. I love combining Tennessee and South Korea! The hot chicken sandwiches here are no joke. I will stick to the mild as that's spicy enough, but truly nutty folks will love the various heat levels. The fries are awesome! What a fun place. Also to the employees, you're doing a great job. Wonderful service is here. Friendly folks and they work hard, to get the food out in a timely manner. My only complaint is minor. The parking lot in this strip mall can be rather stressful. Yet sometimes it's worth it. At this restaurant it is, and clean along with being organized as well. Will be back again soon.

Daves Hot Chicken is definitely some good quality chicken, whether you get the tenders or decide to go with the sandwich. The spice is just right, and the heat levels definitely bring the heat. Also, Daves Hot Chicken dipping sauce is fire, make sure you get extra sauce, they don't give enough unless you order extra.

I wanted to try this place because, to me, the chicken wars are still on! (with Chick-fil-A on top) Dave's did not disappoint, but they are not taking the top spot, nor did they stand out from the mid-tier chicken places. The chicken was juicy, hot, and flavorful. There was a light coat of seasoning that I enjoyed, however, i prefer to get some crunch out of my fried chicken, and these sandwiches didn't have that. I also enjoyed the serving sizes. You get a lot of quality chicken for your money. The sliders are basically full sized sandwiches. The fries were regular crinkle fries (I didn't taste the season) and the sauce was really good. Overall, I would definitely visit Dave's again when I am visiting NOVA, if only for a break from the normal chicken restaurants. Overall: 8/10 Location: Cool graffiti inside and outside, plus it was not hard to find parking 10/10 Prices: 8/10 Customer Service: they were busy, patient, and efficient. 8/10 Food: 8/10

Would I recommend this spot is not even a question! The answer will always be YES if they keep up the quality. I love Dave's! I'm soo sooooo happy they've finally come to our knock of woods. Probably the juiciest and most favorable fast food hot chicken spot you've had. This locations line is very long and it's really busy right now due to it opening up last week. However, it's totally worth the wait and the hype. The shake machine is currently down so I didn't get to try that out. However, the food and service was delicious. To Note: The chicken is halal It's affordable

** UBER EATS DELIVERY ORDER ** Had this as a delivery meal, and I am sort of disappointed in this place. I have been to Dave's Hot Chicken locations before but I like this one the least. My issues were that the chicken fry was not very crispy or crunchy, and that the spice (which I got at the spicy level) just was not spicy at all. I'm not sure if I got the wrong spice level for my chicken and tender, but I was expecting a lot more spice. The Mac and Cheese was actually really good, but part of me thinks it looks like instant mac and cheese, which I am a sucker for. I do want to caveat and say perhaps the quality deteriorated in transit as it steamed in the carton, but I've had take out before here and it wasn't as bad. I'd recommend other spicy fried chicken places because its such a competitive niche. This one didn't do it for me.

No problem with parking. Fresh New opened spot, with a good ambiance to it. I have eaten at daves in Cali this summer and looked forward to eat at D again. Service was good and personnel were attentive. We ordered sliders with different hotness to it and fries. The food was good.

Wow. Enough said. Done. Seriously, this place rocks. The sandwiches are made from tenders that are huge. Sometimes you will get a tender a bit bigger than another time it any time, they sizes of the tender is great. The breading and sauce are out of this world. They have no sauce, mild, medium, hot, extra hot and reaper, which for the reaper you need to sign a form. I have not tried the reaper. I usually do mild and sometimes get medium. The medium has a nice kick to it but what I like about the heat is it does not linger. The sandwiches come on sliders with kale slaw which is great as well as very good pickles. I am not a big fan of pickles but do eat the sandwich with pickles sometimes for variety. The fries are crinkle cut with great seasoning on them. It comes with a side of their secret sauce which is excellent. You can also get a pack of Crystal Luisiana hot sauce to kick it up a notch. I love Crystal sauce, I use it at home all the time. The milkshakes are very good as well. The staff there, when they first opened, they have been open a few months, had some small issues. But now it's a well oiled machine. The day they had the free sandwich promo I was blown away by how they handled the crowd. They had someone at the door limiting the amount of people that came in at a time to make the order and eating experience if you ate in store like a normal day. My daughter loves this place as well.

Dave's is coming to Virginia WHOOP WHOOP! It's about time, especially since they are already in Maryland & DC. The restaurant will be on the northern corner of the Pike Plaza 7 strip mall in Tyson's Corner. Dave's describes themselves as a fast-casual restaurant serving Nashville hot chicken. They have a lot of hype not online because they serve the yummalicious Nashville Hot chicken but also for the art they have throughout their restaurants, both inside & out. The menu offers four combo options of sliders & tenders, with spice levels ranging from none to reaper - reaper is where I'm at & addicted, lol! A wee bit of history: They were founded by four friends and started out as a tiny street food stand in an East Hollywood parking lot in 2017. They gained so much social media buzz that they moved to a mall storefront only one year later AND they scored a slew of celebrity investors. They now has over 100 locations across the U.S., Canada and the Middle East. I am so excited for this opening!!!

Surprised at the rating this place has! I'll speak on my experience and order! FOOD- combo #3 (one slider + one tender + fries) this meal was like $12.99... what?? I saw complaints about price and I just don't know how. SPICE LEVEL- I recommend getting a spice level BELOW what you would typically get at a different place. Their spice has a kick and a ton of flavor. ESPECIALLY with the tenders. The slider is a lot more tolerable because of the bread. AMBIANCE- Amazing! They've got a great, colorful art wall and plenty of seats (indoor+outdoor). SERVICE- of course I can't speak for regulars because I've only been here twice and I also definitely can't speak for the people who came during peak hours BUT when me and my S/O came here, service was great! Maybe they could smile a little but other than that, we got everything we needed perfectly. I would definitely come back again and again!

Took my family here because my kids were eager to try it. I tried the cauliflower hot sandwich and it was actually really good. My family enjoyed the chicken sliders. And of course it's great to know they're halal.

Keepin it real...not sure about the hype but then again I'm not a hot chicken aficionado. Dave's has gotten so much pub all over social media that you gotta give em a try. We head over the week of the grand opening and the line winds outside the door. We skip it but end up going back later that week. Pretty crowded still but no huge line. It does take the kitchen a good 10-15 minutes to get our food out which is kinda surprising considering the lack of a big crowd. We get 2 sliders (1 hot, 1 mild) with fries. No drink included with the 'combo' which once again is a little surprising. What do we think?? The chicken is ok. The paprika really takes over especially on the hot one. If you don't like paprika you want to skip Dave's. Not sure about the hype to be honest...but hey, to each his own...

These is one of those places which I consider a success with a simple menu. You go to Dave's to get the chicken slider and have it seasoned to your taste. I've gone many, many times and they don't disappoint. They deliver a consistent juicy and well spiced chicken. Don't be fooled by the name "slider"; one slider is a full meal. Their fries are also really good. And you should not forget to order one of their shakes... great price, great flavor.

Waited for half an hour and no sign says they ended the free slider reward. At the cashier, they claimed they end earlier today. If you can't do it you need to make a huge sign at the front instead of people waiting. Terrible service.

GREAT SPOT. We were in the area and wanted to try someone different when the kids were asking to eat at another chicken place. We don't have a Dave's in our area, so we thought, why not. 10/10 recommended Service was fast and friendly, and food was hot, made to order. I appreciated that they had different levels of spice for everyones taste. Food was well seasoned and tasted fresh. The kids also loved the pickels and Dave sauce. There were four of us, and we all said we would prefer it to the other "chicken place" (and no, not chick fil a) the kids wanted to go to. They even wanted to go back the second day we were there.

This was okay but hubby and I both agree we prefer Hangry Joe's. The fries were average & service was not up to par, at least not the afternoon we stopped in for a visit after a trip to the dealership.

I decided to pop in for a late lunch on a weekday. I arrived just in time as several groups of kids came in right after me. I ordered the two tenders (although the picture looks like I got three) and fries. I went with the "hot" level of spice and it was spot on. Maybe even a tad more spicy than I was anticipating. The fries were a perfect side to lessen the heat from the chicken. The service was friendly and my order was well packed to go. There is indoor and outdoor seating available, but, like me, most orders seemed to be takeout. I would definitely return!

Their chicken sliders are BOMB! Flavor is spicy but the sauce they put in gives it an extra flare. I wasn't too big a fan of the tenders so I will stick with the sliders next time. It was busy on a Saturday night so might have to prepare to take it to go.

Looking for a different place to eat ..new to the area so I ordered online. Once I picked up my order I opened it up and was disappointed. I ordered cauliflower bites and fries. The cashier bragged how good they were but I received something different. When I opened the order..it was a piece of cauliflower dipped in batter with sauce and it was warm and bland. The fries were too bad just warm and a little soggy. I wish I could get my money back

Opening day and the team is crushing it. Great, fast food and service. Plenty of seating. Even with the opening day crowd they were quick and efficient. Very friendly and greeting people at the door. We had the sliders, tenders, cheese fries and macaroni and cheese and it was all delicious.

After a workout I decided to give Dave's Hot Chicken a try. To explain the 3 star review is based on the food for the price. The chicken is actually quite good. I got medium to start on the middle spicewise. It was chili powder forward, with a little salt and sugar to hit the different taste buds. Medium was not too hot by any means, it was exactly that, medium which I appreciate. The coating was very crispy, which is another plus for their strips. The fries could use a makeover, I was not a fan. I got cheese fries substituted for $1.50 more and given the small size of the fries, the added cost for cheese is a steep addition. Overall, I got 2 chicken strips and a little bit of fries for $14, which I think is pricey. I typically review food based on the food you get for the price. If it were $10, this would be a 4 star review, and if the fries were tasty it would be 5 star, but as is the culinary experience for the price is a solid 3 stars. I do wish they had other options too for bone in chicken, and perhaps fish or some other variety on the menu. Looking back at the menu, you can order a single tender or single slider instead of the meal, which might be the way to go, but I will have to try their Mac n cheese as an alternative to their fries. Next time I will just order a single tender or single slider instead of the meal. Another tip, order a side of cheese sauce instead of cheese fries to save a dollar and so the fries don't become soggy

This 3 star rating is based off the food alone. I'll start by saying if you're not a fan of paprika... you will not care for the chicken. Aside from that... the chicken is not flavorful. We got a medium, mild and little mild tenders and they were all just blah. The fries and Mac and cheese were all good. Oh and the combos do not come with a drink. Which is odd, considering it's already on the pricey end. We also got an Oreo milkshake ... that was good! Service and atmosphere is on point. They were busy busy but handled orders quickly. There's plenty of space to eat inside and outside. The chicken just didn't hit like we all hoped for.

Great service! I can't stress that enough. The people who work here are so kind. The food is ok. Not amazing. And I'm not a huge fan of the space. But it's a fun place to visit from time to time.
