Nine Spicy and Creamy Chai Drinks to Keep You Cozy in San Francisco | Eater SF

"People are more or less familiar with the animal-themed works of David Rio, including its spacious Market Street cafe. The beautiful thing about grabbing chai at this Civic Center shop is the variety: there are 10 different chai lattes on the menu, including the spicy Cub Chai. That bad boy, when made with macadamia milk, may be the greatest chai latte in the city." - Paolo Bicchieri

Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. Their signature drinks are unique and tasty. Their ube latte tastes different than any other ube latte I’ve had. I come here every morning for my morning coffee John and Fransisco are extremely welcoming and this is my favorite coffee shop in the bay area.

If you like Chai, you should come here. It's my first visit and I'm sure it won't be the last. There's not really any nearby parking spots. Let's be honest this is San Francisco, a parking spot is not easily found. Anyway, it's a really cute Cafe/Bar. Love the ambiance, wall decor, and the layout. They have the bar and staff in the center. Which is perfect. I had the Tiger Spice Chai which was not too strong. Tasted pretty good with almond milk. I also had their banana nut muffin. Tasted like it had toasted walnuts. It had a perfect combination of a crisp outside and moist inside. Was paired well with my Chai. The staff were smiley and friendly. They had a big selection of Chai to choose from so I can't wait to try a different one! By the way, they serve beer and wine and they have vegan option.

Google
The cafe would have received higher marks if it didn’t charge extra for vegan / plant-based milks and if it had vegan baked goods. Nice cafe where you can get chai, coffee or beer/wine. There’s indoor and outdoor seating; the indoor seating is a bit dark which lends itself well for a more serene environment. Nice place to head to both during the day and evening.

Google
The staff are super friendly. They let me try a sugar free option which is awesome if you like sugar free. Not many places have sugar free. It taste great. The food is always good when I come. Got a breakfast sandwich and a dirty chai. Came with a side of fruit. Delicious 🤤 The sandwich is large so I was able to bring some back and my coworkers tried it and loved it so we're all going here for breakfast next outing.

Google
Cute cafe on Market St. It’s in a questionable part of town that’s involving. All their chai’s are made by them, but are all powdered. Looking at the ingredients online, they are not made of simple ingredients. They do have a few unique chai drinks. You can also get coffee drinks. My iced chai was decent. But personally I prefer liquid chai. When I went the cafe was closed and everything was takeout only. They had a few lunch items, but they didn’t look great. The breakfast pastries did look amazing! You can order their chai’s online or buy them in store.

I love to choose here to stay with friends. It's a good place to chat with close friends. There are many kinds of chais, so you can choose them depending on your mood. I like Tiger Spice Chai. It's a popular one that is a little bit spicy and sweet. Also, inside the store has good vibes. This place is not too crowded but also empty. It's because the location is a little bit apart to the heart of San Francisco. But it takes only around 8 min walking from Powell Station. For me, their chai serves a little bit low temperature, but I think for most people in the US, it feels a nice temperature. Sorry, Japanese people are too strict for the temperature of teas :)

Google
I thought this place was called tiger spice chai. Regardless, I ordered a combo of two types of chai and loved it. It was freaky and not too sweet and not too spicy. I recommend with almond milk because it's still delicious and dairy free!

Google
Great chai. This location is closing May 30, 2025! They plan to open at a new location around Embarcadero, Fisherman's Wharf, or Chase Center, but nothing set yet.

Yelp
Best chai in SF!!! The customer service was incredible and was amazing for doing work. I loved their unique style couches and the aroma of the bar. It was an incredible expirience and I mist go again! DEFINATELY recommend!!

Yelp
very interesting chai cafe with lots of different flavored chais. tried the signature tiger spice chai and thought the spice was not bad but overall it was a bit too sweet for me. would be down to try other flavor though

Yelp
If there's such a thing as a chai lovers paradise, this is it. Chai Bar has set and exceeded my bar in terms of chai teas and my perspective has now changed. If you're a chai drinker, I guarantee coming out of your way to visit will be well worth it. The inside of Chai Bar is expansive, minimalistically trendy, and polished. Unfortunately, they've closed off their indoor seating due to circumstances, therefore it operates as take-out only. In one area the cafe has the menu posted above. Another section is where you can buy David Rio's tea and other items such as packaged food, drinks, and their own pastries. After browsing, order at the chai bar and watch them carefully craft and execute your beverages. Lids, straws, and other items are self-serve in a different area. The barista helping us was swift, and cordial, and made our drinks flawlessly. When it comes to the flavor profiles of chai, I'm inexperienced as heck!l At Chai Bar their menu consists of specialty chai drinks, cold drinks, and non-chai tea options. In terms of the types of chai, they have several different options. Each comes with a description and the sweet versus spice ratio--sugar-free options and dairy alternatives are available as well. For those interested in hot, you can get all sizes. Iced beverages are only available in medium or large. Gravitating towards sweet, I got a Medium Iced Elephant Vanilla Chai with Soy Milk. It's heavy on vanilla and sweetness, not much spice action. To me it tasted like vanilla milk--not my alley but good to try. My companion ordered a Small Hot Pauli's Drink which is a combination of their elephant and cub chai. This drink was warm, spiced, and soothing--personally too spicy for me but he swooned over it. Chai Bar by David Rio is a pret-tea special place for chai seekers. I will go out of my way to support this exceptional cafe because it's located in a tough geographical and financial position. You can find a range of chai, coffee, and tea products plus Asian fusion baked goods and small bites. Parking can be tough since it's off Market Street but convenient for those downtown. I'm thrilled to go back and sip on their other signature chai lattes.

Yelp
It was my first try trying chai at a specialty place (I'm going to assume Starbucks chai latte doesn't count). The staff were super nice and happy to navigate me through the menu. I tried the tiger spice chai and it was delicious - very complex flavors and not too spicy. I hope that the indoor space opens up soon - this seems like a great place to hang out with friends or study. Can't wait to go explore the rest of the menu.

Yelp
Amazing options for chai as well as awesome service. Lots of yummy and healthy ingredients in my Chai drink. Love!

Yelp
Best chai I have ever had. A plethora of different chai combinations! They also serve their latte mixes on Amazon! Service was quick, but not too friendly. Parking: good luck finding parking in Union Square. I suggest walking to the establishment. Be careful of your surroundings SF Union Square has become littered with homeless and trash. Veg Views: Alternative milk (almond, oat) options available. Vegan drinks clearly labeled.

Yelp
Ordered the elephant vanilla chai with espresso. Forgot to mention size so they defaulted to 16oz. With oat milk. Delicious

Yelp
What an adorable spot. My friend and I got the chai here and I truly appreciate the menu for giving more information about the notes and the sweetening. The one I got was still too sweet for my taste (but that's my own fault as I ordered a sweeter one). But the next time I come back I know what to order! Service was wonderful (we were the only ones in there) and our drinks came out deliiicious.
google avatar

Victoria C.

Yelp
Been here 2x now and both times were great! The first time I came on my own during my lunch time. Ordered the Elephant Vanilla Chai with some clam chowder and it was delicious! Clam chowder was a bit too salty for my taste, but it was a solid choice on a cold, drizzly, and windy SF day. The second time, I brought friends with me and service was fast. The guy at the front was super friendly and accommodating. Ordered the same drink and the chicken pesto sandwich--also a great choice! Would not hesitate to come back and try other things on the menu.

Yelp
Huge fan of chai lattes so I heard about this spot in San Francisco. Glad I checked it out. They have a variety of different chai flavors and either iced or hot options. Tried the tiger chai chai latte. This drink has a bold flavor with a spicy kick at the end. I also made it dirty so that caffeine definitely hit. We also tried the power chai latte which has some green tea in it. We got a container to go that they sale to make at home. The cashier was very nice. He gave us some samples for free and we also got a complimentary sample of a chai latte.
google avatar

Yelp
Their chai teas are good. I ordered the Specialty Drink Chocolate Chai and it tasted very much like hot chocolate so I'll try something else next time. My husband didn't want anything that was too sweet so he ordered the Chai Cart Masala Chai, and he liked it very much. The Lox Toast was surprisingly good. I didn't expect to get something so tasty from a Chai Bar. I was very happy I ordered it.

Yelp
Did a quick caffeine run for my classmates. Staff was super nice and patient with taking our large drink order and ensuring they got every detail right. They even labeled our drinks with my classmates names ! Thank you for your kindness and service :) Oh yea and the drinks were amazing !!!
google avatar

Yelp
Got the elephant vanilla chai here with oat milk. It's very good. The banana bread had a weird bitter taste but the cookies were delicious. They also had sandwiches that looked really good but I didn't get to try those.
google avatar

Gabriela P.

Yelp
I am a big fan of Chai and my mom recommended me to go here! She used to buy their products all the time when I was a kid :) The staff are very kind and fast at service. I ordered Pauli's Drink since it's half sweet and half spice. It was the perfect blend and with oat milk, even better! Definitely will be coming back
google avatar

Tayler F.

Yelp
The best chai spot in the city truly. They also have great breakfast sandwiches and an all around good vibe. The service is great and the baristas have wonderful recommendations. They also sell chai to take home and make your own! Definitely stop here!
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
Came by for "chai" with coworkers and was surprised by the menu. I only realized afterwards that you can add espresso shots to their chai teas so that's what I plan on doing next time! This matcha was like a frapp from Starbucks buuuut so much better because it was more fresh and was not unreasonably sweet. It was refreshing and perfect. Service was also excellent as whatever left over they had that didn't fit in the cup was offered to me in a tasting cup. I noticed their salad and sandwiches look good too. Would be perfect for a quiet lunch. I'll have to come back and report!

Yelp
This Chai Bar is absolutely amazing. If you are a Chai connoisseur and avid-seeker like me you have to check it out! Ambiance (5/5): Inside the chai bar you can find couch tables which are incredibly comfortable and upscale. The atmosphere is like an urban cafe with tons of greenery and patterned decor. It is not too noisy or crowded and can make a great place to get some studying done, as well as catch up with friends. The Chai Flight (4/5): Since there is a plethora of chai to sample and choose from, I decided to get the Chai flight as it comes with four of their most popular flavors (The Tiger Chai, White Shark, Cub Chai and the Boldly Spice). All of the individual Chai flavors were creamy and packed with flavor. Some of my favorite flavors from the flight included the Tiger chai which had a bit of a spicy kick to it and the Cub Chai that had smokey aftertastes. Elephant Vanilla Chai (5/5): My absolute hands down favorite chai from here is the Elephant Vanilla Chai, which is delicious with regular milk as well as with Oat or Macadamia Nut milk. The drink was extremely creamy with the perfect amount of sweetness, and spice. The texture almost tasted like blended ice cream with notes of earl grey, black tea, cardamon, cinnamon, brown sugar, and star anise. Oat and Nut milk definitely add to the creaminess of the drink. I cannot recommend this drink highly enough, and even went on to order a large box of this chai flavor later onwards (available in stores & on Amazon) !! If you are craving chai or are a chai connoisseur like me, Chai Bar by David Rio has an artful and creamy selection of unique chai blends that are a must try!

Ale D.

Yelp
Simply delicious. So many different fun chai drinks here! I love the variety here and that the menu tells you the spice levels in each drink.

Yelp
My commute didn't use to go by Chai Bar but I think there may be a change to my route because of this place! Even while this place is more closed down, there is still a good bit of ambience in this quick chai stop. The checkerboard floor and beautiful coffee bar area make it an instant classic. In keeping with its classic feel, comes wonderful customer service. My barista could tell it was my first time and gave me some great recommendations. Better than that, his recommendation was absolutely perfect for me! It was just what I needed and the drink hit the spot. The breakfast burrito was surprisingly delicious as well. Chai Bar excels, impresses, and inspires customer loyalty in this East Bay helper. The next time you're walking on Market, stop by and order from friendly staff from a great menu.

Steven C.

Yelp
I checked the store hours on the company website before going. It said they were open until 2pm on Saturdays. I stopped by to find that they were already closed at 1pm on July 29th. It was a bummer since I'd wanted to try their chai. Definitely a pet peeve when stores aren't open when they say they will be. I'd advise calling to confirm they are open before wasting your time.
google avatar

Jacqueline J.

Yelp
Most amazing chai latte, very good and when the barista noticed us sit at a table he offered to put out drinks in regular cups which was so nice! Overall nice atmosphere and great drinks!

Emma N.

Yelp
Been on the hunt for a good chai and heard about this place, but I wasn't prepared for how lovely the experience was too! I got Pauli's Choice. Great balance of sweetness and spice from the ginger and cardamom. Love it, and wish they had other locations in the city.

Nicholas L.

Yelp
Drinks are very good but the hours suck. They're like never open when you want them to and sometimes close early.

Yelp
Masala chai is legit. The other blends are fine, but the masala chai is the best in SF
google avatar

Shirley H.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. I ordered the iced tiger chai with espresso and it honestly just tasted like sweet chai flavored milk. I was expecting a strong chai flavor with a hint of espresso, but all I could taste was sugar and milk. The drink was also on the pricier end (about $5-6) - I don't mind paying for a quality drink that tastes good, but the chai here wasn't my cup of tea at all.
google avatar

Lawrence C.

Yelp
I decided to come here since my girlfriend is very enthusiastic about Chai, and so we're always on the lookout for good spots! Fortunately, the Chai Bar here has some good quality drinks that aren't super pricey and that you can actually buy to bring back home! The interior of the place was clean and modern, and although there were quite a few people there it wasn't entirely packed. The baristas were pretty nice and the wait didn't take too long. For the drinks, if you want to sample different ones I would recommend getting the Chai Flight since it serves four flavors. The one that I got had Tiger Chai, White Shark, Cub Chai, and Boldly Spice. All of the chai drinks were very creamy, and had varied flavors to them which I enjoyed! The presentation of the drinks was also nice, since they give it on a wooden platter and label the ones you can try. The Elephant Vanilla Chai is also a super tasty drink they have there, although I'm not sure they offer it as part of a flight. Overall, it's a good place to go to if you're into Chai and want good quality tea! They also let you buy containers of different Chai flavors if you want to bring it back home and make them yourself.

Yelp
After checking this place out, I took a peek on Amazon as I wanted to start making chai drinks at home quickly finding out that chai mixes from this place are Amazon best sellers lol. #todayIlearned Amazon best sellers for good reason. The chai here is pretty good. Tried the tiger spice chai (contains ground cinnamon, cardamom, clove) and the elephant vanilla chai (contains madagascar vanilla, honey). I usually order chai lattes at coffee shops and the chai drinks here have remarkable complexity compared to other chai drinks I've had. My favorite one was the elephant vanilla chai; not as sweet as it may sound, and the additional flavorings complement the chai very well. Kinda want to try out the other things on their chai menu as the other drinks sound intriguing. I docked a star because the drinks that I had here were a bit watered down.....but eh it's in SF after all.....something tells me that if they were to add more chai to their drinks, the drinks would be running up to 6 bucks a cup. Trendy cafe vibes. Macbooksville (my Windows laptop would definitely stand out like a sore thumb). Definitely drop by if you're a chai fan. Super convenient for BART riders as the Market St & 6th St stop is right there.

Yelp
This shop is in a sketchy area. However, I won't judge the shop too harshly because just about all of SF is a sketchy area now. However, the service was very good with accommodating and friendly staff. Focusing on the chai, which is what this shop specializes in, I'm sad to say the tiger chai and traditional spicy masala chai were not good. I had the traditional spicy chai with oat milk, and it was the watery-est chai I've ever had. I did not finish it. My spouse had the tiger chai with whole milk and it was VERY sweet and reminded us of Starbucks Chai, not a speciality nuanced chai that we thought the shop would offere because they offer so many different kinds of chai. He did not finish his. We were really hoping to like this shop and read up on reviews, but maybe it could have been an off day? Either way, I wouldn't expect authentic southern Asian style chai or middle eastern style chai at this shop. I also think they make their drinks with a powder mix? I could be wrong but it just felt a bit gimmicky and not very fresh.
google avatar

Jane D.

Yelp
Spacious cafe, perfect for study days. I wish it were open later hours (closes at 6pm), but I can't ask for everything. I tried the tiger chai, their specialty. I've had a lot of chai lattes and tbh this one didn't stand out to me that much. Nonetheless, it was still delicious and at a standard sf price. Probably wouldn't come out of my way for their drinks, but it is a nice place to study at. Worth trying out

Yelp
I don't get it... I'm not hatin' but I don't get how Chai Bar is so highly rated, I don't. Kudos for being an oasis off 6th street because if you're familiar with the area, you know how cray it can get. Walking into Chai Bar felt like I was walking into a yipster café on Valencia or Chestnut street - it's bright, hip, and spacious with plenty of seating for laptop camping. There's also dog-friendly seating outside. My gripe is the flavor and quality of the chai teas...I don't mind paying $5-$6+ for a cup but I have an issue when it doesn't even taste like chai tea. I ordered the Decaf Tiger Spice Chai ($5.50) & my co-worker ordered the Decaf Sugar-Free Flamingo Vanilla Chai w/ macadamia milk ($6.50): https://bit.ly/2QCsuTH. All the chai teas are made from powder mixes (!!!) so there's no sweetness adjustments. What we received were two sickly sweet cups of iced milk (no tea flavor). The sugar-free chai is sweetened with sucralose and is still hella sweet. We ended up tossing our drinks when we returned to the office. I felt like a millennial sucker for paying $13.80 (w/ tip) for two cups of chai tea made from powder especially when I could get legit chai tea for free at any Indian restaurant in the area.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
One of my favorites. They are very over priced unfortunately, so this is more of a splurge/treat yourself kind of place. I still love all of the drinks, and the pastries are good as well.

Yelp
Super delicious, fun flavors! My favorite is the Great White Shark chai. Servers are friendly and it's a cool industrial atmosphere
google avatar

Claire Y.

Yelp
Ordered the tiger chai with oatly (+$1) and it came out to be around $7+. Worth it though, the chai was delicious. The tiger one has a vanilla flavor and isn't too sweet. They offer a plethora of chai options and even boba that you can pay extra for! You can also customize your drink and choose 2 different chai blends The cashier was really welcoming, nice and answered my questions. The interior has enough space to study but probably gets crowded since it's on Market St. The store is a little subtle because the sign is small and dark colored, but it's right next to the Supreme store and zen desk! 10/10 recommend this place.
google avatar

Bailey J.

Yelp
Francisco is such a nice, kind person! Very helpful and enjoyable to be around, making the space super welcoming. I order a white shark/elephant chai with espresso and am never disappointed! I will continue to support this business because not only is it delicious, but the staff is great :)

Yelp
I was wandering around by my hotel in SF and had some time to kill before meeting up with a friend. I passed Chai Bar earlier and decided to stop in to see what they're all about. You may have guessed, but they're all about chai! I really like chai but haven't had much experience with different types of this spiced beverage. The menu is large and easy to read with indicators that show how sweet vs. spicy each type of chai is. They also have fun add-ons like espresso, chocolate flavors, and boba! I asked the girl at the counter for some suggestions and she helped me pick the Elephant vanilla chai with boba. They also have beer, wine, coffee drinks, other teas, and food items. My chai was sweet but not too sweet, with a tasty vanilla flavor and chewy boba pearls. I got it iced of course, but you can get them hot too. The interior of Chai Bar is cozy with a long curvy banquette bench and lots of seating, including outdoor seating in front. I sat at the front window and did some people watching while enjoying my tea - definitely a nice way to spend a leisurely weekend morning!
google avatar

Anica L.

Yelp
This place is cute. I've come twice recently when I had time to spend in the area. They have a huge variety of chai varieties, well as oat, soy, hazelnut, macadamia, almond, and various cow's milk options. All the flavors of chai I've tried have been good. They have some reasonably priced food items (haven't tried any). The aesthetic is very pleasant and hip and the staff has been quite friendly on all my visits so far!
google avatar

Claire W.

Yelp
As soon as you step into Chai Bar, you are quickly engulfed with the warm, intoxicating smell of chai. The chic ambiance is perfect for a quick catch-up with friends, study / work session, or casual date. I can't stop thinking about the Match Tea Frost Frappé with HAZELNUT milk that I ordered. It probably only took me a minute to gulp down the whole thing - shameful. Should I go out of my way to Chai Bar just to get it again? Probably. They only had grab and go cold food available (kitchen closed) on the Saturday when I went though. So if you're looking for a snack or lunch, I'd recommend the Flying Falafel down the street.

Yelp
Really wanted to love this place! Always looking for new and local breakfast places in SF. We went there before pride and it was pretty empty. We ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich with bacon. The cashier, seemed new, attempted to overcharge us by saying if we wanted bacon it was an extra $3. I asked what came on it and he said just egg and cheese. For $9? Lol. The manager came over and "coached" the guy that it did come with bacon and changed the order. Ordered a coke and a coffee. Getting the receipt I see I was charged $3 for a glass bottle of Mexican coke but I had a regular 12oz can of coke. Then the coffee, charged me for a large and gave me a small??? WTH? I told him we were eating it there and splitting it. Food came out in a bag for take out, everyone else had glass plates who was eating there. Didn't cut the sandwich in half. Then when I bit into it and the eggs were still frozen in the middle! So a microwaved sandwich??? Was totally gross. The staff seemed so disorganized and unhelpful, we just ate around the edges where it was warm and threw the rest away instead of complaining. Spent 18 bucks for a uncooked croissant sandwich, small coffee and can of coke. I assume they will be gone soon, no room for poor places to eat in SF. They get 2 stars cuz their location. But beware of the cashier, they ripped us off on each thing we ordered.... SMH

Yelp
I'm a huge chai fan!! So you can imagine that I was super excited to try this chai bar. Along with my excitement, I was hoping to have the best chai ever! Especially since I'm no chai expert and wouldn't consider my tastebuds to be extremely refined. However, I found the chai here to be just OKAY. I ordered the tiger spice chai. It was good, but I want WOW'ed. BF wasn't a fan at all (but he's also not a huge chai person so don't expect to convert anyone here). And prices are on the higher end for a cup. Atmosphere is chill. It wasn't too busy when we came.

Yelp
Calling all chai lovers! This spot was made for us. I got a tiger spice chai latte with an espresso shot. The flavor was good and over all I loved the validity they offer. As a chai tea lover I think it's awesome that they serve flights because sometimes it's too hard to choose one. They have WiFi and it's great working space with enough seating and outlets. Parking may be an issue but it's definitely a spot worth checking out.

Christina G.

Yelp
Love this place. I now make all my downtown meetings here. But I could do without the "tip option" when paying especially when one of those options is 30%. My friend and I both balked at that number.

Pamela S.

Yelp
Chai bar has amazing variety if you want to explore various types of chai. I personally drink Tiger. The two men that have regularly helped me are knowledgeable about the options. They are also so very welcoming and just simply nice! So often people have forgotten good customer service since Covid began. Those at the Chai Bar have not. It makes the journey there worth it. Lovely people and fantastic product. I have been drinking chai for twenty years and none is equal or better than what they offer. It is the best I have had in any local or out of town places I have visited. In addition, bathroom is clean! The seating that is available even with the removal of interior tables offers outdoor seating and some inside counter window seating. You won't regret visiting the Chai Bar.

Yelp
Coincidence~I am listening to Rio right now as I type this review lol. We used the Ritual app for their $1 promotion to order this turmeric chai drink! And wow this was the best chai I have ever had! The warmth of the turmeric spice went well with the chai. They have oat milk, and oat milk is the new almond milk-it's thicker and creamier. Proceeds from specific drinks go towards wildlife conservation! Very spacious-looks like the perfect study spot!

Yelp
I wanted to go to a coffee shop where there was plentiful of seating and wifi. I mean, really, every coffee shop in San Francisco had wifi, but I decided to try something new. I looked around and found this place. I ordered a Chai cortado, 8 oz. It was pretty good, but the prices were a little out there. But, knowing that it's San Francisco, nothing really comes cheap. The drink came and it was nice, there's nothing bad to say about what they serve here. It's quite simple. The difference between this place and others is that the inside is super spacious. I mean, there's chairs, lounges, they even have a bar. If you wanted space to relax or study, this would be a top contender for me if I was living nearby. The staff was really relaxed and it seemed like the whole atmosphere was based around that. If you need a place to study, check this place out.

Yelp
A friend recommended this cafe to me and as a result, I'm now on an indefinite chai kick. I ordered a dirty Tiger Spiced Chai made with almond milk (yay, lack toes in toddler ants) and it was delicious!! It was the first chai I've ever ordered and continues to be the best chai I've ever had. Compared to chais at other cafes, the drinks here have a lot of complexity flavor-wise and are super smooth. The Tiger Spiced Chai was perfectly spiced, not too overwhelming, and mildly sweet. I came in around 11am on a Saturday morning and there was no wait. Most of the tables were available and I got a good amount of work done. Lots of outlets and lots of space! Pros: - Lots of outlets, tables, and chairs - Good for working - Very wide drink menu and good for those that don't even like chai - The best chai I've ever had Cons: - Can be a bit pricey

Yelp
the service was fast and i ordered an iced tiger spice chai. it was described as spicy/sweet but i could only taste sweet. like banana milk and it threw me super off. im not sure if i received the wrong drink because of how off it tasted. like if i could go back and order again i would def order something else.

Yelp
It was another chilly day in SF so my parents and I decided to drop in to grab some warm drinks. I loved how there were so many different types of chai lattes available and descriptions about the difference for each one. I will definitely be coming again to try more of the options available. Food: - Tiger Spice Chai--$4.50 The signature chai and a customer favorite, it became my favorite too. This chai latte had the perfect balance between sweet and spicy and was milky, frothy, and creamy from the milk. - Power Chai--$4.50 This chai latte was also delicious, with some added earthy flavors from the matcha and black tea, as well as a hint of spice. Tips: - Take a look at the big menus on the board to figure out which chai latte is the one for you. There are explanations about which ones are sweeter and which ones are spicier. - Vegan options are available!

Yelp
First of all, I don't even like Chai. I happened to be in the area and needed to burn some time before a meeting so I dropped in to get something warm to drink. Though I've never really been a fan of Chai, I really liked the design of the place and it smelled so, SO good. Their menu was diverse and I was in the mood for something new, so I got a PB & Chai with Hazelnut milk (which is basically their Elephant Vanilla Chai with Reese's melted at the bottom). Absolutely fantastic. Francisco, my barista, was super friendly as well. He realized that someone else took my drink by mistake and voluntarily made me a new one even though there was a line. Safe to say that I'll be coming back in again very soon.
