David Rubenstein Forum at the University of Chicago

A UChicago employee and I were asked to assist an elderly emeritus faculty member who was attending an appreciation banquet held for him, as apparently Uchicago can afford lavish spectacles but wont bother to provide material support and accessible settings for its elderly faculty. But we, also University employees with IDs, were turned away by the very condescending guards/receptionists and treated as though we had no right whatsoever to even enter the lobby. This place is obviously just a fancy spot to host rich donors and does not serve students or faculty. Potential donors should realize that their money will be spent not on education but on more unnecessary projects like this which do not serve the project of education but only to bring in more and more money for what has become little more than a pyramid scheme benefitting highly paid administrators and exploiting students and teachers alike.

Beautiful space for events, meetings, convening, and more at the University of Chicago! Quite amazing views coupled with gorgeous architecture and interior design make this really an impressive addition to the UChicago campus!

Cool building design. Bathroom entry privacy could have been designed better. Some rooms kind of small yet overall very good venue & auditorium is a nice size.

The room for a conference I went to is nice and big. The place is nicely set up and the people maintaining the area a discrete which cleaning the area around us. The artwork around is very beautiful to look at. Didn't get a chance to see more but from what I saw it was very interesting.

Wedding ceremony at the Penthouse in Hyde Park. Fabulous!!

Beautiful, state of the art new building. Where you can host anything from a small celebration to a big meeting/convention. They will accommodate just about anything. Then there's bar David, located on the first floor of the building, where you can eat exquisite chef prepared food and drink from their extensive drinks menu. All in all , a good place to host your gathering.

This is a beautiful building. I attended an event on an upper floor with an amazing view. Great facilities, very welcoming staff.

Amazing building. Really adds to the campus. The restaurant is elegant, but unremarkable. One of the fanciest public bathroom I’ve seen.
