listen, i don’t usually take the time to write reviews. if you’re reading this and contemplating a visit, just do it. i doubt a more welcoming and down to earth spot exists. if you’re looking to meet some good people in new york, i guarantee you’ll walk out at least two friends richer. fatefully stumbled upon david’s as i was heading to the subway station. pretty unassuming, yet inviting from the outside. sitting at the bar alone has always been a bit daunting for me, but today i felt like i belonged as soon as i walked in. the bartender, daniel, immediately asked me what i like and whipped up a custom mango-peach-tequila concoction for me. it was smooth! they had good old school hip hop playing on a tuesday evening. i chatted with some fellows at the bar for a while and it was real nice. i even got to try my first pickle back! a regular, mike, put me on to coppelia’s as well—if you’re on the market for a good 24 hr diner. anyway, long story short, do yourself a favor and stop by. no pretense, good prices, great company.

Overall rating: 4.9 This place is underrated. Love the low key, chill energy in LES. No frills, which is my middle name. The drinks are STRONG, in the best possible way. I didn’t experience any karaoke, but I think I was there too early in the night. Went around 8 on a Saturday. Definitely want to go again if I’m looking for a nightcap or just a chill place in the area.

This bar definitely deserves its high rating. The prices are cheap, the vibe is immaculate, and all the bartenders are cool as hell. The crowds that hangs there is fun. Overall, I will come here again and again.

Found this absolute gem of a place when looking for an authentic dive bar in NYC. What can I say, this place has it all. Jamie and Reggie are possibly the most chill bartenders in NYC with an amazing eye for making people feel welcome. The bar has plenty of regulars who swing by many times a week. The customers are mostly between the age of 21–35, which definitely makes David's a good spot to make new friends. It doesn't really matter if you're looking for a cool place to hang out with a friend or traveling by yourself. Just sit at the bar, you'll be having a conversation in no time. The domestic beers are 5$, so a steal in that regard too. Will sure visit again when I make it back to NYC from Finland.

David’s Bar is a great spot if you’re looking for good cocktails and a laid-back atmosphere. The vibe is always chill, and the drinks are consistently on point. Danny makes the experience even better with his friendly energy.

This place was awesome Bartender made a bunch of lychee drinks It was fire Super cool dude with a lot of knowledge about different drinks. Was a really good time and I'd recommend anyone visiting New York to visit this bar, you'll be happy you did

Chill dive bar with good service! Good spot to pop in for drinks before or after a meal in Chinatown. As of 11/16/22 they don't serve beer on tab, but they have a cocktail menu and the bartender was more than happy to make any drink by request.

Agree with Jonathan R, so awesome I want it all to myself! A good bar for everyone else is EPR (formerly known as RPM). Go there so you can pay double the price get terrible service and catch COVID.

This hole in the wall bar is an absolute gem! Great place to pop in after work and have a drink and chat with the owner, Dave or one of the down-to-earth bartenders! Open mic comedy on Thursdays and Karaoke whenever you're feelin saucy. Awesome little neighborhood spot.

Great spot! Good drinks, great bartender, highly recommend! We sat randomly while waiting for a restaurant and we made friends with the bartended and had a fun time.

Place is a BYOF bar. Drinks are awesome. Bar tender is an awesome guy with awesome bar expertise.
