David’s Cafe Review - East Village - New York - The Infatuation

"David’s serves mostly-French food in a casual one-room space in the East Village. They have things like steak and tartare and mussels with fries, but you should come here for one of the best burgers in the neighborhood - the two thin, charred patties are covered in American cheese between a toasted sesame seed bun. Ask for extra special sauce on the side, and use it as a dip for the mountain of fries that comes with the burger. photo credit: Nate Parson" - Matt Tervooren

Very welcoming and small town restaurant. The locals that were there welcomed us in. Food was great.

The best cheeseburger! Homemade buns and perfect crinkle cut fries with a slice of watermellon. David is a wonderful cook! A must stop if you are even close to Earlsboro, Oklahoma ❤️ I can't wait to come back for breakfast!

Our new favorite breakfast place. Hubs said good coffee, and that's important!! Had an excellent breakfast and going back very soon to try lunch, too. Especially since he makes everything himself...homemade hamburger bun with that burger...yes please. Very friendly and great American decor. If you’re offended by guns and veterans and Pesident Trump then you might want to skip this place but you’ll be missing out on some awesome meals.

Great little cafe! The coffee tasted like coffee and the bacon was exceptional. Everything was delicious. Friendly owner and just a great little mom and pop style place in the middle of nowhere! If you happen to be in the area, don’t miss this fabulous little stop for food!

You walk in and you’re greeted by EVERYONE in the cafe. It’s an unbelievable experience. One of those small town cafes that have amazing food, great conversation, and absolutely wonderful people. The food was delicious and had great portions. Everything about this place just made me smile and I’m so happy we found this gem.

Decided to stop in here for a burger after reading some of the great reviews. Decided to get the green chili onion bacon burger and the onion rings and totally intended on taking a picture but man oh man not only did they look delicious when they came out they were too delicious to stop and take a photo of them lol!! The onion rings were hand battered to order and he makes his own onion buns in house! Highly recommend checking out this diamond of a gem in the small town of Earlsboro!

Yelp
Always heard about this place never been, on a wild ass hair decided to check it out. Ambiance is awesome USA military decor very clean hometown look. Service is what you would expect from a hole in the wall good conversation and excellent service. Food was awesome came out very quick, one of the few places that knows how to cook over medium eggs the right way lol. Table next to us got a hamburger that looked amazing, so we will be back soon to try out the hamburgers. Don't overlook this place give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
My wife and I were staying in Shawnee for weekend casino trip. We looked up breakfast places and found David's cafe. We decided to try it out. It is very quaint and only holds about 6-7 tables. My wife and I met the town regulars. Very nice individuals. My wife ordered eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. I ordered eggs, sausage, hash browns, and a pancake. Food and coffee were great and affordable. Dave does it all himself with a smile on his face. I would recommend this place.

Yelp
We were enjoying a ride in the country and drove through Earlsboro. We stopped in at David's Cafe to eat lunch. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak dinners and fried pies for dessert. The steaks are fresh made and tender. The food was very good. The pies were filled full of fruit with light and flaky crusts. You got to have one. If you are in the area, check out David's Cafe. Yelp
I live in Shawnee and my parents were in town, so we finally decided to take the 15 minute drive to David's for a late breakfast/early lunch. It's the perfect small town cafe! My mom loved her burger! I tried it, and it was delicious. Apparently, David gets up early enough to make his own hamburger buns (I mean, how many places do that)! I decided to have breakfast, just the standard 2 eggs, bacon and potatoes. It was all wonderful, especially the potatoes (the blueberry pancake I got on the side was fantastic as well). My dad didn't say much about the catfish, but he's been having health issues and I think that's why because I tried it and it was pretty darn good. I highly recommend! I definitely will go back, especially since I didn't get a fried pie as we were in a hurry.

Yelp
Had the best patty melt ever. Don't get the crazy idea that this place is fancy, but the owner-cook-server is accommodating and he certainly brews up delish tea - fresh and plenty of it. We were too full for a fried pie but that's on my "next time" list. I can't wait to go back for Friday night all you can eat catfish.

Yelp
Delicious!!! The breakfast skillet was amazing! It's a layered skillet with crispy hash browns, fluffy biscuits, sausage patties, cream gravy with eggs of your choice to top.... we split it and added a pancake. The pancake was so good - a good old fashioned pancake... yummy!! David is very a accommodating and a good cook!! The coffee and tea were both good and fresh and the bathroom was immaculate. We'll go back as soon as we can!!! Thanks for a wonderful meal!!!

Yelp
This place is great! Down to Earth and satisfyingly patriotic. A true family owned Ma and Pa establishment. Lots of family pictures hang on the walls. You will feel at home here with how they treat their guests. Great service and amazing food!

Yelp
This was my first time having a fried pie and it was delicious. Fresh out of the kitchen. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
A little hole in the wall in an out of the way location but, oh my, the breakfast was wonderful. The biscuits were huge, the eggs cooked just like we ordered and the gravy was homemade and well seasoned. Would go out of my way to eat there again. The guy is also a real patriotic :-).

Yelp
This place is a total dive. However the food was surprisingly good. I had the breakfast burrito with bacon and my husband had the big breakfast. The place itself is pretty dirty, with rustic decorations. The price of the food for breakfast was also a little higher than we would have expected.
