I just wish it was bigger! This sweet little Farmer’s Market in the charming town of Davidson is a must. The line for the flowers is long. Lots of nice vendors. Family owned and operated, too! There’s even a knife & tool sharpener, Larry of Carolina Edge is awesome. I met the folks that run La Cremerie & they have interesting vegan dips to try. I helped sell a few to my neighbors. Come see for yourself why this market is so popular. While you’re in town, walk Main Street, check out the local stores, & the lovely Davidson college campus. Highly recommend bringing a cold cooler for your perishables. Come prepared to spend several hours. An edit of my review. PS I usually don’t write negative remarks on here but I wish the woman who runs the market could have been nicer. I met her last weekend & she was downright rude to me. I hope she reads this and knows that kindness matters, not just when she is speaking with a potential customer “hustling her side-business.” I couldn’t believe it when she turned her back on me as I was talking to her. My husband watched the whole thing play out, and he was disgusted by her actions. I hope she reads this & adjusts her attitude especially since I just hit 177 million views on Google and my review has driven traffic to this Farmer’s Market. My shares on our local Davidson community Facebook page also drive traffic to her market. Be kind, lady. You know who you are! Josephine Local Guide

Google
Nice market that is close to us. Fresh produce, fruits, flowers, soaps, meats, knife sharpening, music, pastries, sprouts etc. Thank you to all the farmers, vendors and Davidson Market staff. The market is behind a couple of coffee places, food and shops. Nice college town vibe.

I really enjoy purchasing farm fresh goods. Not a very diverse area, some of the vendors were very friendly, others I did not patronize because they were not friendly. I hope it will become more diverse and invite more vendors of diverse backgrounds. I've enjoyed every item I've purchased this week and last. I got some great lettuce, greens, goat cheeses, eggs, country sausage, steak, truffle oil, lip balm, pastries, salsa, sweet potatoes, kielbasa, turkey wings, strawberries, etc.

Google
One of the best farmers markets I’ve been to for vibe and setting. Quintessential Davidson. Upscale and inclusive. A winner!

Google
There are some very good local vendors - meat and produce and specialty. I especially like the specialty vendors of items that are hard to find like bakery. The mushroom vendor has a great selection of specialty mushrooms that are hard to find. Down-side it the compact area and number of produce vendors. Upside is located on mainstreet Davidson

I bought amazing flowers here and purchased the most delicious peaches I've ever tasted and made peach muffins out of them.

Yelp
What a cool farmers market with lots to see and buy. This was very crowded and parking is at a minimum but don't despair you can park and walk. Some of the vendors take cash only but many took credit cards. I really liked the honey booth with the bees on the table. There were a few booths selling flowers and they were some of the prettiest flowers I've ever seen sold in a space like this. They had music, fun park area for kids to play and there's food to buy. This is located in a cute downtown area off Main Street.

Yelp
This one is fun for walking around to get caught up in the energy of people and vendors. Also, not to mention the area is just so quaint and inviting. Being across from Davidson College, it's cool to see where Steph Curry did his thing to become who he is today in such a small school and town while he was attending school there. Come early and grab some flowers. The amount of flowers everyone was caring is why you enjoy the summer/fall time here. Stop by the Mandolino's for a quick meal while you're here! Their watermelow feta salad and caprese salad were amazing!

Yelp
I've been to quite a few farmers markets in the Charlotte area and this is one of the top two in my opinion. The other one I love is the Matthews Farmers Market. We've only come here once because it's pretty far away from where we live. We came to refill our Updog Kombucha growlers, but we picked up some fruit while we were there too. There a large variety of vendors both with fresh produce and pre-made goods. If you're in the area on a Saturday morning, check it out!

Yelp
Great selection of produce, meat, baked goods, and other home grown and handmade products.

Yelp
I like the Davidson Farmers market for buying locally sourced fresh food. They have some great vendors but some can be on the pricey side. I still prefer Josh's Farmers Market in Mooresville over this one. The Blue Barn Bistro is a must though for their awesome breakfast dishes especially the potato hash!

Yelp
What a fun environment in downtown Davidson! Nestled in between Davidson college, a library and some cute shops, the farmers market is all set up with live music on Saturdays. This farmers market is pretty small, but still have several great options that you would find at a larger venue. There is a soap stand, coffee stand, popcorn stand, bread and baked good stand, wild flower stand, multiple vegetable stands and a kombucha stand. I did try the kombucha which was pretty tasty, but a little watered down for my typical taste. I also purchased some beautiful wild flowers. Dogs are not allowed around the farmers market just FYI.

Yelp
What is better than getting some fresh donuts and coffee while looking at the healthy options? The farmers market had wonderful local vendors; many places had samples. You really get that great small-town vibe from the market. Everyone is polite, everyone is having fun, and everyone knows one another. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Can't beat a farmer's market you can walk to. That gets 5 stars off bat. Fall in love with the small town feel of Davidson and then the vendors this market brings. You can get fresh flowers, veggies, meat, donuts, honey, bread & cheese. Seriously, just about anything you would need for the week. We love getting breakfast at the Bleu Barn Bistro food truck (grit bowl with bacon is my fave) or juice from Clean Juice truck. Summit Coffee has their pop-up stand with pour-overs and espresso drinks outside. There is often live music and sometimes a chef food demonstration. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Yelp
My favorite local Farmers Market. Everything sold here must be grown by the vendor. My only wish is that there were more organics offered.

Yelp
We've been going to the Davidson Farmer's Market pretty much every Saturday for a few months now. For some reason I never thought to look and see if it was on Yelp, but I decided to look today and sure enough there was a listing. If you're in the Lake Norman area and like the idea of getting farm-fresh produce then this is the place to be. The Farmer's Market is open every Saturday from 8-12 during the Spring and Summer and is located right next to the Town Hall. You can't miss it...just follow the multitude of traffic! I have two complaints about the Farmer's Market, and the number of people who go is one of them. Finding parking is always an adventure, and there is a ton of traffic on Main St. that will just slow everything down to a crawl. Once you manage to find a place to leave your car (there are several parking lots to choose from) you can walk over to the stands and begin to immerse yourself in fresh produce. There are plenty of different stands to choose from, and most have their own specialties. The majority of them focus on fresh veggies, and everyone's prices are pretty much the same, so you don't have this need to "shop around." However, there are one or two stands that charge $1 more a pound for their produce, so watch out for them. There are also a couple of fresh meat vendors, but their prices are a bit too high for my taste. The price of the meat is my second complaint. The veggies and fruit costs a bit more than it would if you went to Harris Teeter or Lowes Foods, but the "supporting your local organic farmer" is worth the little extra. Unfortunately, the meat is priced significantly higher than you would find it in the stores. If we had more disposable income we would definitely go here weekly for our meat purchases, but as of right now the prices are a bit too high, despite the better quality. There are also other stands that offer more than meat and produce. There are at least two stands selling fresh baked bread that looks really good. One farmer sells homemade jams and jellys, and they are delicious. The peach jam is particular was 100% tastetacular. There is also an Amish couple that sell some pretty amazing pasteries/desserts. Definitely stop by their stand and snag a donut or whoopie pie...both are pretty amazing. A couple of other vendors are set up selling crafts, pet items, and more. There's definitely a little something for everyone here. Also, I would like to note that most vendors only take cash, but a few have credit card readers for electronic transactions. If you're looking for fresh food and are willing to spend the extra couple of bucks to support local farmers, then this is the place to be. Bring family, friends, pets or anyone else you want, and they will enjoy checking the place out. Just be prepared for the multitude of other people who are also bringing all their buddies along with them as well.

Yelp
There's a decent produce variety with a few organic and heirloom options. I'm a cheese fanatic but haven't yet found any that I love, so try before you buy. Prices are average overall except for meat, which is pricier than other markets I've frequented in the Ohio River Valley or the Hudson River Valley. This market also feels a little different in that there seems to be more (emotional) distance between buyers and vendors. However, this is THE place to be on Saturday mornings. Lots of happy dogs and children are out and about, and the community is truly at its best.

Yelp
great place. Make sure you come early as things sell out fast. The ice pop guy is amazing and so are the homegrown crepes if you wish to have a bite to eat. Also they have great music and good demos. Mae sure to get on their FB page for updates

Yelp
Amazing! So many great nice local people! Not only can you grab beautiful fresh flowers, but you can pick up fresh veggies, you can even taste some local wines! Don't forget to stop at Summit Coffee for the best coffee in town as well!

Yelp
I love this market! They have a great local variety in the summer. It is kid and dog friendly. And they even have a food truck Saturday mornings serving up breakfast and lunch. A great Saturday morning stroll.

Yelp
Fun activity to do on a Saturday morning. Went with a friend and got some nice items - pimento cheese, chicken sausage, spinach, strawberries...etc. the quiche from Beverlys Gourmet was very good. I'm looking for a larger farmers market, however, with more vendors. Gonna try some others.

Susan L.

Yelp
Not dog friendly. Dogs are prohibited. 4 stars is generous for today's experience. Went at 10:30 and many stands had sold out. I think I expected it to be a little larger, with more stands offering fresh fruit and vegetables.

Yelp
I love going to the farmers market on Saturdays. Usually there is live music, summit coffee has outside service, love the $10 flower bouquets that are always well worth it, food truck and yummy restaurants for brunch after shopping at the Farmer's market. Yes I go buy food to then go to a restaurant

Jamey M.

Yelp
We live in mooresville and always enjoy our visits to the Davidson farmers market. Especially live the vegetarian gourmet stand. Not sure of the name but the have a variety of pastas and soups. I have never tried any I didn't like. We usually have lunch at the food truck. It is fresh and delicious. I recently bought almond butter from a vendor and I will go back for more. The flower and vegetable stands are a must. Stop by. You won't regret it.

Yelp
For such a small town, and considering it is the cold season, many vendors had lovely offerings. There were not many stalls but I have never seen such beautiful turmeric and ginger root.
