We had a great experience at Da Vinci’s. I have been coming here since I was a child and this was my first visit since moving back to the area. The atmosphere was wonderful and the piano player really pushed it over the top. Our server was kind and welcoming. We enjoyed the wine/drink selections and the crispy duck is to die for. Unlike other reviews, we appreciated the dress code since Salem has very few establishments where you can dress up a little. We will be back for more soon.

DaVinci is a fantastic place to have dinner. The food is amazing. The ambiance is wonderful and changes depending where you are sat. DaVinci is a top area restaurant and a must dine. We have known the owner Mo for several years and he is extremely picky and detailed when it comes to choosing the freshness of his ingredients. I cannot give you a detailed menu because like many top resaturants, it changes daily depending on the what is fresh and availble. A few items that are somewhat regular on the menu are the Seafood Pappardelle (seafood cream pasta and a personal favorite) and the American Wagyu Beef Hangar steak (pictured below and amazing!).

If you wear a hat for medical reasons, please know that you will be asked to remove it at the door. Then, you will have to either explain your medical condition to a complete stranger while being eyed by other customers or remove your hat in front of everyone. I just want folks to be aware of DaVinci's asinine and insensitive anti-hat policy before they step through the door! My chicken rigatoni tasted EXACTLY like it was drenched in Tabasco. It was gross, and I couldn't even make it though half of it. My husband's "airline chicken" tasted like it was marinated in nothing but a giant stick of butter. I wasn't impressed by the food at all. Our server, a white man with the glazed, apathetic stare of a serial killer and the arrogant dismissiveness of a 16-year old boy, couldn't have cared less about us. He's clearly had enough of this job, which I can understand, but we spent a lot of money to come here and were hoping to at least have basic level table service instead of someone who forgot half our items until reminded, and acted like he was debasing himself by interacting with us. The kindly and talented elder gentleman who plays piano is a gem, and the restaurant itself has a pretty atmosphere. (If you do go to DaVinci's despite my warning, I suggest bringing a cash tip for the piano man's jar, as he is the only one there who really deserves recognition!) However, there are so many places in town where you can get 100x better food at half the price. We spent over $200 for this unfortunate experience. I'd skip this restaurant if I were you!

Davinci Italian Restaurant is a wonderful dining experience! The food was amazing with great flavor and generous portions, and everything came out promptly. The customer service was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was so nice and relaxing—not too bright, with live piano music adding a special touch. I also loved the open seating that wasn’t overcrowded. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!

I went here on a Friday evening and sat at the bar sipping on a cocktail listening to a nice gentlemen playing piano music. The atmosphere is intimate and beautiful. They have done a great job of creating a special place to dine. The hostess and I believe owner were very kind. The bartender was just ok, not super friendly & my cocktail was just ok. Their prices are very expensive for me though. I'm sure worth it for an anniversary date night or special occasion but not when you are on a budget. I don't know if they give complimentary bread to every customer, most Italian restaurants do. I did get a yummy cheesy bread basket but it was almost 1 hour after getting there. I was grateful for it and it was delicious, just odd to get that much later.

Awesome if your taste runs toward the 1950s Frank Sinatra type Italian restaurants with live piano and lights turned down so low, you need a lamp on your table. The food is made with quality ingredients but each dish seems to have one or two too many ingredients. If you want to switch up a gazpacho by adding watermelon, fine I like that okay. Okay. But then to add feta and basil as well to it? Not really gazpacho anymore, is it? This seemed to be the theme throughout the evening. An attempt to make everything seem sophisticated by overcomplicating it. It didn't really work for any of the dishes I had, although all were quite a bit better, than you will find in almost any other restaurant in the food desert that is Salem. I'm guessing this is the place in Salem most likely to host lobbyists taking state senators out for a fancy lunch.

My husband took me to DaVinci’s last night for my birthday dinner, and I didn’t even realize how much I needed that special dinner. The food and wine was amazing. The sommelier suggested a wine for us that wasn’t even on the menu, and it was perfect. The salmon and the Filet meal were lovely too, but the best part of the evening for me was the server. We will be back to spend more time with Frankie. We chatted with her for quite a while, and I felt so cared for by her. We came in strangers and left as friends. It was truly a lovely experience, and we can’t wait to go back again.

Yelp
Food was excellent tasting and the halibut I ordered was prepared well. I also ordered the Blue Grotto, which was a pretty good cocktail drink. Not too sweet like I thought it might be based on the ingredients. Our server didn't seem like she wanted to be there but she was still courteous and timely. The restaurant has a live piano player making it a great place to eat and catch up with friends.

Yelp
Davinci was a very mixed bag for us with some nice dishes, and others that missed the mark. Service was competent, but we felt very rushed. We eat at many many Italian restaurants (my favorite food) all around the country and I was hoping this would have been much better considering the price point and reputation. The dining room is nice, and they have a talented piano player. Receptionist was cool on arrival, no smile or hello but showed us to a comfortable table upstairs. Our server was nice enough, but really wanted to move us through dinner at a pace that would be unacceptable for the caliber of the restaurant. The complimentary bread service was delicious, really a flatbread but so good. We enjoyed it so much we decided to order one of the flatbreads off the menu, to enjoy alongside our dinners. It was equally delicious. Sadly, the pasta dishes were disappointing. Bolognese with a cavatapi pasta just did not work. The bolognese was more like a chilli, not a delicious hearty bolo, and the pasta just could not hold the watery sauce. The seafood pappardelle was equally disappointing. While the sauce was better than the bolognese, the pasta had a raw dough flavor to it, even though it seemed properly cooked al dente. Never have had anything quite like that. When asked about our food, we didn't want to fuss and said everything was OK. Continuing the rushed service, our check was dropped along with our dessert. You would think if you are spending well over $200 for dinner, you would expect to enjoy more than 50 minutes of table time. Not here. Nobody said goodnight or asked how our food was as we left. Perhaps a bad night, but I'm not sure this will be a repeat for us on our next visit to Salem

Yelp
This was our first time to this high end restaurant and we were celebrating our anniversary. We were greeted warmly by Alex the hostess who had seen our note on our reservation that it was our anniversary and she made us feel so welcomed and special! Everything went downhill from there... Our waitress ("S") was anything BUT warm...she took our order perfunctorily and food was delivered in a reasonable timeframe but we had to ask for bread and what came in the basket was thin crisp flatbread that was burned on the edges by the woodfired pizza oven (?). Not the type of bread I would expect at an Italian restaurant. Then our meal of Airplane Chicken and Pan-Seared Halibut arrived. The farro that the halibut was seated on was not hot (room temp). And the fettuccine that the chicken was on was dry and barely warm and the chicken was dry. The halibut was delish though and a proper temp. Our waitress never stopped by our table to check in on us but attended to other tables around us with a pretty unhappy, exhausted demeanor (it was early: 6 pm!). She finally came by when our plates were empty. And even then she didn't inquire about our meal and collected the plates and bread and asked whether we wanted to see a dessert menu. (So much for any implication or assumption that our anniversary was worthy of a complimentary special dessert!) Overall this was a very disappointing experience with sub par food and service that was way out of whack with the ambience and prices. I feel sorry for Salem that this is what is considered a high end dining experience...or maybe it was just a VERY off night...

Yelp
We usually come here, as a treat, over the years. It's used to be excellent, as far as the food goes. As of lately, I'd say for at least last two years, we noticed that the quality and creativity of their dishes have decreased in value (portion vs price demand), ok understandable as with everything else, right? The creativities of the dishes have also changed, but in our opinions, not for the better. We don't mind the price hike, BUT, you got to showcase that in the dishes as well. Those that have dined here for all the 20+ years, can tell the difference that's taken place. We would come few times a year, assuming that the menu of course are seasonal, but the menu descriptions of the each dishes, and what's actually presented are not very impressive majority of the times now. The flavors of the dishes, the quality of the ingredients, the mastery and the execution of the dishes are no up to par like the past years of our dining experiences here. Proofs are in what we tasted, and looking through all the old pics here.. past vs present. Food 2/5.., (used to be 5/5 many years back) Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5

Yelp
The service and atmosphere of Da Vinci are lovely, complete with a pianist on the weekend. It is an ideal place to fussy up an occasion. Sadly, the entire meal was unremarkable from the presentation of the peach salad (slopped in a bowl with hunks of shredded chicken) to the prawns and capellini - although the food quality was good (the prawns were fresh) the recipes and the presentation left a lot to be desired. There were four of us at dinner and we all felt we could get a more inventive menu with better presentation for a lot less money at any number of other locally chef owned restaurants in the Willamette Valley. But in fairness, the rent at Da Vinci's if they don't own the building, is likely very expensive it is gorgeous building.

Yelp
We had a good dinner and then we asked for a dessert to go. The server said we don't do dessert to go. So we then asked we will have the Tiramisu and then can we get a to go box. The server came back and said they put it in a to go box for us. They charged us $15 and when we got home and opened the box it was a small circle of this mush. I called the restaurant to speak to the manager and the guy said they don't have a manager but how could he help. I told him about the dessert and he said that's why they don't do to go. He was extremely rude. I will not be going back and I will tell everyone to go to a different restaurant.

Yelp

Yelp
The food was delicious. The service was ok. Asked for an Arnold Palmer. The waitress didn't know what it was. Explained and she worked with the bartender to deliver one. Took our order and when we had finished our first course and entree she had forgotten to bring the Pasta dish we had initially ordered thinking it would arrive with the entree. Waited for the Kitchen to prepare it after finishing ...ugh. Asked us twice if we wanted to box up our food after saying "No.". Nevertheless, the food was delicious so we just chalked it up to a server still learning.

Yelp
Celebrated our 34th anniversary with a delicious dinner. We had the Burrata Prosciutto appetizer, the pear Gorgonzola salad, Seafood Pappardelle and the Pan Seared Halibut. We would have them all again. The MO Baby cocktail and Spanish coffees are top shelf. Loved the live piano music. Service from beginning to end was perfect. Thanks for helping us celebrate a special occasion with class. Can't wait to be back.

Yelp
It's ok. Food and service ordinary. It's a noisy place. For better food go to Amadeus.

Yelp
When: Saturday May 25th 6:30 pm, Party of 2 Adults Ambiance: As you first walk in, your eyes have to do a quick light adjustment to the dimly lit romantic ambiance of this absolute Italian eatery gem in downtown Salem, right next to the Elsinore Theatre. The decor is classic old school gentlemen's club dark wood decor. On Friday's and Saturday's there is a gentlemen playing the piano which just adds to the aura. Service: The service by our server Linda and the gentlemen bussing the tables were just impeccable. They were very attentive but not overbearing. Linda was an absolute delight with her witty humor blended in with her Romanian roots charm. Food: Wow...just Wow...We started the evening off with a plate of Gorgonzola Stuffed Dates as an appetizer. This was very delicious and exceeded my expectations. For our main entrees, I ordered the Steak Frittes and my wife ordered the Chicken Schnitzel. Both dishes were classic favorites done well. To top it off, I had to have the Creme Brulee and our server Linda recommended this Lemon Panna Cotta for my wife...Heavenly...(Sorry, No pics of the food or dessert, because I did not want to ruin the romantic ambiance and get piercing stares from other patrons).

Yelp
DO NOT GO! They are a blatant RIP OFF! Made reservations for Saturday 5/10/2025. The dinner tab came to $200 plus I added $40 (20% tip) = $240. I discovered on my bank statement that DaVinci's charged me $300; a $60 OVER CHARGE. On calling them the "person" refused to turn me over to the manager and/or the owner. Instead he said that I had to return to DaVincis to prove that it was their error and hung up. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. They are a blatant RIP OFF! And now it's time for me get an arbiter or lawyer involved.

Yelp
Dined on 08/19/2025. My girlfriend and I decided to go here for date night. The ambience is nice, especially with the beautiful music from the piano player, however, we were seated upstairs, nowhere near the music (even though there were tables available downstairs close to the music - I suspect that it's because their primary clientele this evening appeared to be the wealthy Caucasian crowd and we are an interracial couple - sadly, we are used to this). We ordered a couple of cocktails. Both were decent, but nothing to rave about. I ordered the duck and my girlfriend ordered the American wagyu steak. The steak was cooked well but lacked seasoning. The duck was crispy but dried out and way overcooked. We also order a bottle of wine. This was the highlight of the meal. Their wine section is excellent. We ordered dessert. I had the tiramisu, which had no resemblance to an actual tiramisu (no lady fingers, it was basically a bowl of mascarpone with a moat of whipped cream and chocolate shavings - I took one bite and could not have any more - it was revolting). My girlfriend had the flourless chocolate cake. I've had this dessert at other restaurants and loved it. Here, it was the tiniest of portions and dressed up with some blackberries and whipped cream, lacking in beauty, taste, portion, and sophistication. The wine was the only thing we enjoyed from this dining experience other than each other's company. The service was sub par except for the sommelier, who was knowledgeable and courteous. For a $270 meal with a $55 tip, equaling a total of $325, I felt like I could have had a better tiramisu from the grocery store, purchased duck breast, cooked it myself, without drying it out, prepared the entire meal myself and saved myself $200+. I do not recommend this place. We were quite disappointed. I know that if we had mentioned anything that displeased us, there would be nothing they could do and we would just be looked at as the unhappy interracial couple complaining in a predominately Caucasian clientele restaurant trying to skip out on paying their bill. So, I paid the bill, gave a 20% tip, and learned our lesson. Do yourself a favor and dine somewhere else.

Yelp
While visiting from out of town we asked our friend about this restaurant and she said that it is so good it shouldn't be in Salem. After visiting I wholeheartedly agree. This place is incredible. I still dream about the amazing dishes that we sampled while there. Sure it is high end but the food is high end and worth every penny. We enjoyed several courses and a couple of bottles of wine while listening to a wonderful pianist. The service was top notch and the ambiance was unmatched. It was the perfect evening. Every dish was perfection! My favorites were the Burrata, Caesar Wedge, Papparadelle, and the Croissant Bread Pudding! Least favorite was the Cioppino..it was just okay comparatively.

Audrey T. B.

Yelp
Excellent! The food, service and ambiance was all exceptional! The piano player (wow), and server were top notch. I had fresh halibut and I've never tasted better. Bolognese and lamb chops were great. I hadn't been here for a while and now I can't wait to come back. We really enjoyed our evening! Thank you!

Yelp

Yelp
Came for a customer dinner. Everything about this place was amazing. Service at the bar was beyond!!! What a gem in the heart of Salem!

Yelp
The last time I was at DaVinci was about 30 years ago and it's still as wonderful! We started with the Caprisa Salad it was delicious, a tad on the salty side and the sprinkling of red pepper flakes gave a spicy bite to it. The cheese was super, melt in your mouth creamy. Then I had the Wagyu Hanger Steak-chipotle glaze, gorgonzola, aged balsamic over crispy smashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts and asparagus spears all delightfully grilled. You have to get dessert! I got the Croissant Bread-Pudding - chocolate, bacon, vanilla ice-cream and salted caramel! I truly think that is the best dessert I have ever eaten! Don't leave without trying it! Overall I have no problem giving DaVinci's a 5 star review! The service couldn't be better with the ambiance we were looking for!
google avatar

Ethan B.

Yelp
Best oysters in Oregon, no contest. Those kumamotos With that out of the way, DaVinci is the go-to fine dining for Salem. Yes, it's pricey, but the portions are filling, the quality is consistently good, and the menu is always full of classics you didn't know you were missing. From rich, decadent pastas to hearty roasts to shockingly well-balanced salads, DaVinci doesn't serve anything unless they're going to serve it well. The staff are well-trained, helpful, and observant. I've never left DaVinci without being thrilled at the opportunity to leave a tip. To top it all off, the ambience is unparalleled. Live pianists perform with shocking frequency (So much that I wonder if they are actually there every night?) Lights are kept dim, and silent films play projected onto the wall by the stairs -- largely out of view of the tables so as to not be distracting from your companions. And yes, DaVinci's wine list definitely makes me feel like my paycheck has too few "zeroes" on it, but for a special occasion, the food and ambience can't be beat.

Jackie B.

Yelp
The fool is superb, well worth the money, as is the atmosphere. It's very romantic with live piano music. The lights are dimmed, and candles illuminate each table. Even though the restaurant was full, it still felt intimate and conversational. Tonight was our 2nd time. Unfortunately, because of the less than great service, it kept me from giving 5 stars. Our server tried, but she was maybe shorthanded. We were not asked if we wanted another drink. In fact, I asked for a coffee refill that never came. It took an extraordinary amount of time sitting with no food or drinks for the server to ask if we wanted dessert. I really wanted their tiramisu, but because it was getting late, we skipped it. I still recommend DaVinci because the food is SO good!!

Yelp
Christopher was amazing!! Went here with wife and kids and let me tell you!! Service was on point, food outstanding and music really set the mood. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Always exceeds expectations. Great menu weekly. Can't wait for the peach burrata to be back on the menu!

Yelp
The ambiance is delightful with soft lighting and a romantic atmosphere. Our waitress, Belle, was so friendly and attentive and she offered helpful menu recommendations. The tuna tartare was so fresh and delicious and the Seafood Pappardelle was perfect! Such a gem!
google avatar

Ed W.

Yelp
I really wanted to give the place 5 stars, but I just couldn't do it. If it was merely the service from my server Christopher or the overall ambience, it would easily be a 10 star review. The staff is what still makes this place great!!! Christopher is one in 100 servers. He has product knowledge and a table side manner of pure class that is not often found in Salem oregon. The host and bartender were also very welcoming and again exemplified perfection. The 1st time I dined at DaVinci 30 years ago, I was star struck. It was the go to for all of us living in South Salem. We moved a decade ago and were in the area the evening of. The food was good, but a couple plates really missed the mark. The halibut was disappointing. Fish itself was old and dry. The bechamel had zero flavor as if the chef might have forgotten an ingredient or 2. The pan fried oysters were ok. The pasta was great, the steak was perfectly cooked and the desserts were fantastic. Overall if this was merely a food review, it would have only been 3 stars at the price point expectation. The crew easily raised the bar. Drinks are fantastic. Next time I plan on just going in for cocktails and maybe a pizza.

Yelp
OH MY GOODNESS! this foodie experience was to die for. At dinner with my daughter and son in law. We ordered a multiplicity' of magic. And talked about kidnapping THIER very talented chef. Lol. This time I took a few pictures. The food was unreal it has to be the best meal I have had in a very long time. The ambiance was very romantic and grand with dark woods and softly lit.lighting. I swear we ordered a bit of everything off the menu because everything looked and sounded amazing. Even THIER drinks were epic! We ordered a beef tartar., Lobster escargot ,oysters on the half shell,, cheese Bellinis , and for my entree a generous yummy melt in your mouth perfectly seasoned sturgeon fillet. I could text and text on about this restaurant food, great service, and experience...... just trust if you ever are in Salem this is the place to go.. Sincerely Lori B/C

Yelp
My hubs & I popped in for a drink & dessert on our date night & Da Vinci's never disappoints! The ambiance is always romantic & the live pianist was wonderful. Yelp
The food, service and ambience were by far the best I've experienced in quite awhile. Course after course was better than the previous dish we had. The owner, Mo, was there making sure our dining experience was perfect. And the sommelier was exceptional. Every wine she chose perfectly complimented each dish that was presented. I would highly recommend this beautiful gem. I can't wait to go back!!!

Yelp
Oh my!!!! I'm not sure how I've never been here before as I've been to all the surrounding restaurants but I've been missing out. Far better than other places in Salem and a hidden little gem. All the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. The cocktails were well created, menu had many tantalizing options to choose from and each we chose was wonderful. I also like that reservations were available via Resy as Salem is a bit of a drive for us so it's nice to know there was a place waiting for us. We sat outside as it was a beautiful day but the inside looked classy, inviting, romantic, and definitely a mood.

Dariamy C.

Yelp
We had a family reunion dinner here and we had Stevee as our waiter and she took so good care of us! She gave us her personal recommendation on what food and drinks to get, and everything was really good. Literally had a good time, the food was amazing and came out on time. Definitely would come again for a fancy dinner!

Pamela M.

Yelp
Although a bit busy, the food and service was a 10. Everything was well prepared and to my liking. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and kept the flow of the meal going even though the kitchen was a little delayed. It is very darkly lit way in the back and you are privy to every neighboring table's conversation. Luckily it was a pretty humorous one. We will definitely come back for romantic date nights!

Ron H.

Yelp
Man these boys have been in business a long, long, long time. Over the past 25+ years they are consistent. If you enjoy a brilliant serving of pasta this is beyond wonderful. One evening about the 25 yr ago mark, Mo opened the kitchen past hours and served us an amazing pasta dish. Must be very clear with this next comment.... I have never had a better martini. Their bar is perfection. I know the reason that service was exceptional in part was status. They do cater ....overly to Salem's/Oregon's elite ok 1%. Been there when they didnt know my family and the service was bad. Really bad. When I was with people they recognized....service was very different.

Yelp
Recently had dinner at DaVinci's. Linda was the somolier and waitress and very attentive. She suggested the perfect wine based on my friend's preferences. We shared a Caesar salad and both had a pasta dish with prawns and scallops, but my friend got all prawns. The food was very good, but the sauce could have been more zing to it. The atmosphere was fantastic - especially the piano player when we first arrived. Service was not hurried but my friend was a little worried because of a time constraint. Definitely going to visit in the future if I have the chance.

T D.

Yelp
My husband and I have enjoyed meals as a couple, with friends and with family here in the past decade, but it will be a long while before we return. I made a reservation for the upstairs dining room, but the hostess at the last minute switched us to the downstairs dining area near the bathrooms. I should have said something but didn't. My bad but strike one. We noticed the prices have risen quite considerably, including the wines by the glass. However, knowing the quality of the food from our past experiences, we weren't shocked. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. My husband declared his Caesar salad a mess, and my beet salad didn't have the equivalent of a whole beet and looked like it was dumped on my plate rather than arranged, which what I'd expect from a $20 salad. My husband said his seafood fettuccine had good flavor, but it was mushy, seemingly overcooked. I took a risk ordering a Peruvian dish Loma Saltado (I normally order fish) and was throughly disappointed. The beef was overcooked, the rice was undercooked and the vinegar was over the top ruining whatever other flavors were in this pricey dish. We didn't bother with dessert. Strike two. Then there was our server. Her manner was overbearing, and she vacillated between curtness and being too familiar. Strike three. On a positive note, the busboy was terrific, refilling water glasses and keeping an eye out for when to remove plates. We also enjoyed the piano player.

Linda P.

Yelp
Wonderful evening. I went there with my sister and neice. The food was amazing, and the waitress immediately got our sense of humor and we had a blast with banter she dished out. We laughed so much! I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Love this place! Incredible food, impeccable service, not cheap but an excellent meal is not cheap. Always a favorite when we are in Salem!

Yelp
This was great. My daughter picked it out. I didn't want to stop in Salem but it was totally worth it. We tried the bone marrow and a nice salad and I think I had an awesome pork chop. My daughter picked out a burrata salad as well that was outstanding. Service was excellent. Great ambience with impressive bar up front and nice upstairs area.

Yelp
The BEST restaurant in Salem and it isn't even close. Staff was very attentive, our waitress Belle was an absolute treat. Never felt like we were overlooked (younger couple). Drinks were great, food was great. Not to mention sitting by the fireplace was also a neat touch. Definitely will be back.

Food was amazing! Ambiance is also great. Service was so so, our waiter was polite but not friendly. It was our anniversary and they knew this when we checked in but no mention of it again. Corkage fee of 30. Overall not as special as we had hoped considering the cost. They also won't do any special orders or variations in meat temperature

Yelp
Price is high for the quality of food offered. Nice aesthetic however, beautiful venue. The service while quality, at times seemed a tad over zealous and distracting.

Yelp
I took my family here after graduation because I had been two years before and had a good experience. Unfortunately, this time was one of the worst dinners I have ever had and the service was horrendous. My grandmother asked if the waiter good take a picture of all of us and he told her he had too many things to do. The food was cold (so cold my pasta was stuck together with cold shrimp and scallops), the other meals were extremely salty, or had next to nothing great about them. I'm so disappointed in the establishment, and will never return. Ambiance is always good there.

Yelp
Checked this place out for date night one evening and it did not disappoint. Interior was dim and had nice decor, I was feeling it. Service was quick when we stepped in as well. We we're seated and off to ordering. For drinks, I got the wooden airplane and followed that up with a Sazerac (a little later :)) The lady ordered a hibiscus cocktail (I forgot the name) and followed that up with a dirty martini. Drinks were solid! The bartender was even more solid! For food, I ordered the seafood pasta which was delicious. The lady got the duck, which was also delicious. We also ordered the steak tartare because the lady never tried it before. It was a solid tartare, I would order it again but I've had better. To add to it, we also got the burrata caprese which was mmmmmm. Our server was attentive even though they were running around. The bartender though! We were hanging out enjoying our drinks after getting our food boxed up and they were near closing time. The bartender saw us kind of eye balling the cocktail menu and asked if we were doing ok. We said kind of and she mentioned that we can order another drink but we declined because of the time. She didn't want to take no for an answer lol. She was totally cool about being there late or us being there late and just wanted us to enjoy ourselves. She was kind and personable. She was asking what we wanted and after a little back and forth, we caved and thats when I got the Sazerac and the lady a dirty martini. The food and experience was all good and I would come back for sure. However, the experience with the bartender elevated the visit and on that alone, we would come back. I'm a little upset we didn't catch her name but hopefully she will be there the next time we visit. We will be back soon!

Yelp
This is a very nice and quintessential Salem restaurant. It is on the expensive side of the scale but well worth it. The wine selection is excellent as well as the food. I've always had great service. It's a great place to take out of town guests. It's a bit fancy for kids.
