Dined on 08/19/2025. My girlfriend and I decided to go here for date night. The ambience is nice, especially with the beautiful music from the piano player, however, we were seated upstairs, nowhere near the music (even though there were tables available downstairs close to the music - I suspect that it's because their primary clientele this evening appeared to be the wealthy Caucasian crowd and we are an interracial couple - sadly, we are used to this). We ordered a couple of cocktails. Both were decent, but nothing to rave about. I ordered the duck and my girlfriend ordered the American wagyu steak. The steak was cooked well but lacked seasoning. The duck was crispy but dried out and way overcooked. We also order a bottle of wine. This was the highlight of the meal. Their wine section is excellent. We ordered dessert. I had the tiramisu, which had no resemblance to an actual tiramisu (no lady fingers, it was basically a bowl of mascarpone with a moat of whipped cream and chocolate shavings - I took one bite and could not have any more - it was revolting). My girlfriend had the flourless chocolate cake. I've had this dessert at other restaurants and loved it. Here, it was the tiniest of portions and dressed up with some blackberries and whipped cream, lacking in beauty, taste, portion, and sophistication. The wine was the only thing we enjoyed from this dining experience other than each other's company. The service was sub par except for the sommelier, who was knowledgeable and courteous. For a $270 meal with a $55 tip, equaling a total of $325, I felt like I could have had a better tiramisu from the grocery store, purchased duck breast, cooked it myself, without drying it out, prepared the entire meal myself and saved myself $200+. I do not recommend this place. We were quite disappointed. I know that if we had mentioned anything that displeased us, there would be nothing they could do and we would just be looked at as the unhappy interracial couple complaining in a predominately Caucasian clientele restaurant trying to skip out on paying their bill. So, I paid the bill, gave a 20% tip, and learned our lesson. Do yourself a favor and dine somewhere else.
