Davis Estates

Davis Estates is one of my favorite wineries in Napa! This winery is in Calistoga on the side of the mountain overlooking the valley to the west. The cave is absolutely beautiful, the industrial theme of the winery is so unique, and the wines are delicious. Davis Estates offers several different wines for any wine lovers to appreciate. Their Phase V top tier wines are some of the best wines l've ever had. The Food and Wine Pairing experience is exquisite and so delicious. My host, Amy, made the experience so positive and enjoyable. I definitely recommend Davis Estates!

Davis Estate, what a beautiful place.. we did our cave tour and wine tasting here, we were impressed with the place esp when entering the cave and it’s high tech features.. wines are also good, the wine tasting in the barn was special with a little bit of food wine pairing. The price of the tour is very worth it, this place is world class.. I’ll have my family come here next time.. one of the best tours we had in Napa Valley .. special thanks to Brian , our wine tour guide, very accommodating and knowledgeable about their wines.. we bought 4 wines , great for Thanksgiving dinner

We had an amazing experience at Davis Estates. We were lucky enough to have a tour with Brandon Davis who is part of the family Davis Estates. What a memorable visit. The vineyard is breathtaking and the wines are possible the best I have ever tasted. We celebrated our anniversary here and we had the most lovely view for our lunch. We described our favorite taste in wine and Brandon brought us a pour of what turned out to be our favorite was the Davis Estates Classic Chase named after Brandon’s son. Definitely visit you will not be disappointed!

We had a wonderful time during our visit to Davis Estates. We were fortunate they had a tasting time available on the same day we were looking to find one and were so glad they did! Amy was our host and she was so fun, friendly, and knowledgeable. We had the food and wine pairing and it was excellent. The views from the tasting areas are beautiful and we really loved taking a tour of the cave and all of the artwork owned by the Davis family. The wines were great, too! I would highly recommend this experience!

The location, the property, the food pairings and most importantly the wine were the best we encountered this trip! What a fantastic property. There's so much amazing art and things to experience. We did the tasting menu and the meals were amazing. Compliments of the Chef. The wines were some of the best I've had in the valley recently. Can we talk about the cave and the vault for a second? IYKYK. There is so much art to see. This is a most go place in the valley, in my opinion.

An Unforgettable Experience at Davis Estates This was hands-down the highlight of our trip! We reserved the Napa Cave Tour & Wine Tasting and it turned out to be an absolutely unforgettable experience. Arriving a bit early, we were warmly greeted by the staff and our host, Jon, who we cannot recommend highly enough. From the moment we stepped in, Jon elevated the entire experience with his exceptional hospitality, attention to detail, and deep knowledge of the estate and wines. He made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued, turning what could have been just another tasting into something truly special. The cave tour was nothing short of epic, tasting wine straight from the barrel was a unique touch, and the Cellarium was jaw-dropping, like a scene straight out of a James Bond film. We ended the tour with a beautifully curated tasting, paired with exquisite bites prepared by the culinary team right in the open kitchen of the tasting room. The panoramic vineyard views added the perfect finishing touch. In our view, service can make or break an experience, no matter how stunning the venue or delicious the wine. In this case, every aspect was outstanding, and Jon’s warmth and professionalism were the defining factors. We’ve visited numerous wineries across Washington, Oregon, and Sonoma, and never felt compelled to join a membership, until now. Signing up on the spot was a true testament to how exceptional Jon made our visit. Thank you, Jon! We look forward to returning and reliving this incredible experience.

We had one of the best experiences that we have ever had wine tasting. The food pairings were perfect, the wine is by far the best that my wife and I have had, and we have been to a lot of Napa and Sonoma wineries. To top it all off, Tyler made our visit very enjoyable. He was super knowledgeable, and had a fun personality that enhanced the entire experience. Davis is our new favorite winery, and their quality is unparalleled.

Wow! I am beyond pleased with our tasting experience. Be sure to book this place soon, it is bound to become the hottest ticket in Napa. The palate and creativity of the chef is unmatched. The location is absolutely stunning to say the least. I love that the menu changes according to the freshest available produce, and that you can access the recipes online after your visit! We came here on a Saturday for the wine tasting. The pairings were well done and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxing. We really enjoyed our tour of the estate, which is beautifully maintained. Excellent service curating a memorable personalized experience. However, I did find the wine to be mediocre only. In the photos: Chardonnay w/ fennel-leek bisque, pickled shrimp, tarragon; Merlot w/ gnocchi, mushroom ragout, roasted maitake, garlic chives, parmesan Zephyr w/ baharat farro, roasted asparagus, dried cranberries, cherry agridulce, feta; Oakville Cabernet w/ slow roasted wagyu striploin, black chickpea puree, smoked garlic English pea tzatziki.

We had the good fortune recently to join some friends and visit the Davis Estates Winery. My buddy set us up with the Napa Cave Tour & Tasting. Marvelous experience. The beautiful estate, original artwork (e.g., Remington & Andy Warhol) and the wine & food made for a great day. Our wine pairing looked like this: 1. 2022 Chardonnay / Ginger and Carrot Soup 2. 2019 Zephyr / Medley of Spring Vegetable, Truffle Ricotta, Wild Garlic & Applewood Smoked Bacon 3. 2018 Rutherford Cabernet / Beluga Lentils, Roasted Yams, Chioggia and Yellow Beets, Feta Pepitas, Shallot-Sage Vinaigrette 4. 2018 Oakville Cabernet / Ras El Hanout Lamb Loin, Moroccan Couscous My favorite was the Oakville Cab and it paired perfectly with the lamb. Our Host was Stehanie Bryant and she made everything better ...... so knowledgeable. Note: you can purchase these wines online or you can buy them at the winery ......... that is it.

This place is one of the best that I have tried in the last few years (and we have tried quite of a few). Ry was very nice and knowledgeable, he made us feel like home from the very beginning, love their wine and the pairings were excellent. We became member and we are already looking forward for the next time. Great job

We had Tyler as our guide. He was amazing. He never failed to offer to take our picture or give us more food and wine. He was an amazing photographer and person. He made us laugh on multiple occasions with his silly jokes. He answered all of our questions with thoughtful answers which the group enjoyed. He told us to be true to ourselves and the things we liked. We think he is adorable. Thank you Davis Estates and especially thank you Tyler!

Highly recommend coming here and doing the cave tour and tasting! First of all, the estate is beautiful and great for photos. The wine was also fantastic - some of the best our entire two-day trip, and especially loved that they came with food pairings. The tour which included a tour of their cave and some really cool rooms was also a lot of fun. Was so happy to have found and tried this place!

WOW! So much to love about Davis Estate! Alex was the perfect host for us. The food and wine pairing is extraordinary. The Oakville Cabernet was our favorite! Yes, we will be back.

My girlfriend's mom booked a tasting for us as a joint birthday gift while we were in town visiting. Tyler was our server and walked us through an amazing wine & food pairing. Top notch service the whole way, with no pressure to join or buy anything. The owner, Mike, even came and sat with us for a bit, giving us a lot of insight into the design of the area we were sitting in. Absolutely gorgeous place, that was super comfortable. We didn't want to leave! Both the wines and foods were superior to most of what you'll come across at similar pairings. I cannot recommend this place enough. 10/10!

The food and wine pairing here was an amazing experience. Their menus change every 8 weeks and we were so lucky to have gone on the first day of their menu change. Food was delicious. Paired very well with the wines. Wine on its own were also great. My faves were the chardonnay, merlot and Pinot noir. The winery is on the pricier end in terms of both tasting and bottles but it's worth it. Modern with a little bit of rustic vibes. Our hostess was amazing. We didn't get to go out to the vineyard for pictures but the view from inside was still gorgeous. I recommend reservation beforehand!

Excellent service and the wine/food pairings are excellent. This is the ONLY winery where we are Club members - we love the food and wine pairings - the chef is excellent and so are the wines. We occasionally buy the Phase V wine made by Phillipe Melka - but we do LOVE Cary Gotts wines too! I wish i had taken pics of the first 2 courses - these were our favorites! You get 4 wines paired with food and a welcome wine. And the Davis parties are THE BEST!! (We are Napa locals and also work in the wine industry!)

Really great wine tasting experience. Hospitality is next level, location is beautiful, experience was lovely. They pair the wine tasting with deliciously prepared food, with the menu changing monthly. They have some great spots that you can reserve for private parties.

This is definitely an upscale tasting! The food pairing is 100 percent worth it! Go for the upgrade, you won't regret it! Also their wine is damn fine;)

A visit at the Davis Estate is one of those experience - the combination of top notch hospitality, food pairing and great wine with the quality 1:1 time with your host at the beautiful deck overlooking the vineyards. It is surreal experience and everything is just amazing! Recommend to book a few weeks in advance as we are heading to the busier season. $100 with a few great bites as pairing is a steal in the valley.

Just to echo what all the other reviewers are saying, this is a super classy, upscale, first class experience in Napa. We really enjoyed ourselves here doing the chef's tasting experience. I could sit here all day and drink the fabulous wines. All are top notch and the experience made for a very relaxing afternoon. We enjoyed the tour with our host and highly recommend this beautiful winery!

Great winery to make a tasting and food pairing reservation. The interior design looks Restoration Hardware inspired with a remarkable view of the valley and the Mayacama mountain backdrop. Easy to get to just being off of Silverado Trail near Calistoga.

What an amazing Winery and amazing tour by Pete! Fabulous food, wonderful wines and the most personable and informative guide. The beautiful property was only upstaged by the lovely wines. Perfect Napa day with friends!

Why don't more people know about this place? Well, it's reasonably new and is intentionally not really marketing itself. They see less than 90 people per day. But wow... The property is well laid out with great views. There's a functioning windmill (that's why there's one on the label) and rare art (you didn't know you were going to a museum). And a Big Ass Fan in a man-cave barn (you'll have to see it for yourself.) The food pairing was incredibly tasty with a variety of small bites. My compliments to the Chef who was cooking live on property. The staff is friendly, accommodating without being intrusive. Thanks Pete! Of course, this is a winery so you should care about the quality of the wine as well. I'm impressed, especially for a new winery. My favorites of the day were the Pinot and Cab Franc. But really I liked it all. This is a high-end ($100) hard-to-get reservation -- plan in advance. I'll definitely be back to Davis Estates.

Gorgeous winery with spectacular views, and gorgeous architecture is what Davis Estates offers. My visit to Davis was for a food a wine pairing, that was individually crafted, complete with a personalized menu with each guest's name adorning the top. Although the menu was not vegetarian friendly, the in house chef made my pairing so! Talk about accommodations! The starter of tomato basil soup was heaven in a cup... blanketed with a swirl of basil creme fresh and parmesan croutons. I enjoyed it so much, that they even were kind enough to give me the recipe!!! The wine paired with our four courses was divine. Expertly crafted, and one even gave the aroma of a exquisite floral fragrance... lavender. One like I not experienced previously. Simply delightful. The wine pairing is very personalized, and intimate. This is not your standard tasting experience. It was lovely one of a kind affair. If you go, make sure to make a reservation, and be prepared to become a member.

I took my friends from out of town for the chef's tasting experience (95$) and it was absolutely fabulous. Everyone was very impressed. The food pairings were great and the wine was delicious. I attached our menu. The food is meant to compliment the wine and not be a full meal, so expect to eat a meal before or afterwards. We sat on their incredible heated patio with these amazing swinging couches. The winery is so beautiful. The ambiance and the view was next level. Scott was our guide through the pairing and was very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. It was like having your close friend guide you through the tasting. Recommend this experience highly! I wish I would have taken pictures of our food!

A five star experience. I spent my birthday celebrating here and my favorite aspects of this beautiful winery include: Awesome hospitality On site kitchen with food pairings was divine D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S wines, took home a Chard and Merlot but even the Zephyr was divine Architecture and design of the winery was so beautiful And last but not least.. the indoor outdoor seating area we were able to soak in the Napa rays while sitting on these gorgeous couch swings and gazing and the beautiful vineyard Bonus... it was my birthday and they sweetly offered a birthday bite paired with some tasty dessert wines Heaven on earth

I took my partner to Davis Estates for a food and wine pairing for his birthday and we were absolutely impressed by every aspect of the tasting. This property experienced damage during one of the wildfires that plagued 2020 and it could be seen on the north side of the property. However, it did not detract from the beauty of the property from the viewpoint of the tasting terrace nor did it sour our visit in anyway. Observance of proper COVID protocol and safety measures also made us feel at ease. Erin, who guided our tasting, was knowledgeable, personable, and made us feel welcomed. At no point did we feel rushed, judged for our appearance (young & brown), or pressured into purchasing wines. However, we loved the wine and experience so much (we even bumped into Mike, the owner, on our way out!) that we were COMPELLED to join the wine club. We walked away with our first four bottles and will definitely be back for another tasting, via our wine club membership.

We had the best experience you can imagine, the winery, the food and the best part of was our concierge Maddy she was great had the passion for her job explaining everything from the history of the winery to food, win she was absolutely the best I highly recommend this winery a must go.

Where to begin... how about safety! We were a little nervous about venturing out to Napa during a pandemic. One of our friends recommended Davis Estates since they provide a more intimate service. The entire time we felt extremely safe and it was clear that our safety was their priority. Now to the fun stuff, their pairing menu is a must. It's always fun to pair food with wine and they execute at the highest level. I was blown away at the flavors of the food alone, but then followed with a sip of one of their great wines it brought out so many additional flavors. I'm not a wine aficionado and quite honestly, I'm just an average joe that enjoys nice experiences. They knock the ambiance department out of the park, gorgeous building, gorgeous views and gorgeous vineyards. They're doing something special at Davis Estates and you'd be doing yourself and your friends a huge favor by going here. Ask for Pete as your server, he knows his stuff and is fun to be around. He knows how much time to spend explaining the experience while not lingering.

A MUST! Had the most phenomenal experience! The food, ambience, and host were incredible. First wine tasting in wine country and did not disappoint. The estates are gorgeous, menu and wine pairing combinations were so unique. Absolutely coming back!

Came here for our honeymoon and did a wine tasting with food pairing and tour. Sheree was our host and she was amazing. We had an amazing experience! The chefs food was delicious! We loved Sheree's knowledge and passion for the winery. We felt so welcome and couldn't be happier with the experience. Thank you so much for a wonderful memory. We will definitely be back.

Davis Estates was almost too good to be true. I took interest in visiting after reading a great review from a blog that listed it as thee best Silverado Trail Winery, which is such a huge compliment. (https://whimsysoul.com/silverado-trail-wineries/) I can't comment on the wine per say as I don't drink alcohol. However, as for service, setting, and scenery I have a few notes. Service - I must say they are top tier. Me and my partner were hosting friends from Washington, D.C. and our reservation was for a party of 5. Davis Estates was kind enough to make a confirmation call 24hours in advance, but silly me still got the reservation times confused. We arrived 30 minutes late, but Davis Estates was very understanding and still accommodated us. We were served by Garrett Anderson, who is also the gentleman I booked the reservation with. Garrett had incomparable firsthand, lifelong knowledge about the wine industry having grown up in Napa. We appreciated his fun and funny demeanor, and enjoyed having him as our guide. Setting - The setting was stellar. We sat at a large bar height wooden table just outside the venue on a shaded deck. We all felt the roominess of the table was most comfortable as at some tastings, the smaller bistro tables can get overcrowded with glasses, food etc. The menu's were personalized with each of our names. Although I hadn't tasted wine, I did have a few bites of the food pairings and I was ready to ask the chef his recipes! Everything was so tasty and you could tell the food was prepared with care. Not all wine tastings are accompanied by such delicious food pairings so this was certainly a happy surprise. As for adhering to COVID protocol, Davis Estates did a tremendous job. We only interacted with Garrett and from my view all tasting settings were more than regulation distance apart. There weren't many people on site either which also reassured us that Davis Estates valued protocol over everything. Scenery - By far, the best part of this winery. It's almost like you're not in the U.S. The ambience of the winery was such a compliment to the tranquility of the vineyard we overlooked from our table. There was no bustling, no loud talking. It was quiet and calm and it was much appreciated. Our visit was certainly a much needed retreat. We thank Garrett, our chef Mark Caldwell, and everyone else at Davis Estates for such a charmed experience. Visit date: 7/25/20

We had a cave tour and tasting and it was amazing!!!! Tyler was knowledgeable, fun and really made it special. The pairings were spot on and we cannot wait to come back. It was so spectacular that the other tastings could not compare and they were disappointing.

Brandon Davis was our host. It was great learning about the history of the winery and how they survived one of the recent California fires. The wines were fantastic!!! Each wine was served with a food dish prepared by their on-site chef. It really helped to bring out the taste of the different wines. We enjoyed it so much, we ended up joining their wine club. So hopefully we will have many more similar experiences over the next several years.

This is an amazing Winery. The poshest place I have ever been to in the Napa Valley. Went last weekend and were treated like family and royalty. Was given a private tour, went into the cave, and was given the opportunity to drink some fabulous wine with pairings made in their executive kitchen. The food prepared with each selection was amazing. Could have stayed there all day. The effort to put forth a fabulous product was not lost on me. The views were amazing. Davis Estates, this is how it is done!

I am a wine exporter we carry their wine . This is the best winery in Napa Valley, highly recommended this cult winery . Excellent wine and food pairing. Best wine tour . Yes, their wine maker is incredible. The architect is amazing.

I don't normally leave negative reviews for any places , however this experience left me feeling inclined to do so. Stunning estate and great wine, however their wait staff accused us of being "over served" even though we were coherent and spread out on their patio couches ? If you're younger be aware that this place is less judgmental and farrrrrrrr more welcoming if you're older and white. Truly disappointed by the waitstaff that left a poor taste in our mouth. Go back but be aware you maybe received as a "mess" or "over-served" because of your age or if you make yourself feel comfortable......

This was my first ever wine tasting, first time in California and wow was I impressed. We were even more impressed when our second tasting of the day (at a VERY well known place) was absolutely horrible. This place is pretty new as far as Napa wineries go but you can tell they spent a lot of time and thought into the place and keeping it relevant to its previous history. The service was impeccable. We bought a membership and will be recommending this place to everyone.

I have been up to Napa many times, as it is only a short drive away from San Francisco. I have been to dozens and dozens of wineries and I have to say, Davis Estates is something special. I went up with my family over the holidays and it was just lovely. We had a tour and tasting and we were blown away. Unreal grounds and caves. Great Wine. Complete Luxury. Such thoughtful and attentive staff. After our tasting, we then ventured out on the balcony for a picture or two while we enjoyed the sunshine and views. We even bought wine to take home and signed up the Wine Club!! I'm hooked and want to come all the time. (I am going back up this weekend to do the Food and Wine Pairing....CANNOT WAIT!!!!) Note- what's nice with Davis Estates is it is exclusive. They limit the number of guests that can visit in a day...which makes for a much more intimate experience. Make sure you make a reservation in advance!

We had a special tasting experience at Davis Estates. We were gifted the tour and tasting experience which included a tour of the beautiful cellar caves, the restored event barn and a seated tasting with food pairings in the stunning tasting room overlooking the terrace and the valley floor. Erin was a gracious and a low-key, but informative, host that made for a relaxed experience. We started with a Sauv Blanc for the walk, then a 2017 Cab barrel sample in the cave. Both were very good and the Cab has some very good potential. The facility and art work is first class, including a Monet, a couple of Picasso's and several Remington sculptures. The sampling included a Chard, a tasty Merlot (not normally one of my favs), a delicious and very drinkable Cab blend, the Zephyr, along with the 2016 Cab. We enjoyed the Zephyr the most. The chef was preparing the small bites in the beautiful open kitchen area. The short ribs were especially decadent. Overall it was a good experience (it should be for $100 per person) that would be a unique treat for someone special. Wines range from $42 for the Sauv Blanc to $100+ for most of the reds. They were sold out of all Pinots.

DE is now one of the staples we will always visit on our yearly Napa trip. The view is magical, the wines are to die for and the hospitality is exceptional. Pete was an amazing host, hilarious and entertaining but also so passionate and knowledgeable about the wine and property. Do yourself a favor, Davis estates is a Winery you can not miss!

Nestled in the north valley is a gem worth discovering. The food pairings are the focus, but the wine is equally impeccable, and the service was uniquely attentive. The view ain't bad either.

We had a great tasting experience on Friday at Davis. We booked a reservation about a week or so in advance and we did the food and wine pairing. We got seated on time and we had a quick tour around the tasting room. The views are incredible from the patio! We sat on a cozy couch for the tasting experience so it was super comfortable. The food was absolutely incredible and the wines were just as delicious. We ended up joining the club because we loved it all so much! Please do yourself a favor and go visit this new winery in Napa!

I can't remember how I was referred to visit Davis, but I am over the moon that I was! I live and work in the Valley and I have visited this wineries more than any other last year. I went in today for what was probably my 5th visit and Holly (who has taken care of me before) treated my friends and me with so much love and warmth. I did it... I joined the wine club.... AND I AM STOKED!!!!! Their wines match their hospitality and food and ambience. i recommend Davis Estates as often as I can to my friends and my guest (customers)

A must see in Napa! If I could rate 6 stars I would. It can be challenging to find a winery that has a quality chef, friendly staff, sweeping panoramic views, and amazing wines. Davis Estates has it all. As soon as you enter you can tell how much detail & time went into designing the property. They have an old restored barn, a room that can only be entered by finger print (wine club members only) and a original windmill on site. The food pairings were incredible It really pays off that they have a chef in house. A lot of wineries will give you just a cheese plate... at Davis you will get uniquely paired four course experience. There are many options for seating as well including a swinging bench outside, romantic fireplace, or near the bar next to the chef. Oh, and they made a cute personalized menu with my name on it-- Nice touch! I will defiantly be back!

My goodness! This is my heaven on earth. Here for a movie night, in their excellent movie theatre; pizza made fresh in their kitchen, tasting their top-notch wines.

We had such a lovely visit for a Wine and Food Pairing at Davis Estates! Our host, Holly, was so wonderful. We could've hung out with her all day! The wine and food were both delicious, and the view was spectacular! We are excited to drink the wine we purchased at home and cannot wait for our next visit to Davis Estates.
