Dawnbringer

Dawnbringer is a cart that makes really good breakfast sandwiches. I tried the Twilight Tasty. It's bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, cheddar and mayonnaise on a muffin type of bread. Actually it's a bit like if a muffin and a pancake had a love child. It's pretty good but the sausage didn't have as much flavor as one expects from breakfast sausage and I would have rather had a garden variety muffin or perhaps just sliced bread over the love child muffin/pancake. The bacon had great flavor. To be fair, we arrived at 12:30 and we almost were turned away because at first they said they were out of bread...but they managed to find one last offering. I'm picking on this sandwich a bit but some of that is do to writing an article about breakfast sandwiches. So I had it side by side with a sandwich from Pine State which I liked better. Dawnbringer is a cart but it's not fast food. It takes about as much time as a sit-down restaurant. There's only one table. Plan accordingly. They don't take credit cards. Came in for a good egg muffin and they delivered. It was delicious. The only downside was the guy at the window took my order wrong. I ordered the Twilight Delight but he gave me the one with sausage. Nonetheless I won’t ruin their 5 star rating because they are really good. 👍

What a great place! The English muffins are homemade every day. There’s a beautiful crunch to them and a savory finish. Our group had three different kinds. One full of meat, a vegetarian, and a vegan one. Each person raved about the fluffy eggs and great flavor. Don’t forget to get the green ginger drink. It was so refreshing and a wonderful way to start our day. We got there right when they opened at nine because we had heard sometimes they run out. The owner said he’s up every morning at 3:30 AM Making those english muffins. I wish there was one closer to my house, but I will make the trip over there again and again!

Absolutely delicious breakfast sandwich! The english muffin was the perfect balance of fluffy and chewy and all the fillings were spot on, especially the egg which was perfectly fluffy. They are cash/venmo only.

Absolutely spectacular breakfast sandwich and definitely the best English muffins I've ever had. The textures of everything were perfect, and went together so nicely. Absolutely worth a visit.

I was very underwhelmed by the food. The bacon on the sandwich was so smokey you could taste nothing else. I took it off, but without the sandwich was mostly bread. I noticed the people sitting next to us also removed the bacon. We ordered the fresh toast. I add a slice and only got one overwhelming bit of orange, maybe the batter needed mixed better. The vegan sandwich was the best. The wait was a bit longer than I expected. After we orded and paid he did say the French toast would take a while. I wish that was communicated before we paid.

I’m nuts for this breakfast sandwich and get it as many times as I can when I’m in town. Everything is homemade and the real star is the English muffin. The smoothie is great too!

Came here for lunch and it was the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Hands down. The fluffy egg and the soft/chewy/crispy English muffin are perfection. Plus it's great price for a great portion! It was so good I had to order another to bring my partner at home. He is not an enthusiastic person, but as soon as he took a bite he said 'Oh, hell yeah." I will be back 100%.

There are so many pluses here, made from scratch English muffins, delicious and nutritious chia pudding, french toast which I have yet to try This gets 5 stars and I really enjoy this food Every time I get this delicious food I have an amazing mood for my day.

Oh how I wish I would have found this place sooner!! Truly one of the best English muffins I've ever had. Like a little cloud . And the corned beef hash... I never knew I needed it in my life. Simply delicious! Service is friendly, helpful and pretty quick. The only warning I have for folks with AT&T is that your phone will hardly get reception, so carry some cash with you to pay for food. Parking is a bit of a challenge but I just parked around the corner and it was fine. There is a few tables outside if it's sunny and you want to hang out. One more note: make sure to get there early to ensure you get a little taste of English muffin breakfast heaven.

Stellar breakfast sandwich. The homemade English muffin is fluffy and delicious. The combination on this funky little sandwich (Morning Muffin) worked surprisingly well and each bite had to perfect ratio of ingredients. Will be back to try other options!!

Probably the best breakfast sandwiches in Portland but 3 times I have gone when they're supposed to be open and they've been closed. One time it was in the middle of breakfast hours and they were closed for an entire hour to make more muffins. This last time they put a sign up saying they were visiting family. For Christ sake man what do I have to do to eat here? Just show up and hope you are open when you say you are?

Drove 35 minutes to see a "sold out" sign. Really upsetting to drive all that way, over an hour of drive time to leave starving and never getting to try. Don't go here unless you want to be disappointed

Super tasty and good! Call ahead because they have ran out the few times I've been. There is no better breakfast sandwich in Portland on an English muffin, so so good!

Others have raved Dawnbringer has best egg sandwich in Portland and I can confirm. The English muffin is perfection, eggs tasty, cheese and bacon perfect. The balance is spot on. Other breakfast sandwich carts don't hold a candle to Dawnbringer but if they did everyone in PDX would have an affordable, tasty breakfast option on the go. Only one table for dining there, but I'm guessing for most this is a take out spot. Service was friendly and accommodating. Vegan options, good coffee. Can't go wrong here.

Best breakfast sandwich I've ever had- ever! and we have had SO many breakfast sandwiches, I would say maybe too many breakfast sandwiches. Amazing amazing amazing. My boyfriend and I usually each get a twilight tasty and Chaz makes it hot and perfect every single time. He is always serving up sandwiches with a smile and such a friendly attitude. It's a tiny, cozy little truck but I'm so glad we found it. We have been coming every week since we moved here over a month ago and we will probably keep coming back :)

Hole in the wall spot that one of our friends found! I noticed that there were not a lot of reviews or pictures, so coming here was a leap of faith. Bring cash or pay Kuto/venmo (venmo will cost you an extra 25 cents) as they do not take card. For parking, there was plenty of street parking. The food truck has two tables where you can sit and enjoy your meal. I am glad we checked it out and tried most things. I got the morning muffin and it has fish (and I love fishy fish) so just be aware when you order. I liked the English muffin itself and how large and fluffy it was. I used the hot sauce to add some heat and I thought it was a nice light breakfast. Our other friends got the solar sando and the twilight tasty, and they preferred it more than the morning muffin. The owner said the solar sando is his signature English muffin. We shared the rise and shine French toast and we really liked the combination of corn flakes, orange and maple syrup. It was made of English muffins instead of regular toast so it was pretty unique. We really liked the maple syrup (Massachusetts maple syrup) that came with it, the owner said he had just brought it from the east coast! Dawnbringer is a cool and unique spot for its fresh English muffins. The owner was super nice too so it is worth checking out!

10/10 breakfast sandwich, the fluffiest English muffin I've ever had, amazingly flavorful sausage and the chili Mayo ties it all together WOW, Such nice staff and great service as well. Will 100% be going back.

Super yummy breakfast sandwiches on the most delicious, fluffy, crispy, buttery English muffin. I got the tinned fish option and loved it. It had miso sauce, kale, eggs scramble, and avocado on it. They also have more traditional breakfast sandwiches. Theses magical muffins are made by the most charming chef. Treat yourself!! Go get one!

Can't say enough good things about this cart. Fresh and delicious food, creative offerings in generous portions at a great price. Soooooo good!

5 stars, we had heard great things about this food thats a hole in the wall, cash or venmo pay only place with delicious breakfast sandwiches! Handmade buns and some of the best breakfast sandwiches we've ever had and ran by a really nice guy. We will be back for sure.

I've eaten here 5-6 times now as it's walking distance from my house. Every time, the food has been excellent. We normally bounce back and forth between the corned beef sandwich and the more-traditional bacon, sausage, egg, always a tough choice. Prices are very reasonable at only $8 a sandwich. hours are currently pretty limited - only Sundays and Mondays, so we have to be intentional about our visit/remember they're open. Be advised they are Cash/Venmo/Kuto only - no cards

We have been going to this cart for months now and it's by far our favorite breakfast sandwich place in the city. The owner is so sweet and makes each order with love and care of a doting parent.

The best breakfast sandwich in Portland, hands down. The menu is small, but mighty. Do yourself a service and get a muffin, they're handmade!

We just had an amazing breakfast sandwich at this cute little spot. Delicious flavors on the best English muffin. Very nice guy running it--we'll be back for sure, and will spread the word. Only open a couple of days a week, but am hoping for more. Patty R
