The 11 Best Salads In London That Will Bring You Joy

"You don’t have to be Chris Packham to get why eating seasonal salads that have come directly from a farm in Gloucestershire is a good idea. Fresh organic salads are exactly what you’ll find at Daylesford, an all-day cafe and farm shop in Chelsea, with all of their produce coming directly from the farm of the same name. Although their classic chopped salads are fine, it’s the seasonal ones that will really put a smile on your face. For obvious reasons, the options change regularly but you can expect everything from spicy toasted cashew slaws to juicy heritage apple and kale bowls." - heidi lauth beasley, daisy meager, sinead cranna, jake missing, rianne shlebak

Daylesford Organic Review - Chelsea - London - The Infatuation

"This is the fourth London outpost selling products from the Daylseford farm in Gloucestershire. Downstairs there’s a shop where you can buy expensive organic artichoke, but the all-day café/restaurant on the first floor is where you should go for a coffee, some cold press juice, and a meal when you’re looking for something kind of healthy. Lunch options like pizzas, or their signature chopped salad are fine, but if you’re after something more substantial, their seasonal salads are very good. Getting a few of them beside a main like the venison rump in sage and truffle butter is also a good move. And despite the slightly sterile decor, this is also a great spot to get a laptop out and spend the afternoon ‘working’. " - Oliver Feldman

Beautiful decor, white marble and wood. Love the organic / sustainable ethos and that a lot of the produce comes from their farm in the Cotswolds. Everything is beautifully displayed and it makes you feel good just wandering around. The food is always good, some nice wine by the glass, good efficient and friendly service, nice selection of home wares if that’s your thing. Been coming here for years and I still enjoy a visit.

I don’t particularly wish to comment on this café, but I am aware that its brand recognition does not correspond to its hygiene or service standards. I haven’t been there for quite some time. Dishes with food stains, food being prepared with unwashed hands, and a rather intrusive service where you’re encouraged to order food every five minutes even if you just want a simple coffee—ultimately, the discomfort falls on the customer.

Google
Delicious food, great prices considering everything is organic, great service and setting. We’ve been there twice so far and we loved it. You have lifts for prams and baby changing facilities on site.

Google
Beautiful products and decor – but an ugly attitude behind it. We only ordered coffee and pastries. At the counter, nobody asked if we were eating in. The moment we tried to sit down with our drinks, we were told that every single table, even outdoors, is “for dine-in meals only.” So apparently in this “organic” shop, a customer who just wants coffee isn’t worthy of a chair – we were left standing on the pavement like second-class people. It’s ironic: the more “organic” and “exclusive” a place becomes, the more it seems to grow an ego. If this is your brand’s idea of hospitality, you’ve succeeded in making it very clear who belongs here – and who doesn’t.

Google
Excellent food. I had the squash tart with two salads. The only thing that meant I didn’t give 5-stars was that they lost my drinks order and needed to be chased a couple of times. Location is very pleasant.

Google
An odd experience. The store presents itself as a coffee shop with baristas and pastries in the window and multiple empty tables outside. Running 10 minutes early for a nearby appointment , I entered and tried to buy a cappuccino and was told that it's takeaway only from the counter, the tables are table service only and that they couldn't take order at the counter. Waiter was friendly enough but ordering and asking for bill etc added 15 minutes to the process. Coffee nice, £5.06 for a small mug including service charge.

Food is really good the service is terrible feel like they are making you a favour

Every week, after my weekly grocery shopping at a farmers market I come to daylesford organic for a cup of coffee with a croissant. Every week I get surprised that it’s always busy in this cafe with people having breakfast or pastries with coffee. Anyways, it’s been about 20 minutes since I’ve been given a table and the waiter who already knows me hasn’t even brought me a menu, not even getting started on taking an order. Great place, but don’t think a cafe and especially service here isn’t their strong side. Recommend to get a takeaway instead - better service and nicer people.

Yelp
Deeeeelish! Love the vibe, furnishings, and the mini-market.... so many great things here, it's hard to decide!

Yelp
PAINFUL SERVICE. The servers are all 15 and have no clue what's going on. Our order was magically gone, took an hour to get two salads, and constantly had to ask for water. The atmosphere is a nice and crisp clean look. Elevator music. Central location. The food itself is wonderful. It's the only reason I come but it's not worth me having to fight for my meal.

Yelp
The store and restaurant in Notting Hill is larger than this location and the selection in both the home and gourmet retail area is limited but our food was delicious. The service was attentive. The food was fresh, nurturing, well-prepared, and delicious. Some items where already sold out for the Sunday brunch and some items where not available due to the fact it was close to closing time. I love the farm-to-fork/garden-to-table concept. The company's passion for organic, pesticide-free, hormone-free food. The seasonal deli salad was delicious. We loved the home goods market area and items for sale. I would love to take a cooking course. A visit to the farm would also be amazing. They offer a frequent-purchase card for purchases made in the shop over £20. www.daylesford.com

Yelp
Overcurated now, having modified the menu. I get the impression that margins are being managed as well. Why make the distinction between breakfast and brunch when they sell everything in the shop anyway? But hey, Fulham is Fulham I guess. That said, what they do serve is delicious. As long as you like what they serve.

Yelp
Whenever I'm in London, I nip over to Pimlico for a wander through Daylesford which is the last word in chic, understated rustic food and décor. It is primarily a food shop with a café upstairs which sells accessories that one needs to live a creamy, organic lifestyle so here you will find expensive but wonderful pale gray alpaca rugs, hand poured tomato-leaf scented candles in clear jam jars and glazed earthenware bowls the color of eggshells. The food is earthy and excellent, especially the sweets. On nice days, you can enjoy your pumpkin bisque with crème fraiche outside. And, if you're ever in Gloucestershire, make it a point to visit the Daylesford mother ship in Kingston.

Yelp
Beautiful cafe and market with delicious food. A friend and I had a lovely Sunday brunch at Daylesford's cafe. It opens at 10 AM on Sunday, and there were a handful of seats open when we arrives ten minutes later. We sat upstairs at a two-seater along the windows, next to a shelf of beautiful earthen pots that we eyed. The cafe deserves five starts because first and foremost the food was delicious. Started with a pain au chocolat and friend had croissant with amazing preserves. I had a ginger lemon tea, with fresh lemons and the best honey I've had in a long time (yes I was licking my spoon). I had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and slices of toast. I never eat toast or eggs straight and both were just phenomenal. The space is bright and country-modern with great light and community feel without being too loud or tight. I would have loved to spend time in their market, both with their home goods upstairs and the fresh and prepared foods downstairs.

Yelp
I recently attended a supper club titled 'Eat To Be Healthy' which was beautifully done. I'd never been to Daylesford Organic and as a store, will definitely be going back to pick up some new things. It was white, clean and beautiful with an amazing selection of products. Now the food was beautifully presented and my sister and myself had a lovely evening. However I had higher expectations with the taste of the food - I mean it was good, it was ok but.. the sashimi wasn't very tasteful, the chicken was dry (after they had been talking about how moist it was going to be) and I wasn't gagging to eat more of the dessert. But the supper club was so well done and everything was so beautiful and I mean .. it WAS healthy.. which was the entire point of going there (although I know a lot of places that do healthy REALLY well), so if there was another one I guess I would go back. But then again I'd be excited to try others above this one. I love how all the food is organic and made from their farm. Given their due, it was their first supper club and the chef even said he had never cooked for this many people before. Everyone was very sweet. This is defiantly one to watch! Looking forward to better things to come!

Yelp
If you've ever wondered what food would be like in it purest state, go to Dayles Ford Organic! This intimate, ham-packed on the weekends restaurant and café sells only the finest foods in all of Britain made from 100% pure organic ingredients. When I came here I had the lamb salad, along with a crab starter. The service was pleasant and this is a great place to relax or a lazy weekend morning. At this stylish restaurant expect to see cliental with a load of brand names, which is only fitting to the décor. The inside of the restaurant is covered from floor to ceiling in white marble. There are communal tables inside, along with outdoor seating.

Yelp
I love this place. They have a wonderful assortment of fresh baked goods, salads, deli meat, and cheeses. I've always taken my purchases to go, but the also serve you there if you wish to dine in. I have to try that at some point! Dayle's Ford is a bit on the pricey side, but worth it for what you get.

Yelp
As has already been said, posh, organic and fresh describe this place. I have been here a number of times and I am always impressed. If you are looking for a sit down meal there are a number of indoor and outdoor seating options. For a light breakfast the tea and bread service of a crusty baguette with raspberry preserves and butter is delightful. While I didn't try the eggs Benedict myself, my dining partner thoroughly enjoyed it. For a satisfying lunch meal the three salad option is excellent. Not only is it beautifully presented, depending on the salads selected it will be colorful and unexpected at times with flavor fusion. We had beets, lots of exotic greens, raw veggies, goat cheese and amazing grilled butternut squash...and if its on the menu TRY the Asian inspired salad - its amazing! The soup of the day is always a good option, most recently I had the butternut squash soup and coupled with a baguette it is a meal on its own. Finally, the market for take away cant be beat. The sandwiches are wonderful, the coronation chicken focaccia is divine and the tart or quiche of the day is always a winner. All and all I will keep going back and I think this is a must try stop if you are near Sloan Square

Yelp
Daylesford is a beautiful looking shop with great (although limited) number of products. Whilst the staff here are often very friendly, service is Amazingly slow at the counter and upstairs in the restaurant I've had experience a number of staff forgetting entire courses!

Yelp
Our main dishes were not hot enough. Roast Cod was just warm, the potato was not crushed as stated in the menu and spinach was replaced with other dark green vegetable. Quiche was flavourful and had a crunchy base, but it needed to be warmed properly. Raw Slaw, Toasted Cashew, Chilli, Ginger & Soy Dressing was flawless. It was crunchy, very fresh and the dressing was absolutely delicious. Heritage Tomatoes, Crumbled Greek-style Cheese, Fresh Mint & Lemon Dressing was very refreshing. The cheese was tangy, but the dressing lacked mint flavour. Fruit Scone was beautifully baked, and had a lovely texture. It was served with clotted cream and jams. However Chocolate Nemesis was very disappointing. It was way too sweet and it killed the chocolate flavour. I think their dessert menu needed a serious re-structuring, as I had been very disappointed in their menu so far. That is why I have been ordering scones, which is not on the lunch menu. The service was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Let's start with this: the food here is really, really tasty. It is. It's well-seasoned, it's clearly of a great quality, and the ingredients are top-notch. Let's end with this: after we got our appetisers, we waited /one hour/ because our order for burgers was forgotten. Twice. At that point, we were more angry than hungry, especially as we got to watch table after table be seated, eat, and go while we waited, yet again, in the hopes of eating something. In the end, we managed to snag the manager and, about twenty minutes later, actually got our burgers, but 1.5 hours and that much bungling really doesn't make either of us eager to return.

Yelp
How can you not love a place that has parking for dogs' area! This is just shows one bit of the detail they put into this amazing food shop. Daylsfordorganics has a deli style array of products but it also has a cafe. They source most of the products they sell from their own farms, and the ones that are not theirs are more or less artisan, or organic. They always have delish samples to taste, we love samples, and of course the actual deco of the store is in the same line of the rest of the stores, clean, minimal, but with hints warm touches, like wicker baskets and plants and beautiful food display's. Pricy, yes but well worth it

Yelp
this has recently become my go-to brunch / coffee place. i like the serenity of the white marble, the soothing pulse of organic *everything*, the eco-packaging, the variety of cheese, the outstanding specialty breads... and there's great charm in the fact that they bring you a mini french press if you order the filter coffee and the eggs florentine are not to be missed!! it's often overcrowded, the service tends to be rubbish (as in, slow and sometimes unknowledable), and they are ridiculously skimpy with their "accompanied with fresh fruit" but sigh.... daylesford is high on style, albeit slightly short on substance, and located on the most uber adorable pimlico road... so there's nice stuff to look at on your trek there and back... and sometimes, when you just want an oasis to remind you what it means to be a foodie yuppie and feel like you're in the san francisco ferry building, well, this is your mecca

Yelp
We visited this place on a Sunday morning for breakfast. To be clear; I'm talking about the cafe upstairs, not the shop. The furnishing of the place is nice, sort of akin to one of those furniture shops that has white beds with pink sheets and vintage shabby chic wardrobes with chicken-wire doors. We needed a table for three, and were seated among other people on a long thin table a la Wagamama, I quite like that but it means you need to hope for good eating neighbours. In terms of pricing the food isn't that bad, with smoked salmon, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce on sourdough coming in at £11 or thereabouts, so not awful. That is, until, you get your portion. This place is all about the presentation, and though I appreciate it, it's disappointing when portion size gives way completely to presentation. I ordered scrambled eggs on toast and literally received one long slim slice of toasted sourdough with a pile of scrambled eggs, no butter, no trimmings. Seriously no butter?! Also, to add to my irritation, our, and everyone else's drinks arrived without spoons. Unhelpful if you put sugar in your coffee, or to stir your milk into your tea. I asked a server about spoons, I was told they're coming as they're all in the wash. Ten mins later they checked on our food and we were told again, spoons will be here soon, they're still in the wash. They never arrived. We stirred the drinks with our knives. Overall, this place has great potential but it lacked the attention to detail needed and the substance to make it worthy of the prices.

Yelp
Located on Pimlico Road near the quaint Orange Square in Chelsea, Daylesford Organic feels like a cozy local hangout. Part market, part cafe, fresh goodies are to be had. But what I think I like the best is it is healthy eating done right. It is not shoved down your throat at how wholesome it all is, it just is delicious food that happens to be good for you. Had a refreshing Saturday brunch on a hot summer afternoon. The place was busy, but the wait was not too long. Very much enjoyed my fluffy scrambled eggs on toast, and fresh squeezed orange juice. What was a little bit of a let down was that the waitstaff, at least upstairs where we sat, was a bit slow and seemed confused as to who was serving which table. We ordered a basket of bread which did not appear until we requested it again -2 more times. It showed up after we were well through half our main courses. Glasses of water were also slow in coming. Other then that the experience was enjoyable. Good wholesome food place.

Yelp
Oh, Daylesford... I've reviewed the Daylesford Farm Store (location: Cotswolds-y) before, but I think the Pimlico Rd location is the most beautiful "city Daylesford". It has its standard aesthetic going on: crisp and white, but accessible and homey at the same time, and - appreciated, too - the standard samples are out. Want to test some cheese? Sure! Oh, how about those candied mixed nuts? Go ahead, chomp on a few of those as you decide whether to buy wild garlic or spring onions (or both). There is seating outside as well as a full cafe on the first floor, with the grocery area on the ground floor. Full deli, dairy, and bakery section as well as beautiful British produce. As before, I most highly recommend the quality of their lamb, and have a deep relationship (that leads to hoarding) of their soups: the beet and smoked bacon and the oxtail, in particular. Staff is top-notch: knowledgeable but never pushy. Bonus point: they have adorable "dog parking" outside. Yelp note: I'm pretty sure the only reason I didn't give this a full five stars is because it's too pricey for me to visit on the daily. AND, when I last went, they didn't have my favourite brownies. Yep, I guess I'm petty when it comes to my chocolate-laced baked goods.

Yelp
I was excited to hear about, and visit, Daylesford organic as I am always seeking places that offer organic food when I travel. It's a wonderful place to grab a cup of coffee, green juice, pastry or food-to-go if you don't have time to dine-in. If I lived in the neighborhood, I would shop and dine there regularly. The breadth and quality of the meat, cheeses, breads and packaged goods was impressive. I wish I'd brought a larger suitcase as I would have filled it full with goods to bring home. I'll always try and stay close to one of their locations when in London so that I can stop in daily.

Yelp
Simply love this place and I can't believe that I can save 10% every time I shop there with my StyleCard. Nutritious, organic and tasty - what more could I want!

Yelp
Possibly some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I forgave the entries drink spilled all over my partner early on, but after waiting 30 minutes for desert and not being able to get the attention of staff (as the tables around me also found) I simply walked up to the bar and asked for the bill. The young waitress came over, grunted and passed my bill, then to be quickly followed up by another with the desert. Dumbfounded I looked at my partner in disbelief as the girl (who I later found out was the manager) said 'do you want it or not?' A rude and arrogant girl to say the least, and upon trying to complain she simply answered 'I am the manager' so there is no one to complain to. Don't bother going. There are far better places in Marylebone.

Yelp
Daylesford has absolutely the freshest and tastiest meals as well as a great little market downstairs for buying the very same ingredients they made your food with!.I first stopped by here a while back for groceries. The food items, as you would expect, is a little bit pricier than what you'd find in Sainsbury's - but because I was so lazy, I usually stopped by the latter. However, if you're okay with spending a little more cash and buying fresh and locally grown veggies and fruits, delectable cheese, home-baked bread, and grassfed meat, Daylesford Organic is the place to go. It's like a farmer's market sucked into one glorious and vast three-floored food heaven. And as I write this review, I regret not coming here more often to eat breakfast, brunch, lunch, and they even serve food to go at the counter on the ground floor! For that one time I did visit, I ordered a juicy piece of salmon on a bed of squash salad with cranberries. Sounds healthy? You betcha it was! It was a huge bowl so totally worth the value and it just tasted so fresh. I also had the seasonal green which was a tiny little cup with some cooked kale leaves - expensive 4 quids for the little guy but you pay for the quality. My friend had the corn beef with egg, and the mixed greens. Mixed greens was a huge bowl of salad and a yummy light dressing to top it off (more worth it than the seasonal green. His cornbeef meal was cooked in cast iron so woohoo for added iron (it was pretty tasty too albeit not as healthy as my salmon!) To top it all off, we had ginger and honey tea. I had whole bits of stringy ginger in my teapot and a saucer with really fresh honey at the side. The tea itself was all right, not the most flavorful despite the chunk of ginger but I kept nomming on the honey at the side. Also, free wi-fi if you wanted to loiter with your computer over your meal. Arghhhhh why didn't I come here more often before I left London?!

Yelp
Oh heaven. If you have been to the original Daylesford Organic farm shop which is in the middle of nowhere (in the Cotswolds, nearest train station Kingham, worth a visit if you have endless supplies of time and money) then to find this cafe in London is like a little countryside haven in itself. However, it is pricey and is a yuppy hide out. I mean, jesus I couldn't count the amount of yummy mummys in white jeans in there, pecking at their food and laughing raucously. I am a big fan of delicious, organic food and you can jolly well indulge in that here. But at a price. I had the lambs liver and mash. That was amazing. Absolutely delicious, I thought the portion looked a bit small but it was so filling and flavoursome and delicious. And then I had the black forest gateau for puds and that just topped everything off. I couldn't move. They have very nice blended teas in here, the Earl grey was veru delicate and finished the meal off nicely. I also once had the mackerel on the summer menu and that was much lighter and very healthy! If you are a fan of good food but don't mind very posh people gaffouing then come here. A meal will set you back £15-20, but it is worth the treat. And as I said, if you are ever in Kingham then go to the real one, they have a deli, a butchers a cheese counter. Amazing.

Yelp
Groovy groovy place. It's a market and shop with a cafe up top. I recommend this place if: You are ok with communal seating You like your coffee in the "put hair on your chest" category of strong You want the best, fresh tasting scrambled eggs of your life. You don't mind dry toast., which of course becomes cold quickly. England - what is it with you and dry toast? How about some butter? I would go back, but I would probably get tea.
google avatar

Alessandra L.

Yelp
I thought the service was really good! The food was just okay. Went on Sunday for their afternoon brunch. I had the avocado toast and the toast was just really hard/chewy. I also had a b-Alert smoothie that was very good! The person I was with had the eggs benedict which sounded like they were okay too, and a cappucino that she said was great. I don't think I would come back just because I feel like I paid too much for food that was just 'okay' but maybe their deli food is good?!

Yelp
Super smooth coffee shop and Deli in Pimlico Rd, not far from Sloane Square. The whole place is white marble and very stylish. Good coffee and cakes, very popular. Seating is at a bar along the window or at a communal..you've guessed it marble table, also tables outside. Prices aren't too bad considering it's location and the quality of the fit out. Lot's of Organic food. They have a butchers and flower shop nearby.

Yelp
A lovely place to visit, but rather pricey to buy. You wish that Daylesford Organics can run the local Sainsburys to make it more interesting. Great for locals and tourists alike. How often do you see real butchers (with meat hanging up), real bread and cakes being made, real cafe food anymore? Downside is that it is expensive and not really close to any tube (Victoria is about 10 minutes walk).
google avatar

Yelp
You've shopped at Jo Malone, Prada and Herve Leger, picked up that new handbag from Anya Hindmarch, and your driver has dropped you off in Pimlico Road. You get the picture....? Talk about pretentious! This place takes the overpriced biscuit. Mind you, not quite as pretentious as their "flagship" place in Gloucestershire, which I experienced about 2 year's ago. I can get better coffee in Sainsburys....

Yelp
Being a person who always cares what the food is made from, where the ingredients have grown and whether the methods are organic and sustainable or not, I struggled to find a restaurant that could satisfy all my criteria. Finally I've found Daylesford. Amazing food and service. I wrote a detailed review here https://llifestyleblog.wordpress.com/2015/02/27/straight-from-our-farm-to-your-fork-daylesford-restaurant-review/

Yelp
Bad News....A shadow of it's former self! My wife & I stopped by for lunch on our first day in town, and "WOW" what a let down. Daylesford has been on my good eats list since it opened a number of years ago. However on this visit the service was terrible...2 lost souls perpetually pecking away on the register, never venturing our way to check on our needs....; the food sub-standard.... my food served a good 10minutes after my wife's & when it arrived it resembled a bowl of over dressed weeds....; and to top it off a service charge included automatically in the bill to help subsidize the awful lunch we had just experienced. Thus, Daylesford has now been crossed of my London dining list. Way too many other options to consider & perhaps find the next Daylesford ( i.e. from back in the day). Cheers!

Pete S.

Yelp
I was taken to this cafe by a friend who told me it had the best burger she had ever eaten. I certainly couldn't say that but I really enjoyed it nonetheless. Whether you go for lunch or breakfast, the quality of the food is great and it's not actually as expensive as I thought it might be given the location. Crisp, clean interior and friendly staff. Recommended

Yelp
I definitely felt like I needed to bring my "posh" game to this place. Definitely a posh crowd enjoying brunch at tables under a large canopy and we sat at a lovely marble bar facing out which was all open air on a beautiful day. The yellowist of yellow runny/creamy eggs came out and the side of salmon was quite a treat--it was grade A. Definitely has a nice menu, although not a lot of food for the money, but I guess you are paying for the posh organic ingredients and space. I enjoyed poking around the shop, especially because they had samples at the pastry counter and the samples were very good. Overall, a nice, posh, organic place, but you pay the price.

Yelp
This is a great place for a lazy weekend breakfast. I have been a loyal customer for years and have always found the staff very attentive. The shop offers some lovely fare too, however expect to pay a lot more for the pleasure of organic farmed, responsibly-sourced food!

Yelp
My girl was feeling a little under the weather last night. I saw this place as I was whizzing back to the flat. They had a big case of fresh soups. I got the minestrone. It was a bit different from minestrone in the states..it was more like a vegetable soup with barley and chicken. It was BETTER than minestrone and totally hit the spot. Since today is our last day, I probably won't get to make it back but this organic market/cafe should be on your list! Very cool!!!

Susan T.

Yelp
I love Daylesford!! They have really great breakfast/brunch food. I apperciate organic foods and dont mind paying more to eat organic and local. The menu changes depending on what is available during the season. I went here for breakfast/lunch at least twice a week during the two years I lived in the neighbourhood. It's a place you can eat regularly and still enjoy. I would recommend to go there for Saturday lunch as you also get to enjoy the lovely Pimlico Road market. Some of my favourites: their coffee, honey cake, chocolate raspberry tart, pecan tart, grilled meats, eggs benedict or florentine, toast with jam (love thier jam!), they have great streaky bacon, fish dishes. You can get some pretty good premade foods(jn the meal deal) as well, they make really great meatballs, beet soup, cabbage and mash... If you want to sit outside for breakfast on a nice day, get there at 10am!

Yelp
What a delightful little market- the PERFECT stop for foodlovers and anything fresh/organic. I recommend their gloucester beef stew with ale and barley - mouthwatering, delicious goodness to go! Each bite was bursting with flavor and the meat was quite tender. Everything in this store looks fresh and gorgeously presented. Definitely a feel-good place to do your grocery shopping!

Yelp
It's beautiful, its bright, and very overpriced and caters to the well-heeled residents of Belgravia. But even I enjoyed popping in for the occasional liter of milk, baked goods, cheese, gourmet condiments, and prepared foods.

Yelp
Ok I know that Daylesford Organics is a bit of a scene and it is really annoying how they also sell totally overpriced Daylesford Organics bathroom cleaning spray but the actual cafe itself is quite lovely. Light and airy and filled with beautiful people it is not a bad place to be. I had the smoked mackrel salad and have to say it was brilliant. Lots of delicious pastries and macaroons as well to take away as a treat for later.

Yelp
I first heard of Daylesford when they collaborated with Wilderness Festival, where I thought they did a great job. However, when I had brunch here last weekend, it was a total disaster. Since we arrived at 12 PM, the breakfast stuff had already mostly stopped, so we each ordered a salad, which sets you back 11.50 each. I also had wanted chicken with mine, which the waiter totally forgot, but it was a blessing in disguise because it would have been another 10 pounds for that. The panzanella salad I had was also so awful. The bread was completely soggy, and all the vegetables looked and felt wilted. It was nowhere near enough food, and we both still felt peckish, so I ordered a fresh juice, and that was 6 pounds. During this whole time, I didn't manage to get any water, because the staff were never around and hadn't brought it around in the first instance. I can't think of a single enjoyable thing about this meal. The bright, airy interior looks like an Ottolenghi, but the food and service fail to even hold a candle.

Yelp
Quite pricey, but then this isn't the place you go for a cheap lunch! And the food doesn't disappoint - always fantastic soups, sandwiches, and cakes. The coffee is pretty good too and a lovely atmosphere. Full of yummy mummy's and the likes with a little too much breast feeding going on, but the food is top-notch which makes up for it! If you like your expensive organic fair, Daylesford is worth checking out.

Yelp
We are all for organic, amazing and fresh food. And honestly there is nothing wrong with the place. But I am afraid it is more image than reality. We were expecting great dairy products as we have experienced elsewhere in UK. Sadly the yogurt was gritty and and the butter was uninspired. When the butter from a local pub in Cambridge blows away the butter from the "organic natural" shop there is a small issue. When we ate outside for lunch the food was ok. The breakfast was fine, but there are better options elsewhere in the neighborhood. The coffee was not really that great. We also purchased a few items like milk and meat products from the shop. It was pretty much the same, nothing wrong, but nothing right either. Would not say it is not worth visiting, but I honestly can't recommend highly either.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food, over 70% sources from their local farm in the Cotswolds. I love that they serve organic and sustainable fresh products. The servers were all very friendly and it's a bonus that they have a market within the restaurant. 5 stars for sure.

Yelp
The food is tasty, the coffee is PERFECT, the staff are attentive, polite and helpful. The decor is beautiful, the supermarket is pricey but has a wide selection of food and produce. I love it. It's no longer a treat but a necessity :-)

Yelp
Just unpleasant. Poached eggs overcooked, not a bit of yolk wasn't hard. Kale undercooked. Useless service, she came back 10 mins after each order as she forgot what we ordered. When we asked what was the daily veg, she pointed to a board with another 10 dishes. It was kale, saying a 4 letter word too much to ask?? Super noisy, when cleaning the tables and the people washing dishes threw the cutlery to the floor at least 3 times in 1h. On Sundays, the kitchen closes at 3 and they remind you every 5 mins, making you feel you should leave. All staff looks annoyed and not wanting to be there. Shame.

Yelp
I live about a 2 minute walk from Daylesford and it has been an incredible addition to a neighbourhood which is surprisingly short of places to go for lunch and brunch. Breakfast here is my favourite indulgence, and it does a great varied menu that changes seasonally, relying on its own organic supplies. I would also highly recommend their afternoon tea with two scones which is very well priced. The tables are at the window in a bar form (recommended ) or on a large communal table - this can often be distracting as it's in the middle of the shop and you do have customers walking around constantly. They also do outside seating which is great for a summer's day brunch. Incredible range of fresh pastries and a salad bar, with a very well stocked cheese and meat counter to boot, alongside all their usual products. Upstairs is great for presents (teas, chocolates, organic cleaning products) while downstairs has the wine cellar. The two recent additions are the Daylesford butchers just over the road and their florist (which I find very overpriced) over the square. Great to pop by on a Saturday stroll through the area, always great service.

Yelp
Great little store on Pimlico near Sloane Square. Nice food. Little expensive but worth it. Check out the cheddar cheese as goats cheese - they are great. Worth the visit.
