"From the lighthouse and state park to the massive mini-golf course that’d give Happy Gilmore fits (with or without Chubbs), there are a lot of reasons you might find yourself in Barnegat Light. So you should know about Daymark, a year-round American spot from the people behind The Arlington that works for all kinds of dining situations. Come during brunch and get the fried oysters with syrupy grits or the breakfast burger (a pork roll, egg, and cheese on top of a patty). Or, stop by for Happy Hour (4-7pm every day) at the big, rectangular bar, or for dinner when there’s usually live music." - Matt Tervooren, Tonya Russell

Finally made it to daymark after wanting to come here forever and it did NOT disappoint. Came for lunch and got the burger, wings, and crab fingers. 10/10 will come back and order the crab fingers every time- they were AMAZING. Such a cool place.

Food was great! Loved the strawberry shortcake and the eggplant. Cocktails were creative as well Service was a bit weird. Food runner dropped the food offf without appropriate condiments or checking that we had utensils

We had our wedding there. The owners are hands on with the event and everything was amazing. The food was unbelievable!! The service was great. The drinks were great!! You are paying for quality food and service. No matter what you eat, it’s cooked to perfection (Steak, chicken, fish). Highly recommended

Had an amazing dinner at Daymark. We’re a big fan of oysters and the Delaware bay were so fresh. The crab claw apps were super tasty. Their Crab cakes are some of the best on LBI. And I had the halibut special with crusted potatoes and celery purée which was delightful. Also, they have good wines. Had the Castellucci Miano Bianco from Sicily which paired beautifully with the cuisine. Great experience and highly recommend!

Best local place for fresh oysters, always a local oyster and another East Coast. Great happy hour deals, usually opt for the oysters but order a non-happy hour drink. Cocktails are on-trend and delicious, great selection of drinks.

The Daymark missed the mark. Had reservations for 7:15 waited a short amount of time, so we had drinks at the bar. This was the best part of our experience. They were short staffed, so we waited for sometime before we saw our waitress. They were out of salmon, out of chicken, out of eggplant and out of rice. They switched out some ingredients, potatoes for rice, but potatoes were disappointing. Lacked flavor and were cold. The manager came over, but little was resolved. We were given a lot of excuses, understaffed, sister restaurant was closing for the season (waitress said perhaps they used some of the Daymark’s ingredients, really?), it’s Chowderfest weekend and we didn’t anticipate a large number of guests (really?). At the end, manager removed $26 from our bill. The bill was almost $200, not including over $60 for cocktails. Very disappointed. We have dined there in the past and had a good experience. Not sure we’ll be returning. Also, there was a wedding upstairs. Perhaps they had a full menu.

I’ve left hungry twice. First time, ordered salmon. Came burnt, sent it back, then received a new one, which was raw. It was the third time through, in which they finally cooked it correctly (after an hour.) Flash forward to my most recent experience, two days ago. Ordered the NY strip steak medium rare, a normal order, $40. Came dry and well done, and the outside burnt. Sent it back. Next one was raw, not rare, Raw… I’ve only sent two meals back in my life, and they were both here. You’d have better luck on the grill yourself. When you pay high prices, you expect high quality food, or hell even edible food. Drink & Service are great, but the kitchen just can’t keep up with the atmosphere and service. Also had the 14$ Manhatten clam chowder, delivered in a low bowl hazardously, that was basically tomato soup, but less flavorful. Unfortunately this is one of the few restaurants on this side of the island, so we root for this place. But after 5 visits, and consistent second chances, we will not be back until their kitchen can turn it around.

Typically good at Daymark. Tonight had not so good experience. Salmon and Rigatoni was not good. Too much onion in it and hardly any salmon. Expressed to waitress to take home leftover. She forgot, apologized but no offer to get me replacement- in top restaurants at least offer to replace. Otherwise food was good but pricey.
