This place is reliably great. Vibes are always chill and the food is so good. They offer a gluten free English muffin for us wheat free folks which is greatly appreciated. It’s also very good, soft bread! Matcha is solid as well. Such a neighborhood staple!

Very cute coffee / sandwich spot with reasonable prices and excellent baked goods. The penmanship on the menus is UNREAL!! Definitely recommend the sesame butterscotch cookie. Very yummy and interesting. Great texture. I appreciated that they have the option to turn any sandwich into a salad for the carb conscious.

Daytime has all of the pastries we loved to get from the blue stove, minus the pies, and plus a bunch of sweet and savory toasts as well as 10 breakfast sandwich options and 4 different granola options. Great atmosphere with Lakesteet Drive playing the entire time I was there, dried flowers and a couple disco balls as decor.

The best pastries in the neighbourhood! Coffee ok Edit: I stopped by for take away coffee at 3pm. I was the only customer in the shop. The barista stood watching while I tipped and didn’t start making the coffee until they were sure I had. I always tip but this was seriously gross behavior. Asking for the tip before you hand over the coffee makes no sense in the first place anyway but is for some reason common practice. At least don’t hound your customers while they oblige.

On a Friday morning every place on graham was packed! I eventually found a table at Daytime to meet my work friend. I ordered an oat milk latte which came out hastily. Prices were normal. Although I did not order anything besides coffee, my friend told me the food here is delicious. Moderate amount of places to work or sit. One thing to note is there is no public restroom.

I come here once a week for the bec on brioche or the smoke turkey bacon sandwich. At first I thought paying $12 for a sandwich is a little pricey and they’re kinda small. But it’s worth it and also surprisingly filling. I just wish they weren’t so good bc I want to try other things I’m just nervous it won’t hit to spot the same way… Edit: the savory oatmeal is pretty good. The bacon/ sunny side egg additions add necessary fat to the acidity of those pickled shallots. If you don’t get them, I’d ask for the shallots on the side.

The bread and cookie were dry and hard, like they were 2-3 days old. They just threw a big lump of avocado in the center of my sandwich instead of cutting + spreading it out. It’s sad when you go to a restaurant and feel you’d have been better off making the same food at home.

I really love coming to Daytime! They have great open faced toast, I especially love the mushroom toast, but they also have a good ricotta one. Their baked goods always look yummy, but I have yet to try one since I usually go during lunch. You can also do work here, but they don't have a bathroom so keep that in mind if you're wanting to work somewhere for a long time. The space itself is really beautiful, and the sunlight hits it just right in the afternoon. On a cold day its like a boost of energy and warmth.

Come for the great coffee and pastries stay for the solid breakfast and lunch options! This spot has the best BLT in the biz! The staff is full of kind humans who remember faces. The cafe is cute. The only issue is that there is no public restroom. So, that's a huge bummer when dining in.

There are tons of coffee shops throughout this area but I was on the hunt for a good cookie and this place definitely delivered. We ordered some lattes and a chocolate Chai Spiced Chocolate Crinkle Cookie and Sesame Cookie. Both were fresh and delicious. Everything else in the dessert display case also looked sooo good. They also have a large menu of breakfast items and lunch sandwiches that look really good!

Very mediocre food and terrible service. I really hoped for better for the neighborhood.

I stopped by as I was in the neighborhood and thought it looked cute. They have a bright and airy space, with some tables and bar stools to sit at. They have a small selection of goods you can buy to take home with you, along with a decent sized menu of both food and drink options. I got a grilled cheese with pepper jam and an iced chai with oat milk and both were pretty good. It wasn't too crowded when I went as I was able to snag a table right away, but I imagine this place could get rather crowded. Would definitely come back here again if in the area!

Our food took 20 minutes, but we only got 2 sandwiches. At the 15 mark, we politely asked if ours was coming and they said we were next. Then, a person who ordered well after us, was given their food. We then asked when ours was coming, and were met with extreme rudeness and poor excuses. Will never go back, there are way better coffees and sandwiches on any other street corner within a block radius. Addendum: It was to-go, it included salad, and they gave a singular spoon for 2 orders. They are an embarrassment.

Winter is coming and also a mad rush of new cafes in the neighborhood. This is Daytime's second location, their first near prospect park. They have taken over blue stove bakery. One of their bakers is still here as a baker tho! They have completely redid the inside. It's cute with random decorations that someone all meld together. Daytime is a cafe that also sells sandwiches, baked goods, and other provisions. I came for lunchtime and ordered their prosciutto and fig sammich with herb whipped ricotta, figs, preserved lemon and honey. It was a small lil sammich so if you're a big boy like me, you might need a second meal. The sandwich itself was satisfactory. More sweet than I expected but good nonetheless. It's a cute little shop worth checking out. I can't drink caffeine, but they have their own beans roasted in BK. Welcome to the hood!

I come here maybe twice a week on average. First I didn't want to check it out because I really liked the Blue Stove and didn't think Daytime could live up to that. I'm glad I changed my mind! Their baked goods are incredible!!! And for the weekend, they always bake something special and drool-worthy. They also have vegan options for baked goods. The coffee is really great too! For lunch, I really enjoy the white bean sandwich, arugula with blueberry salad (amazing dressing!), and the breakfast platter. Their multigrain bread is honestly one of the best! The staff is super friendly and I really appreciate how they try to remember your name. Overall, great addition to the neighborhood!

Very well put together and quality stop for breakfast eats and treats! Midway through the sticky buns we had to stop for a pic. Stop in !

I'm so happy to have Daytime in our neighborhood! We love the one by prospect park and go every time we are down there. The coffee is very good here. I live the cinnamon ginger latte! The breakfast sandwiches are also very good. Pro tip - ask them to put the sandwich on an everything croissant. It will change your world! Staff is very friends and make an effort to get to know you. There are a few benches outside if you are coming with your dog, and also a few spots to eat inside as well.

New spot in the neighborhood and I like their healthy sandwich options. Coffee is great and I would come back to try their other pastries options.

You have to do all your own table-waiting and bussing AND they also require you to use the (dirty and non-contactless) screen of shame that suggests a 20% tip. If there was any reason to think tips were fairly shared with the kitchen and dishwashing staff, who do the actual hard work, I'd feel a bit less insulted.

I miss the former occupant of this space, Blue Stove, but if it had to be replaced, I'm glad a place with equally delicious breakfast sandwiches came in! I do wish their baked good menu was slightly more extensive, and it'd be great if you could add protein to the salads.
