Google
5 stars for the layout of the place itself. 0 stars for the service. Walked in at 7am to an empty coffee house. Asked if they had a particular blend of coffee. They didn't. When I sat down to go work on my computer, I was stopped and told that I'm not allowed if I'm not buying something. I'm not sure if I was being profiled as homeless, or if this is just a policy to protect the coffee shop. Either way, I'm a paying customer who would've likely bought a 7 dollar latte at some point, and this place would've had my repeat business. I was forced to buy bottled, plastic water. And this interaction guarantees I will not spend a dime at this place again. The lone other customer who was deciding what she wanted to order, came over to me and said "I think you handled that really great. I almost walked out without buying anything after seeing that, but I'm on a time schedule and I have to meet someone right now, and I want my coffee" Oh and it looks like they have no free water station. The best part? The wifi stopped working for me 5 minutes into an important document, and the owner refused to do anything to help.

Remarkable Review

Google
First time trying this place. Hubby got the Red Eye and I got a blended chocolate chip drink. The Red eye cold coffee drink is NO JOKe!!! Talk about hair on ya chest! 😆 super strong if that’s what you’re needing at the time. The blended drink was yummy as well. Wasn’t too sweet or strong. Perfect mixture. Only downfall to this place is that the blended drinks can’t be dairy free as the powder base or all of them is made with milk and the drink sizes run a little smaller than were used to. Inside was clean and they had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The team was nice and fast.

Came here to do some work outside in the sun. Asked for the wifi password and she told me she wouldn't give it to me unless I purchased something. I forgot my wallet at home and was only intending on working so I understand and went outside to work with my Hotspot. The owner came outside and said I needed to leave and that it was private property. The other businesses around offered me to come hang out on their bench, so I did. I always come to this coffee spot. I even have dates here with colleges and friends. But after today I will not be back. Dissatisfied with the treatment I had today. Felt like a homeless person. I can't even work from outside of my home without spending a buck. Crazy!!!!

Google
I love this coffee. I try to come here every morning before going out to work sets my mind straight. The lady who runs it is super nice and seems like she works alone most of the time!

Google
Amazing coffee shop. Very quiet and peaceful place to sit and do some work. Outlets available all around the shop and the new reviver drinks are bussing. I usually just park at king Soopers while coming in here for some coffee.

Google
I got the cappuccino, and it was pretty good.

Google
Love! Was omw to Starbucks but saw this place and decided to check it out and so glad I did! The chocolate chip chiller hit the freaking spot. Will def be back.

Google
Good coffee and friendly service. They offer pastries and breakfast burritos as well. Free WiFi and clean bathrooms for customers is a plus, only parking is hard to find. The patio or sidewalk seating is a nice touch for those looking to spend their time slowly enjoying their coffee.

Yelp
I do really enjoy their lattes and frozen coffee drinks. The prices seem somewhat high and the system of flow is chaotic. Also, their bakery goods are tasty. The chai tea was almost completely sugar and had very little caffeine in it. I would not want to try that again.

Miguel C.

Yelp
Im pretty sure the coffee is Folgers, I've had Dazbog enough times to know that the coffee I was served isn't dazbog coffee, it tasted like cheap chemical coffee. Second, I asked for my pastries to be warmed, and I got them back still cold and I'm more than positive the chocolate in the chocolate croissant was not the regular chocolate but a gelatinous cheap chocolate filling, like for a doughnut. Very disappointed, I hope these things get addressed and solved.

Yelp
Horrible matcha. Tasted so gross and watery couldn't drink. Do not order their iced matcha, Just order coffee instead!

Yelp
I went to the DIA location near Gate B44. What a treat! It was 10 am and I needed coffee and a bite. I went into Smashburger and after sitting there for a few minutes and being ignored, I decided to go elsewhere. Dazbog was right outside. Not only did I receive an AMAZING cup of coffee, made with frothed milk without my asking for it, but I also ordered a breakfast sandwich. It wasn't microwaved! They toasted the inside of the roll and assembled the sandwich. I'm so happy that Smashburger didn't want my money! The people I interacted with, a cashier lady and two young gentlemen, were courteous and eager to help. They put a huge positive spin on my day. If so didn't already say it, the sandwich was delicious. This little spot gets 5-stars from me and I hope to see the Dazbog brothers again soon.

Yelp
This was recommended to me to grab some of the gluten free cinnamon coffee cake that is a product of Boulder. Great slice and a fair price. There are several tables outside to enjoy a sunny October day. Staff was nice. Place was very clean. My husband enjoys the coffee so much that I picked up several bags before I return back to the East coast.

Yelp
Meh. Not impressed and a bit disappointed. Ordered for delivery through DoorDash so I'd def recommend visiting in person instead. Can't speak on the service or ambience since I didn't personally experience it. I didn't like the burrito I ordered. It tasted like a frozen burrito that had just been microwaved. Coffee was okay- not terrible. Prices were great.. but you get what you pay for! Wouldn't return if I'm being honest. Just not the spot for me.

Yelp
This was really bad coffee, sorry to say. I got a vanilla latte with almond milk and everything was bad about it. Terrible taste; too thin for a latte (like the consistency of water). I took 2 sips and threw it out.
google avatar

Jaki M.

Yelp
I show up here often for a latte. The flavors are rich and the service is pretty fast. I recommend the smores latte with a shot of espresso.
google avatar

Yelp
Patio seating is great and dog friendly. The blended drink is so good. They also have great muffins and pastries. The owners are super nice and great service.

Yelp
This place has been really going down hill and its a shame because the location is perfect for a great neighborhood coffee shop. Staff is unfriendly, furniture is old, mugs are chipped, coffee is underwhelming... Also it has never made sense to me why they have such a weird/poor selection of bottled/canned drinks in their fridge. You would think for a coffee shop that has breakfast items, it would be logical to have a nice selection of juices for example, but no, they just basically have some gatorades and sparkling waters. Very strange.

Yelp
I stopped in this morning after a run around Cheesman for my first visit. I had an americano coffee and a toasted bagel with cream cheese. The coffee was very good - rich and dark. The bagel was surprisingly good. The service was friendly. Definitely recommend for a good local brew. There was outdoor shaded seating as well.

Yelp
Love the location and space to sit and chat with friends both inside/out. Also, nice place to get some work done. Would love to have brighter engagement from the staff and more consistently! Looking for that 'neighborhood' hospitality seeing as how this location exists in the heart of Cap Hill. Keep up the great work!

Yelp
$4.62 for 3 shots of espresso on ice? Won't be back. This place is wildly overpriced. It was empty when we were there. Now I see why.
google avatar

Yelp
The coffee is excellent as are the people of Dazbog all over denver and available beyond

Yelp
The owner let me walk in, wait by bathroom for five min, peeked their head around the corner at me and said nothing instead of saying that the restroom was only for customers. Why wouldn't they say anything and I would have bought something?? Not coffee bc it's horrible but a snack. The fact that they just let me stand there is rude.

Kent J.

Yelp
Wow, what's happening here. I know the last couple years were rough but.... Few places to sit and even less service. Went in to buy whole beans and was just stared at. What was a nice neighborhood anchor is but a pale ghost. Sad.

Gastly 忍 F.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful place, probably the best scenery and location a coffee shop could offer. I mean we've all seen those coffee shops and thought: "well that just does not belong there" with that said though the service is... quiet. That's all I will say about that and the coffee is mediocre.. I've made coffee from my own coffee pot that takes the cake compared to this coffee.

Emily R.

Yelp
Was meeting someone here and we sat down for a few minutes and literally got chased out by the person working for not ordering fast enough. So incredibly rude. Never coming here ever again

Yelp
I'm a bit of a coffeehouse hound. I am always on the lookout for coffeehouses that are a bit unique or offer some other element I love. First and foremost, I'm a vibe person. I primarily go places for their vibe quotient. And I love diversity. I love something different in my work environment. Keeps me from feeling stagnant. ANYWAY, one thing I also love at times, is to find a sunny coffee shop, or a coffee shop with different qualities of light. Artists and photographers can appreciate this, I think. While I enjoy Dazbog coffee in general, I particularly love the Dazbog on 9th and Downing. I did something different on my last visit connecting with a friend, and had the White Russian Chai! Gotta try, my friends, gotta try. And of course if I see a blackberry scone, I'm not going to turn it down. Both were delicious! To get to my opening statement, if you are looking for somewhat of a sunny spot mid-morning, this is your place! That was the icing on the cake. Coffee shops, be alerted, some of us crazy environmentally sensitive people get out of the house to work, not only to change up the scenery, but to get some sunshine! ! I'd forgotten how much I'd enjoyed this spot many moons ago, but I will most definitely be revisiting again soon! Staff is warm and friendly, too! That's a huge plus!

Yelp
This place has been here forever! I really love their tea selections... I remember walking past this place 15 years ago and seeing older gays hanging here. now I've matured and turned into those old gays sipping their teas outside

Matt K.

Yelp
Came in this morning at around 10:00 AM for a mocha. Place was deserted and now I know why. My Mocha Coffee was terrible and did not taste even close to a real Dazbog mocha tha I have had many times before. No wonder Thump coffee down the street was so busy
google avatar

Yelp
I've been to several Dazbog locations but this one is the most convient for me. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is perfect if you're working, reading, or trying to have a light conversation. None of the obnoxious noise that you experience at larger chain coffee shops. I've tried a few of their pastries and their coffee is always great.

Savannah M.

Yelp
Inconsistent. I order the same thing every-time I go and at this location sometimes it comes out perfect other times like today, it's nothing like my order. The rainforest should be blue and green not just blue... and typically ice comes with more that just a handful of cubes. Will probably come back but it's a bummer that it's not consistent.
google avatar

Yelp
Good coffee. Cute boys. Crappy wifi.

Yelp
I hate to say it, but Dazbog has kind of become my go-to place for coffee meetings. I'm probably in and out a few times a month. Strangely, I'm off the coffee, but tend to order teas and chais. If you don't mind the road work that's going on right now, hang on the patio and enjoy the people watching (Queen Soopers is across the street.) Service is generally pretty fast at this location, but it depends on who's behind the counter whether you'll get a smile with your order. Also, I'm a fan of their breakfast burritos, and although I'm trying to avoid all those carbs, they stock a pretty good pastry selection. Note: using the restroom? Door keys are attached to PVC pipes next to the counter. Also, they have an ATM.
google avatar

Lyle B.

Yelp
I am honestly surprised this place is still open. Not sure, maybe they're a front for the Russian mob. The staff members go out of their way to be unnecessarily rude. Like they get a bonus at the end of the day for placing your credit card down on the counter and stare you down, until you reach over and pick it up. If you happen to order while the staff are discussing their weekend plans; shame on you. Most vertical surfaces have signs shaming you for being a bad customer. "No napkins here!" "no stir sticks here!" It's like a coffee house being run in a daycare center. I would say that hopefully this place will close soon, and a decent coffee place will take their place; but, since they're just a front to launder Russian mob money, I guess Capital Hill will have this terrible shadow of a coffee place for a long time.
google avatar

Tasnim K.

Yelp
this place is by no means the worst coffee place i've ever been to, but it's also not the best. i came here w my friends while visiting denver, and i thought the idea of having a russian themed cafe was really funny, yet unique. i walked in, and there was some interesting decor, such as clocks for both denver and moscow, and "russian" themed posters / drinks. i got a matcha latte, and to be honest, it was one of the most underwhelming drinks i've ever had. the matcha tasted bland, and didn't have much flavor or flair about it. it was nice to give this denver based place a try, but i don't think i'll be coming back here anytime soon.
google avatar

Allie S.

Yelp
Convenient coffee shop located across the street from King Soopers. You find the same quality drinks and just average quality pastries than at other Dazbog's in town. However, customer service is great, lines are short, and it is a much better alternative than the nearby busy Starbucks.
google avatar

Tamara M.

Yelp
I love the location in cap hill but the customer service in cherry creek is awful! Such rude and unfriendly staff. I love the pumpkin/chocolate bread but I'll never go back to the cherry creek location.
google avatar

Evan A.

Yelp
Still like this location. Coffee still good. People still nice. Parking is always easy to find. Only downfall...internet. Came here twice the past week and their WIFI is all over the place either working or cuts out. Boo.
google avatar

Rebecca M.

Yelp
Great location, friendly service, great coffee and free wifi.. perhaps my favorite thing about this location is the group of elderly gentleman who congregate and read the paper while sipping their coffee in the mornings. It makes me miss my grandfather and feel nostalgic.
google avatar

Samuel B.

Yelp
Mediocre flavor, not much else to say. Sugar can't cover badly roasted beans.
google avatar

Aidan G.

Yelp
The staff at this location have always been very friendly to me. Their pastries and coffee are delicious, never had a problem here.
google avatar

Madeleine L.

Yelp
Not only is their coffee delicious, but their customer service is beyond wonderful. I stepped on some glass on the sidewalk (not their property) and walked into Dazbog very freaked out and bleeding. The two men working behind the counter (Wednesday, August 1st, AM) were extremely kind and helpful. They lent me first aid supplies, cleaned up the glass (again, not on their property) and poured me a cup of coffee. They went above and beyond and I'm very grateful. Thank you for the coffee and the kindness!
google avatar

Meredith C.

Yelp
The staff are fabulous and really down to earth, they remember your name every time. The drinks I order are exactly what I expect, thank you guys! #killinit
google avatar

Kim R.

Yelp
This place stinks like dog pee. But I love the flavor of Dazbog coffee so I just get it to go. So if you're sensitive to smells just a fair warning to sit on the patio!
google avatar

Frances H.

Yelp
As far as coffee shops go, this joint is just fine by me. It provides tasty coffee at a tasty price. The service is incredibly friendly, and though I understand limiting the access to the public bathroom, but waiting with a full bladder to bashfully ask for keys to the ladies room is not necessarily what I had in mind to accompany my coffee time. Seating is ample, but not what you call comfy or inviting. In their defense, it's clear they aren't trying to be a cozy, vintage style coffee shop. On the flip side, when you are in the focused mood to get some serious work done; this is the place to do it. I will definitely return to Dazbog for delicious brewed beans and will take into account what kind of 'work mood' I'm in.
google avatar

Marilyn E.

Yelp
"God gives/allows" (I had the cyrillic script here but I guess yelp doesn't allow that :-( Daz? No, Das Bog! Anyways, I'm majoring in Russian and when I entered and ordered a White mocha, I was reading the cups and was like, It's RUSSIAN! So it's pronounced DaSSSS Bog, not Dazzzz. Aside from that, the place was full today, the coffee was good along with the danish I ordered. Great service, love the location and I seriously can't wait for summer to roll around just so I can sit outside and enjoy my coffee and hang out with friends. It's affordable, good prices great atmosphere and gay trendy.
google avatar

David P.

Yelp
I'm so used to Starbucks that I'm kinda out of sorts here. Not THEIR fault. Good staff, clean restrooms (have to get a key, but it's easily placed), interesting environment and a good menu of drinks and food keep me coming back. On street parking is essential here (Don't be tempted to park in the King Soopers lot -- they have wicked parking trolls protective of their cement real estate). Dazbog is a nice coffee shop. Worth the visit.
google avatar

Alex W.

Yelp
I'm sure the nice staff would listen to any issues people had about fellow patrons looking up porn, smoking areas, and homeless harassment if people would say something to the management rather than posting indignant yelp reviews. Really nice staff. I worked here for long amounts of time and would eat breakfast and lunch when I first moved to town and didn't have internet because of delays from Comcast. Clean place, decent coffee, not overly loud and definitely not the bullshit attitude you get from baristas at some other local places.
google avatar

Michael P.

Yelp
I have a confession: Dazbog isn't my favorite coffee. I'm probably going to coffee hell - but at least I got it off my chest. But since moving over to my new apartment, when I need a place that is open relatively late, has space, nice eye candy (most of the time), and something nice to drink and/or eat to get out - I like to choose this place. I like the gay vibe - its fun. Not so much into the crazies that sometimes pop in and out. Or the people that sit there.all.damn.day. And talk to themselves. Loundly. Like someone is listening. (And don't order) I feel bad for their employees sometimes because of this :( So overall it can be hit or miss in terms of how busy it is or if there are cute boys to watch (or some 'effing cute dogs too!), but I most certainly am a fan. (Note: I do like their other location- the one on 12th- maybe even a tad more cause its closer to me-but its hours suck hardcore. They are unpredictable and they are never open past like 2pm it seems. Grr. )
google avatar

Rebecca F.

Yelp
I live super close to this Dazbog location and I'm a very loyal customer. Even though they have some stiff competition with the Einstein's Bagels and Starbucks right across the street, they're much better. Starbucks is over-priced as well as not being the best tasting. Dazbog is way better in that category. The staff are always friendly and willing to help explain if necessary. I've had a very random amount of items here, but I've always been satisfied with them. I can honestly say that I've never had anything here that I didn't like, which is awesome. The prices are good as well, I never spend over $4 for a medium-sized coffee/specialty drink. I will definitely always be coming back as long as I live in this area!
google avatar

Kevin D.

Yelp
The staff was nice. Coffee Quality... not so much. However my experience could have been better if I had not been sitting next to a creeper who was on a gay hook up web page. As I am trying to finish my deadline for work I also got many glances of naked men from his computer screen. As I could feel the creeper, creeping on me. I felt I should move spots. As I am sitting away from others with many open spots in the store, a young homeless women felt is okay to come sit right next to me. As she played with her iPad (homeless and iPads don't usually mix) but who am I to judge. She kept trying to talk to me I had to explain to her I have a very important deadline to meet. I normally would be working from home, however my internet was down. I would recommend if you want a chill place to do some work or have coffee without the same kind of crowd. I'd recommend St. Marks Coffee. Chill, Fun, Young to Older crowed. Usually people with a life and things to do. Never in my life would I see someone looking of a hookup there.

Yelp
Right up front, it's only fair to admit I almost never get coffee at Dazbog. I'm there for the free WiFi. And sure, that might make it kinda strange that I'm doing a coffeehouse review. But while I can't speak for most of the products, I do spend a lot of time at this particular Dazbog and I'm always treated great. I have gotten just a regular coffee on a few occasions, and it's fine. More often I'll get a Vitamin Water or a Diet Coke. With the latter, the baristas are always quick to offer a cup filled with ice, which I appreciate. I'm the type to spend several hours working on my netbook at a coffeeshop, while maybe buying a couple of cheap beverages over that span. But Dazbog's staff has no problem with that whatsoever. (I do tip at least a buck or two, depending on how often I'm there or ask for the bathroom key.) The staff at the 9th and Downing coffeehouse is really friendly, down to every single person. I haven't interacted with one who's not cool and personable. Like I said, I can't speak for the snacks or the lattes, but Dazbog's customer service has been excellent every time I've been in. --Rick Gershman

Yelp
I really love this store for the people that work there. Derek is a riot, Michael is a sweet heart, and Vince is pretty awesome too. Chillers are great for hot summer days and they never have a problem letting you get crazy with flavored syrup combinations (i.e. Vanilla Bean Chiller w/ cherry and almond or Chai Chiller w/ a shot of espresso... MMM!!) I also love their Iced Americano or Iced Red Eye White Night. The only thing I really don't like there is the tea. The bag is always awkward and messy and the tea always tastes over-steeped even if you leave it in for about a minute. Their food is pretty good. Breggo's are fantastic, and they just changed the type of breakfast burritos they get and I really like the new ones. Other than that they have your general pastry/bagel fare. Good location. Good employees. If you're a guy, prepare to be undressed with the eyes of 90% of the other patrons.

Yelp
So sad to visit a place that I used to love going when I lived in Denver that has gone to crap. The coffee was still good, but one guy behind the counter, who I think was some sort of manager, was talking really loudly about his night. Thats fine, but what really got me was that here he is, at work, representing a company, and in front of customers cussing up a storm and texting on his phone. The unprofessional behavior was annoying and disappointing.

Yelp
Two words: fourberry smoothie. Seriously, talk about some d-lish drinks at this Dazbog. Ok, so maybe they have the same stuff at every location but this one is in da hood. It's close, it's easy, it's open for a good chunk of the day so you can get you some stuff done. I think each and every chair in this place is made out of wood which means it's not made for comfort. But, at least there is plenty of room for reading, writing and people watching. There's not one but TWO patios for your outdoor seating enjoyment. Boom! There's a decent selection of munchies including burritos, cookies and muffins. As I am not a coffee drinker I can't comment on that but the teas are always solid and as stated above the smoothies are where it's at! For the most par service is efficient although I have encountered a few scatter brained baristas. So they forgot what they were doing - is that cause to call the National Guard or bash them on Yelp? Nope, I'll just detract one little star. As a local hang out for those of us who like to live in the midst of the world this is a solid place to do so. I like to read the crazy postings on the bulletin board by the bathrooms. If nothing else you'll know where you can get guitar lessons.
google avatar

Jessica J.

Yelp
This place has everything a good coffee shop should have: great location, decent lighting, LOTS of seating, nice baristas. I visited this location last night while waiting for a friend in the area to get off work. Thru the window, I could see that the place was busy, and I was sure I'd never find a seat. Much to my surprise, I got a seat right by the window, where I could people watch! Since it was evening, I avoided the caffeine beverages and ordered a hot cocoa. I was quite impressed. Most of the time when you get hot cocoa at a coffee shop, they make it with a powder, and you can tell. This was the smoothest and creamiest hot cocoa I've ever had. It was rich, and sweet, but not too sweet. All in all, the perfect cup of cocoa. I can't wait to come back and try their coffee, and maybe a smoothie!

Yelp
Best espresso in Denver. Seriously. Great setting with Parisian sidewalk cafe vibe. Very friendly staff and decent pastry selection.
