At the quieter end of Gay Street downtown is Dazzo’s Pizza. Don’t let this hidden gem be forgotten. Their pizza is excellent. We have visited many time and enjoyed it before and after shows, during a weekend strolling around and have even opted for their to-go choice. This particular day we came in early for dinner. We enjoyed their delicious garlic knots (highly recommended) before ordering a large meat lovers pizza (we added pesto to the top). Incredibly delicious and plenty for two people. They do offer wine and beer but we opted for soda and tea. Don’t forget the dessert choices if you have the space! Please come and enjoy this local Knoxville gem. You will not be disappointed! You may end up seeing a musician or two (like we did) enjoying a meal ahead of their show! And, spot your favorite concert poster on the walls.

We found this little gem while driving around looking for something new to eat while in town to move our son in at UT. Such a great find!! It has the old school, real pizzeria feel when you walk in. Our waitress so nice and helpful. The food! We decided to try a variety of things. The garlic knots were to die for! Dangerously good! The bruschetta wasn’t the typical flavors but possibly the best we’ve had! The pizza was so good that I forgot to get a picture! We had the meatball pizza and Knox Patch pizza. Both were great! The flavor combinations were spot on and the crust was perfect! We will definitely be back!!

My wife and I had an amazing experience at Dazzo’s Pizzeria. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and fast. The pizza was absolutely delicious—hot, fresh, and made with quality ingredients. The crust was just right—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and not soggy at all. You can really tell they take pride in their craft. The atmosphere was great, too, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend and will definitely back!

Google
I love a little divey Italian/pizza place, and Dazzo's delivers everything you could want! The garlic knots and pizza were fantastic, just the right amount of crispy with delicious, savory flavors. The service was delightfully laid-back, yet attentive and helpful.

Google
Friendly and fast service for only two guys working. We had good Greek and house salads and tasty Hawaiian pizza. The spaghetti has a little spice in it that was somewhat overwhelming for our daughter but she ate it all with the help of her friend so they did like it with a good amount of Parmesan cheese. We would definitely eat here again.

Google
We love Dazzos. Their pizza and garlic knots are top notch. The staff is always friendly. Plus they are one of rhe few places open late downtown. Give them a shot. You won't be disappointed.

Google
In what world does it take over an hour to make a 10" pizza? Maybe the kids from the vape shop stumbled over and picked up a shift... Terrible service and unappealing food. Attached pic shows "Best Pizza in Knoxville." Watch out John Schnatter! But at least we were offered refills... Dry meatballs paired with room temperature ricotta. The edges thought about getting crisp, but the bottom screams frozen. One of the worst pizzas I have ever tried. Not sure what was more disappointing, the frozen pie or the abysmal customer service. Don't waste your time or money. Do yourself a favor and walk 2 blocks in any direction.

Google
Even though the dough got a little soggy because they put so much sauce, cheese, and toppings, it was so good. Pizza is not my favorite but it was good. Lasagna was good also but wished they put meatballs in between with the sauce and not on top. Meatball itself was good. It had a little kick to it at the end which was great! The restaurant itself was small and seating is limited. One thing though, they really need to clean the bathroom. Women's bathroom toilet was so filthy. All the staff were very friendly. They also give military discounts!

Yelp
An absolutely pleasant pizza place. I like how it reminds me of the pizza joint from Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, in that way it has that familiar & nostalgic vibe. The wait & kitchen staff are on point. Another establishment with a chill relaxing environment.
google avatar

Yelp
Love the local dive pizza joint. Right on Gay St so very easy place to eat before an event downtown. Love the flavor and service here. Across the street from Bijou and one block down from Tennessee Theater. Plenty of seating for a smaller spot. GameDay for football can be crowded so plan to get in early on those days. Other events do not have as long of a wait and faster than most anything else on Gay St. great pizza and sides.

Yelp
First time trying out pizza in Knoxville and let me tell you THIS is the place I got the veggie pizza and traditional buffalo wings and both were such a 10/10! The service is incredible. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and seated at a table. The cozy interior with comfy seating really sold it for me!! I'm going to try the calzone the next time I'm in. And please don't pass up the buffalo wings they were perfectly seasoned.
google avatar

Terry M.

Yelp
Basic ambience, but the food was good. I ordered a calzone with mushrooms and sausage. I was happy to see Milo's lemonade as a drink option. The calzone was piping, hot, cheesy, and with the marinara dipping sauce included was very tasty. The calzone was filling without being heavy. It was a really good choice. A nice, no-frills pizza experience.

Yelp
We stopped in at 6pm on a Saturday. It filled up with a soccer team 20 minutes after we got there, which totally packed the small restaurant. Several tables were still dirty from previous patrons when we walked in, but it looked like the woman taking orders was the only one working the front. She was pleasant and we settled on a small margarita pizza and a large ultra supreme. Pizzas took a usual amount of time. They were ok. Not amazing, but not bad, either. The ingredients were fresh and the dough was ok. Pretty limp on the supreme pizza, which is not unusual for so many toppings. We wanted to try someplace we hadn't been to before, and we did. I doubt we'll make any kind of special trip back, but it would be convenient for taking in a show at the Bijou across the street.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! I've been coming to dazzo's for years and Aubrey runs a very fine business. I've gotten a drink every night for months and every time I come in I feel special. Aubrey always greets me, jokes around ask me how I am, if you want to feel at home come to dazzo's! There's no place I would rather take my business at all. Five stars everyday.
google avatar

Zachary D.

Yelp
This place has the best buffalo wings I have ever eaten. Ofc the buffalo sauce is stronger in your nose than in your mouth. They're still goated. Service is great also. Don't even get me started on the ambiance. It's great.

Yelp
New owners and this place is delicious. We had not been here in years but this was the first red my husband and kids went to together when we first met so we took the kids and they loved it. They thought the garlic knots and fried ravioli were yummy and the grilled cheese pizza was the best. The servers are super nice and the owner came over to chat with us as well. The whole vibe is relaxing and there are lots of music posters on the wall so it's pretty chill. We will have to try to make it downtown to visit more. Definitely go if you like cheese and pizza, our girls recommend it! They tell everyone about the delicious grilled cheese pizza they had at Dazzo's. Haha.

Yelp
Great pizza, nice staff. What more could you want? I get most of my orders delivered from GH. My pizza is always hot, fresh and exactly what I ordered. I love the cheese mounds & basil sauce. Such good pizza.

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
Love Dazzos! Food is great. Service is great. Prices are good. As a local living nearby it's my favorite local pizza spot. Anne is amazing, she was so sweet to me and my partner and provided amazing service . 10/10
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
It certainly wasn't NY style pizza, but it did the trick. Sauce has a unique and good flavor. The dough seemed a bit bland. Great service and friendly staff. For TN pizza it seems to be a win.
google avatar

Terri M.

Yelp
I ordered the lasagna because the picture looked really good. There isnt much open after 5pm for some reason around here. It was $17.47 for the lasagna, a couple parking spots nearby. (Don't park on valet area) The lasagna tasted like they used non-cook or oven ready noodles that weren't cooked prior or at all. So most of it went into the trash.
google avatar

Emily W.

Yelp
Pizza was authentic NY Style: we ordered the Caesar salad which was legit, Boneless Wings that were teenager boy approved, the Knox Pizza was delicious, and the meat lovers pizza. We dined sufficiently.
google avatar

Jashka D.

Yelp
I love this place. Pizza was amazing!!! I loved the concert posters on the walls . Sooo good food !

Jack D.

Yelp
The service was awesome. I ordered a Margherita pizza, and fried pickles I would say for the price doesn't worth that much. The pizza was OK but the fried pickles were really good.
google avatar

Chip P.

Yelp
Pizza was very good. Suggest the garlic butter sauce for your base. Really good! Staff are friendly, but not the most attentive. The restaurant is small and seating might be limited on high volume dates.

Yelp
Dazzo's hits the spot when you are hangry. A local Italian restaurant that serves made from scratch pizza. I would recommend take out because there was not a lot of service. Let me preface this by saying we were at a huge festival and they seemed to have a steady business. The decor is cute red checker cloth and is comfortable. I liked the music. There is not a lot of beverages available and they are all in cans. So depending on what you enjoy with your pie there are limited choices. See above recommendation to go. They took our order and the made from scratch pizza seemed to come out in reasonable time. They also serve subs, calzones and pasta. It was the middle of the afternoon and we did enjoy our meal. Decent crust and sauce for New York style pizza. Dazzo's is a clean restaurant and the booths had plenty of room. The staff was nice for the limited service provided. I would order from here again... to go.

Yelp
Best eggplant hoagie and pizza in town! Service was good and staff was cool. Will be back very soon, I crave the eggplant hoagie.
google avatar

Yelp
Waited an hour for one pizza because the kid in the orange hoodie forgot to put my pizza in the oven. Literally watched the dude make himself a pizza. And then my pizza was half assed made. The kids who work here have shitty attitudes and are rude af. Save ur money

Troy K.

Yelp
Best pizza in the south. You can always stop by for a slice or more. Everything on the menu is delicious.

Gregg M.

Yelp
Pizza was just OK. No flavor to speak of. The fried ravioli WAS NOT fried and was rubbery. Expected better for Gay St.
google avatar

Riley S.

Yelp
Nice little local spot with amazing food. The people are really nice and attentive. We got the Caesar salad, garlic knots, and b.y.o. pizza for under $40. Good price and great food

Zak W.

Yelp
The service was timely. The meat lovers pizza was delicious and came out in good time.
google avatar

Klaire L.

Yelp
I got the 14inch supreme pizza and it was perfect to split between 2 people. The crust was perfectly crunchy for the first 10 minutes then gets soggy. The tiramisu is the best and a must try. The inside was clean and cozy. Natalie the waitress is amazing.

Lisa M.

Yelp
Visiting from out of town! Conveniently located to walk from hotels! Excellent pizza! So good, we went a second time for late night snack! Got the Knox pizza & meat lovers!

Hannah K.

Yelp
It had been a long time since I ate at Dazzo's, and I remembered it being good. I was disappointed. I ordered a pesto and chicken pizza with olive oil base and my husband ordered a meat pizza with normal tomato sauce, and we also got the garlic knots. Y'all, both our stomachs are wrecked so badly today that we threw out the rest of the pizza. It was not very tasty, and it was WAY too greasy. I'm still going back and forth to the bathroom. Ugh. Don't recommend them.
google avatar

Joe B.

Yelp
Completely wrong order and no answer of the phones. Ordered baked chicken parm pasta and got someone's sandwich

Yelp
When I walked into this little pizza place, I hoped I had found a local gem. Unfortunately, although the server was exceptionally friendly and wonderful, the food left much to be desired. After walking in for the first time and thinking we might have stumbled onto a new favorite local pizza joint, my girlfriend and I decided to taste-test a variety of menu options. We started out with the Dazzo's Famous Garlic Knots, and although they did swim in quite a bit of butter, I will say that this was the one item we ordered that did taste quite good and I would recommend. The server highly recommended the Pizza Fries so we ordered those on her recommendation, but the fries were undercooked and very bland. We ordered the Fettuccine Florentine, which wasn't bad, but also, unfortunately lacked seasoning. The Dazzo's Famous Manicotti was very disappointing unfortunately. The crepe was made nicely, but the manicotti was undercooked, and the ricotta inside was cold. We ordered the Chicken Parmesan Hero, and the bread was quite good and crispy. Also, the meatballs were tasty and well-seasoned. The chicken, however, tasted a bit overcooked and bland. We finished up our time at Dazzo's with the Dazzo's Supreme Pizza on recommendation of our server, and unfortunately, the pizza came out burnt, and the dough was soggy and wet, with the pizza falling apart in the middle in most of the slices. Again, I will give compliments to our server who was incredibly kind and friendly and made our experience very enjoyable overall. I truly was hoping that the food would have been a home run, as I was hoping to have found my new favorite local pizza spot, especially because the decor and environment was so reminiscent of an authentic NY pizza establishment. I'll probably try this place again in the future, if nothing else just because the service and environment were so nice, but sadly, the food was very dissapointing this first visit.

Caila H.

Yelp
Extremely disappointed. Ordered a pepperoni pizza. Didn't think it would take over an hour and a half. Also, asked multiple times how long the order would take and the only answer we got was they were "working on it." "Working on it" was an hour and still the pizza was not even made and all we could get was "we're swamped". Giving 1 Star because paid for a pizza we never got because employees could not be truthful with us on a timeline until we asked for the 10th time over an hour later. Ended up leaving because it was late and we had a drive home and thought waiting another hour for a pepperoni pizza is ridiculous.

Yelp
We wanted to try out a new pizza place and I was surprisingly glad we did. We ordered the Knox Patch Pie (goat cheese is my favorite pizza topping) and a pineapple with grilled chicken pizza. Both were amazing: incredibly fresh toppings, the perfect thin crust that wasn't soggy or too crispy. The food was top notch, but we weren't waited on much after the pizzas were dropped off and had to go up to the counter to get refills and whatnot. It was a Saturday between the lunch and dinner rushes though, so I'm sure it had been a rough day for the staff and they were very kind when we could get them! All in all, absolutely try Dazzo's if you enjoy quality pizza!

Yelp
Good pizza and friendly staff. By the slice is available until 4pm. Located downtown with walking distance from market square.
google avatar

Molly J.

Yelp
This is a somewhat decent local pizza stop. Extra casual, seat yourself- you have to figure that out for yourself because they may not greet you when you enter. They seemed to be short at least one server, but the two who were working were doing the best they could. We got can beers- because that's pretty much all they have. No draft. Bare basic beer selection. Our salad "small" salads were actually a pretty large size and basic but good. 12inch pizza was enough to fill up 2 of us along with our small salads. The supreme pizza was really good. The toppings were nice and flavorful. The crust was thin although a bit soggy. Fork & knife were mandatory. Daughter got fettuccine Alfredo and it was the most basic fettuccine Alfredo I've ever tasted. I think they forgot to salt the pasta water? But it was a huge portion. Overall, I would eat here again if in a pinch, but I wouldn't seek it out specifically.
google avatar

Trisha F.

Yelp
Omg if you haven't tried this place why not ? Their lasagna is made to order and get the meatball. So yummy and everyone is so delightful!
google avatar

Diane R.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick bite before a show at the Bjou. Ordered a margarita pizza. it was delicious! The crust was one of the best we've had . Will definitely go back!

Aidan K.

Yelp
This place is trying. Pretty small place looks like they could have good food. Fries had no seasoning though and were really bland. Service was not that good. Our food didn't come out for over an hour so we had to take it to go. I understand all the responses that relate to slow service. I think if the service improved this place could be significantly better.

Pamela O.

Yelp
First time eating here and the food was excellent and the server was awesome. We got chicken wings and cheesy bread for appetizers and a medium pizza and all of it was delicious. The environment was great. Really nice place to eat. We went in January 4th around 12:30pm.
google avatar

Stu K.

Yelp
The wife was looking for a good gluten-free pizza. The GF pizza is great. I took a chance and ordered a Sicilian pie. All I have to say is best pizza I've had in quite sometime. Absolutely recommend Dazzo's. Great service and great food!!!

Wesley J.

Yelp
This place is so cool.!.! Not the first time and will not be the last. The fresh smell of quality pizza that smacks you pleasantly as you walk in should tell you it's gonna be good. The live music posters of varying genres all around are a cool addition to the Knoxville vibe. the pizza is delicious what a treat indeed!! great location and super friendly staff also.
google avatar

Andrea W.

Yelp
Great innovative pizzas. Every pizza I've had at Dazzo's has been amazing. Consistently great. Great artwork too!

Alexis O.

Yelp
Service was very nice however my garlic knots were completely raw in the middle and I couldn't eat half the order of them.
google avatar

Rodd S.

Yelp
While staying in Knoxville I found this place walking distance from my hotel. Gave it a shot and was more than happy with my choice. Old school pizza joint with a ton of character. The pizzza had great crust with quality ingredients baked perfectly.
google avatar

Nicholas T.

Yelp
If Arnold ate hear he would probably say "I'll be back," so why would I not say the same? This place has a story to tell and I want to hear it but I was only here for about 15 minutes! My slice was so good and I ate eat so quickly I didn't have a chance to take a photo of the pizza. We all know sometimes our lunch breaks do not last as long as we want but if you're on this strip and strapped for time Dazzo's will get you in and out without all the fuss. I didn't know Steven when I walked in but after taking my order I immediately wanted to hang out with this guy. The staff is genuine, not afraid to laugh and gets the job done! Well done Dazzo's! I'll be back.
google avatar

Kat P.

Yelp
My sister and I stopped in here on a Thursday night. It was one of the only restaurants that stayed open late in the area. We shared the spaghetti and a supreme pizza. The food was delicious! Spaghetti was great, but the pizza was the way to go! You can tell Dazzo's crust and pizza sauce is homemade! One of the better pizzerias I've been to in Knoxville. An unexpected, hidden gem.
google avatar

Douglas P.

Yelp
This place was a chance occurrence for me given I'm still trying to find the good spurs in Knoxville since recently moving here. But it felt like I hit the jackpot. I had an eggplant calzone that was out of this world. Fried breaded eggplant inside a calzone might sound ridiculous but it was carb heaven for a guy that tries to stay under a certain number of them usually. My cheat day thanks everyone who works there. I'm definitely be coming back for more and to try some other menu offerings. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Antoine W.

Yelp
While visiting Knoxville we ordered from this establishment based upon their reviews. They did not disappoint. We were one of the best pizzas we have eaten in awhile.
google avatar

Chasity A.

Yelp
Great little pizza joint. Quick, decent service. One of the best pizza crusts I have ever tasted.

Glenn V.

Yelp
If you want good pizza, this is a great place to order take out from. I've eaten it maybe a dozen times and it does not disappoint. However, on the few occasions that I've eaten in, the service has been just terrible. The staff (which is pretty consistent) will absolutely complain about you being there, and is also quick to get verbally combative. Again, good pizza, but terrible service. Just take it to go.

William C.

Yelp
The first time I tried this pizza, I thought this was the best. Today it absolutely sucked. When you order a pepperoni pizza, how the Fk do you forget to add the pepperoni? Half done, tried to add pepperoni after pizza was served. Staff didn't know if it was daylight outside. I ended up paying $41 for a half cooked, fk'd up pizza. Look at other places

Tom M.

Yelp
Jumbo margarita pizza was good. Apps were a bit of a let down, garlic knots small and not as flavorful as we would like. Would steer clear of the fried pickles, they tasted burnt and greasy and couldn't even taste the pickles.
