D.B.A. BBQ Opens in the Former Greater Good BBQ Space on Roswell Road in Buckhead - Eater Atlanta

"Later this year, D.B.A. owner Matt Coggins plans to open a third location in Clarkston called D.B.A. Tacos and BBQ. It includes a drive-thru window. Taking over a former Taco Bell and KFC on East Ponce de Leon Avenue, this location will be mostly takeout service and serve both smoked meat tacos, as well as D.B.A. barbecue plates and sandwiches. Look for tacos featuring brisket, smoked chicken, and goat birria and four different salsas in Clarkston." - Beth McKibben

D.B.A. Sandwich Company Takeout Restaurant Opens at Irwin Street Market in Old Fourth Ward, Atlanta - Eater Atlanta

"A new sandwich shop from D.B.A. Barbecue opens Wednesday, December 30, at Irwin Street Market in the Old Fourth Ward. Called D.B.A. Sandwich Company, the shop takes over the former Academy Coffee kiosk at the market and serves the Virginia-Highland barbecue restaurant’s most popular sandwiches. Owner Matt Coggin plans to run the sandwich counter as a takeout operation with just three employees. The Irwin Street Market menu features nine sandwiches, including pulled pork, chopped brisket, and a Cuban, Brunswick stew, sides like mac and cheese, and snacks, such as D.B.A.’s pimento cheese with Alabama fire crackers. “We opened DBA Barbecue in February 2009, in the height of the recession, and now we’re opening DBA Sandwich Company during a worldwide pandemic,” Coggin writes in a press release. “Last year on New Year’s Eve, the entire front of DBA Barbecue fell off into the parking lot, rendering our entrance unusable for several days. A year to-the-day, we’re opening our new restaurant. I guess tough times are kind of our most fortuitous times, and opening DBA Sandwich Company is a nice way to book-end the year.” For its opening on Wednesday, the sandwich counter plans to offer a New Year’s Day special featuring a slider version of its pulled pork sandwich served with a side of collards and black eye peas. D.B.A. Sandwich Company joins Glide Pizza and Jake’s Ice Cream at Irwin Street Market." - Beth McKibben

Really enjoyed eating here. They have some really good food. I had a chicken, pork and a brisket taco. They all slapped, i think the pork was my favorite. For sandwiches I split the chopped brisket on Texas Toast, the spicy southern italian and the cuban. We also each had a mac & cheese. I’ll rank sandwiches in order of my favorite, 1. brisket, 2. Italian 3. Cuban. The mac & cheese was meh, but everything else was spectacular. Shout out Erin and Rocky for the amazing customer service. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Sunday in the south is all about the comfort food, like when mom used to make her hearty meatloaf and mashed potatoes with black-eyes peas or green beans! Just imagine our delight when we headed to DBA Sandwich Company, a new sandwich shop now open in the Irwin Street Market on the BeltLine and found they have a potroast sandwich! Yes, actual pot roast on bread! Or if chopped brisket is your thing with a side of Brunswick Stew, they’ve got that too. Pot Roast Sandwich: this one is a show stopper. The roast is savory and well seasoned, the bread is crispy and buttery, the potatoes and carrots add heft, earth, and lather it in that DELICIOUS horseradish sauce that fave it a tang. This sandwich can either be drizzled with the gravy or you can dip it. Tip: drizzle a little on and then dip the bread to soak into the bread. FAVE. Chopped Brisket Sandwich: solid brisket with the right amount of oak and seasoning and cooked just right. They know their brisket! Brunswick stew: sweet, savory, and spicy with several meets stuffed in there and paired with tomatoes and corn. Matt mentioned they may do tacos. Cannot. Wait. They also have TACOS now!

If you’re in the mood for sandwiches, you gotta try DBA Sandwich Co! I had the Reuben the other day. It was phenomenal! The Angus Brisket is cured for 14 days and served with sauerkraut and Swiss cheese. Also tried their Braised Brisket and Carolina Pork tacos. Both were so flavorful and definitely highly recommend trying their tacos!

Don't usually write a lot of reviews but definitely had to give this place a shout out. D.B.A. Sandwich Company has some of the best sandwiches I've ever had and a very courteous staff. Their pastrami sandwich is delicious and the Southern Italian is quickly becoming my go to. Highly recommend!

This place is AWESOME! The service was fast and the food was hot and delicious!! We ordered the pulled pork sandwich on Texas toast, a brisket taco and a Cuban sandwich. The pulled pork was sauce on the side, but very smoky and tender. The same taste for the taco. I had the Cuban. It had plenty of thick cut ham cheese and pork. I was served with pork in bbq sauce and it was great. Next time I'll see if I can get it with the plain pork. Either way, the drive from Mableton (near Six Flags) was worth it !! Oh yeah no cash, debit or credit only.

Grabbed dinner here yesterday and it was a great meal. Food was tasty and pretty filling. Their Reuben is a hefty sandwich, and it hit the spot. Service is also top notch! Both the food and friendliness of the staff will keep me coming back.
