DC Pizza

Hi, tried this place out after riding my bike from Pittsburgh so I was in the mood for some really good pizza. This place is one of my favorite pizza places that I’ve ever been to. I liked that the place was clean, friendly, really quick to get in and out. I love the concept and I wish we had one of these in Charlotte. You walk in, tell them what you want on your pizza, watch them, put your toppings on and send it through the oven, which takes only about five minutes total time in and out around 10 minutes for some amazing pizza!

We ordered 2 large pizzas for 4 people and still had a couple of slices leftover. They were good, but nothing exceptional about it. The extra sweet and spicy sauce, which tasted like Thai chili sauce, was a bit odd! The sign "voted best pizza in the universe!" Not sure by who 🤔, but definitely not by us. The inside of the store is clean, and so is the restroom. We sat at the outdoor table around noon time, and got mosquito bites all over our legs. Such a nice and safe area though.

We are vegetarians - we ordered the build your own pizza - the fact that they’re making the pizza right in front of you is a very refreshing feeling - we got the spicy Italian sauce for base for both pizzas, we got one takeaway. The vegan chorizo stole the show - it was delicious! The person making the pizza also made sure to check with us if we liked the pizza so that was reassuring that they cared. They had a good variety of seasoning for you to help yourself! They have outdoor seating so you get the view of the busy world outside as you’re filling up on hot pizza - win win!

DC Pizza was amazing! I built my own pizza and it was phenomenal. I got the gluten-free crust and it was incredible. It is definitely on the thinner side, but the regular crust seemed to be more typical and doughy. I also got the spicy tomato sauce which was the highlight of the pizza alongside the hot honey. Surprisingly, the vegan cheese melted evenly as well and didn’t overpower any of the other flavors. Overall, I highly recommend this place and would absolutely eat here again. I especially recommend this place for those with dietary restrictions. They can easily accommodate vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan diets.

It's a great place to just pick up the pizza and go. I am vegan and have been pretty pleased with their vegan pizza (just don't put too many sauce options on it to avoid sliminess). Today the crust was extra good!<

The lady cashiering and making pizzas was so nice!! The pizza is YUMMY the ingredients used are top notch and they are so fast with it too. Loved it. Also the pizza is so filling a regular is good enough for two (but u might as well order another one cause it's so good)

Wow wow wow, they make fabulous pizza. We got takeout for our first experience and it didn't disappoint. Super fresh taste and just the right amount of chewy and lightly crisped crust.

Vegan Chorizo, what else needs to be said! For a flat price, you get to choose your cheese and sauce, and up to 4 toppings. There are some up charges, but there are enough included options that you don't need to pay more. On the weekend it's open late, great spot for the munchies.

Good pizza, great prices. The concept is really cool. You basically order like a "Subway" style and they make your pizza right there at the counter. I opted for The Marty which has: Naturally Sweet Tomato Sauce Three Cheese Blend Banana Peppers Pineapple Pepperoni Sausage Sweet Red Chili Sauce (finish) I loved the flavors together and it was fresh and hot! The cheese was wonderful and plentiful. The sweet chili finish was a great complement. My friend made her own pizza and admittedly didn't have as much cheese as mine did. It also took them longer than the promised "3 minutes" (maybe 10/15). Maybe just a one-off? I'd definitely recommend DC pizza for a quick and tasty option. You really can't beat it for the price and convenience!

Amazing quick personalized pizza. I love pizzas places that give you sauce and drizzle it on top of your pizza. Ranch and pizza have to go together. This was a small pizza shop that you order there and pizza is ready in 5 minutes.

I cannot get over how delicious the crust is on this thing. I mean don't get me wrong the whole pizza is delicious but the crust is just cooked perfect and has great Italian flavor to it. Love the whole in the wall tiny vibe to it. Staff greeted me right when I walked in. Found the station right away. Ordering is like "Which Which" (If you've ever had it) but basically you get a sheet of paper, check off everything you want on your pizza and a couple minutes later you get a rectangle of deliciousness. Ingredients were all fresh, cheese was melted perfect and the flavor is amazing. Went with the Alfredo sauce and can't recommend it enough

Visited for lunch and enjoyed the pizza. Ordering is done by self selecting your pizza dough, sauce, cheese and toppings on a form then they make and bake right in front of you. Very quick and tasty. Reasonably priced and each pizza could be individual or shareable depending on your appetite. Great place to walk to and carry out or sit and eat. Limited inside seating but more outside if the weather is good.

I looked through the menu before getting there. As soon as I saw The Marty as number 1 on the favorite list, I knew I have to order it. The ordering process is quick and easy. I wish the dough was hand stretched, and the sauce would be on the side. I did wipe off a ton, and it was still too sweet.

Very solid pizza, good value, would order again!! For ~$12, the smaller thin pizza was filling and tasty. It's easy to build your own pizza and it was quick to arrive. I built 2 pizzas 2 toppings each and they were both great. I wish there were more sausage and banana peppers but it wasn't a big deal. I ordered honey topping on the mushroom one and the taste was hardly there. However on the sausage one, I got the chili topping and that was a great blend of spicy and sweet!

We were looking for a quick spot to grab a bite to eat after a long day of sightseeing. I settled on this place because of their great reviews as well as their ability to accommodate a gluten-free dietary restriction. It was also just a few minutes walk from our hotel. When we arrived, there was one party waiting for their pizza to finish cooking and one party ahead of us to order. The ordering process is clearly indicated in multiple places. Once we decided on our orders, we handed them off to be made, got our drinks, and paid for our food. All of the pizzas were done quickly and made just as requested. Although, there is a long counter flanking one side of the restaurant, we opted to sit outside. All of our pizzas were very good. And they were a good size. I was able to split one with my daughter and still be full. Clearly we made the right choice. Pro-tip: They have a rewards program you can sign up for at the register.

Maybe it's better if you do takeout but delivery is not good. Pizza arrived ice cold. Cheese was hard -so sad. Order from somewhere else if you want hot pizza.

The ordering process was clear and easy, the line moved smoothly, business was operating well despite being busy, and the crew members actually looked like they were enjoying their jobs rather than just transactionally trying to get to the end of a work day. The combination of toppings I ordered on my pizza I'm sure the whole Yelp community would be disgusted by---jalapenos, pineapple, kalamata olives, and garlic---but trust me it was incredibly delicious! Fresh, hot, flavorful, crispy where it should be, packed with flavor, and each bite was as amazing as the next. The size is bigger than the pizza at &Pizza, a popular competitor. For $12.99, this is reasonable for made-to-order downtown DC pizza. The customer service was also fantastic and notable. I'm not sure if it is local or family owned but it sure felt like it. The cashier was genuine and affable and signed me up for a loyalty account, which I eagerly agreed to. I definitely recommend it! DC Pizza gets my Yelp Stamp of Approval!

We ordered delivery and it came in the given timeframe still hot. We chose chicken bacon ranch and pesto chicken (without mushrooms). Thin crispy crust was excellent. Overall, a solidly delicious pizza. The slices were wildly different sizes, but it's good to have options, no?

Super fast service and everything is cooked fresh! Friendly environment and they offer fountain drinks with free refills. One pizza is enough for two.

Great setup, with friendly staff. My pizza was excellent but the crust really stood out! Plus, we came on a Tuesday, where you apparently get a free ice cream. Family of 4 was stuffed and leaving with leftovers -- for under $60! I personally root for places like this!

Every once in a while I get a craving for pizza and so the search for gluten free (me) and regular (partner) begins! Solid 3.5 stars for DoorDash order (partner would say 4.5). I had the veggie pizza, GF, with pepperoni added. It was good - and fresh! - but nothing special. I prefer a thicker crust and more distinct flavor profile, esp. at that price point! I like the business and would consider ordering from them again and maybe making my own pizza, esp after seeing so many other positive reviews.

I was in the mood for pizza, so I tried this place. I ordered via Doordash, paid to have it straight delivered here, and it took about an hour to arrive. Unfortunately, the pizza was no longer hot, but it was worth the wait. The driver even apologized for the delay due to the traffic (no biggie, I even gave him an extra tip for the commute). Now on to the food. My family enjoyed the pepperoni pizza and said it was pretty tasty. But the star of the show was the Honey Sriracha Chicken pizza! The different flavors meshed so well together. I enjoyed every bit of it, down to the thinly layered crust. If you're undecided on what to get, let this be a sign and give the honey Sriracha chicken pizza a try; you won't be disappointed. Pros -great flavors -consistent taste -they gave me a free brownie & two cans of Coca-Cola Cons - none. I wish they were closer to me

Got the most amazing pizza here after working late and running out of food at home. Delivery was so fast and I was able to have a peaceful night thanks to them. The free sun dried tomatoes on top made my heart happy :)

This is not good pizza. It has super high reviews so I was excited to try it. The pizza was mid and the crust is floppy even for the small pizzas. The way you order is like Which-Wich, which is interesting. The staff was very friendly and quick. Super warm inside so don't go on a hot day.

It's a YES for me. Simply come inside and fill out a slip of how u want your pizza. Hand it in and wait about 3 mins. Your pizza will be piping hot and ready!! So many toppings, pizza is soooo good and there fast. Plus on Tuesday you get free ice cream (great flavors of ice cream too) Prices is reasonable (similar to &pizza) At this location there is typically a crocs but the line moves fast. For example I only had 22 mins for lunch ordered my pizza and for my food with 14 mins left to eat.

Al I can say is, amazing pizza! This is one of the best places I've been to for pizza in DC. They make it easy for you to order. Simply fill out the form and less than 5 minutes later you'll have your pizza.

Personal pan or whole pizza- your choice! We picked personal pan which was enough for two is us. The kids even chose different toppings on each of their sides super friendly and fast service. It's located directly across from AC hotel Marriot Washington DC.

Good pizza and in 3 minutes...this was spot on...great place for a tasty quick meal...worth the shot...

Great tasting pizza, especially the Sriracha Pizza and Pesto Chicken pizza. But more than the food, the folks who work there were very kind to our group. I'd definitely eat here again next time I'm in D.C..

The pizza was good and came quickly. The music suited our taste for upbeat on this beautiful sunny yet crisp day. For us, the best part of DCP was the chef, who hails from West Africa and France. Lovely conversation and friendly demeanor were greatly appreciated on this Easter Sunday.

The pizza was amazing...delicious sauce and delectable crust. Tons of fresh toppings and a heaping amount of cheese. Just a perfect blend of all the flavorful ingredients. Customer service was on point and pricing was spot on. Parking is challenging so order ahead.

I can't say enough about Rae. We had stopped to buy a bottle of red wine to enjoy with our pizza back at our hotel. On the way to DC Pizza, we realized our pizza would be cold by the time we got back with it, so we called to ask if we could open it at DC Pizza and drink it there at their tables. She said yes. Only problem was we didn't have our wine opener with us. We stopped at two stores on the way to no avail. But Rae decided to run (yes, run) across the street and borrowed one from the hotel. And then she ran it right back as promised. That's wow service!! On to the pizza! Thin crust and we requested well done and it was perfect! We will definitely get our future visit pizzas here!!

Pizza ingredients & sauce are fresh and you can taste the gourmet recipe. Very friendly staff and relaxed cafe style, out door shaded seating is a nice touch. Very happy first visit.

Didn't know DC Pizza existed. Spotted this pizza joint on Yelp. With an almost five-star rating and great Yelp reviews, I couldn't get to DC Pizza fast enough! My first impression? The pizza looked mouthwatering and tasted absolutely delicious! Service was friendly and efficient. Thought I found a winner... Then came the second visit...Womp womp! To be fair, the customer service was on point. But the pizza was a big letdown. Didn't look anything like the pizza I devoured from the first visit. In my opinion, this pizza looked overcooked...the cheese wasn't bubbling and the crust was dry as sawdust. To top it off, the flavor wasn't hittin'. Dang! Talk about disappointed! On a good note...I love their ordering process for takeout orders. It's quick and easy! Just grab a menu, write your name (a highlighter pen is provided), highlight your choices, and take the menu to the pizza making line. Voila! In three minutes, your pizza is ready! As far as prices are concerned, I paid $10.25 for a four topping pizza (tax not included). Pretty reasonable. But, keep in mind...after four toppings, you'll be charged $1.19 for each additional topping. Verdict? My only gripe is the inconsistency. The overcooked pizza on the second visit wasn't a good look. Our first here! We chose it because of the good reviews on THIN crust pizza. First off, all the employees were really friendly, which was nice. Secondly, the pizzas were both fabulous! 1. personals with 4 free toppings (including meat, which is nice!): diced ham, spinach, sliced tomatoes, and mushrooms, reg. sauce. 2. sausage, red onion, diced green pepper, tomatoes. Cheese blend: mozz/provolone (you don't see provolone offered much and in my opinion it is the BEST for pizza). Sauce (we had reg. tomato sauce and spicy tomato sauce). The tomato sauce had a wonderful FRESH texture (like it came from fresh tomatoes or from Italy, nice bright light red color). Pizzas were really good (and better than & Pizza, in my opinion). Crust was especially good (thinnish, but with a nice puffy texture, too). We saw several people coming in to order while we ate outside (tables with umbrellas). Sure hope this place stays around for a long time!

DC Pizza is always my go to for a quick delicious lunch. Not only are the pizza's delicious they are cooked quickly, and the staff are always friendly.

Spent 5 days in DC for a conference & after a VERY long day of walking and not much eating, DC Pizza came through!! The pizza was amazing! Ordered it exactly as we each liked it, it was fast, hot and leftovers were still good the next day!! Love this place!

I love the personal pizzas here! The naturally sweet tomato sauce is great. The gluten free crust is also a great option. I love the roasted garlic option on top of the pizza, as well as the sweet chili sauce. And the rosemary/garlic topping oil is delicious. They also have great chocolate chip cookies and brownies. And Dr. Brown's soda which is tasty, as well. Everything is good here.

Convenient pizza shop near other place that ended up closed. 1/2 the restaurants in DC are closed for Covid. This is a 3 min rapid bake personal type pizza joint. You get a rounded rectangle pie cut into 8 pieces. About 7.50$ for a cheese & 10 for up to 4 toppings. Lotsa toppings options. Few free accompaniments are available too. I got chicken, roasted red pepper, green pepper, onion. Added parm cheese, basil, bbq sauce on the side. The crust was thin and crunchy. Toppings were a fair portion. Coulda used a tad more sauce. Service was fast and ladies were mostly understandable & nice. There was some seating against wall like a bar. Hungry guy like me could eat whole thing, my girls about half.

Love it! Different pizza and very fast when you are on the run. Their system allows processing individually crafted orders quite efficiently.

The best pizza I've ever had! The honey sauce on hot pizza will make you want it again and again. Perfect for low key casual date nights it's nothing fancy but you'll love the food and the people. They also have gluten free options for us anti-celiac. Check them out!

Brought the fam for dinner. Excellent pizza and fast. Very friendly service, they explained the (overly complicated) ordering process. It works like an old school deli where you fill out a paper with your order. They gave us free cookies too! Don't miss out on Tuesday free ice cream.

had us waiting for a hour plus knowing we ordered before countless customers who ordered, received, and payed for their food before we were even acknowledged for waiting. pizza wasn't even better than dominoes save your money.

If I could give this place a 10 star I would.. This is far by the best flat bread pizza I have ever had. Cooked to perfection...Melts in your mouth not your hands Customer Service here is outstanding!!

I ordered DC Pizza for delivery with friends, and while I was not expecting to love the vegan cheese pizza, I did! It tasted just like dairy cheese, with all the flavor and gooey-ness you love, but with none of the tummy upset... 10/10! Even my non-lactose intolerant friends loved it!

It's a crime that I haven't reviewed this place yet, considering we order from here on an average of once a week. As some background, I don't like mozzarella cheese. That makes pizza pretty much a non-starter for me, but DC Pizza lets me customize a pizza without cheese. They get a ton of credit just for that, but even my normal-pizza-loving-wife agrees that the pizzas are great. In addition, the owners are incredibly friendly, and for close local delivery they use bike messengers who are some of the nicest people I've ever interacted with. When we eventually leave DC, DC Pizza will be one of the key things I miss. In the meantime, we'll just keep our order cadence high.

The pizza is phenomenally good and fresh. The prices are right for what you get and deliveries are fast. It's a very simple place that offers limited seating inside, but some outdoor seating for better weather.

The food and service here are consistently praiseworthy. The staff is great and the pizza is sooo good... I'm not even a pizza person. I've been coming here for years now and not once have I been disappointed, even when visiting after Covid lockdown. I always get a veggie pizza with whatever I want. It's thin crust but good crust! Everything is so fresh. Ambiance is that of a pizza joint. Go in order your pizza, cop a squat to eat inside (or outside) if you want, and depart. No white linens. No glassware. Straight to the point good pizza. Try them and trust me.

Delivered cold. I ordered a large Marty no sausage, add bacon. They just sent a regular Marty.

Delicious. Cason loved the guts at the counter. He went twice. We had a pizza that was pepperoni and chicken and it was delicious!

Man I tell you that DC Pizza has that vibe and taste I recommend that you should go the toppings was fresh and the pizza came out of the oven fresh other than that I would give it a A+ all the way
