DCG (District Chicken and Gyro) is hands down the best place for a meat-over-rice platter in the DC and DMV area. The portions are incredibly generous, and the value for money is unbeatable. For just $10–$12, you get a massive platter loaded with rice, flavorful meat, and fresh salad. Everything is well seasoned, satisfying, and consistently delicious. It’s the kind of meal that fills you up without hurting your wallet. Overall, DCG is a go-to spot if you’re craving great halal-style platters with huge portions at an extremely economical price. Highly recommended!

Heard a lot of hype about DCG. The mixed platter was delicious and the sauce hit the spot. It was pretty pricey and the establishment could definitely be much cleaner.

The quality of food is coming down there by day the chicken, the rice, and how they clean the veggies and the cleaning environment and all that The owner really has to do something about it. The quality of the rise has come down very bad.

I love this place. The only reason I am giving 1 star is because of less or neither sauces on online orders. Not one time, not two times, almost everytime. Damn it, without the sauces, everything tastes like shit. For God Sake, stop accepting online orders then.

Update: Reward points do not work here. If DCG are going offer reward points, then they should honor it. I went to DCG today to claim my free platter and the cashier said it did not work. I ended up just paying for it. Please Fix! The only negative about this place is the damn line. I love their menu. It is short and everything on the menu is great. This was my first time having Dubai chocolate. It has a very interesting texture and great taste. I had the chicken over rice with all the vegetables on my first trip on my second trip I had the gyro and chicken combo. Both times it was amazing. I definitely recommend this place. I don't know what's better DCG or Flavor Hive both are amazing.

Delicious. Steady line was a great sign. Great pricing. Service was a little reminiscent of Seinfeld’s soup nazi (“Next!”, no smiles). Front of house was cozy. Where you order (at the back) lacks any deliberate atmosphere… kind of a temporary-became-forever vibe. But who cares… it was delicious and I’d go back if in the area.

Don’t judge the food by its place/kitchen because the food which they serve is amazing. Best chicken over rice in NOVA. No doubt the place is small the kitchen is not big and clean but their food is amazing. They serve protein over rice or in pita or wrap. You will find white red green sauce for dressing. They have falafel options too for vegans. It’s not even expensive it’s just around 10 bucks in Tyson’s corner. You should try it once if you are passing by because it is worth it

I just dont get how the owner is okay with the place being as dirty as it is. They got a good product but why not put even aome effort into keeping the place cleaner? DCG is better taste wise but I won't be back if they dont improve the hygiene. Surprised a health inspector hasn't dinged them.
