Best Cuban Food in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"A Colombian-owned Cuban restaurant with multiple locations around Atlanta, the first D’Cuban Cafe opened a decade ago when Lucas Mejia Angel moved to the city and realized the need for Cuban food in Georgia. He often visited Miami and felt that Atlanta lacked a restaurant focused on Cuban coffee, empanadas, hearty plates, and desserts like caramel flan and tres leches. There’s also a fridge full of Cuban sodas, such as Materva and Jupiña. Ground Cuban coffee is also available for purchase by the bag." - Allison Ramirez

Best Atlanta Bakeries, Restaurants, and Food Pop-Ups for Empanadas | Eater Atlanta

"Located in Norcross and inside Marietta Square Market, D’Cuban has empanadas with a picadillo filling (ground beef and potatoes) as well as chicken or cheese. Order empanadas as an appetizer at the restaurant, but the pro move is to order an extra one and enjoy it the next day. Order online for takeout or delivery." - Lia Picard

First time, ordered the authentic Cuban classic and a vegetarian sandwich (don't judge me yet). The authentic Cuban classic comes with hot roasted pork, sliced smoked ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard. Sorry, but I don't do pickles. The sandwich was delicious, wish it was longer and more meat for the price. Still worth buying. The vegetarian sandwich (which was for my roommate) has bell peppers, and onions sauteed in Cuban mojo sauce, topped with melted with sweet cheese, mayo, fresh tomatoes and lettuce. Now first she said she wasn't hungry and was going to place it in the fridge! I asked her to nibble it and at least tell me if it's good, short story she ate it. Loved the flavor, EVEN said some chicken would be great in it!!!. I'm impressed. Good food, can't wait to try the rest of menu.

Ordered this through uber eats and was NOT disappointed! I ordered the Cuban sandwich, sweet plantains, and the pastry with guava and cream cheese. Everything was 10/10. I took a chance on ordering the sweet plantains and getting avocado on my sandwich, I wasn't sure how it would turn out upon delivery. Avocado was still nice and green and the plantains were the perfect consistency and still warm upon delivery. Sandwich was great, the meat was very flavorful. Will definitely be ordering from here again. Highly recommend. Update: I've ordered this same meal 2 more times and the second time I ordered it the quality was much different. Barely any meat on the sandwich, they gave me 3 small slices of avocado which were brown. Ordered it one more time and the quality was better and better portion of meat. Be mindful, it's kind of a 50/50 depending on who is in the kitchen that day. That skimpy portion of meat was very frustrating and disappointing.

Just ordered this place on Uber eats and I must say they have some of the best Cuban food ever. So satisfied, great size portion, and so fresh will definitely be supporting this business more often!!!

The girl is more concerned about talking to the boy in the green shirt, the one she longed for. She troubled to show me the menu on a big TV navigating the remote, but she couldn't tell me what she has for a breakfast menu? I'll make it simple they offer two items! She spoke English in Spanish, and she also didn't seem to understand me in either language! but kept looking at the guy in the green shirt making ignorant remarks about me in Spanish.... action with other customer, at the counter did you ask anything she's really short and confrontational. I came here to eat it and to have an authentic Cuban breakfast. this was not possible! I wish I knew who the manager is, but I imagine she's a relative. Her job is to be a quality waitress, not an auditioning model. I'm okay that they don't have the typical Cuban breakfast but you can treat people better than her... I came here two times; the first time it was 11:45, and I was told that I couldn't order breakfast. Today I came at the same time at 11:45 Presidio Farm. I asked if I could only have breakfast. First, she told me no. I started to leave, and then she said, "Well, you still have time." I can't imagine how hard it is to make two damn fried eggs with ham and toast. These are the things that Cuban restaurants don't have. Sausage, bacon, potatoes. Yo califico el Ambiente, con una estrella a pesar de que el lugar es hermoso cuando tienes un servicio tan pésimo como el lector principal perjudica al resto... ¡Me olvidé de mencionar que la música es perfecta!

Extremely Disappointed with My Order I ordered through DoorDash and just received my food—unfortunately, it was a huge letdown. I paid the delicious Cuban food, but instead received a burnt, overcooked steak that was barely edible. It was dry, crispy, and clearly not up to standard. What’s worse is that it seems like this issue could have been avoided if someone had simply checked the order before sending it out. It feels like no one cared about the quality or the customer experience. For the price I paid, this is unacceptable. I won’t be ordering again unless there’s a serious improvement in quality and attention to detail.

Of course! Here’s a polished review you could post or share: ⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The service was truly excellent—Carolina took great care of us and was incredibly friendly, making the evening even more enjoyable. The food was delicious, and I found the prices to be very reasonable for the quality we received. The only downside was that the restaurant felt a bit too hot inside, especially with the summer heat. It made things a little uncomfortable at times. I hope they can address this soon, as I’d love to come back and enjoy another great meal in a more comfortable environment. Overall, a lovely spot with fantastic service—definitely worth a visit!

The Guava Empanadas were a perfect balance of a sweet and tangy taste. The chicken empanadas were very fresh with a good portion of meat in it. Tres leches cake was delicious. I can't forget the passion fruit juice that left a lasting impression in my mouth. The service is excellent. The employees are always welcoming.

Yelp
Hands down one of the BEST cuban spots I've been to yet! It's a small hole in the way but the service is friendly and fast and the food is WONDERFUL! Reminds me of the motherland, Cuba!!! The ambiance is great but can get tight if it's busy! Hope you're not claustrophobic! lol

Yelp
Last weekend we ordered delivery because we were being lazy and didn't want to get in the cold. Looking for something new, we ran across D'Cuban Cafe in our "Want to Try" bookmarks. The dishes we ordered were packaged well for delivery and it all was hot and fresh. Often fried foods end up a bit soggy when ordered via delivery, but these were not. My favorite was the fried plantains with rice, beans, and ropa vieja beef. The garlic cilantro sauce was so good, we'll definitely order extra next time!! To get a sampling of the "sides" we opted for the Cuban Sampler. It came with an empanada (we didn't get to choose the filling and were hoping for chicken but got beef/picadillo), fried yuca, papa rellena (a bit bland), ham croquette (hubby liked this, I wasn't a fan), and sweet plantains. We also ordered a guava pastelito to share (delicious but kind of skimpy on the filling). Last but not least we shared a cuban sandwich...you can't try a 'new to you' cuban restaurant without checking out the Cuban. It was much larger than we were expecting (nice!) and had good flavor. We thought it would probably be much better if we were eating it fresh from the restaurant instead of a bit smooshed from delivery.

Justin G.

Yelp
We only order delivery from here so I can't speak to the ambiance, etc. what I can say is that the food is amazing! We seem to always get the Cuban sandwich... we need to try the other offerings. I'm sure they are fantastic too. Every specialty request is always spot on! These folks pay attention and the care! Hope to eat there in person sometime soon!

N T.

Yelp
Tl;dr the restaurant did not know how to accept orders from the app and so the food was not delivered. The restaurant did not answer their phone when I tried to call nor when chow now tried to call. I had a very frustrating experience with this restaurant and the delivery app chow now. I placed an order on the app chow now. The app never showed confirmation of the order. After waiting for at least 20 minutes I tried calling the restaurant to see if they received the order. After several attempts I got through and my order was confirmed. Meanwhile, the app never updated to give me a time to delivery. I proceeded to try calling the restaurant at least 13 times (looking at my call log) and did not get an answer. I tried to contact chow now via text and got a response, however, they too were unable to reach the restaurant by phone. Ultimately, I just drove to the restaurant expecting that they were short staffed and overly busy, but when I got there there were two employees sitting and talking with no other patrons inside. I was told that a driver never showed up. At this point our food was sitting for over an hour and was like warm. When the dust settled, the problem was that D'Cuban never accepted the order online and so never told their driver to get the food. My frustration was that if D'Cuban answered any of the calls from me or chow now, this problem could have been addressed.

Yelp
Best Latin Caribbean I've had in a while, i had the pulled pork plate, which has the perfect combination of ingredients. Felt like I was back in Puerto Rico.(i know it's a Cuban restaurant, but they have similar dishes). Loved it.
google avatar

Paloma A.

Yelp
I hope the owner or manager reads this. Having lived in Puerto Rico, Miami, and having Cuban family, I like Cuban food very much. This is the second time I've ordered from you guys, but it's always a letdown. Where is the love? Fries are undercooked and exteemely oily, noticeably fried in past due oil as they are dark. The Relleno de papa tasted like paprika and salt. No depth or anything, not even pieces of onion, although it had more meat than usual, but no Cuban flavor to it, and fried in the same dark brown oil. The sandwich was just mediocre, the bread was old, it had white american cheese instead of swiss, almost no mustard and just not made like it should. Shredded pork and just deli ham. Guys... please fix this! We need good Cuban food! Roast that pork and slice it, roast sweet ham and slice it, use swiss cheese and good crunchy pickles. Change the oil on that fryer.

Yelp
Not a true Cuban spot, asked for Cuban bread and it was horrible and super expensive, 4 sub size loafs $6.75 just for the bread. Crazy! Dont go! As a true Cuban, I have the right to say, this place sucks!
google avatar

Alex K.

Yelp
I can finally say I've tried a real Cuban sandwich. I've had it a couple of times, here and there, but nothing like this (especially the Jimmy John's version lol). Amazing. The juicy meat, crunchy bread, spicy mustard, and special green sauce they provide made me finally experience what Cuban sandwiches are all about. All for only 8.95 (as of July 2023).

Yelp
Food was okay, needed more seasoning. Nice to have sauces, but I still like my food seasoned well. The sauces also needed a bit of help.
google avatar

Angelica D.

Yelp
The lechon asado (pulled pork) bowl with plantains is hands down one of my absolute favorite things to eat for lunch. The bowl is quite filling and contains the most delicious pulled pork, rice and savory black beans. The flavors are truly incredible. Add the hot sauce and creamy cilantro sauce for an elevation of flavors. I also can't visit without the getting their beef empanadas. They're really good. It gets quite busy during lunch hours, but the wait times have never been too crazy. There's plenty of free parking, the prices are very reasonable and the staff is always friendly.

Yelp
The food was not bad, however the service was terrible. One of the workers at the front had a nasty attitude. we will not go there again.

Yelp
want to try the cuban sampler platter & cuban sandwich tropical drinks if they got them

Yelp
This is literally one of my favorite places in Atlanta. Get the empanada plate. It comes with 2 or 3 empanadas and sides. My favorite is their beef empanada. I usually leave that one for last. It is filled with beef picadillo- olives and potatoes included. The chicken empanada is a little more on the dry side simply because it isn't in the same type of rich sauce. But it is Seasoned and flavorful. They make their chicken empanada filling with carrots... so worth it. I also order the mango milkshake.

Hope H.

Yelp
Love the food here, food always has a great flavor. The only thing lately at Chamblee location is that the black beans are too watery and not thick enough. Please improve.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place for years. We moved and it's been a couple years since we've been able to return. We returned recently and I was shocked at how far downhill this place has gone. The things I used to love the most about this restaurant are all gone. Gone are the friendly servers who made you feel right at home when you walked in. Now, it's a cold "seat yourself" vibe and you have to walk up to the counter to order your food. The food here was always spectacular!! Like, the best Cuban I've ever eaten. Now, the food tastes very generic and mediocre. What happened to the Mojo sauce?!? The best part of my meal used to be smothering my lechon asado in their house made mojo sauce and hot sauce. I was told this time around that they won't bring mojo sauce out with my order. When I looked back in the kitchen area while waiting on our food I noticed shelves with store bought Badia mojo sauce. Seriously?!? The sauces have all changed. The hot sauce has changed completely as well which used to be so perfect. My wife ordered vaca frita, which always used to be served crispy. The current menu even says it's served crispy. Well when we ordered it this time, it was not crispy whatsoever. What a shame. Not to mention I no longer have the mojo sauce or original hot sauce that used to kick these dishes off. Also, what happened to the Congris rice?!?! Also no longer available. This place used to have the best food. Honestly it was my favorite restaurant. But since they've made these changes they have effectively ruined everything that set them apart in the first place. Truly a shame. The food wasn't bad overall, it just wasn't great. This is not the D'cuban I knew and loved for so many years. Seems that in the process of expanding their business, they effectively changed it completely in the process. Not worth the drive now that these things have changed and all my favorite things are no longer offered. Sadly, we won't be returning. What a huge disappointment. It might still be called D'cuban, but this is a totally different restaurant completely.

Yelp
My coworker recommended them and so I looked up their menu online and ordered ahead. This was great because I didn't have to deal with the lunch rush. When I got there, my food was ready to go so I paid and got outta there. I ordered the vaca frita pollo bowl which is basically shredded chicken on a bed of rice with black beans and two pieces of fried very ripe plantains. For desert, I got a pastelita. If I had not gotten the pastelita, this would be a 3 star review. The hearty nature of the meal was a welcome difference from the fast food I'd been eating. But I had greater expectations for the seasoning in the food. The chicken was OK at best, lacking in seasoning and pretty dry. The beans were pretty basic as well, also lacking any real flavor. Now that pastelita though?!?! Mayne! It was deeeelicious! Fresh, flaky, buttery crust with the most amazingly fragrant and plentiful guava filling. I couldn't stop thinking about it all day. I went back after work for another one, but they were sold out :'( I may not have ordered the best meal on their menu, I don't know. It wasn't bad, just OK. But the dessert definitely put the exclamation mark on it for me.

Yelp
We came here for the first time about a month ago, we are Cubans so we had high expectations. We were greeted by Camila, she was very welcoming and friendly, great service. We tried the sampler platter appetizer, it was good, the croquetas were a little bland and overly oily but not the worst we've had. I had the Cuban sandwich, it was very good. My partner had the pan con bistec, he said it was alright, not the best he's had. We also tried the pastelitos de Guayaba and queso, those were very delicious, the best we've had in Georgia. The ambiance was very chill and relaxed, not a traditional seat down restaurant, more like a order at the counter and seat a table if you'd like or take your food to go. If it weren't for the appetizer being a little bland and a bit to greasy and the pan con bistec lacking that extra flavor it would've been a five star.
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
The food here was so good & the staff was very nice! I got the palomilla steak plate, which came with the plantains, rice, beans and the onions on top of the steak. The steak tasted amazing with the cilantro aoli sauce. I also got the beef & potato empanada, which was also really good. I would definitely come back here!
google avatar

Laz S.

Yelp
My partner and I came to this place since we were craving some Cuban food, especially after the reading the reviews. Our hostess was Camila who was beyond attentive & professional, she made our visit very lovely. I ordered the Pan con bistec & requested it with avocado. The sandwich wasn't bad however it lacked more taste, the cheese wasn't even melted and it seemed like it wasn't totally filled. For its price the quantity on the sandwich wasn't much, that was not impressive to me. We ordered the Cuban sampler & everything was simply delicious, I was satisfied with everything that was included in the sampler. My partner ordered the Authentic Cuban sandwich & it was super yummy, this sandwich to my opinion was way better than the pan con bistec. We ordered the Guayaba (Guava) con queso pastelitos & I was impressed with the quality and quantity of Guava that it had. I have been looking for a well made & nicely filled Guava pastelito and I must say this place has IT!!!!. Sadly we didn't have a chance to try the Dulce de leche pastelito because they were sold out. We were lucky to get some additional Guava pastelitos to take home. The inside of this Cafè was Cute & had nice Cuban items that made the Cuban in me smile. There is plenty of parking next to the Cafè, it was nice not having to worry about parking. I will definitely be back to try other items from the menu, but not the pan con bistec. Camila, thank you for making us feel welcomed & for your awesome customer service

Yelp
2/5 Cuban sandwich with fries & cuban latte 1. Food served late; server didn't even notice when its staying over the kitchen. Employees been eating sandwich in between food serving. 2. Incomplete serve your order; missed coffee until you ask before you leave 3. Dried fries; char also added check the pic 4. Low quality coffee 5. Unbuttered bread; not crispy 6. Untidy atmosphere Not worth it to re-visit. It's been overrated I believe.

Yelp
Social distancing, and masks are required. ***The food is so delicious here.*** :-) This was our first time here, so we were really excited. I love the decor, the restaurant is clean, and plenty of space to eat. :-) We ordered our food, and sat at a table we chose. The cashier Jazmin took our order, and was friendly. If you need any assistance with the menu, she will assist you. Our son didn't dine with us, so we ordered his to go. But my husband, and I had Palomilla Steak and so did our son. My husband love onions, so he ate the majority of mine off of my plate. It comes with black beans and rice. It was very delicious. The entire entree was seasoned well. I forgot to order the empanadas, so I'll order some the next time we visit. We will definitely be back, soon.

Yelp
Our go to Cuban place! We drive from Sugar Hill just to have lunch and coffee. It's always great, it's pretty fast and the portions are huge. I always have plenty to take home. Highly recommend!

Yelp
It's like the worst corporate version of Cuban food ever or maybe more like someone saw Cuban food being served, didn't actually eat any and then opened a Cuban restaurant with food that looks like what they saw. Maybe I'm just being harsh because I'm from Tampa and this place wouldn't make it there where there are actual Cuban restaurants. Super bland food and many missing common options like breaded palomilla steak and moro rice? weird and completely uninspiring. It makes me want to hire a couple Cuban cooks in FL and move them up there to open a restaurant so that people know what the food should taste like instead of the insult to Cuban cuisine found here.

Yelp
This sandwich was delicious. The service was kind and helpful. Casual dining experience.

Yelp
I just tried this place for the first time about 3 weeks ago and I can't stop going back, going on visit #4! The staff has been super welcoming, and friendly, and has made great recommendations. I've tried the steak plate, chicken plate, Cuban sandwich, pastries, and always clutch coffee. The chicken bowl with tostones is my fav. Definitely, a place to check out with good vibes, people, and yummy food.

Yelp
The pastelitos!!!! I ate 5 of them in one sitting!!!! Food was really good. They were out of croquetas tho...

Yelp
I love the coffee ! It's always made perfectly . The empanadas and sauces are so yummy . I love the guava cream cheese puffs too . Lots of vegetarian options !

Yelp
It was good, but I liked the other location the bread is more crispy! Even tho I asked her to toasted extra they didn't :(

Yelp
Love love love! Omg their empanadas are sooo great! The chicken are my fave! And the green sauce, *chef's kiss*! Such a cute restaurant and the staff is super friendly. Love the freshly squeezed juices (mango is my fave) 5 stars!

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic. I got the plate: palomilla steak, rice, beans, sweet plantains. It was well cooked and very delicious. Definitely will come back :)

Yelp
The ambiance makes you feel like you're in Cuba. The Cuban sandwich was so really good. What could be better than meats, cheese and mustard on a perfectly toasted Cuban bread!?!? The beef empanada with chile de arbol sauce was fire.

Vanessa N.

Yelp
I would avoid this place during lunch rush as it can get packed or just order ahead. We were told 10 minutes wait time for our food, but we ended up waiting almost 30 minutes. Food: I had the cuban sandwich and the sweet plaintains. Both were pretty decent. The cuban sandwich was one of the few options that did not come in a half portion, which I would have preferred. Interestingly, we tried to order a chicken empanada since we saw that there were some available in the display case by the cashier; however, we were told that none were available. Weird, but ok, maybe those were the beef or cheese ones on overflow and we didn't question it. While we were waiting, however, someone else ordered a chicken empanada and the cashier took one from the display case. It was not worth bringing it up at the time, but now thinking it over, it would be nice to know why we weren't able to get a chicken empanada when they clearly were still available.

Yelp
Good food. Authentic Cuban. Friendly Staff. Always a good sign when Cuban folks are eating and working at a Cuban restaurant.

Yelp
On first look when trying to figure out what to eat for lunch, on a Friday, D'Cuban popped up as a restaurant to try. I've never been here and found out this place was literally around the corner from me. It's a real cute spot, decorated in Cuban decor and I would say is a slice of Cuba when you walk in. Be careful if you do come during lunch, there is a massive lunch rush. I ordered the Pan Con Lechon along with two empanadas, a cheese and beef (they said chicken was out, but it seemed like there were still chicken). I thought that the sandwich itself was a little dry. It wasn't bad, but I've had better. I think it could also be dependent on the type of sandwich that I ordered. Overall, this place isn't bad and I can definitely see myself coming back but probably will order ahead. I'm sure if I order some other dishes that I will have a better experience and also not going during rush hour. If you want some Cuban restaurant, I would recommend to come here if you want a more mom and pop type of feel of a restaurant.

Yelp
My go-to Cuban coffee fix plus amazing empanadas and guava pastries The Cuban sandwich is one of the best in Atlanta - just be prepared to wait in line for it at lunchtime (worth it). Come support a small business gem and super-friendly owner!

Yelp
This review is for takeout only. We're so happy they extended their hours to 8:00 now! We placed an order at 6:45 on a Friday night. It was ready in 25 minutes, even though the lady said it would be ready in 15, but no problem. Here's what we got: - Empanadas - Beef and Chicken ($4.95): I had been craving empanadas and these satisfied the craving! We liked the beef better than the chicken. Tip: Dip them in their green sauce! - Whole Cuban Combo ($9.95): The combo comes with rice and black beans (or fries, or plantains). My husband said it was delicious! - Ropa Vieja Dinner ($11.95): The beef was so good! The rice and beans were your average rice and beans. The plantains were heaven. - Palomilla Steak ($11.95): Delicious! Comes with rice, black beans, and plantains. - Vaca Frita Beef ($11.95): My friend said it was delicious and crispy. Comes with rice, black beans, and plantains. - Yuca Fries ($3.95): Always crispy on the outside. Tip: Dip them on their green sauce! - Tres Leches ($4.95): So, so sweet. I could only eat 1/4 of it. If you're going to get it, I would suggest splitting it with other people or saving some for later. In terms of Covid precautions, they require customers to masks. ...But then one employee wasn't wearing one at all. We saw 3 employees while we were picking up our food and 2 were wearing masks, but the woman who gave us our food wasn't. This was very disappointing. Overall, you can't beat their prices. The portions are so generous and filling. The food is delicious. We will come back again for sure. I just hope next time we come back, everyone is wearing a mask.

Yelp
Everything is well seasoned and with satisfying portions. Now I will be honest.. I've never been to the restaurant and sat down, but I have ordered through Uber. They have never disappointed me or my family. If the service is just as wonderful as the food I will update my review to 5 because it's the only reason they have a four.

Yelp
Came in here for takeout a couple days ago, ordered the half cuban with yuca fries and an order of tostones and...wow. I'm coming back. Cuban sandwich - this was just amazing! The taste was perfect, and it paired wonderfully with the garlic cilantro sauce but was also good alone. The half was definitely enough, wish they offered halves of their other sandwiches (I do want to try their pan con bistec, pan con lechon or medianoche) because these are pretty big. I'll admit I've never had a cuban sandwich before this because don't normally like ham at all, but with the mustard and pickle the flavor works for me. Yucas fritas - these were also excellent. Thick cut, fresh and neither too salty nor too bland. Also great either with garlic cilantro sauce or alone. Tostones - these were pretty tasty, fried to perfect a texture. They were a little bland alone, but just a bit of garlic cilantro sauce and just like magic, perfect tostones. Garlic cilantro sauce - I may buy one of those big jars of these they sell next time, I could eat this by the gallon. Spicy sauce - too spicy for *me* (I can handle medium Tostitos salsa at best), but I'd imagine that's why it's called spicy sauce! Spice lovers will probably enjoy, the tomato flavor was great otherwise. Overall, everything I ate here was delicious. Service was friendly, the wait for my food was very short, and the atmosphere of the cafe genuinely felt like I was back at a cafe in Calle Ocho in Miami. There's a lot else want to try on this menu, honestly - besides the sandwiches I mentioned I am really interested in the palomillo steak, the Tuesday arroz con pollo special, and the empanadas. Not to mention their coffee and fresh juice/smoothie selection (I've never had mamey, and I want to try). I would recommend this place to anyone who wants really good cuban or just a delicious, inexpensive meal!

Yelp
Food was pretty good as always but knocked the rating down for two reasons. Firstly, the vaca fritas was dry. Secondly, they now charge for a pick up fee. I called in a to-go order and was charged a percentage on my bill for doing so. No where on the website did it say there was a fee for a to go order or for using a credit card.

Yelp
Good food. Almost a taste of Miami in Peachtree Corners. Love the cilantro sauce wish they'd add a "order extra sauces" on the website.

Yelp
Best Cuban food in the area! Service is friendly and. Food is great! This is a go to spot for me for lunch. The chicken, black beans, white rice & plantains plate is everything! The chicken is always tender with no visible grease :) And the green sauce they give with this meal is absolutely delicious. Live this place, be back many times!

Yelp
Fantastic service. We walked in for lunch and was greeted by smiles and a warm reception. 100% feel good welcome. We were already excited to try this place and they made us feel super welcome. We went with the traditional favorites. The cuban sandwich, the ropa vieja and the lechon (roast pork). Portions are supersized, and we had plenty to share. Everything was good. You can tell they do their best in the kitchen and send out a plate they can be proud of. Not only that.. they have these fresh made sauces. Prolly made the same day. Kept in a cooler and brought out just for your meal. This is not store bought stuff. The pastel green suace, IIRC, was cilantro, wasabi? What ever it was... it was so good. The colada was good, but not like Miami Versailles good. Still very good. It was a great dining experience. Good food, great service!

Yelp
Wow! This place is the real deal!! Stopped by here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. From the moment we stepped foot in the establishment to the time we left, we were extremely pleased with the experience! We sat at the bar area, and were able to have an up close look at their great decor and amazing coffee machine, with tons of cafe bustello! Their coffee is soooo good! So authentic, it reminded me of the way my dad makes coffee! ~nOsTaLgIa !!! I ordered a steak Cuban sandwich, and my friend ordered the vegetable plate. Woo wowowowowo. So freaking good! In total, it was about $30, and the portions were more than enough. The staff is friendly and I can't wait to go back to eat more, my friend went back in Monday for a lunch break, jealous!

Yelp
#vegetarian. Went to the D'Cuban Cafe in Norcross around 1:30 pm today. The place wasn't overcrowded; 2 other customers were eating there. Other reviews say it can be pretty busy @ lunch time. The food tastes fresh, it's made fresh to order and the bowl was filled to the top. I don't know what Cuban food is supposed to taste like, but this food was flavorful. The salsa served with it is pretty spicy. I got the Veggie Bowl for $8.95 with sauteed bell peppers and onions, their homemade mojo sauce. Served with white rice, black beans and sweet plantains. Personal taste: I'm not a fan of the plantains in the dish, like the sweet potatoes Flower Child serves better. But if you like plantains, you'll probably enjoy those. I think I also would have liked the whole dish a bit better if I had added the avocado slices too since there's no meat in the dish. It would also be nice if there was a plant based meat option (or even tofu) for the veggie bowl. Colorful decor with mismatched chairs and antiques.

Yelp
Didn't know what to expect from this, but I really enjoyed their food. Every chance I get, I try to order Lunch from this small restaurant. The staff is friendly, and service is fast. I will definitely recommend the Vaca Frita.

Yelp
I have come here twice and both times were better than the last. The women here are very nice and hospitable. I order the Vegan sandwich and add an avocado. The vegetables are grilled and the bread is perfectly toasted. I love to come here on lunch breaks and I haven't been disappointed yet. I will always come here for a perfect veggie sandwich. By the way the price point is immaculate. Great place with great sandwiches and entrees for everyone.

Yelp
Eh... I ordered the grilled chicken with rice and black beans for lunch. Nothing spectacular - the grilled chicken was a bit on the tough side and a little under seasoned. Also had the chicken empanadas - again, on the dry side. I wasn't impressed, so I won't be back. I placed the order online and it still wasn't ready when I got there at the time advised. They seem to be overwhelmed by the lunch crowd.

Yelp
Food has always been great each time I go there Two young adults were servicing the tables. The male needs training on everything. I would still recommend for great Cuban food. Only complaint I have would be hours open. They close at 8pm.
